Our Banter pages have recently had pros and cons regarding Jens Askou being Hoops new manager. Unless we are certain DD will bring in an elite Boss (very unlikely I feel) then it's 'take your pick' of some none too special candidates. Askou has potential and with Celtic's resources could be a winner. What's your thoughts now folks?

We are never going to get a top manager.

MON when he arrived was a coup.

BR when he arrived was a coup.

Now we either get lucky with Ange or get Nancy. Not one manager linked with the job has really won anything of merit.

We know our board are nothing but cheapskates so it all points towards Askou given the tremendous job he has done at Motherwell. A better job than McInnes given the difference in budget and squad size.

McGlynn would probably be in the mix as well.

I’ve read Martinez but this guy won’t be ready till later in July and that’s too late. Also imo he has disappointed in two massive roles with real quality players available.

Hibs next week is Massive, win that then we're in a strong position. Hertz have opportunity to bury the H*** next week and make it into a 2 horse race.
H*** win and we're clear at top of table with 3 to go.

Tbh I think had hibs kept 11 on the pitch, they would have won that game.

Baby sevco had no control of the game, they rushed everything and it looked like the pressure was getting to them, then hibs let them off the hook.

We just need to take care of ourselves.

Big games from now on. I would take a 0-1 next week against hibs and a draw at Tynecastle. Beating sevco will only give them a boost.

Celtic were the only team that could not afford to lose going into the split. Now Sevco also cannot afford to lose. Hearts are the only team that can afford to drop points at the moment.

I think sevco will put hearts in place next week, which if we win is what we need going into a must win derby,
Beat hibs, beat sevvies, ( I think hearts drop points at sevvies Motherwell and possibly Falkirk ) which will allow a draw away to well before last game, if we manage to win next 3 the last might be formality,

Both Celtic and Sevco have only kept one clean sheet each in their last 10 League games and both were 1-0 victories against St. Mirren.
Celtic have conceded 13 goals in those games and Sevco have conceded a huge 17 goals in those 10 matches.

My god how much help do baby sevco need to win games.

I can't see hibs managing to hold out for next 25 minutes but hopefully once they lose one goal, they don't collapse and lose a handful.

No that I would take anything as gospel that Hugh Keevins says on SB but he said he heard that Motherwell manager wants the Celtic job, he's spoken to people in the game.

Course he'd want the Celtic job who on the SPFL wouldn't.

But he agreed why else would he be at Celtic Park. His fellow pundits did say he was there scouting along side David Gray.

Great seeing aj back, great seeing tonetki on right and contributing something from there, will Aj alongside him help him ( I think it could, think kt struggled with him on left )

Weird we aren’t seeing any of reo, prob best player in league, only few weeks ago he hauled us back into game at Ibrox, seems reo is 3rd choice cm sub which makes him 6 th choice, a few games ago i thought Daizen checked out but he seems to have found the grit to do his bit for remainder, I really think we could get same from reo,

That's my point on nygren offers little unless he scores I'd play hatate, the composure of aj is clear really intelligent fb good to have him back, abd maeda has his mojo back thankfully.

Performances irrelevant at this stage, do not care if Falkirk played well etc or had chances game finished and we collected 3 points, easter road always tough ground for us to go as will fir park i think both away games will be tougher than both our remaining home games.

Manager rumours are rife just hope that there not waiting for someone at world cup which would mean a late start, Clarke or martinez. Mckenna for me break the bank and get him in.
