Cannot believe that performance today, embarrassing is the only way to describe it, taking the lead and then shipping 5 is a disgrace, allowing Kent and el coo to score is too much, handing them the league on a plate #lennonout.

A few points:

1) 3-5-2 is not a formation to be playing at the higher end of “modern” European football. It is suitable to break down teams in Scotland who sit in deep by providing width and an extra man to link play and create in high areas. So formationally, Lennon was correct.

2) anyone who understands football and watched the second half in Copenhagen could see them:
i) building rhythm and breaking us down too easily. That was a big alarm bell for me.
ii) that with another week of football under their belt this was a very dangerous team particularly on a counter (hence no 3-5-2)

3) loss of Christie (his indiscipline when under stress again costing us massively this season) left us very flat in the second line of 3 as Rojic doesn’t provide the energy and depth he does.

4) as against Sevco a narrow Outnumbering in middle of park kills us (as in second half copenhagen and dec v Sevco) . IMO this is not due to lack of quality in midfield 3 when facing 4, but due to lack of quality in wide players (2,3,7,11) who are unable to take advantage and exploit the numerical superiority they then have. Go back and watch Sevco December game and see how little impact wide players made at either end of pitch even through we essentially outnumbered them 2 to 1 wide. Forest and Moi not all they are cracked up to be.

5) this game for me was always 50:50. I couldn’t believe odds danish bookies were giving on it. Anyone who thought we would waltz past this crew needs to go back and watch the second half in Copenhagen again. It was there for everyone to see.

Not surprised at all by result tonight.
Back to league duty.

3-5-3 or 4-2-3-1 my guess is 3-5-2

Neil should have had Ajer at RB last night with Chris and Jozo as CB. Second half was torture as midfield were non existent. Confident we will still get through, based on number of chances created.

Should have scored 2 or 3 in the first half. They came into the game in the second but we’ll put 3 or 4 past them at home.

Game of 2 halves. Should have been 2/ 3 nil up at half time. We pressed high in the 1st causing them to give the ball away but just seemed to drop that tactic in the 2nd.

Frimpong shouldn't have played - didn't look match sharp. Ntcham showing that he's not as good as he thinks he is. Ajer lost his man at the goal and looks so raw at times.

Fair play to Hayes. Thought he done well defensively. Jullien was a rock. Forster showing again why we should invest in him come the summer.

Would have taken a score draw before the game. They are definitely bearable at home.
