Obviously a game nearer the title and still 6 points ahead. So, why do I feel so deflated and peed-off?

Think we are running out of steam. Hatate shouldn’t start another game this season, we know what he is capable of but he looks knackered and way off the pace. We’re way too soft in the middle of the park. And most of our problems come from inviting teams to pressure us in our own box. Add to that, not taking our chances. Even not playing well, we should have been out of sight before they scored.

Delighted with the win and the way the team has battled and overcome all sorts of adversities, while playing with a style and dominance that we all appreciate and enjoy.
However, two things are bugging me. The first is in our own hands and that is making much more of the chances and set-pieces we create in abundance but are failing to capitalize-on to put a game to bed and that was even when we had our recognized strikers playing.
The second point is the regularity of every match official making honest mistakes and showing severe inconsistency. Celtic should have raised this matter long before now as the Establishment now appear to be pretty blatant in their habits. The fact that we are still winning is huge credit to Ange and the team, because if we leave it until a bad result, then it is labelled 'sour grapes' and totally ignored.

There’s a big difference set pieces between ourselves and Sevco at both ends of the pitch.
Once again Celtic have conceded from a corner kick and it nearly cost us 2 points last night.
And also once again Sevco score from a corner kick.
It seems that when they struggle to break teams down from open play, they can rely on taking advantage of a set piece situation to finally score a goal.

2.) 16 Dec 2021 11:08:48
We really struggle against set pieces, we ain't the biggest but we have to be more switched on.

3.) 16 Dec 2021 12:08:09
Spot on buzz am desperate for us to sign a heading machine of a centre half! Some might say julien but got a feeling we can forget about him.

4.) 16 Dec 2021 13:07:30
Our frailty from set-pieces goes back several managers and defensive personnel and formations. There is a definite apprehension on and off the pitch when we concede crossable free kicks or corners.
Don't want to dredge this up again, but maybe if Ange brought in another coach or two with fresh ideas and solid defensive practices?

5.) 16 Dec 2021 17:17:08
My link went down as Turnbull took the corner. If anybody is looking for lucky white heather pm me.

Feckin brilliant though regardless if i witnessed it or not. Well done Anthony son. You have combined your fight for the ckub you love with a level of performance i hooed you had but d8dnt believe. Over the feckin moon you proved you can play. Keep it up son.

Another week and another atrocious referee decision to show a mild yellow instead of the correct red card and it's all too predictable. For God's sake Celtic will you at least take these cheats to task and acknowledge you are aware of the concerted effort by the Lanarkshire Mafia to encourage opponents game by game, content on trying to crock our players without repercussion.
On the playing side, we are a joy to watch when Rogic and the rest of the midfield are on form and ripping through defenses, although without being critical, we could maybe be a bit more clinical.

Ange and the team get the much-needed away win and to fill the boring gap before our next game, I have just read DD is thinking about appointing Shevchenko as manager?! Don't know who's worse Sevco Media or the Lanarkshire Mafia.
Back in the day, Sir Bob or Big Jock would be calling these fuds to account, shriveling ego's, black balling culprits and watching the wet patches appear on breeks.
The next CEO needs to have balls.

We need to find a bit of form after the break, tough away ties at motherwell and a much improved hibs, play like sun and we'll be lucky to pick up full points, we used to do what sevco are doing without the elp of the bros and win ugly.

2.) 05 Oct 2021 12:48:59
Mally i said on Sunday after the game that I thought we were average. Having watched the game again it was impossible to play the way we wanted due to a referee who was hell bent in stopping us going forward by awarding the much talked about 27 fouls against us, no team could play to their strengths with that amount of stoppages and still don’t know why Turnbull was booked.

3.) 05 Oct 2021 13:41:50
Slippy called out a ref (can't remember who) after a game and the ref never got put in charge of one of there games for months, Why can't we do the same?

Although if we did the ref that we called out would probably be in charge of every second game.

4.) 05 Oct 2021 14:11:42
Jonbhoy71 I believe it was Collum and Clancy both never had a sevco game for many months Buzz Bomb will be able to confirm it was those two.

5.) 05 Oct 2021 14:25:15
I think if we call out referees they just go on strike! Maybe not such a bad idea! Would be interested to know how rangers faired during the referee strike!

6.) 05 Oct 2021 23:26:29
I think you are being too kind to Jota, I think he is brilliant, him and a fully fit Kyogo, will run riot against anyone, but those fouls given against him, were because he underestimated Ramsay, and when Ramsay beat him, he couldn't resist clipping Ramsay's heels, cheap and easy fouls, but still fouls,

7.) 06 Oct 2021 13:02:57
Some of his fouls, you are 100% right Aindoh but every time Ramsey was touched, he went down like a blow up doll with a puncture. We are heading towards “non contact football for attacking players but defenders can be all over you at corners etc. My other pet hate is defenders blocking to allow the ball to run out of play, anywhere else on the pitch, that is obstruction. If a defender is allowed to block, the attacker should be allowed to boot him up in the air.

There were periods last season when we were without both Kyogo and GG and it could happen again for whatever reason. I'd rather have a decent viable option in the squad ready to step-in, rather than unreliable guys like MJ, Ajeti as well as the absence of Griffiths.

As soon as the final whistle sounded on our title winning season, I kne it wouldn't be long until the rumours and speculation about all things Celtic would start. Ange has thanked and stated he is delighted his backroom staff and I would hope like you Mally it's mince. Where would you rather choose, between us and Dundee?

Yes, I agree we need quality competition for every position and there will be more positions to address in the coming months. HH.

Comes as a big surprise to me, as I thought players over 30 were only offered short extensions? I appreciate JF has had a terrible time with injury all season and is further down the pecking order than he has ever been, but if he can get fully fit and it's a big IF; Ange must think there's a place for him. Or does it mean Jota may not sign and we are covering ourselves?

Considering what he walked into, he must be very happy with the progress made and the success achieved, in such a short time. When you remember that several players arrived only in January, plus the fitness and injury problems over a few players throughout the campaign, it has been one the greatest achievements in our history. I'm really looking forward to next season and with players already out the door and others who are not in the plans, there could be exciting times ahead preparing properly for the CL with no quals.

I agree he will improve under Ange, with more experience and good players around him. He should get more game time with Rogic away so staying fit is a priority. However, I'm not sure if we will bring in any other midfield players in the summer, as Soro is away and there seemed to be a reluctance to play Ideguchi and McCarthy? However, one player I have been very impressed with at both ends of the pitch, is Matt Q'Riley and I expect him to get even better as well.

It was another trophy we maybe took for granted - especially after the quadruple treble, but with our unique SC reputation and history, I hope we can see our name on the trophy again very soon.

I would like to see a Maestro, type or a Murdo McLeod, or Stan Petrov I think players like that have every asset to be midfield dinamo's.
