i read that benfica are optimistic of getting jota back in the summer as they have realised they have boobed by including a buy clause in the loan deal, does anyone think we will sign him or will he want to go back to them? i think he will go back.

I honestly believe he won’t sign for us. We are notoriously poor with loan to buy options! Both him and CCV will return to their parent clubs and unfortunately we will be left again.
Maybe some day we will learn our lesson??♂️.

I would love us to get both players in on a permanent basis. But with Jota if his parent club do say to him that they want him back to play for them he will let his heart rule his head and go back as he is a supporter of them. CCV maybe have more chance off getting him in permanent I hope as he is a quality player also.

Might be a lot to spend T1M but it's like buying shares at an agreed price in the future and the value then increases considerably. Essentially it's cash in the bank and as we could buy now for £6m and sell in the summer for £? m. No brainer but needs Jota to agree to come - probably with a buy out clause. Ideally he comes and stays for 2-3 years but seems unlikely.

If celtic are willing to pay the agreed fee on both jota and Vickers and they don't sign then it's the player or players who decided that. Celtic can't be blamed if the player doesn't want to stay and sign.

Celtic sound priced out a move for jota from what I've heard tbh could be lies playing funny buggers over the fee .

It would be hard to blame him (assuming he's a Benfica fan) . If one of us was loaned out from Celtic but then the club realised they wanted us back we'd go in a heartbeat. Need to just cross our fingers and wait and see.

It would be a massive blow losing Abada he’s a fantastic talent for me especially after losing JJ and GG. Who knows the reason or is it the Dom McKay factor once again? He can play wide or through the middle and can finish so for me it’s a loss. No point keeping him IF he wants away though and I’m sure Mr Postecoglu shares that view every bit as much as us.

Abada is still developing and is miles away from the finished article, so if he wants to leave, let him and he will find out very soon he is not ready for the next step in his career. He needs at least another year with us. If he goes he will struggle to get game time at most EPL teams imo at this time.

did the tour on sunday followed by a meal in the seven, as a birthday treat from the wife, enjoyed the tour but the restaurant needs to have a good look at its staff, first 20min after arriving and been seated we had to ask for some drink, then the starter eventually came it was fine, forty mins later they brought the sweet but we hadnt had the main meal so after it was all sorted we had the drink bill to pay as the wife had prepaid the meals, lucky the daughter had a look at the bill as she thought it was a bit much and lo and behold they had charged us for two lagers a whiskey we didn't have. staff were very young but this won't get us back.

That's very poor service dillits and I understand your disappointment.
We had the same package last month and it was excellent from start to finish.
I did notice the staff were young and you must have got them on a bad day.
I loved the meal and I've been looking forward to going back.
We're booked into the Kerrydale Suite for the Glasgow Derby on January 2nd.

It's opened Friday's 10am until 5pm
Saturday's 9am until 7pm
Sunday's 9am until 5pm.
The bar is situated at the corner of the Jock Stein and North Stand.

could be paper talk but if we go and get ko itakura are we getting to many japanese players, i'm thinking about the time they need away, plus and i may be wrong but are they physical enough for a hard scottish season.

While I might agree with you regarding too many Japanese players who might have to all go away at the same time for Intl duty etc surely there can't be any question about there ability to last a season in Scotland physically. From what we've seen so far they look more than capable of holding their own against the other sides.
Where I think we have a problem is the old one of buying good quality players who are expensive and trying to filter our own youngsters into the system.

we could always sign five or six players that are not so good but at least we will have done something, would that satisfy, glad to see brendan getting all the praise he deserves, remind me who brought him back, half the moaning faced crows didn't want him back infact more than a few were finshed with celtic if he came back. dd and the board brought him back because they knew it was the best thing for the club and they will back him but the player he wants are better than what we have and with all good player their club want to keep hold of them this leads to long drawn out negotiations that may come to fruition or not.
