Media in London saying Tierney wants move apparently.

philtim88

1.) 23 Jun 2019 07:57:54
Huw would they know if he goes it should be for top dollar.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 10:15:35
I was in London last night guys and was speaking with an Arsenal board member. Didn’t give me any details at all but just said that if Tierney wasn’t an Arsenal player by the end of this week he would be very surprised. Only passing on what he said.

3.) 23 Jun 2019 10:18:55
If it’s true we should hold out for at least 25-30 million. when you got defenders like walker and stones going for 45 plus.

4.) 23 Jun 2019 11:35:19
30m, a sell on % and a couple of their young players as a sweetener. Bielik, Reiss Nelson, Smith Rowe and Saka look like very good young players. No way should we be looking for any less than this with the money being quoted in the EPl.

5.) 23 Jun 2019 12:13:54
He will be away for £20m plus sell on clause be end of week.

6.) 23 Jun 2019 13:32:43
20 million my arse. If the club sell him for that someone should get the door for it. McKenna is quoted at 10 million for God sake and Maguire 70 million! At least 25 to 30 min in the current market and add ons on top.

Celtic have been known for as long as I can remember as having a strict policy of doing business behind closed doors.

Clubs negotiating with us will be well aware of that, so why did Motherwell go public?

I think Turnbull agents (same ones Stuart Armstrong has and look what happened there) have advised Motherwell to go public to induce an English team to come in with a higher bid and bigger salary for Turnbull which leads to bigger commission for Agents.

As much as I think Turnbull is a good player, I would rather see club pull the plug and not deal with these Agents again no matter who player is.

philtim88

1.) 15 Jun 2019 08:21:31
To be fair agents have to do what's right for their players, however I would honestly prefer the club move on and cut ties with the deal. If the player was demanding more game time or if it was money, I couldn’t care less. As far as I’m concerned the player has earned his move, he was offered a substantial wage rise, now if he wants more game time and more money, he has to earn that, once he's in the door. If not, he's not the kind of player I want to be at Celtic park. To be honest I liked Armstrong on the pitch but all the carry on with his contract meant he was purely at our club for the money, there was a coldness there, not criticising him, just stating how I felt. I want players who are here for the honour of playing for such a prestigious club and to be part of the family. Each to their own and good luck to the boy, just not for us.

2.) 15 Jun 2019 08:20:11
I don't remember anything untoward happening with Armstrong.

3.) 15 Jun 2019 09:25:51
Am with u on that one phil.

4.) 15 Jun 2019 11:34:36
Kevbhoy his agent messed about hawking him all over England. When they couldn't find a club he'd only extend his contract for a season.

5.) 15 Jun 2019 12:43:56
That's right enough Kev. I forgot about that.

6.) 15 Jun 2019 21:28:29
Whilst I said agents have to do what's right for their clients, I don’t believe Mr Gillis is, I think he’s enjoying the heights of the job, acting like Billy big baws, something he couldn’t achieve as a player. He done better than me as a player right enough, but I’m still grounded and am proud to earned everything I have. Something that appears to be lost here! Seen a pic of Ross McCormack sleeping off a hangover the other day, maybe young Turnbell fancies that sort of career, chasing the £’s rather than the medals. As I said earlier, move on, I don’t want to see loads of youngersters getting his name on their new strips, if that’s the way he is. Would certainly avoid Prolegal in the future!

Anyone else heard mourinho?

philtim88

1.) 26 Feb 2019 15:57:47
What a turn around that would be 😂.

2.) 26 Feb 2019 15:59:12
Id take him.

3.) 26 Feb 2019 16:05:45
Bring the king home 🍀.

4.) 26 Feb 2019 16:19:48
More chance of Solskjaer if he doesn't get the Man U job at the end of the season?

5.) 26 Feb 2019 22:29:56
Not Mouruniho for me horrible watching his teams how they set up and play. Marco Rose would be amazing imo.

6.) 26 Feb 2019 23:04:58
Murinho after the UEFA cup final vs Porto? We wouldn't have been happy with that appointment at his prime.

Clarke has earned a crack at it the hard way.
Rafa is the European expert and available and why not?
Lennon will endear himself with us all within 6 weeks.
What about Ranieri? I think that's who I'd like most. Sort of in the Tommy Burns mode.

7.) 27 Feb 2019 07:18:50
Ranieri! Yes! Dilly ding dilly dong!

8.) 28 Feb 2019 11:33:27
Larsson Hartson Sutton oh and Kennedy lol dream team for ten in a row.

There has been too many incidents over past few years involving Beaton. He is incompetent and a cheat. There is no way even an amature league referee would think even 1 of the incidents in question was legit.

Hearing rumours he used to have a season ticket at Castle grey skull. Hopefully he gets his wings clipped for game and sent down a few leagues.

philtim88

1.) 06 Jan 2019 12:18:40
Royjac the board post our finances at AGMs etc. Go read it for yourself. £45mil.

Also people saying rangers signings won't win them the league

Or AEK we should have had enough to beat them.

Why are rangers the benchmark? They are terrible. We have no choice but to aim higher now.

Higher than the likes or rangers and AEK. This whole happy to scrape by is exactly the problem.

About time we tried to match our potential as a club.

The last caller on ssb phone in last night was class. Absolutely destroyed Alex Rae on a number of topics regarding this asterisk carp and his own use of ebt scheme. Was one of the best calls I've heard on ssb.

philtim88

1.) 30 May 2020 15:48:58
Aye I enjoyed that one. Rae made a right tit of himself. nothing new there though.

2.) 30 May 2020 16:04:14
Roughly, which part of the show was the call? Makes it easier to find👍.

{Ed007's Note -

3.) 30 May 2020 19:06:48
How did he slip by the censored process. Another barred from the lodge.

4.) 30 May 2020 20:15:02
Phitt brilliant usually listen but misted tonight just on what a hen.

5.) 30 May 2020 22:47:16
Wee Voldemort got his arse handed to him . When asked if the EBT titles should have asterisks he said Martin O'Neil said "we won them on the pitch". yet he tried to say the old guy wouldn't answer the question. Auld Frank also asked him about the 596,000 he bumped the taxman out of. Wee smeagol nearly stopped breathing🤣🤣😂.

1.) 13 May 2020 17:55:42
Cheers ED007 appreciate it mate.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

10 May 2020 15:27:39
All this talk about an asterix is nonsense. It is a non starter, just a campaign of hate from that mob trying their hardest to discredit our good run.

Dundee United never got an asterix, neither did any other champions. We most certainly wont.

philtim88

1.) 10 May 2020 16:23:11
They handed themselves 5 stars for doing hee haw, so I'm sure a wee asterix won't be a problem.

Sorry, need to correct myself. They awarded themselves 5 stars for winning league 2, league 1, Championship, Petrofac cup and getting a draw against Partick Thistle.

2.) 10 May 2020 16:34:19
Only in the minds of a sevconian will there be this asterix they all seem to be talking about! And we all know what goes on in the mind of one of them means absolutely nothing and nobody gives it the slightest bit of notice! History books will show 9 in a row was achieved yet again! And no amount of hun tears will make that go away! Let them greet to anyone who’s stupid enough to listen to them, whine about bullying and coercion and all the other nonsense they’ve made up to deflect from the fact their whole club is a shambles from the boardroom to the team to the half wits who follow follow any moron with a pair of brown brogues on! The pain every single one of them is going through delights me! 😂😂😂😜😜😜.

3.) 10 May 2020 16:40:14
I thought it was five Asterix on their jersey for either S E V C O or T R I F C.

4.) 10 May 2020 17:09:39
It is not something that bothers me because the more it gets brought up, the more you know they are hurting.
The season finishing early due to the virus, is out with the control of Celtic.

5.) 10 May 2020 17:47:28
I have no problem with the asterix, it will inform future generations of the situation we are going thru, I lived through the Hong Kong flu in 1968-69, but I don't remember anything about it, even though I remember watching the Lisbon lions on TV, the year before, and I have just read that the Hong Kong flu killed 80,000 in Britain, and am thinking, wow, I can't remember anything about it.

6.) 10 May 2020 23:59:20
Doesn't matter anyway. It'll be about 12 in a row before they challenge again. Tick tock.

7.) 11 May 2020 16:33:53
If there is a Asterix beside this league title it will make it all the sweeter for me knowing the hurt its causing them.

20 Apr 2020 04:25:59
A wee post in gratitude to ed007. Thank you for keeping page going mate during this epidemic. We appreciate it mate thank you.

philtim88

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Phil, hopefully it's helping all of you pass some time while being locked up.}

1.) 20 Apr 2020 11:45:39
Aye well done big fella it's appreciated 👍👍🍀.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate but I'm really not doing anything different or out of the ordinary. All this lockdown stuff hasn't really affected me apart from not getting to Mass on a Saturday and seeing my mum, the Mrs is still away out to start work at 5 a.m so our routine hasn't been messed up. While you guys are all climbing the walls and fighting the urge to strangle the wife & kids I'm just plodding on as normal 👍

2.) 20 Apr 2020 12:45:24
Ed do you work? Or is this that busy you don't have time for work?

{Ed007's Note - No mate I don't work. I had an accident at work about 20 years ago when a pile of steel beams fell on me causing multiple breaks in my leg and shattering my ankle, they put steel pins etc in and I was back working after learning to walk again & physio but 10 years ago the metal in my leg became infected and had to be removed (it wasn't pretty 🤮) and now I need to use crutches all the time to get about.}

3.) 20 Apr 2020 13:01:36
ED007 in my household it is the opposite way about, Mrs T and the girls fighting the urge to strangle ME, cannot for the life of me think why as I "brighten" up their day with my jokes and stories, which they have only heard 2000 times before lol.

{Ed007's Note - If I stayed with you, Tim I'd be out there licking shop door handles and asking folk to cough in my face - no offence mate 😋

4.) 20 Apr 2020 13:26:13
Geezuz, Ed, wasn't aware of that. I knew that something wasn't right in posts a few weeks back but wasn't aware of the extent. Just a wee word of advice, if you're going out licking door honnles and asking folk to cough in your face remember to wash your hands with soap when you get home.

{Ed007's Note - 😂😂😂

5.) 20 Apr 2020 14:32:40
ha ha ha ED007, just fro that I am going to upload a podcast of my "best" 10000 jokes lol
Seriously but did you see the idiot in England fekin LICKING a toilet seat there are some warmers out there.

{Ed007's Note - I seen that, the clatty get!}

6.) 20 Apr 2020 15:13:33
ED007 these idiots should not be given the oxygen of publicity rather all the good deeds people are doing, I know you and Moneypenny are heavily involved with your local foodbank and I have to blow the trumpet of Mrs T, we have two old ladies who live alone near us, Mrs T makes sure when we are out food shopping we get supplies for them as well, over the weekend there she made them both hot meals (she first asked them what food they liked) Saturday she sent girls over with two dishes of mince and tatties and fruit for desert, Sunday she got girls to take over home made Ham soup then gave them both two small cartons of ready made custard and some madeira cake for dessert.
The girls have even got involved in helping deliver foodstuffs to families in our area via a charity they are involved in, just essential foodstuffs like bread, milk, cornflakes, cold meats and cheese but both girls do it twice weekly and this is going on all over Scotland with neighbour helping neighbour.

{Ed007's Note - Bravo mate 👏👏👏👏👏 that's brilliant stuff from all of you.}

7.) 20 Apr 2020 15:31:29
Was it Gazza?

{Ed007's Note - That would have made the seat dirtier.}

08 Dec 2019 20:05:10
Is it not a bit ironic how start of the season that mob were slagging Julien off and he gets us the win against them? Lol.

philtim88

{Ed007's Note - It's funnier or ironicer(???) that we've been slagging off & laughing at El Duffalo for years and once again he done hee haw and was lucky to stay on the park.}

1.) 08 Dec 2019 20:24:54
Julien has been a rock. Yes we rode our luck today but football is about winning. We have our chance on the 29th to put in a better performance and put a nail into there so called title challenge.

2.) 08 Dec 2019 21:39:09
Julien might have been a rock but in that first half they were getting their heads to too many crosses coming into the Celtic box, I thought it was a great result but a shocking, shocking performance, I know Brown is an inspirational figure but what does he bring to the midfield in a footballing sense, I would rest him and stick Ntcham in his place.

3.) 08 Dec 2019 21:44:37
Be must had about 10 fouls and countless dives. No bottle V The Champions.

If he wants to go, he wants to go. If his agent has been talking to interested clubs then I'm sure club will have a list of replacements. Any deal should be on the basis any interested club signs bolingoli as well lol.

We all want season finished but realistically it's not going to happen. This covid19 is arguable one of the most infectious viruses we have possibly experienced and it's ability to lay dormant in people without symptoms indicate that this epidemic is far worse than we think.

There's no way league can be safely restarted in a few months as we don't know if we have even peaked yet in confirmed infectious cases. Top scientists and government officials have indicated it could be up to a year before covid19 is under control.

In interests of safety and financial security of clubs it's best league is called sooner rather than later. Sevco and Hearts can bump their gums all they want, but end of the day they have been rotten and sevco are lucky to be 2nd.

Tony2bhoy only reason that mob were allowed to (in my opinion) reform in 3rd division is old firm revenue from tv rights etc.

On subject of tv revenue old firm generates for sky and pay per view, it would be interesting to find out. Have always thought SPFL should of revisited idea of own broadcasting network on both tv and streaming. Surely would only enhance our game due to increased revenue.

My all time favourite all round goal is brattbakk against st johnstone the day we stopped them getting 10iar. It was the lightning run that done it for me.

As for header, Van Hooijdonk in cup final. For me it wasn't best header I've seen but signalled and of our bad run in late 80s/ 90s.

Tommy Burns is a legend both on and off the park. I had an uncle who died of leukaemia 2 years before I was born. Tommy would go up to Yorkhill hospital every week to see him and all the other sick kids. He didn't need to do this but made sure he took time to go visit. Meant a lot to my grandparents and all the parents of children in hospital.
