Mitchell Bakker LB PSG. Rumour on Twatter world.

Ninja1967

1.) 31 Jul 2020 16:35:46
Wouldn't be a transfer window with a link to a psg or Man city youngster lol.

2.) 31 Jul 2020 21:57:44
Dont know how true that is but he was very well thought of in Holland before heading to psg.

3.) 01 Aug 2020 00:41:25
He started in the French Cup Final for PSG tonight so doubt he’ll end up at us.

4.) 01 Aug 2020 04:25:00
Had very good performance vs Lyon. Got stuck in and not afraid to get on the ball.

5.) 01 Aug 2020 08:08:58
Least he's proven himself worthy then.

6.) 01 Aug 2020 15:47:17
And we've no chance.

7.) 01 Aug 2020 19:31:34
PSG still have Bernat and Kurzawa.

8.) 02 Aug 2020 00:08:21
Did he not play against us in the recent friendly?

Reports the Greek Goalie has passed his medical. 3yr deal with option of a 4th year. Meet Lennon announced officially tomorrow.

Ninja1967

{Ed007's Note - What? You mean Lennon hasn't even met our new 'keeper! Surely that can't be right..... πŸ˜‹

1.) 29 Jul 2020 20:05:18
Ed
Reports saying 3.3 million Euro + add ons for the Greek wall. Cheaper than previously reported. You heard how much?

{Ed007's Note - Most places are reporting that so it won't be far out, there might be some confusion whether the reported price is in Euros or Β£s but that will become clearer.}

2.) 30 Jul 2020 08:05:46
You can always rely on Pistol Pete to get the best deal possible πŸ€‘.

28 Jul 2020 14:56:24
Rumours of a bid for Sebastian Anderson 6m Euro. Hope it's a lot of guff. Would only signal Eddie leaving.

Ninja1967

1.) 28 Jul 2020 15:32:46
It would be massively underwhelming tbh.

{Ed007's Note - Can you see Pedro forking out 6m Euros on a 29-year old?}

2.) 28 Jul 2020 15:43:33
No chance not when we are getting the boy ajeti in that's 5 cf at the club. We'll you can't count on Bayo so 4 cf at the club. I think that's plenty.

3.) 28 Jul 2020 15:58:50
Absolutely no chance Ed. I don't know where all this talk of Ajeti having second thoughts is coming from either. All I've seen is guys on social media saying "he's having second thoughts apparently".

4.) 28 Jul 2020 15:59:07
The only way we we ouls be moving for that bhoy would be if ajeti wasn't coming.

27 Jul 2020 16:58:43
Reports Celtic have made a €5 million bid for Greek Goalie with €1.5 add on's.

Ninja1967

1.) 27 Jul 2020 19:18:54
Might be true, there's a big giant widden horse outside Celtic Park.

2.) 27 Jul 2020 19:22:02

Probably just Ralston leaving after the game.

24 Jul 2020 07:48:33
Olsen is today's latest Goalkeeper linked with us. Between or daily Goalkeeper hunt and the latest team going to play Gazillions for Eddie, Ajer. Will take a guess that the papers know feck all.

Firstly i don't want Fletcher but why can't we get deals done. Lennon says we are in discussion with his representatives. He's a free agent, supposedly wants to come here. Toney, Aljeti all seems like soap operas. You any insight into the drama of our transfer dealings.

Ninja1967

{Ed007's Note - The only dramas are being played out in the media and by fans online.
Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered but no more than that. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent formally about a transfer and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.

Agents will often try and get more specific details of wages and other financials before they should - but most clubs are happy to follow this process. Players will often talk to other players about moves but, whilst wrong, is tolerated as it would be impossible to manage.}

1.) 07 Aug 2020 11:37:57
ED007 these issues are surfacing because of a couple of things, a lot of people on here are looking at Sevco and watching how they seemingly move quickly, agree fees and wages and boom all done and dusted.
Whereas, the perception is, and at times it is right not always, that the bold Pedro plays silly buggers, ala McGinn last year, and will not agree anything until he gets even the smallest discount off a player's asking fee. His ego can be a problem in these deals at times.
You know, and I know Sevco do things at times out of desperation and have a compliant Scottish press core who only print positive spins on their signings, but some of our fans, my Tim pals included, keep asking how they can move so fast, while Celtic do not.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe they should dial back their infatuation with another club and what they do, it must be like supporting two teams for them trying to keep up with what Celtic and TRIFC are doing - but I'd bet they look up the TRIFC news & gossip first. It's now went so beyond embarrassing the amount of time Celtic fans spend talking about TRIFC they've actually became "Old Firm" supporters rather than Celtic supporters.
Every summer we read the same whining and bitching because TRIFC are buying players and we aren't, ask your Tim pals how many of their signings over the last few years have been a success for them and how many would have got near our first team?}

Cheers ed
Celtic and Rangers fans will judge each other until the end of time. Every Celtic/ Rangers forums comment on each other. This forum has its own section to do just that. Its part of Scottish football.
On the Transfer front seems very complicated. Our transfer dealing seem to be drawn out. Big pete loves to haggle. Outgoing its great, incoming its frustrating for us supporters.

{Ed007's Note - This forum has it's own section to do that because I can't be ar$ed dealing with grown men acting like kids - have you seen the state of the Celtic page on the TRIFC forum, it must be one of the most embarrassing pages on the entire internet. Just because people do it doesn't make it OK, they're grown men after all. There is not another support in the world so creepily obsessed and infatuated by their rivals than sections of the Celtic support, look at the so called Celtic bloggers who spend their entire lives writing about a club they supposedly hate. Ask yourself why that is, it's because they know that the obsessed Celtic fans will read it because it's about TRIFC and TRIFC fans will read it to undermine it, they don't care as all those hits mean Β£.
You've got one crackpot weirdo out there charging folk Β£10 a month to read a blog!
As I said, let's call them what they are, Old Firm fans, even though they say the OF doesn't exist they're helping to keep it alive with their downright weirdness.}

4.) 07 Aug 2020 15:18:04
How much does a transfer cost in terms off Agents fees etc? Does this usually work as a percentage so higher value transfers have more fees or do agents have a set rate? Also is this price included in a transfer fee or is this over and above?

5.) 07 Aug 2020 16:31:49

It might be an apt time to explain again about the cost of transfers (excluding wages). What is paid by the buying club would typically include:

(a) Transfer fee - the big number.
(b) Any levy applied by the local FA – 5% for the Premier League.
(c) Tax due on the transfer fee – typically this will be VAT (at varying rates across Europe) some or all of which should be reclaimable.
(d) Agent fees – this may be to one or more agents (as an example, Liverpool have spent Β£44M plus VAT on agent fees (nearly double the next highest) last season alone).
(e) Tax due on the agent fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the agent bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(f) Intermediary fees – this may be to one or more sponging leeches (what do you mean you have a super agent?) .
(g) Tax due on the Intermediary fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the Intermediary bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(h) Signing on fee to the player (possibly including non-reclaimable VAT if the player is VAT registered).
(i) Legal fees.
(j) VAT on legal fees which is reclaimable.
(k) Moving/relocation costs for the player.
(l) VAT on moving/relocation costs which is reclaimable.
(m) Solidarity and Training Contributions (see below).
(n) Paying up insurance costs to the selling club (usually waived).

What is paid by the selling club would typically include:

(a) If the player is under 24 and moving between different football associations, a Solidarity contribution paid to his previous clubs responsible for his training - this is 5% of the transfer fee received (apportioned 5% of the contribution for each year from the season of his 12th birthday to the season of his 15th birthday and 10% of the contribution for each season from his 16th to 23rd birthdays). This is generally (there are exceptions) recoverable from the buying club but responsibility (that is meant to be with the buying club) can be assigned to the selling club.
(b) If the player moves to a higher category club (all clubs being categorised 1 to 4) then Training Compensation is due for the period of age 12 to 21. Compensation is due to all clubs when the player turns from amateur to professional and thereafter only when he moves from his final training club to another club. The initial training compensation is levied at the training costs associated with Category 4 clubs. The subsequent figure is agreed between the sides or tribunal if necessary. This is generally (there are exceptions) recoverable from the buying club but responsibility (that is meant to be with the buying club) can be assigned to the selling club.
(c) Any monies owed to the player if he did not request a transfer – again this is 5% of the transfer fee received.
(d) Any monies owed to the player in terms of his contract (typically outstanding owed wages (not future wages) and bonuses).
(e) Any money contractually due to a previous club as the result of a sell-on clause.}

Agree with the bloggers and some in both support obsession with each other. Never went on any Rangers site so i will take your word about the other site.
Personally believe most football rivalry has obsession with its biggest rival. Work in Edinburgh and Hibs/ Hearts hate each other. We maybe see ours more as we live in that bubble. Cheers fir the transfer information.

{Ed007's Note - I very much doubt anyone with even a morsel of self respect would admit to being obsessed with their rival team. If two Celtic fans meet in a pub the chances are they'll be talking about TRIFC within five minutes.}

7.) 07 Aug 2020 20:54:06
🀣🀣🀣 never said they would admit it. Disagree about the pub part. Celtic fans would be slagging the board about transfers. Zombie bashing would be after that.

Do PSG have a 20% sell on clause for Eddie?

Ninja1967

{Ed007's Note - I thought it was 10%.}

1.) 04 Aug 2020 13:53:41
Cheers hope we don't sell this season.

{Ed007's Note - I'll be really surprised if Edouard left during this window but after the Dembele (and even the Rodgers) debacle you can't say for certain until the Club or the player say something publicly.}

2.) 04 Aug 2020 15:48:00
I was confident he would stay for another year but if a crazy bid came in the board would accept it.

3.) 04 Aug 2020 16:33:10
Pud if eddy wants to stay then he can't be sold.

4.) 04 Aug 2020 19:22:51
Steph. you’re 100% correct plus a wee bit.

02 Aug 2020 09:00:03
Lennon saying no bids for Eddie and no movement on Contract extension. Says Celtic are preparing if a bid comes in for any of our stars.

How much do you think Eddie is worth? . 25 million is my reckoning.

Ninja1967

1.) 02 Aug 2020 09:33:46
He will go for more than kt. I wouldn't except anything under 30 upfront and a sell on fee.

2.) 02 Aug 2020 09:52:56
Got Β£25m for KT. Good strikers at that price are like hen's teeth. I'd be looking around Β£30m given the league he's in and his potential. He's playing in the SPFL as if he was playing in his home backyard. As well as what he's done it's his age and potential you want the big bucks for.

3.) 02 Aug 2020 10:36:24
I hope the Board realize how much of an absolute bargain, Arsenal got with KT and a fully fit Tierney could walk into any top class side and be valued at 2-3 times the Β£25m.
It happened with Wanyama and VVD where Southampton made huge profits on our ex-players sold-on and we need to protect our own interests.

4.) 02 Aug 2020 10:58:29
ninja no chance 25 mill why would we sell for 25 mill then soon as he scores a few goals they start quoting him at 50 60 70 mill for me its 35 mill he has everything in his game. look at KT he has played a hand full of games and there saying 25 mill is a steal KT was that player before he left us now if arsenal were to sell they would want at least 50 so really we had a 50 mill player on our hands and we let him go for 25.

5.) 02 Aug 2020 12:26:26
If he wants to go he can go if we get 50m.

6.) 02 Aug 2020 12:30:46
Celtic could get Β£30 million just now because he still has 2 years left on his contract.
His value will drop after this transfer window.
His value will continue to drop the longer he goes without signing a contract extension.

7.) 02 Aug 2020 13:35:25
He cost 9million and no doubt PSG have a sell on fee so the board will be looking for a huge amount. I just hope he signs a new contract asap and is here for 10 in a row.

19 Jul 2020 09:49:51

Got this feeling apart from a Goalkeeper. Celtic aren't going to invest in Squad this Window due to C.V. 19 finical impact and sell a big player to counteract the finical hit. Any thoughts.

Ninja1967

{Ed007's Note - Nah, every season people look for a reason to say why the Club won't spend money or bring players in and then they do.}

1.) 19 Jul 2020 15:01:52
Cheers for the reply.

The year 2051. Quiz question:
Name the only team in Scotland to win 9 in a row TWICE πŸ†πŸ†.

Ninja1967

1.) 18 May 2020 15:26:53
I can't see that question being in a quiz in the future bro, we're not stopping at 9 this time. "Which Scottish club holds the world record for most titles in a row? " would be more likely.

2.) 18 May 2020 15:44:21
Or

Can you name the only existing Scottish team to win 9iar!

We were brutal yesterday never created 1 chance through open play. Manager couldn't change it when chips were down. Player's lacked urgency and ideas. Our full backs never beat a man. Our wingers never beat a man. Our defenders were scared of 1 physical player.
Lots of football to be played but no let's kid ourselves on. Yesterday was horrendous. Our board play transfer window monopoly every season.
