Whatever happens in the next 2 weeks we will be miles behind where we ought to be. We have lost about 7 or 8 players from last season and signed 1. And last season we were 3 or 4 good players short! If I was Calmac, Maeda, Reo, Engles i'd be off at the 1st decent opportunity and publicly state why - Boards lack of investment in the team/ squad.

Mass boycott/ walk out tomorrow and every game until there is change at Board level. No idea how to remove DD tho, pretty impossible.

17 Jul 2026 18:07:25
Losing iheanacho doesn't bother me as has times gone on it was clear he was going elsewhere. if any player around our club from last season needed a full proper pre season it was iheanacho. that being said the way its played out for me is another embarrassing situation brought on by this board. this board, our likes to think he is owner publicly humiliated brendan rodgers for dare asking for better quality. and here wed a player in the door, with the option to extend a year, we let that expire then no doubt haggle at a vastly reduced wage offer iheanacho goes to a 2nd division turkish mob And this week we read how our CEO, Mr Mute says its easier to sign players who are free? Really.

if this facade continues till flag day I hope fans seriously boycott that game, embarrass those clowns unfurling a flag on live tv to an empty stadium. clearly the protests of last season, empty promises from Wison were just that. empty promises.

17 Jul 2026 20:35:05
Of course it’s easier to sign free players, they’re free because nobody else wants them!

17 Jul 2026 21:05:39
I'd be annoyed if we gave Iheanacho a 3 year deal.

17 Jul 2026 22:09:57
Iheanacho is getting 50k a week in Turkey. Good luck to him but more luck to the club that signed him as he is injury prone and blacks fitness.

Yes he scored goals for us but wasn't close to completing 90 minutes. If we had kept him, realistically how many games would we have got out of him over a season.

What is our fall back or do we have one, because he was the playwr MON wanted.

18 Jul 2026 02:13:29
Players like Iheanacho can do more to influence a game in 30 mins than a lot of players running about like headless chickens for 90 mins do.

18 Jul 2026 06:26:21
Aye it looks like it's easier to sign free transfers but not Celtic they've just lost 2 send they had them for a season.

18 Jul 2026 08:46:39
Stevie, would you really take him and pay him for 15 minutes a game rather than another young proven player who can give us 90 minutes and play every game.

Not for me, he was a luxury that we relied on last year, which should never have happened had this embarrassing club spent money in the last few windows.

I genuinely thank him for his goals but I cannot believe he is what we really needed for the next few seasons.

He may prove me wrong and get his fitness back, I hope he does, but that has been his issue for many years and a huge financial risk for us. m imo.

17 Jul 2026 17:48:29
So now kelechi has gone to turkey… a transfer that in the MN’s own words should have been easy… at this point it almost seems like self sabotage. if MoN doesn’t get a hold of this situation then for me he is as complicit as those clowns running the place.

I would never have sanctioned a 3 year deal for a player who has the fitness levels of kelechi but my god we had a years option already agreed…. it was the cheap option. I genuinely feel that things are going to turn out extremely ugly within the confines of the stadium.

17 Jul 2026 18:30:04
We're a shambles we chase him I to the middle of July and can't get it over rhe line, valuable time wasted head's should roll.

17 Jul 2026 18:45:52
I have no words, certainly none that Ed would be swapping out, for the contempt this board holds towards our loyal supporters. People who shell out thousands to follow Celtic every Season are being laughed at again by the hierarchy who are playing the very same cards they play with every single Season. Try to qualify for Europe with the existing squad. If we fail, we sell our best players and buy dross with the occasional gem. If we get through we make token attempts to strengthen, knowing they will not be CL level players. It's been going on for years and that's another reason why I gave up my ST.

I'm actually bored winning just about everything in Scotland. Last Season was exciting for one reason only, we had a challenge because we were so off the ball it was scary. It gave dross like Hearts the belief they actually had a chance. That last day was truly amazing but in reality should never have happened.
To have this much advantage in our domestic game and not look to go a higher level is just abysmally bad management and will just continue.
Absolutely fed up with it.

17 Jul 2026 17:39:41
Well not posted in a while because even I am sick of moaning lol so I have seen inaenacho sign with burisapor, I know fitness and injuries but offered a presence upfront. So has anyone got any rumours about a proper striker? Or just any deals close to? I like osmand but not ready to be our key striker.

17 Jul 2026 17:28:08
Wonder what MONs feelings regards “the owner” will be when his best players are sold from under him and not replaced?

17 Jul 2026 16:16:11
Kelechi Inaenacho turns us down for a move to Bursaspor.

Im not entirely bothered by it because I believe we should be shopping in a better market.

It just proves how inept this board is as signing a player, a player who had the option to stay for another season and also spoke of his wish to say.

We are a complete embarrassment and if anyone is to think this window will get any better than you are just as delulu as the board.

17 Jul 2026 16:20:44
I heard we offered him a performance based contract and he was not impressed.

Personally, I didn't want him as he spent too much time injured, same with saracchi. So in that respect I'm happy he went elsewhere.

17 Jul 2026 16:32:46
Bursaspor are a blast from the past who are now a 2nd Division club.
Alan McGregor and Kenny Miller played for them before they went down to the 3rd tier of Turkish football.

Before entering a Liquidation process,
Rangers FC only won 1 European match in 90 minutes from their last 25 European attempts and it was a 1-0 home victory against Bursaspor.

17 Jul 2026 16:38:14
We can’t even conclude out of contract deals.
MON wanted him and we couldn’t get it done.
Were a laughing stock.

17 Jul 2026 16:53:18
We're an absolute shambolic football club, I fully believe we have got to the stage that Clubs and agents want nothing to do with us when it comes to transfers as they know all about our penny pinching.

17 Jul 2026 17:07:31
You are forgetting we had an option to extend for a year as well but we let it expire so we didn't have to give him 30k a week; I'm assuming. So if we really wanted him, then we could have had him.

17 Jul 2026 18:03:15
Joe, I wasn't really bothered about Kelechi resigning because I gave the board an ounce of grace to believe they wouldn't piss about in this window with how bad last season went. Kelechi scored vital goals and turned up when we needed someone but this is just reeking of incompetence.

17 Jul 2026 12:02:34
I honestly thought we couldn’t get worse than last season in terms of recruiting. Bhoy was I wrong. What is seriously going on. Season starts in 2 weeks and we’ve brought 1 player in.

17 Jul 2026 12:11:08
Dont forget we got the ox as well. 🤣.

17 Jul 2026 12:51:52
Aye but ccv, AJ and osmand are back from injury that’s 3 new players
Add the OX, Balikwisha who barely played last season and the world cup boys coming back it’s like a whole new team
We’re just being greedy eh.

17 Jul 2026 14:15:36
It's not 3 new players. and were still 5/ 6 short.

17 Jul 2026 15:17:50
Another day and another batch of tumbleweed rolls over Celtic park. As far as signings go. Most people would learn from their mistakes from the past but not this shower in the Celtic board room I can't get my head around what they are thinking that they are doing the best for the club.

Each bay just makes me more upset with them. It's just a shame that we can't get a vote of no confidence for the entire board.

17 Jul 2026 15:52:40
Iheanacho supposedly going to Turkey. Nicholson needs removed asap.

17 Jul 2026 16:58:06
I feel a bit stupid to be honest. i renewed my ticket after my wife convinced me it couldn’t possibly be as bad going forward.

There were around eight games last season that I never even attended such was my apathy.

I mainly renewed to keep control of a seat I have had since the Fergus rebuild. I suspect it will be rented out for the season while I go do something else for enjoyment.

17 Jul 2026 11:21:52
If we are to believe the Irish forum that Nicholson more or less admitted he found it difficult to negotiate with players agents then this is now a classic ego thing, he is too big (pig) headed to admit he is out of his depth, either stand aside or allow someone who can negotiate to help him
Also the Celtic fans were delighted when MON signed on for another season as we thought he would look out for the fans interest, but going by his recent comments, he is just another YES man happy to pick up a salary
Come on Martin where is your pride? push DD and this Board to bring in players you want.

17 Jul 2026 15:22:35
Tim he has no charisma he must be a nightmare to negotiate with, the sly reporter Duncan who's not too bad summed us up to perfection and said everything we're saying live on sly, the words out mick you've been outed.

17 Jul 2026 08:15:56
This whole transfer window scenario is the same crap that plays out every window. it’s not good… I just cannot see how a professional outfit do not see the benefit of actually having a team built early to allow them time to gel… we scratch around last minute then spend weeks into the season trying to get fitness levels up and build a cohesive unit. surely to god you would think they would learn. In any other business those in charge would be replaced…The club have had the season ticket money, they no doubt made a mint on the merch, I just hope the ground is empty tomorrow but it won’t be… they know no matter what they do there will be those that turn up regardless.

whichever way you look at this it’s the fans who will get screwed, most of the players will be unaffected by how the season pans out because they ain’t fans. the board don’t give s**t… where does it end?
An unmitigated disaster in waiting is how this season looks likely to unfold. I have tried to convince myself that the club is always quiet in transfers and invariably we keep stuff from the media but the more soundbites I read from the manager and others the less faith I have that this is the case.

17 Jul 2026 13:05:29
Great post mate. It's imperative we come flying out the blocks as Sevco will get off to a much better start next season than they did last season. And with the fans anger at the board there will be a media frenzy to stir things up even more.

16 Jul 2026 19:45:16
Like most others I am concerned by some of MON comments re transfers and also that he rates Murray ahead of Narowcki. What is most concerning is he seems to support Nicolson and is publicly backing him which puts him firmly in the DD controlled category. For me it is abundantly clear Nicolson is the primary reason we fail window after window.

The Fans Collective and all supporters need to make a concerted effort against him alone until he can take it no more. Banners, TIFO's, chants, whatever it takes. Single him out then move onto others, divide and conquer.

16 Jul 2026 21:16:28
Not buying season tickets?

16 Jul 2026 21:24:03
Aye strange one
Murray is no where near good enough
Most fans want an upgrade on ccv, trusty and scales yet our manager is happy with Murray
At this rate we’ll take Gregg Taylor back on a loan and after preseason is finished we’ll sign
Iheanacho Who will be unfit and get injured within a couple of weeks
😭.

16 Jul 2026 22:24:04
Nawrocki was away on loan all last season. MON doesn't know him!

MON has seen Murray close up most of last season.

I'd say his comments are fair. Nawrocki must prove himself to MON.

16 Jul 2026 22:57:08
AP, Nawrocki had by all accounts a decent loan spell and team that finished 2nd in French league seem likely to buy him. Would they take Dane Murray based on his performances? No chance.

What i'm saying is he might not be great but for sure is better than Murray (who admittedly might improve) and can't bench worse than any of the others we have. He deserved a chance under MON imo.

16 Jul 2026 23:19:19
Just sell him get something back and move on.

16 Jul 2026 23:47:11
Murray has proved nothing, is he happy for him to sit on the bench because he wasn’t happy enough to play him in the run in, Welsh is better.

17 Jul 2026 06:20:26
Deep river bhoy, surely you aren't serious? Yes in an ideal world 50 odd thousand wouldbrefuse to buy and yes that should guarantee change, but we don't live in that ideal world. folk need to remember 1 thing here. people buy season tickets not to support Nicholson, Wison, Mckay or Deamond. they buy them for the love of Celtic and watching their team. folk in the main are never ever going to give up season tickets that for them is a way of life to likely never get them back. if you could guarantee folk giving them up to force change would get them back, exact seat then i'd say a good 80%plus season tickets holders would do it. let's remember 1 thing here though. why should fans make that type of sacrifice We're continually told these board members are Celtic men through and through.

well if that was true youd be doing everything in your power to do thee best job you can. for the past 8/ 10 months we've a CEO who's fell off the radar, simply cannot communicate which is surely part of his job, you've a temporary chairman's in Brian Wilson who talks the talk yet does nothing to back up his words, and we've still a majority shareholder who'd rather be anywhere else than inside Celtic park, can't be bothered to even attend a yearly AGM. this situation isn't on the fans nor should it be down to fans to sort. these clowns should do the right thing and read the bloody room.

17 Jul 2026 06:24:43
I think we trust mon and staff and prev manager and prev staff that he just won’t cut it, nawrocki isn’t against Murray, Murray knows he 4th of 4 in pecking order, nawrocki is wanting to be starting, hence mon saying has a hard future,

Nicholson is everyone’s concern, seems issue if there is one in getting deals done maybe there, mon might be seeing a guy work his socks off for club, but if he’s not up to it then things won’t happen, I’m one those people who as a fan and no knowledge of transfer workings put trust in these guys know what there doing, who am I to say otherwise, but I then would look at deals made elsewhere, Brugge Copenhagen etc those type of clubs and ask where are we in these markets where year after year (now) the cl lower clubs (our level) seem to be looking to bring in players our standard so to speak and be successful at it, no panic here, I’m cool with needing to move on nawrockis of this world so our staff can concentrate on who will contribute and bring people in to contribute.

17 Jul 2026 06:32:15
Tha last 3 managers didn't fancy nawrocki.

17 Jul 2026 07:54:53
There is a river and we are currently being sold down it. Again.

17 Jul 2026 08:29:15
We are looking at out of contract players. What a joke MN really is. We cannot compete with the PL and Championship but other European clubs with less money than us can and are better in the CL than us.

Sevco manage to get player from the Championship, although probably players no one else wants however there are markets around the world that our competitors search and find gems for little money compared to searching the championship in England where player prices are out of this world.

We understand we cannot buy young player like Elliot Anderson who was told for 120 m and doesn't score goals but there are players for 6-8m who will be just as good but you need to be willing to spend that money. MN has just admitted he isnt.

Elijah Just would fit in there somewhere and was a standout here last season and had a great WC so why are not fighting tooth and nail to get him or either the guy from Morherwell or the Hibs player.

It seems we don't want to pay a transfer fee, just a wage which is embarrassing considering the level of our wage structure. 6, 7 or 8 m players would be paid near the top of our wage structure, so what level of out of contract players does MN think we can afford.

Does MN think resigning the Ox, Scarrachi, Iheanacho and the Mexican lad will be taken as 4 new players by the fans and be seen as improving our team and squad.

He is incompetent and needs to be sacked or have the decency to leave.

17 Jul 2026 08:42:36
Mally, you stated, I quote, "Tha last 3 managers didn't fancy nawrocki". How do you work that out. It isn't fact, just opinion, and the reason being:

a. Rodgers bought him, but I don't think he got a chance (my opinion) . He was young, but when he did come on I thought he did OK. Like anyone, he needed game time to grow.
b. MON didn't know him as he was on loan.
c. Nancy didn't know him as he was on loan.

Recall what MON has said when he first encountered a certain Lubo Moravcik. How did that work out?

17 Jul 2026 08:51:40
Nicholson is not the issue as he just does what Dermot tells him. If you are looking for someone to blame, Desmond is your man.

17 Jul 2026 10:24:28
Weejoe, totally agree but we won't get rid of DD no meter what we think but might pressure them to get rid of MN.

17 Jul 2026 10:39:00
Sevco on brink of signings the Partizan captain for just under 5m and look like another signing coming in for just over 5m.

They can identify and sign players reasonably quickly, pay goid money, so how can MN and a successful club like Celtic not.

17 Jul 2026 14:18:47
Joe that’s not the case, Nicholson will have power to do so much, and it seems he’s struggling to do that.

17 Jul 2026 15:24:44
Rodgers looked at nawrocki for 2 seasons and didn't like him Nancy could have had him back on the 1st Jan and never and Martin must have been briefed on him and passed signing the Brentford boy on loan instead.

16 Jul 2026 18:12:09
So Nicholson saying it is difficult dealing with agants, well Michael how come you seem to have no problem when players are LEAVING latest being Nawrocki
You act with the speed of light then ya hypocrite.

16 Jul 2026 19:44:37
What is it about Nawroki that MON doesn't like. He seems to be good enough for Lens who want him, and who are in CL but yet he isn't a better option than CCV, Scales or Trusty.

Trusty is a bomb scare a lot of the time. Maybe if we change the way we play from possession to front foot, he might cope with just being a defender, and not have to play the ball out.

He maybe sees something in training that we don't.

16 Jul 2026 19:48:44
Odd that other clubs can do it but yet we are "world class" in everything we do. 🤔.

16 Jul 2026 21:27:04
Wee joe i wonder if it’s because other teams no exactly the players they want and no one at Celtic have a clue who we want.

17 Jul 2026 06:31:26
Bobo the links so far to players if true are all what we’d want, I’d suggest data driven, looks like we are trying to improve forward and wide areas with centre midfield being an area we will need players not need to improve,

Tbh until we see those leaving look to leave, I’m reserving judgement, what I mean by that is I believe lb cover will be found, I believe another cf will come in ( inheacho has been offered deal so this confirms intention) , there’s links to wide players, but in terms of calmac Nygren reo Engels, maeda it’s when these players go and who will take there place that judgement will be required, so will it be a current player ( as that’s not suitable) or have we been to market to replace, Duran looks like a Maeda replacement to me an not the cf we all wanted,

17 Jul 2026 07:28:11
Classic Celtic try to be more transparent to a selected few. Only to tell the world they're hopeless at transfers. To think MN gets paid £800,000 a year to oversee this shambles. We are not a serious football club. How some fans/ bloggers still give Celtic plc credit is baffling.
