Don't normally post rumours, but I have it on good authority from a pal in the Netherlands that Celtic are in big time for Lindon Selahi from Twente. Don't know anything about the bhoy.

1.) 24 Jun 2020 10:12:48
Is your pal hoopsman.

2.) 24 Jun 2020 10:13:40
Think this gas came from Twitter mate.

3.) 24 Jun 2020 12:48:26
No, honest. Heard this just this morning. He is adamant we have bid £4m.

4.) 24 Jun 2020 12:49:33
We are all u2 fans and keep in touch. I wouldn't post BS.

{Ed007's Note - Do you know why Bono wears those daft glasses? It's so he can't see how much of a c**t he is when he looks in the mirror. 😉

5.) 24 Jun 2020 12:59:51
If it's true they'll prob want more dosh and the saga commences.

6.) 24 Jun 2020 13:14:48
Noe, now, Bond! it's cos he has glucoama. (Spelling! ) I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely adore them. Went to Singapore to see dem last year. SUPERB! HH 9IAR.

{Ed007's Note - I used to be really into them but Bono got lost up his own ass so much and the music rapidly went downhill after Achtung Baby imo. I've seen them at Celtic Park (both nights), Murrrayfield (once in the 80s when I was about 15 and there was one about 15 years ago too) and also in the SECC a couple of times.}

7.) 24 Jun 2020 15:48:43
Fair play!

{Ed007's Note - 👍

8.) 24 Jun 2020 18:08:35
Ed007 if u want a right good laugh at Bono making a clown of himself, watch video on YouTube "U2 San Francisco bono mistakes SF for sinn fein".

{Ed007's Note - 😂😂😂😂😂 what a 👊💦💦

We WILL get over the line. In my humble opinion NL is not the answer and we should be looking elsewhere. I have defended PL to the hilt and said he is running this club/ business extremely well. HE AND THE BOARD NEED TO SHOW THE SAME AMBITION THAT ATTRACTED THE RAT! Thanks Neil, for getting us out of a wee hole. He will get a job, no bother. WE NEED a class coach.

CarmyleBhoy

1.) 22 Apr 2019 02:24:11
Agreed but who do we get? We got Rodgers because he is a Celtic fan who happened to be out of work. Who else at that level would come to the SPL?

2.) 22 Apr 2019 08:30:04
We are not out of a hole yet, we could go into our last game against Hearts only 2 point in front because the way we are playing I don't see us winning away to Aberdeen or Sevco.
Lennon will become the man known for blowing the 10 IAR.

3.) 22 Apr 2019 11:14:27
I am still very confident that It will be 8 in a row for Glasgow Celtic, unfortunately, Celtic have not scored the goals required against Livingston, and Hibs, Celtic had chances against Livi but did not take them, Against Hibs we also had chances, Some players taking shots on goal when they could pass to someone in a better goal scoring position, French Eddie, is still a inexperienced forward, but In my opinion I Would play Weah against Kilmarnock, and play Rogic in place of Ntcham, Hayes at left back instead of Izzy, and I would play Sinclair on the Left, as he always has the potential to get a goal, Hibs played well yesterday, and if Hearts had played half as good on Saturday they might have made more of a game of it, or are Hearts saving themselves for the 18th and the 25 of May when they play Celtic.

4.) 22 Apr 2019 12:07:02
Goals are needed big time I’d take in 2 forwards in summer plus we will have griff and bayo eddy all ready for next season for me I’d take hooper back on 2 year contract as he’s free in the summer and also shankland as a prospect I think the boy could step up and score barrel loads.

5.) 22 Apr 2019 13:22:51
I still can't understand why he didn't play Burk the game was calling out for a guy like that.

6.) 22 Apr 2019 13:36:14
we Have never once taken advantage over our rivals this season. It’s been nothing short of lucky at times and that’s not good enough. We don’t scored enough goals. We’ve had a terrible season considering we should be 20+ points in front of our closest rivals by this point. We’re going backwards. Don’t act like everything is in the bag because it is not. There’s no fight in that squad and that’s the issue. We’ve got too many players that don’t want to finish games off. It’s terirble to watch right now.

7.) 22 Apr 2019 15:47:07
Just look at the games since the winter break after we brought in Weah and Burke.
Before BR walked out we had played 9 games in the league and cup and scored 26.
Since Lennon came in we have played 9 games and only scored 12.
We haven't scored more than 2 goals in any game except the semi against the Sheep and have had Three 0-0 draws.
Lennon said he wouldn't change anything but that is total horse rubbish, the first thing he did was drop the boys on loan and the performances have went back to the way they were before the winter break, although until Lennon came in we had won EVERY home game.
I can't believe people are still coming out with the "in Lennon we trust" crap.

{Ed007's Note - He's changed our starting formation from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 and only changed it yesterday when Rogic came on even though he could have pushed McGregor up with Brown & Ntcham playing the CDM and box-to-box roles in the 2.}

8.) 22 Apr 2019 22:12:54
Think Ntcham needs a run in the team ED we all know what he can do when he’s playing at his best. Arguably our second best midfielder. McGregor being first.

As for how we are playing I think the players need a rest. How many games have we played this season now? 60? With hardly any rotation and multiple injuries. Tough going for the lads and really need a break from it all. We better not mess this up.

{Ed007's Note - You need to remember that Ntcham - a 23-year old man - is missing Dembele 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Who's going to sign him if he's going to constantly pine for Dembele, Lyon, Man Utd?

9.) 22 Apr 2019 23:10:42
I would think one of the last players N L would have thought of giving game time to was Burke . N L was certainly not going to forget Burke missed from less than 2 yds an open goal in injury time.

10.) 23 Apr 2019 00:47:13
People legit in a panic because we drew one game? Some think losing this league is a possibility?

Come on not one can actually be serious?

11.) 23 Apr 2019 07:02:43
That is ridiculous when it comes down to it ED 😂. Tesla we drew 3 of our last 5 in the leauge and they were 0-0 draws. Should have won every single one of them.

12.) 22 Apr 2019 23:14:39
Lol Ed you crack me up! Watching Leeds balls it up again today do you think a failure to gain promotion in the playoffs will give us a window of opportunity to move for Bielsa? Or is it all just wishful thinking?

{Ed007's Note - I do think Bielsa will leave Leeds if they don't get promoted but I just don't see our board showing that level of ambition.}

13.) 23 Apr 2019 10:17:49
I’m sure Bielsa is on a crazy wage packet Aswell. Is he not on like 3-4m a year?

{Ed007's Note - There's internet talk about £8 million a season (I think the story actually started in that bastion of truth & integrity The Daily Star because he was supposedly on that at Lille, which is a totally different kettle of fish to Leeds in the Championship) but that's more likely to be closer to the total cost of his 2-year deal including bonuses etc.
More reliable reports from the press/media say that he's on a basic £2.5 million a season - £8 million a season means he's getting more than Benitez, Emery at Arsenal, Klopp at Liverpool and Rodgers at Leicester, in fact £8 million a season would make him the 3rd highest paid manager in the UK. Even Zidane wasn't earning £8 million a season during his first stint as Madrid gaffer.}

14.) 23 Apr 2019 11:41:03
Wonder if he would take a wage cut to come to us. Or is he stubborn don’t know him that well.

{Ed007's Note - Bielsa isn't really motivated by money, Ken though obviously he makes sure he's getting paid the going rate. Here's what he said when he joined Leeds:

"It has always been my ambition to work in England and I have had several opportunities to do so during my career, however I have always felt it was important to wait for the right project to come along and so when a club with Leeds United's history made me an offer, it was impossible to turn down."

Stubborn you say? Now that's a thing that is pretty important - and maybe a negative when you consider our own treatment of managers in the past - is that if he doesn't feel the club/board/president are on the same page as him he'll make it known and if things don't change he'll leave. Look at Lazio where he lasted 2 (TWO) days saying the Italians had broken promises and they were unable to recruit the players he wanted and he felt that the club weren't supportive during the transfer window. Before that he left Marseilles after clashing with the club's management/board and at Lille he was suspended after 13 games after clashing with the board again about his plans to replace their ageing players - think Chelsea when the likes of Terry and Lampard were on the decline but still held a lot power at the club.
He's a bit temperamental and eccentric but he is still one of the best coaches in the world and one of the biggest influences on the modern game. It's not going to happen but we can all dream 😞
What about Bielsa with Lennon as No.2 learning from him and getting himself ready to take over after the 10 and GoingFor55?}

15.) 23 Apr 2019 12:16:45
Sounds like a great character ED that wants to do well wherever he goes. Shame that Directors etc tend to be obsessed with money on all fronts. He seems like he understands what the fans want and that’s important at a club like ours. But you could bet lawwell would never back him!

{Ed007's Note - He doesn't seem to spend loads of money on transfers - apart from he's never been around long enough 😂😂 - he's more the type that will work to improve the players we have and tweak where it's needed with new additions. Off the top of my head he only spent about £10 million last summer at Leeds and about £7 million (+ add ons) of that was on Bamford.}

16.) 23 Apr 2019 15:15:07
I’ve watched a few games of Leeds this season Ed, they play attractive football. Just recently when I’ve seen them though he just seems to sit there when they leak goals, add to the fact he doesn’t seem to speak English may be a problem for us. Let’s be honest if ( hypothetically speaking he took over and struggled for the first few games the not speaking English language barrier would be brought straight up by a lot of fans) . It seems we are narrowing it down to moyes 😂.

{Ed007's Note - He began taking English lessons shortly before he arrived in the UK.}

17.) 23 Apr 2019 17:24:50
How much was Rodgers on when he was here, was it £45k p/ w?

18.) 23 Apr 2019 19:35:25
That would suit our system perfectly then, on that note have you ever heard of the Musafadza boy from Azerbaijan?

19.) 24 Apr 2019 09:31:52
So this Biesla guy has a great record of falling out with boards, but apart from that has he achieved much as a manager?

{Ed001's Note - built Chile into the best team in South America from a tiny group of players, very few of which were even international level. Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal were potentially quite good before he worked with them and turned them into great players. He coaches players to be much better. He did win titles in Argentina and was their first ever manager to win the Olympics. The key thing is his coaching though, he is a fantastic coach, he produces fantastic football and improves average players into ones that can play at the highest level.}

20.) 24 Apr 2019 11:16:55
Sounds good,

21.) 24 Apr 2019 12:57:11
Sign him up, hope Leeds don’t make it up now 😰😂.

22.) 24 Apr 2019 17:51:28
He would fully understand the interpretation of the rules in Scotland by SFA, by referees and assistants and by the support and help of the MSSM . This and the criticism of players and manager if they happen to not win a match, by Celtic 's so called wonderful supporters . Does anyone actually think he would last until Christmas.

23.) 24 Apr 2019 23:59:40
Leeds was no where last season and up there contending for the league until the past month. Can still go up through playoffs of sneak 2nd. Just think we need to be ambitious for 10iar and not pick Lennon through sentiment. Sure Rodgers was on around £2.2m a year? With the money they picked up for him moving to Leicester surely they can cover Bielsas wages and sell him on the idea of being the first coach to win the 10.

I personally think if Edouard was going to be signed it would have happened by now. I also think another year's loan would be ideal for all parties.

1.) 30 May 2018 01:26:22
the window isn't officially opened yet.

2.) 30 May 2018 08:57:58
As much as I share your desperation to have this deal set stone PSG have set a date of 16th June for us to complete the deal.

3.) 30 May 2018 15:24:41
Just like all the people last summer adamant PR wasn't coming back because "we would have signed him by now".

P*** poor again. Yes, we should have had a penalty but in all honesty, we are woeful! Big clearout needed. IMHO. Bain, Laxalt, Christie, Brown, Moi, Rogic, Klimala, Barkas, Ajeti and Eddy are either coming to the end of their contracts and need to be sold/ Too old/ Punted back to their parent club.

CarmyleBhoy

1.) 21 Mar 2021 16:31:21
Said during the live-chat that the number of players I want to see next season in The Hoops, is becoming less and less.
It's absolutely shocking how we've slipped from a treble-treble, 9-in-a-row team to this in a few months and apart from Lawell and the management team who overseen this debacle, there are too many who have let the club, support and themselves down and should bolt.

2.) 21 Mar 2021 17:03:26
Going on the performance today and by reports of players wanting to see I think there might only be 3 players that started today that will be in the team next season.
I'm not talking about the players on loan but for me the only players I would keep is McGregor, Turnbull and Welsh.

25 May 2020 10:12:31
Bhoys, another random post but, IF we can't keep big Fraz (And I so hope we do) then I would go and get Joe Lewis from Aberdeen. They are talking about getting him over on the dark side, however I have always rated the boy and think he would be more than able should we not be able to keep Forster.

CarmyleBhoy

1.) 25 May 2020 13:31:52
Is he any better than Bain? I don't remember him ever standing out.

2.) 25 May 2020 21:01:04
Would rather have big Fraser.
If not possible, Joe Hart available on a free transfer?
Would depend on wages, but surely if he wants first team football, can play European football, win medals, then why not.
Or is he past his best?

25 May 2020 10:10:51
Just want to say. there has been talk recently of whether or not Brendan Rodgers would be welcomed back to Paradise for celebrations, should we achieve 10IAR. NOT FOR ME. I am a decent chap and wish no ill will to anyone. However, if I saw BR in the street I would pass him by. He is a crackin' manager and class operator, however I cannot forgive.

MON on the other hand. Now, that man is CLASS! Met him in the number 7 years ago. My pal was going through a hard time asked him to sign a card for her. He stood for 10 minutes thinking what to write. MON is aCeltic legend. BR (What a brilliant job he did) is not.

CarmyleBhoy

1.) 25 May 2020 10:29:38
I would welcome Brendan back.
Although the way he left us wasn’t nice, I still think we should look at what he achieved.
Brendan wasn’t the best at signing players but he was a good coach and manager.
He basically took Ronnie’s team and turned them into the Invincibles.
When we won the league at Tynecastle, only Sinclair was his player. The 10 other players had played the previous season.
I think he took us to another level which will guarantee Celtic 10 In A Row,
and for that, I will always be grateful.

2.) 25 May 2020 10:59:37
Ofcourse I would welcome him back, he transformed our team and created history.
Guys we got to get away form this hatred thing that's a Sevco trait.

3.) 25 May 2020 11:32:07
There are Judas's in all walks of life - especially football. Rodgers, Kenny Miller, Mo Johnson. All had one thing in mind - there selves. They are mercenaries but the one thing that stands out is that they are winners. If they do what they do to the best of their abilities then the team benefits too. They chase the dollar and if that motivation makes them better then sobeit. Would I want Rodgers back? To be honest, why not, the guy's a winner.

4.) 25 May 2020 11:55:27
I would also welcome back Brendan Rodgers. I hated the way he left like every other Celtic fan but he also gave me some of my best memories as a fan aswell and for me the many positives of his tenure outweighs the negative departure. I would be quite happy to see him return one day as manager again.

5.) 25 May 2020 12:56:22
Another good post from Rayman. Maybe it's me. Maybe I should be more forgiving. Not being funny. I shall contemplate.

{Ed007's Note - I wonder if everyone would be so forgiving if we hadn't won the league last year?}

6.) 25 May 2020 13:17:51
He should be snubbed, they way he snubbed us.

7.) 25 May 2020 13:36:07
Not for me. I respect everyone’s opinion and have no problem with people welcoming him back but it’s a big NO from me. In my opinion the timing of when he decided to leave put 8 in a row in jeopardy. People will say he left us with an 8 point lead but there was still a lot of football to be played. What also sticks in my throat is how he constantly told us he was in his dream job yet jumped ship as soon as Leicester came calling. They say times a healer well if that’s I case I need more time 😂.

8.) 25 May 2020 13:38:51
He’s a rat end of. Wanted to gut us of our entire back room staff. He left get him tae France and he can stay there.
Will be the same fans that chased the bunnet out all those years ago that want the rat back.

{Ed007's Note -

via GIPHY

9.) 25 May 2020 14:03:28
It's Danny MGrain I worry about. Has Neil told him his job is safe. Rodgers had 11 games to be immortalised with a Treble Treble. His choice was English Mediocrity which is fair enough but all the Celtic is my team nonsense we got. No Celtic man leaves with 11 games to go. It's a no for me.

10.) 25 May 2020 14:09:36
not for me. the way he left and tried to take our whole back room staff with him the team morale could have collapsed and we could be sitting on 1 in a row just now because of him walking out when he did he had no care about that at all it was all about him getting to Leicester as quick as possible.

11.) 25 May 2020 14:30:11
Danny McGrain has a job for life an absolute gentleman why wouldn’t his job be safe?

12.) 25 May 2020 17:23:03
He is not doing anything any one of us wouldn't do.
Going to a bigger and better company and massive wage rise.
Its kinda hypocritical to say otherwise im sure we all have done it in our lives.

13.) 25 May 2020 19:15:48
so you would have walked away rayman the way he did.

14.) 25 May 2020 20:16:49
Ad crawl over broken Glass to play for Celtic and have done it for nothing. A so called fan doesn’t walk out on the club they claim to love. He’s a Judas and always will be in my eyes. Was a great coach but he’s a nobody now. Only way is down after celtic.

15.) 25 May 2020 21:02:02
I don't like the way he walked out on us but by the same token I will always be grateful for the double trebles he achieved the two years previously.
In his first year in charge I thought we played some of the best football that we'd played in years so I have to be grateful to him for that.
If we reach the ten then I would be happy to give him a round of applause along with Neil Lennon and Ronny Deila as all three of them played a part in reaching the milestone.

16.) 25 May 2020 23:42:44
Campsite boy,
Your not serious. My post was obviously about Rodgers saying "I said to Danny as long as I am here you have a job. Then Danny denied it happened. Rodgers played us like a fiddle with what turned out to be empty words.

I am surprised Taylor has not asked to be loaned out. How the lad keeps getting overlooked is very unfair.

2.) 26 Jan 2020 11:24:37
he must be really bad in training, because if hayes is the best alternative then god help us.

3.) 26 Jan 2020 13:22:28
I like Hayes but his crossing is woeful. Can't seem to get the ball in the air.
