I was speaking to the lady that runs the deli I have been eating lunch from for the last 6 months. We were talking about the game on saturday and she told me her son and is friends with KT and showed me pictures of them together on holiday and nights out. She told me that KT doesn't want to move and that it's the board forcing him out. Whether this is true or not I don't know but thought it was worth a post to see what everybody's take is on it?

SOS-BHOY

1.) 02 Aug 2019 14:59:43
KT has the same FA as I do and I was told at a meeting with him several months ago that KT was open to a move south, but wasn't forcing it.
He told me that he would most probably be off to Arsenal if they met our valuation.
Leicester also obviously interested but KT didn't fancy them.

2.) 02 Aug 2019 15:01:03
Pish, he told celtic he wanted to look at his options after the Scottish cup final.
If he wasn’t for it, it would have “slipped” out over the last few months.

3.) 02 Aug 2019 15:04:31
My take is that if your story is true then KT can’t be forced to go anywhere. He’s on a long term contract and regardless of arsenal meeting celtics valuation KT can point blank refuse to go, it’s that simple. We’ll find out in the next week for sure where KT will play his football this season.

4.) 02 Aug 2019 15:07:44
Don't believe they are trying to force him out for one second. With his popular he is he could kill any move stone dead by coming out and saying I ain't moving. Board would be powerless after that.

5.) 02 Aug 2019 15:08:06
That's rubish don't believe for a second he getting forced out.

6.) 02 Aug 2019 15:44:29
Somebody always knows somebody who tells them the inside track. Rarely if ever anything but rubbish. KT wants to leave, he holds all the aces and his silence is a kick in the feckin teeth to us all.

Leaving now to me is shocking. But, if he wants to go and they meet our rubbish valuation he should go. Hopefully they have a megaphone for him to sing along big with the Gunners.

22 and had enough of his living the dream. If anybody else says that we know they’re for the off, Rogers and now KT.

7.) 02 Aug 2019 15:53:33
Kev that’s what I was saying to her. If that was the case then KT could speak out and say he wants to stay and it would end the situation right there.

8.) 02 Aug 2019 16:03:09
The fact Arsenal have made two bids would suggest they know otherwise.

9.) 02 Aug 2019 16:30:02
If arsenal meet our valuation and pay up I wouldn't begrudge him the move. The boy is one of the best players in Scotland and has given us great memories.
I'd love him to stay for two more years and be part of even more history.

10.) 02 Aug 2019 16:32:56
Come on Celtic will look after Kieran and no way is he being forced out.

11.) 02 Aug 2019 17:34:48
I was never going to post this as no one would have believed it but here goes the woman who sits in front of me at park head is a teacher at st ninians where we send a lot of our youth players and her 2 bhoys who also sit in front of me attend the school they were telling me and the others who sit with us that the gossip from the kids is that kt has been very unhappy that the club has never came out to say he's not for sale the way they did about cal Mac and that's where the rumour if the rift between him and Lennon had come from not sure how true it is if at all kids can sometimes add to the story but that's what the story is.

12.) 02 Aug 2019 18:15:10
Some of our supporters and K T need to remember that Celtic played a major role into making him the superstar that he is . It doesn’t wash with me that he doesn’t want to go, if he wasn’t happy to leave he would be Celtic Park every game using his mega-phone pleading to be allowed to stay .
I am really disgusted with him, after all his talk and love of Celtic, ten in a row etc. I was gullible enough to believe, he was different, he could survive earning in excess of 1 million a yr . eating his mother’s rood, his mother making his bed and doing his washing . If he goes to London, the lady in his life will have other interests other than lifting his socks and washing his drawers .
K T, if he is the super fan he claims, can’t walk away, no point in him coming back in ten yrs, as far as I am concerned, well I won’t be here.

13.) 02 Aug 2019 19:36:44
Jaw1888, it’s this simple. Your story could be 100% true, who knows but the bottom line here is Celtic clearly will accept a certain fee for KT, now for arguments sake that fee is matched and Celtic accept, KT will be well within his rights to refuse the move. Celtic could’ve came out and said “ no he’s not for sale” but every player has their price at Celtic including cal Mac, the difference with cal Mac and KT is there is definite interest and bids made on KT. does anyone believe if an English club for example Leicester bid £20 million plus for cal Mac that Celtic wouldn’t accept the bid? Celtic will accept bids they believe are acceptable but they cannot force a KT or a cal Mac to accept the move. If KT in his heart of hearts wanted to stay no matter what you’d think he’d have told lawwell and Lennon under no uncertain terms he’s going nowhere.

14.) 02 Aug 2019 20:24:52
Our board have previous for “forcing” players out, Samaras, Ledley and more recently Lustig, they don’t reward loyalty, so it is a very strong possibility that it’s the board who are pushing the transfer not KT .

15.) 02 Aug 2019 22:45:37
Keeping Samaras and Lustiq wouldn't have been rewarding loyalty, it would have been an example of stupidity, in keeping players who had loyally picked up big wages, but were no longer worth those wages.

16.) 03 Aug 2019 07:33:21
Agree Aindoh Lawell is all business.

17.) 03 Aug 2019 20:04:03
Thank God Lawwell is all business . There are no medals handed out at the end of the season for the clubs who showed most sentimentality.

Ed you heard of any interest in kouassi? Seems to be completely quiet in the press.

SOS-BHOY

{Ed007's Note - The last I heard was that Werder Bremen were showing the most interest in taking him on loan. There were other teams mentioned but it was the Germans who seemed the keenest.}

1.) 16 Jan 2018 18:47:53
As the window ticks on and the way BR changes his stance on getting players in do we think BR is being sensible or is he being held back by the board etc.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 19:40:54
That would be a good move if we could loan him to a German team they play the game the correct way.

{Ed007's Note - The lad needs start playing games and if it's not for us I'd be happy just to see him going anywhere and actually playing football.}

3.) 16 Jan 2018 20:05:30
At the real risk of being classed a pessimist, our stance on transfers is shocking IF we don't get players in. With mount get injuries, poor form and players sent out on loan, we seem to take two steps forward and at least one back, sometimes more than one!

4.) 16 Jan 2018 21:53:55
Me aswell Ed heard good things about him before he got signed but I like the look of Benyu when he had a couple of games. If Jordan Jones goes to The Rangers for £1.2 million plus £5million when they get to champs league final they might be in need of a midfielder and Steve Clarke’s a good coach.

{Ed007's Note - I still can't believe that Clarke went there. I've no love for Killie and usually would love to see them get relegated but I'd like to see him doing well and given time he could turn that entire tinpot club round.}

5.) 16 Jan 2018 23:39:57
I’d like to see him play, he just needs a platform to showcase his talent. How long is Armstrong out for? We would end up short in CM for a change.

So after sleeping on it here's my take.

1-1 is a good result but the he performance overall would have seen us destroyed by a better team.

Boli hasn't had a great start but that was a shocker last night and could have cost us. Why wasn't he subbed off?

Morgan is 1 dimensional and doesn't seem to have the ability to make a head height cross. Could do with a year playing week in and out in the spl and asses next year. He is still young and can develop but not good enough at this point.

Selling Sinclair and KT dismantles the full left hand side of a Treble Treble winning side. Boil may work out but we need to replace both. Sinclair has been declining but selling him is only ok with a good replacement.

Jozo picking up another injury reiterates we need another centre half.

So by my reckoning we could do with 5-6 players with 2 leaving and I just can't see that happening.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 08 Aug 2019 09:35:03
Thats shows its always best to sleep on it. Good post.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 09:49:46
You missed Christie should be off set pieces they are awful but a cb and another striker is needed me thinks.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 10:49:55
Sinclairs defensive qualities are absolutely key in our game plan and they will be missed. The point of Boli last night he was exposed far too much as Morgan didn’t do him any favours with defensive work. Boli will settle at SPL level but I am unsure about European football.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 11:09:35
Mally your 100 percent right on the set pieces we were delivering out swingers instead of in swingers and the delivery was woeful. Ken your right about Sinclair defensive qualities he really did work his ars3 off. Morgan’s defensive work is no where near good enough. His positional decision making is poor as well. He cut inside quite a few times when he should have been running up the line.

05 Aug 2019 09:46:43
What about mason Holgate for RB? I'm not sure on the cost. He looked to be coming on really well then ended up on loan last year.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 05 Aug 2019 11:29:08
He is a cb who can play rb, I just read some premier league teams prepare to pay 10m for him.

28 Jul 2019 16:20:35
I prefer to wait until the transfer window is closed before I asses our business. The issue I have is that NL insinuated we would only sign the young CB Pavlovic if we qualify for the champions league. If this is through the player not wanting to move unless we have CL football that's another topic for discussion. If this is the club not capitalising and not pressing our advantage by penny pinching should we be concerned?

SOS-BHOY

1.) 28 Jul 2019 17:04:33
When did lenny say that.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 17:20:14
It was in an article a day or two after he went and watched him. He stated that it would depend on CL qualification and he didn’t want to go to far down that train of thought as we still have plenty of work to do to get to the CL.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 19:36:23
Cheers 👍👍.

4.) 28 Jul 2019 19:37:12
Thats not what he said, He actually said this
"A lot would fall into place if we do qualify but I’m uneasy talking about qualification as we are still so far off it. "
Thats doesn't mean we will only sign players if we qualify

He also never confirmed what player he was talking about, He was at the Partizan Belgrade the Media are jumping to conclusions again and saying he is there looking at Pavlovic.

Lennon has stated himself that he is looking for another RB a CM and Striker, he could have been there watching other targets.

5.) 28 Jul 2019 20:59:19
He could have quite possibly been scouting other players, but the conversation stemmed from talking about Pavlovic. I also used the word insinuated and the point of my comment is, should we be concerned that anything is to fall into place because of the CL? It is about time we do all we can to qualify rather than hedging our bets! We have made a lot of money through player sales and I would like to see our club do everything they can to ensure CL football and 9IAR. Not waiting for an extra 15m guaranteed.

6.) 30 Jul 2019 08:26:02
All the posts about there being plenty of time to get the players we need are the same we read last year and every window for the last three seasons. After an encouraging start we are in the same boat. It seems we never learn. Or I should say, Lawell never learns. Still, if we sell KT his bonus is triggered. Every cloud for Peter.

14 Jul 2019 11:54:12
With the progression of Henderson and the potential need to replace Ntcham. What is everyone's view on whether we buy to replace Ntcham or will that just impede the progression of our next academy star? I think that when we have a player of such quality and promise we need to promote from within.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 14 Jul 2019 12:02:43
That will depend on whether or not Lennon thinks he is ready for first team action and if he thinks our midfield need strengthening.

2.) 14 Jul 2019 12:14:10
I agree he will be a great player, but the reason we went for Turnbull was for the goals from midfield that are missing from the current squad and I still think we will try to sign him or similar?

3.) 14 Jul 2019 13:37:49
Henderson is nowhere near taking over Ntcham when he was at his best for us. People are getting carried away with the praise for the lad. Yesterday he was mostly anonymous as Rennes co trolled the midfield for the most part. Griff got absolutely no service and the little he did get was mostly awful passing.

Henderson still looks like a wee boy and as if he could do with a few haggis suppers. He has ability but he is nowhere near being ready to play a role for 90minutes in our midfield.

Unless we want overrun that is.

4.) 14 Jul 2019 14:38:52
I would prefer a Wanyama type of midfielder in. Henderson etc are too lightweight.
We are getting bullied in midfield and Brown doesn't have the legs anymore.

5.) 14 Jul 2019 17:21:59
Henderson will baulk up thru time with conditioning coaches. Plenty Haggis and Homemade Soup for him and wee mikey. The 2 of them and Dembele all look about 15😂.

18 May 2019 15:57:30
What's everyone's thoughts on turnbull from motherwell? 19 years old 15 goals and 4 assists from a midfielder. Scored as many goals as edouard in the SPL. Surely we must be having a look?

SOS-BHOY

1.) 18 May 2019 16:11:53
A was talking to a motherwell from work the other day that says he's a far better player than hastie but i've never really payed much attention to either so can't really give an opinion.

2.) 18 May 2019 16:27:58
I think it would be a good move. Everyone I’ve spoken to plus all the pundits rate him as one of the best Scottish prospect in years.

3.) 18 May 2019 17:13:50
Stephbhoy your English is worse than mines and I am Italian.

4.) 18 May 2019 17:26:26
Looks like a player, and for £2m or so probably worth a punt.

5.) 18 May 2019 17:43:27
Think Motherwell are looking for 2 million for him. I think he would be worth putting a bid in, maybe 1.5 and a couple of our younger players on loan to get them first team experience.

6.) 18 May 2019 17:51:09
And we like our £2million punts.

7.) 18 May 2019 17:53:45
So wit, am scottish no english.

8.) 18 May 2019 18:02:52
The club record for a Motherwell player is £1.75m and that was for
Phil O`Donnell.
I heard Radio Scotland today just before kick off and they were saying what a player this boy is.

9.) 18 May 2019 18:05:58
Put in a low bid and it will end up like the John McGinn mess.

10.) 18 May 2019 18:43:13
Never really seen much of him but you can't have enough goalscorers from midfield in your squad. With the likes on Allan, Weah, Burke and possibly Benyu away £2m isn't too much to spend on a player that's outscored the lot put together.

11.) 18 May 2019 18:57:45
Benyu bravetart? What a massive loss he will be 😂.

12.) 18 May 2019 19:12:33
Why buy this lad fir 2m when we have our own young lads to bring through?
Obviously he has talent yes, but so do we with the like of Henderson and Regan Hendry so for me I wouldn't buy him.

13.) 19 May 2019 02:21:52
Aindoh your right regarding mcginn. I think he has played over 40 games in all competitions for Aston Villa. But what I find interesting is Steven Fletcher statement he wanted to sign for us, but petrie said they preferred him to move to England.

Duff, Taylor is a left back. If we really wanted him he would have been signed long before now. He’s a decent player from the little I have seen. I was hoping for better as our second LB.
