If you read every media story about us, the headline reads, Celtic looking at. but when you read into the story it adds, however no contact has been made.

It is not worth reading any stories until players are paraded in a strip with their agent and lawyer holding up a signed contract, otherwise they are just stories with headlines deliberately written to pull you in.

Brian Wilson and his brass neck statement, players will come in over the next week, which was 4 to 5 weeks ago.

In past times I used to get a little excited about the preseason games, As it was a time to look at new arrivals to the squad, but sadly those times seem to have gone and the only time to see the new arrivals is the last week of the window. When will the board learn? I am still waiting for the usual P+++ about hard window and the world Cup being a factor.

We have brought in one signing and I am not blaming anyone for this for once but he isn't playing as he has a illness. Most teams are well on their way preparing for the new season and Europe not Celtic we wait and wait and just hope something happens. CROSSING YOUR FINGERS doesn't win anything DD.

I believe we were interested in the Egyptian winger before the WC and probably could of got him for 2 or 3 million, now because of one good game at the WC we are in a bidding war which we will no doubt lose.

I'm kinda with the club on this one, if its true we've bid 6.8m then as far as I'm concerned that's more than fair on the back of 1 good performance. I see Kuhn is getting let go from Como, just saying🤔.

I only watched the last 10 mins of the Argentina v Egypt game but from the previous games with Egypt I watched I never even noticed the player.

Salah and Marmoush didn’t do much either but the midfielder Ashom if that’s his name that scored a header in one of the games seemed a bit decent.

The fact is that any scout worth their wage will know everything about the target player and will include the potential for them to be picked to be in the squad of a world cup. If the Club are serious about signing them an approach should have been made weeks ago.
To then wait until a player is in the biggest shop window on the planet and still expect to get him on the chump change we offer is extremely bad business.

With two and a bit weeks to go before kick offs we've not got anywhere.

Celtic hierarchy are and absolute mess.

Every other clubs done about five six signings we've only done one legit signing.

I don't know who posted it but the phrase 'The only team that will beat Celtic is Celtic' is so true and has been for a number of years.

I'm never concerned with what other teams do or who they buy. I'm only concerned about who pulls on the Celtic jersey. For the last number of years it's been all rather underwhelming, apart from the odd gem, and each season has a feeling of we are just doing enough.

Most fans agree that winning your league is the priority but having an extended European campaign is a necessity for a Club of our potential.

Let's see if the board/ hierarchy share our ambitions. I seriously hope so. 🤞🏼😊.

I think the last AGM farce proved that our Board are totally detached and in contempt of the support and share-holders, Therefor, their idea of progress and ambition is light years apart in ambition and objectives, Celtic have went from complacently standing still to a precarious period of downsizing, cutting corners and incompetence, that could cause serious decline and damage.

Tottenham are nearly a billion in debt so is Man U and Chelsea and Liverpool and nearly every team in that league just because they have cash reserves means nothing they use that so called cash to leverage high interest loans and it will eventually crumble because it isn’t sustainable.

I knew I had seen it on here North18Q.

Every year it's like groundhog day. We never seem to have the players in place at the start of the season for the Champions league qualifiers (something that i don't believe we should be playing in but that is a discussion for another time) It always feels like we are just waiting to see if we qualify instead of just building the team for the season 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Just an observation over the years. Unless we are comparing Mbappe type worldies, decent strikers who play at high speed approaching goal, tend to miss plenty. Going full pelt in on goal reduces accuracy and control. They will score their fair share certainly but also have plenty of fails.


I'm sure you can all think of plenty who fall into this category. Some I remember were Lennox, Chalmers, Brattbakk, Maeda, Tommy Johnson etc etc. Could be Kenny falls into this mould. There is a trade off between creating the chance by dint of your speed and finishing it.

Quite a bit of negativity on here last few days, and some of our own posters seem to be enjoying it (you know who you are)

We all know what our Board are like, now we have a
"pensioner using us as an ego trip"

The Scottish media is full of feel good Sevvie stories and they are loving it, because our Board are giving them the ammo

But this Tim has confidence in "our Pensioner manager" to get new players, and players to IMPROVE the team.
I am hoping that if, as looks likely, Maeda, Hatate, Engels etc all leave, Martin and our coaching staff will have ready made replacements to bring in. Even our captain Callum is replaceable

Our Board have an MO (a way of operating) they will SELL first, get cash in bank, then buy players, I am just hoping Martin can make them buy players ASAP.

I've been scouring the www to look for good news regarding our club. I failed miserably. However plenty negative (fairytales) about us. So it does appear as if good news is in the decline. Still fearfully optimistic!
