Looks like MONs first signing will be in soon, Jocelin Ta Bi.
Not much to go from in terms of his experience, looks quick and is left footed, hopefully can do a job for us if he comes in.
This player has been rumoured for a while so presume its the previous regime that's sourced the player.
09 Jan 2026 21:10:47
Isn't he injured?
09 Jan 2026 21:35:40
He's missed his last 3 games through injury.
This is a proper project signing because he's only played about 20 games in his professional career.
Ta Bi will be 21 next month.

Just read an interesting story from Stephen McGowan.
Obviously stories are coming out about life under WN.
McGowan said he was at a warming up session 15 minutes before a game, something that hadn't allowed done before.
At one point WN stopped the activity to lecture Jamsie in how to position his body when he received the ball. It was a put down in front of all the other squad players.
Not only is Jamsie one of the most experienced players at the club, an ex international who has played in the CL and won more trophies than anyone else, he is one of the players, younger players will look up to.
Apparently WNs assistant regularly did the same to other senior players, as if stamping their authority.
Also Stevie Woods, who has been our goalkeeping coach for 18 years, had to prove himself to a Manager with virtually no experience.
There were regular disagreements and rumours Stevie was leaving on a weekly basis, which backs up the look on his face in the dugout when WN did, or as the case was, didn't make a decision or a change that was needed.
Treating our experienced players and staff like that, causes resentment and makes for a difficult working environment, is it any wonder our players looked unhappy and lost.
Martin will respect our senior players and coaches but they will still know who is boss, and that is down to experience, knowledge and proper man management.

I would be sceptical of what you read as it seems like an exercise in transferring blame away from the board and onto tisdale and Nancy. That is not to say there is no truth in it but it should be pointed out that it was the board who hired Tisdale and Nancy.
09 Jan 2026 20:26:35
If that's true maeda jamsie should have told him were to go what's Nancy ever won as player.
09 Jan 2026 20:40:26
A don't get the big deal with Stevie Woods as for me GK has been 1 of our weakest positions for many a yr, ok Schmeical n edp big Joe wer excellent but they nvr got btr under him.
evn Scot Bain seems to have got btr when he left, just feel the game has changed so much are were not with staff, evn MON has admitted he leaves it mostly to SM.
09 Jan 2026 20:57:10
Joe not everything is about the board, take a break fella.
I know and everyone on here knows your stance towards them but every person in the media isn't doing their best to put out the narrative that the manager and Tisdale were to blame for everything and the board are great.
Luke McGowan basically said there was no communication from the Manager to the team about tactics, how the opposition play and what to do on the field.
Stephen McGowan doesn't even mention Tisdale or the board, he is reporting things that happened in his presence.
09 Jan 2026 21:36:01
So where do you think mcgowan got all those stories from Maeda? Don't you find it odd that he released so many stories at the same time and they only pointed out negative stories about this pair and no one else?
09 Jan 2026 22:09:59
Looking at WNs record at previous record at clubs he managed, I wonder if he was a DEI appointment, because how else did he get the job at Parkhead.
10 Jan 2026 01:12:41
Its McCowan lads🤭.
10 Jan 2026 08:15:08
Stevie I was referring to the journalist responsible for the stories and his name is stephen mcgowan. I was not talking about Luke mccowan.
09 Jan 2026 18:44:39
Is our 2 new rubbish hot wingers back from national duty and available for tomorrow.
09 Jan 2026 19:34:41
Yes I would think so Bobo.
10 Jan 2026 17:54:27
I was delighted one of the two got no game time and the other played his best game and caused danger frequently - just needs to do this more often.
09 Jan 2026 16:55:58
Team for tomorrow
Sinasola new rb trusty scales kt calmac engles hatate only because martin was getting a shift out him maeda kenny no one else yang, but Schmeichel will get the nod I think.
09 Jan 2026 18:41:47
You won't be too far away with that.
09 Jan 2026 19:41:17
This is the team I think Martin will pick -
Schmeichel
Donovan, Trusty, Scales, KT
Engels, Calmac, Hatate
McCowan, Maeda, Yang.
That was his last lineup against Dundee with the exception of Saracchi who went off injured early for KT.
09 Jan 2026 20:42:24
Think Nygren might find a place in there esp at home.
09 Jan 2026 21:07:28
You would think so Troy with Nygren having 10 goals and 6 assists to his name this season.
That's about a goal/ assist for every 100 minutes he's played on the pitch for Celtic.
09 Jan 2026 17:23:57
I'm not the slightest bit bothered that kyogo won't be rejoining us as he thought he was better than us and couldn't wait to get away . Yes a few will state that he is a goalscorer well he hasn't done much since he left us . I would rather we went for someone who has abit of physicality about them something that we have been missing for a few seasons now.
I trust wee martin to get us the players we need like all transfers it takes abit of time but hopefully they are in sooner rather than later .
09 Jan 2026 18:06:06
Going back doesn't always work out for one reason or another; just ask Brendan Rodgers, Kieran Tierney and Jota. So, I am fine with Kyogo not returning as well, because people said he couldn't play in Rodgers system, but it turned out he didn't hit the heights with Rennes, or Birmingham either, Maybe because he's past his peak?
09 Jan 2026 18:51:12
Hail Hail to that.
09 Jan 2026 16:26:57
Kyogo a no go so let's get a striker in that will be our player and not a loan.
09 Jan 2026 17:41:19
Lets get a striker in that can score goals permanently, loan not bothered just put the ball in the net.
09 Jan 2026 17:47:25
What is keeping them Mally? Kyogo was doubtful from the outset. Our recruitment department is a disgrace. If we drop more points down to missed chances we can kiss the League goodbye. Their toe in the water, hesitant tight fisted approach reminds me of some of our recent team performances. Sideways and back, sideways and back then losing possession.
09 Jan 2026 16:05:28
I wonder if the board have a back up plan to kyogo?
09 Jan 2026 16:51:04
Lindon dykes.
09 Jan 2026 18:09:45
As long as it isn't Idah.
09 Jan 2026 18:12:23
Going by their 'method of recruitment' they will have a shortlist of - Idah, Oh, GG and Mikey Johnston.
09 Jan 2026 10:51:40
After watchinh the King on the overlap he was talking about getting crosses into the box. Its what all strikers want he said. So for me to win this league 1 of our strikers has to be a Lyndon Dykes type.
We constantly face a low block and we rarely put in the cross. this would worry the opposition and give us a chance at the end of those crosses .
09 Jan 2026 11:17:52
Brilliant watch even Keane looked in awe.
09 Jan 2026 11:48:37
Never ever is Dykes good enough. He is ponderously slow and his goalscoring record is not good enough.
People are moaning Kyogo may be coming back ( can't see it happening) but can you imagine the uproar if we sign him.
GG is twice the player but we don't seem to be interested testing the water there.
We need goalscorers who are mobile not big lumbering hammer throwers.
If we sign him, that is the level of player we want starting in CL if we make it, surely not.
09 Jan 2026 13:20:00
Lyndon dykes? Jez, get a grip.
09 Jan 2026 13:44:56
Type i said not him lol.
09 Jan 2026 14:12:48
Big and ponderous is that what you meant be cause that is his type.
09 Jan 2026 14:44:00
MON has confirmed highly unlikely Kyogo will return so let's hope we had many more irons in the fire other than him.
It cannot be that hard to get better than JK or Shin, who to be fair hasn't had many chances but has missed several opportunities in front of goal when presented.
It is hard to believe that MN thought it was a great idea to leave us so short of experience and ability in an area so important as goal scorer.
09 Jan 2026 15:15:57
Where can we watch the overlap?
09 Jan 2026 15:51:24
Youtube bhoy88.
09 Jan 2026 15:53:59
It was brilliant when The King was asked if Ronaldinho was best player he played with and he said Lubo probably was. He said he was right footed, or left footed, he could find you anywhere and scored goals.
I agree, watching Lubos highlights, what a player he was. Bought for sweetie money and getting to the end of his career but he was total class. Had magical feet, as good on one side as the other and could head a ball.
Pound for pound he was maybe our best value ever player.
09 Jan 2026 16:37:45
Cheers Dc.
09 Jan 2026 17:54:32
I remember my dad showing me on teletext we'd signed a 33 year old Slovakian from MSV Duisburg for £300,000. We both wondered who he was because we'd never heard of him. This is one of the reasons it staggers me when people just write players off because of their transfer fee or because they've never heard of him.
I can confirm Lubo Moravcik definitely wasn't a " project" player!
09 Jan 2026 20:24:23
Bhoy88,
the wee man was a baller, brought to Celtic offcourse by his fellow Slovakian, 'Dr. Jo' R. I. P.
I saw a highlight real of Lubo when he was playing at St. Etienne and his free kicks were off the charts insane.
Sublime.
09 Jan 2026 10:38:59
I think as a must bring in this window Would be a striker, centre back, holding midfielder, and a winger, with at least a left back on loan. And that for me would be minimal no excuses. I am not bothered about how much they cost as long as they are better than what we have and will do us a turn.
A lot of players but sadly that is where the board have got us to and I do blame the board for the situation we are in just now.
09 Jan 2026 11:58:04
I cannot see MN getting us many players and def not a sitting midfielder, as we have so many midfielders as it is.
This man seems to either be scared to spend money or as been told not to without moving on first and hasn't got a clue what he is supposed to be doing.
The Govan team are signing players, none I am worried about but they are supporting their manager.
At this time our club just seem to set managers up to fail.
MON deserves to be supported as best as we can afford but watch this space we will still be speaking about the Kyogo will he, won't he, till the window closes, taking our eyes off the fact no other business has been done.
The usual excuses about the January window will then be spouted and we will have to try and win the league with the players we have.
09 Jan 2026 15:16:37
A ST is priority now after we signed BI.
09 Jan 2026 10:12:13
Worse than watching paint dry or waiting on my pal Boaby to get his round in. What is keeping these people?
Must be plenty decent strikers keen to take good wages, play at a top stadium, and have team mates setup chance after chance for you. Get the finger out. Get the Cheque Book out.

Apparently ta bi has signed left footer who plays off the right.
09 Jan 2026 11:12:26
I always worried that they'd presume - Well, we got you MON back, problem solved! Our overall recruitment has been abysmal for most of the last few seasons and we have changed nothing in that Dept. Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney have been a very good team that have worked wonders previously with our limited squad, but they are not magicians and need the Board to bring in significant quality and not a quantity of more mediocrity and players past their best.
09 Jan 2026 11:32:45
Should have pulled the plug on the Jocelin Ta Bi transfer.
He does not look good enough, very lightweight and on the floor most of the time.
In the Balikwisha mould, only slightly better but not by much.
We know who scouted him so shoukd not have gone ahead with this one.
Hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt it.
