The story about nancy stopping training to show club legend james forrest how to receive a ball is cringworthy and ampadu was at it as well.
11 Jan 2026 12:13:20
It will interesting to actually hear players direct views and honest opinions on Nancy, with Forrest not long away from retirement we might not have to wait that long,
11 Jan 2026 08:34:47
I am pretty sure MON got assurances about transfers coming in or he wouldn't have come back, it's just when they will come in that's the issue.
11 Jan 2026 09:12:10
Need a striker before 25th at tynecastle.
11 Jan 2026 09:33:22
Marco it's the time they take to get deals over the line, you can imagine them haggling trying to get two Bob off the price rather than acting like a big club and getting it done, we shouldn't be fooled by yesterday there's tougher tests ahead especially away from home and good natural scorer is vital, c'mon stop fecking about and don't hang a legend out to dry.
11 Jan 2026 10:09:27
Wasn't BR made promises before he came back? And before the usual 'he wasted' blah blah blah, the money sat in the bank came partly from player sales that weren't subsequently replaced. A year and waiting to replace a striker .
11 Jan 2026 10:15:52
A lot of teams that are in Europe still won't want to sell there players untill there either into the next round or out, like us with kyogo last year, so that leaves us picking up players from smaller clubs which the fans will be in an uproar over or we wait and again the fans will be in uproar.
11 Jan 2026 10:52:33
January is never the best window, for obvious reasons. Combine that with the ineptitude of those, whoever they are, at Celtic tasked with getting deals over the line and it's groundhog day.
For me, should we sign a proven goalscorer, on loan or not, we'll retain the league. Should we not sign one then it's the toss of a coin between them and us.
Maeda, who's clearly not a striker, requires too many chances to put one away and hos best position is his natural position, on the wing. Kenny is nowhere near the level we require, not his fault, and Osmund is out injured long term.
Last seasons summer transfer shambles is coming back to bite us.
11 Jan 2026 12:13:55
@Pedro, how you doing mucker, rained in over there?
I agree 100% there's plenty of proven strikers all over Europe who are warming benches, we can surely get a high level one in and bite the bullet on wages until the end of the season. We can't let finances keep us from having a chance at pulling this title out of the fire.
11 Jan 2026 12:38:48
Yeah BR was made promises, but Desmond respects and values MON, he won't want to lose him as a friend either, so I think MON will get what he wants, it's just when. Everyone can see we need a proven CF. So let's wait and see but it shouldn't be too much longer I hope.
11 Jan 2026 12:45:24
Fans seem to think every player is just waiting to drop everything to join Celtic.
11 Jan 2026 07:32:10
If nancy watched that yesterday, for his own sake going forward as a manager I Hooe he learned something from a proper manager who knows the game indide out.
11 Jan 2026 07:58:52
Nancy was an imposter and just done an interview upon leaving Celtic. During the interview he showed how clueless he was about being the manager of Celtic, despite nearly signing for Carlisle UTD.
I am still in shock at how much damage him and the board managed to do. Luckily one of them is gone but we need to remove the others as well if we want to see harmony restored and our club being ran properly.
11 Jan 2026 10:21:10
Nancy gave me my best Christmas present when he got sacked with Tisdale, av even heard players and journalists saying they feel sorry for him, f… them and the other members of the board who employed them, he walked away with approx £2m and might have cost us the league.
11 Jan 2026 06:52:50
Good performance wingers played well. Just one thing thought new boy was lucky only to get a yellow in today's climate was waiting for VAR and red obviously needs game time.
11 Jan 2026 12:42:31
If a red card was given today for that foul. What about the elbow in the face from the Sevco player, that should have been a straight red all day. But the press come out and cover it up the same as the refs. I remember big simoanvic did it to a sevco player and was sent off, what's the difference.
10 Jan 2026 21:01:01
Yes, I know he was offside (just) but, Kenny missed another chance one on one. It wasn't dwelt on because we were ahead, but it could have been a decider, and once again he failed. Someone suggested we use his speed on the wing. Worth a try?
{Ed007's Note - How many sitters did Maeda miss when it was really a deciding goal? If we're pulling up players for missing sitters let's be fair - we knew Kenny wasn't good enough to be 1st choice and he's obviously lacking in confidence but people said Maeda was ready made replacement for Kyogo as striker, how's that working out?
10 Jan 2026 23:13:08
There's no doubt that if our 1st and 2nd choice strikers hadn't been sold, or if we had two strikers with the required ability and experience, Kenny would be 3rd choice.
Neither Kyogo, sold last January, or Idah, sold last summer, have been replaced and I count Inheacho in that statement as he was a last minute panic buy by our inept board.
Kenny, in any other club the size of Celtic, would be learning his trade alongside seasoned pro's, but instead he's been thrown in as we have noone else available.
Maeda, who's best position is on the wing, needs 4 or 5 chances to score one, not ideal either but again, due to the shambles that was last summers transfer window, this is where we are.
10 Jan 2026 23:44:47
Confidence is a massive thing for any player and the bhoy is suffering badly, to be fair Maeda done well last yr as our main striker but his demeener ( hope right word) this year has been shocking, sulk sulk sulk. It was me that mentioned Kenny out in wing, watch him no1 catches him and he puts in great crosses.
11 Jan 2026 05:44:14
Have we really had a go at an incoming sub after winning 4-0… also after a horrendous few weeks? Come on man, give the bhoys man to man a wee bit of slack at least.
11 Jan 2026 08:31:05
Atleast Kenny is in the right place to get those chances, I think he is trying too hard or low in confidence. But I like Kenny movement in and around the box, if we had a proper striker who Kenny could learn from would be beneficial to Kenny and us. But Kenny does need help.
10 Jan 2026 21:21:53
I agree Ed007, never felt Daizen was CF material, even pretty average on the wing these days. Kenny was bought as a striker, but he is of no value if he is neither striking or creating.
10 Jan 2026 19:36:38
Note the reference "Player of the match " rather than the "man of the match ", in all honesty how's man of the match in discreet! Also is it a coincidence thst all sports presenters are women, like it's a consolation to feminists. 🤪.
10 Jan 2026 20:17:01
You ok mate?
10 Jan 2026 20:27:05
It was yang.
10 Jan 2026 20:33:50
Aye Gerry, I'm good thanks.
Your obviously a youngster as not so long ago the most preforming player in a given game was awarded a title "Man of the Match ", I'm just acknowledging the change to suit others " Player of the match ". 🤷🏻♂️.
10 Jan 2026 21:09:23
are you ok mate.
11 Jan 2026 09:14:38
Leeds a get what you mean mate.
11 Jan 2026 09:45:11
Leeds, it's nothing to do with feminism. How do we know what the winning player currently identifies as? They may identify as a man, woman, both, neither. They might change how they identify throughout the 90 minutes. How do we know they don't identify as a kitbag? There's some that haven't been identifying as players recently.
11 Jan 2026 10:58:24
Unless I am blind it's men's football so man of the match is the only wording necessary.
11 Jan 2026 11:14:17
It piss! s me of all this woke crap.
11 Jan 2026 12:10:17
The cries from the stand now from the crowd
"Person on"
"They them on"
At corners you need to Match up person to person
"Person mark their playmaker"
Pass me my blue hair dye.
10 Jan 2026 19:32:01
When you look back at the current selection of this board, the warnings were alaws there. The Tory infiltration leads to internal implosion… it's like this is the board wants in their financial return to their profitability to where we are now, then run.
10 Jan 2026 19:02:38
If MON and Shaun recover us and deliver the League it will be a remarkable achievement. From a slippery slope with BR to stabilisation from MON, to chaos with Nancy. Allied to a Board who dither to procure the players we need despite a clear threat which now exists from two of our opponents. An awful lot of hard work ahead.
10 Jan 2026 19:27:03
100% agree 4 leaf clover.
I posted on the live chat earlier, 12 points and a league cup that dilusional, arrogant french clown cost us.
Had MON stayed in the role we would have had the LC in the trophy cabinet and be clear at the top of the league.
I'd love for MON and SM to win us the league but we need a striker.
10 Jan 2026 21:04:17
Could the Holy Goalie get on the blower to Lewandowski and convince him to come on loan for the rest of the season, that would do.
10 Jan 2026 21:16:16
Target man would have had about 3 today.
10 Jan 2026 21:52:37
Would have lost less going into administration 😂.
10 Jan 2026 18:34:29
Maeda who av stuck up for many times is starting to annoy me, ok he doesn't need to run about mad if he scores but he gives the bad vibe of not wanting to be there, its a privilege to play for our club, he's not turning it on mb its frustation🤷🏽♂️as weejoe we all new WN wasn't right we new nvr had players for his system but board didn't, to not have a striker or 2 signed is shocking and the 1 we have Kenny am saying again play that boy on wing he has pace and can put in a dangerous cross.
10 Jan 2026 18:42:43
What Strikers so you fancy us going for?
10 Jan 2026 18:58:38
Couldn't care if he showed no emotion as long as he plays well.
10 Jan 2026 19:03:54
Totally agree and I thought I would never have a bad word to say about Maeda but enough is enough. He is clearly uninterested and frankly taking the pish. To think what we could have got for him (and even Hatate) at the end of last season. Nonetheless, I would let go, as we need players that want to be here and improve the team.
10 Jan 2026 19:18:41
A don't think he is playing well tho mate, dtrikers a would like is Adam Armstrong. Evan Ferguson (loan) don't think that's to far out our budget.
10 Jan 2026 19:52:30
I was looking at Adam Armstrong earlier, bit pricey maybe!
10 Jan 2026 20:27:40
Can't see the Brighton/ hearts guy letting ferguson come here and possibly scoring the goals that win us the league.
{Ed007's Note - That could depend on who Bloom and his £600m+ annual profit betting syndicate have money on.... 😊🤔😋
10 Jan 2026 22:08:40
Meada isn't a striker, clearly doesn't like the role and isn't happy on top, kudos to the guy tho he's done a job, and when needed out left hel be Daizen again, when he goes wish him well, tbh Celtic is his level he should stay here and work hard and be honest.
10 Jan 2026 23:45:44
Maeda didn't celebrate as the game was already over and it was goal number 4. In addition it was only from 5 feet out and my granny could have scored it. He showed much more emotion early on when his shot was well-saved. Give the guy a break.
11 Jan 2026 10:12:46
I watched him at the end of the game and he was sneezing, just wondering if he wasn't feeling 100%.
If Tounekti can keep up that level of performance it might be hard for Maeda to get back out on the left but that's the question, will he keep up that level.
Balikwisha needs to look at him and realise that's the level expected every game for Celtic.
I thought Luke looked sharp when he came on, if he could do that when he starts a game, he could push to be a regular starter.
Everyone looked more like the players we know they can be. Even KS didn't make a bad pass.
My main worry now is MN getting us the strikers we need. There have been absolutely no rumours about strikers, left wing and midfield yes but goal scorer no.
I know we need more positions supported but if we can get 2 quality strikers we can still win this league with the players we have.
We have players making their way back who will strengthen the squad.
11 Jan 2026 12:53:41
Maeda doesn't have the same level of skill as Tounetki.
11 Jan 2026 12:58:16
Daizen again out left? Like skying the ball into row z trying to cross it?
10 Jan 2026 17:49:13
Great result today and goes to show that we knew better than the board.
Nancy should never have been anywhere near the club and MON should have been left in place until the summer.
Let's hope these fuds we have in charge back Martin now.
10 Jan 2026 18:24:26
MON said there's lots of work being done to bring new faces in.
10 Jan 2026 18:36:02
Can't you just enjoy a comfortable victory
We know the faults of the board without mentioning them everyday.
10 Jan 2026 18:39:02
They have to Joe, we were very good today but we desperately need a striker and a rcb. Trusty did OK but when he is closed down quickly he panicks and plays a pass that puts his colleagues under pressure.
The space he is given and moves forward into, a more comfortable on the ball CB would pull the opposition defence out create an opportunity to make a defence splitting pass.
You never feel Trusty can do that.
Our wingers put in a shift today, Tounekti was unlucky to come off. When he did, their right back got more confident and closed Jamsie down when he received the ball, which he didn't to Tounekti.
Had we a Kyogo type striker they would have scored a few today with the chances created. Maeda scored but his first touch today wasn't great in first half, he looked out of sorts. Glad he got his goal though.
Yang put in a shift and a few times broke up their attacks with great runs back.
Engels covered every piece of grass today and deserved a goal.
What a difference a manager who knows what he is doing makes.
10 Jan 2026 18:59:50
We've got a RCB on loan in Germany, can we recall him?
10 Jan 2026 20:11:52
We should he's better than what we have. Never got his chance with BR being stubborn.
10 Jan 2026 21:20:17
Loys of work bringing new faces in?
Are the fecking board playing guess who?
10 Jan 2026 16:58:26
A tp manager playing a system that the players are comfortable in gets you clean sheets and a great performance, the players enjoyed that, welcome back ST Martin.
