My son says Ntcham and Edouard are both away after the Rangers game, going together as a package to the same team. That's why we are after the Cluj striker.

1.) 30 Aug 2019 21:08:54
No chance mate bullsting.

2.) 30 Aug 2019 21:09:37
No chance!

3.) 30 Aug 2019 21:16:19

4.) 30 Aug 2019 21:16:25
Why would they play Sunday and risk serious injury If they were moving before Monday night?

5.) 30 Aug 2019 21:57:48
well as sunday is the 1st that would be after the window closes. so they would to be away on Sat thus missing the game on sunday, now that is just NOT going to happen .

{Ed007's Note - The Scottish window closes at midnight on Monday.}

6.) 30 Aug 2019 22:07:54
I know you’re not too bothered ED007 but do u think this latest signing will be our last?

{Ed007's Note - Nope.}

7.) 30 Aug 2019 22:12:36
oh : I stand corrected: My apologies thanks ed.
I thought it was Sunday night.

{Ed007's Note - It's because the 31st falls on the weekend it's kept open to let paperwork be processed etc during office hours.}

8.) 30 Aug 2019 22:26:43
Reports say Taylor bid failed would we go back for him?

{Ed007's Note - I don't know about any failed bids but I expect Taylor to be a Celtic player before the window closes. I said the same about John McGinn right enough....

9.) 30 Aug 2019 22:42:57
Well fingers crossed we get in the boy Taylor if that’s who we want and if pushing the boat out a CDM too.

10.) 30 Aug 2019 22:55:37
BBCs reports were that we signed this new Bhoy after having bid for Taylor rejected.

{Ed007's Note - So we're believing the BBC now?}

11.) 30 Aug 2019 23:09:32
No just passing on their reporting.

12.) 31 Aug 2019 00:45:17
So we sign a £16m winger on loan because we couldn't sign a £3m LB? Sorry not buying that.

13.) 31 Aug 2019 08:46:39
Could you ask his so where he's buying his drugs from. Sounds good stuff 🤯🤯🤯.

14.) 31 Aug 2019 10:23:00
Value for money

Taylor is not a 3 million pound player

Bids of 500k and 750k from clubs who want him outwith us indicate no one thinks he’s worth that

Killie got there first point if the season and a clean sheet after they dropped him or the kid on hamstring injury - so is that a coincidence.

15.) 31 Aug 2019 07:13:10
wont be to happy if Edouard goes ed007 is there any truth in this.

{Ed007's Note - The only place I've seen any mention of it is on Twitter so I doubt there's anything in it.}

16.) 31 Aug 2019 20:42:49
You all laughed when i said Edouard and Ntcham would go in this window. It now looks like Lazio are hovering. If Edouard suddenly gets an injury, before tomorrow's match, then you will all know he is going.

21 Aug 2019 22:10:48
After tonight's results, it looks like Rosenborg will be out and Olympiakos will go through. We now have a chance of a LB but the RB will stay with Olympiakos.

1.) 21 Aug 2019 22:28:09
Aye right.

2.) 21 Aug 2019 22:54:35
I'd be surprised if we would spend £4.5 Million on the right back given Elhamed has looked good. I'd expect a loan or young prospect to come in for that position with no more than £1.5M spent.

Same with the left back I'm expecting a loan player or a player around the £1.5M mark. Bolingoli was the big spend for that position.

3.) 21 Aug 2019 23:03:06
Did the RB tell you that?

24 Jun 2019 13:00:16
Is it true that Desmond, Bankier and Lawwell take 5 million out of the club every year, for commission on shares and salaries.
If so, they should sell up and move on to pastures new.

1.) 24 Jun 2019 13:41:47
Tbh muney goes somewhere because if wee make champions league wee spend the same reguardless.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 13:47:51
You want them to work for free like?
Shouldn't share holders get their dividends?

3.) 24 Jun 2019 14:07:57
The bats right the big cats need their share of the spoils but we should also have money being spent on new players which just doesn’t seem to be happening.

4.) 24 Jun 2019 14:14:49
Jesus, sjaldad surely you must have some kind of understanding of how businesses and shareholders work 😂.

5.) 24 Jun 2019 17:11:14
Sorry, fellas, but holding shares in a company is NOT work.

Its capital. To sacrifice everything else-growth, transfers, staff salaries (recently below the living wage) , season ticket prices and allocations, merch--to make sure the board take home a fat cut is avaricious at best and fetishistic "free market" exploitation at worst. It would absolutely explain the asset-stripping.

6.) 24 Jun 2019 17:17:31
Investors not Celtic fans, investors need profit on their investments . Unfortunately that the way .

7.) 24 Jun 2019 17:20:07
This is the second time you have asked this question sj PL is on a salary and his bonus is nig indexed link to success / balance sheet, please be reassured that he could be better paid elsewhere in football I have no idea what DD takes but it will be bare minimum / remuneration if anything. Bankier has made his money but will be salaried again you are talking about the former governor of the bank or a post like that if money was his motivation he also would be elsewhere other than Celtic.

8.) 24 Jun 2019 20:42:28
Calvacanti I've witnessed some absolute howling statements on this forum, but this one takes the biscuit! So because Celtic are a football club, normal PLC operations do not apply?

You are oblivious to the fact that shareholders don't work. They have built their wealth on networking through business contacts. Contacts that will have assisted the growth of business side of club. This includes football contacts and most likely pipelines between our club and others will have been established through shareholders!

9.) 24 Jun 2019 22:29:33
Desmond is worth 2 billion Euros, that's 1.7 billion pounds. Why take the 2 million a year, just because he owns 30% of the club?
He owns a great toy and he doesn't seem to want to play with it.

10.) 24 Jun 2019 23:12:02
What do you mean he owns a toy? Where you getting the £2 million a year from? He owns 43% of the club ( I think )

Bankier is a non executive chairman and I doubt he takes six figures from the club but it might be.

11.) 24 Jun 2019 23:22:01
I had to look it up one report says it's 34.9% I thought it was more than that 👍.

12.) 25 Jun 2019 08:24:36
Philtim: what you call "normal plc operations" are precisely what I am questioning. Its not an original point at all, but an established rebuttal of Chicago-school economics on steroids. Thanks for the biscuit, and enjoy your neoliberal dystopia today.

24 May 2019 11:20:48
If Lennon is Manager then quite a few of the team will leave. Scott Sinclair probably away first.

1.) 24 May 2019 11:38:07
The guy that's been in the press talking about how much he loves it here and how happy he is that his contract was extended?

2.) 24 May 2019 12:26:38
Aye Kev, that'll be the same guy he is talking about lol HH.

3.) 24 May 2019 12:35:04
Absolute rubish.

4.) 24 May 2019 13:15:04
How have u come to that conclusion? Unreal rubbish.

5.) 24 May 2019 13:17:43
Sinclair from day 1 has openly spoke about how much he loves the club and he is here to win trophies. As much as some people are critical of him one thing for sure is he is one of the most geniune players in the game.

6.) 24 May 2019 13:25:08
I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to sell Sinclair this summer, he's 30 a year left on his contact and must be on good money and tbf he's never hit the height of his first season.

7.) 24 May 2019 15:12:19
He hasn't Tambow but he's still one of our better players.

8.) 24 May 2019 15:26:26
Brendan Rodgers was constantly gushing about how much he loves the club and wanted to win trophies. They all say that because it’s the right thing to say to the press. Every single player at Celtic will tell you they love it. Imagine the interview with say Rogic - “you thinking of leaving Tom? ”
“Not leaving no. I’ve got a contract here but I do hate the weather and the food but like I say I’ve got a contract so I need to stay”.

9.) 24 May 2019 18:55:50
Think Rogic had a crush on the physio. :D.

10.) 24 May 2019 19:14:01
Hasnt sinclair got 2 years left . pretty sure he added a 1 year extension on but still had a year left
Hail hail.

11.) 25 May 2019 08:13:41
I think Sinclair is on his way out, been cracking for us last few years but when we triggered the extra year I felt it was to sell. He has lost is imagination when it comes to going past the last line of defence lately but still scored plenty of goals. His Mrs is also back working in Manchester so might also suit him to be closer to his kids.

12.) 25 May 2019 11:58:06
Sinclair has scored 60 goals for us as a winger. Most strikers would give their left chuckie to score 20 goals a season when they weren't the main striker. People are going on about him leaving, but it will only happen if Lennon stays as manager.

13 Sep 2019 01:17:28
Sinclair back on the bench on Saturday. Looks like Lennon has had orders from on high.

1.) 13 Sep 2019 06:41:45
Or maybe Lennon has seen what he wants in sinclairs training form, attitude etc.
Maybe it’s injury to mickey Johnson
I don’t think anyone else picks or team.

2.) 13 Sep 2019 07:49:22
Why would it be orders on high.
Maybe they've sorted out whatever the problem between them was?

3.) 13 Sep 2019 10:34:17
I think It's good news for all concerned at Celtic.
Apart from the Cluj game/ result, we have been playing very well and scoring plenty of goals and arguably, we have a better squad now?
A fit and focused Scott Sinclair can only add to this and with us involved in four competitions as well as these pesky Internationals, it's another option in an already impressive attack.

4.) 13 Sep 2019 11:57:11
Absolutely OAB a reinvigorated Scotty Sinclair is a massive positive for us.

5.) 13 Sep 2019 14:02:04
Or maybe Lennon has realised Morgan is dug meat and Sinky is class, or maybe he has been reading these pages😂.

6.) 14 Sep 2019 08:23:34
More guff rumours with no substance.

07 Sep 2019 16:13:46
Forwards always sell for more than defenders, so i would expect at least £30 to £35 million for Edouard. He could even make the French Euro squad, which would increase his value.

04 Sep 2019 15:28:05
Frimpong has a 30% sell on clause for Man City and they say we have lost out in the future. If he sells for £20 million we get £14 million. All we need to then do is add a 30% sell on clause and we then recoup the money Man City would get, assuming he sells for £40 million.
Not impossible, when Dembele was being touted at £40 million and VVD sold for £75 million.
Overall, a great piece of business.

1.) 04 Sep 2019 15:47:23
30% is a massive sell on clause. Man city must think he's a player.

Why do Celtic fans obsess about selling players.

2.) 04 Sep 2019 16:00:59
Does o'connor have a sell on?

3.) 04 Sep 2019 16:24:02
No straight deal the man united fans are up in arms about this one tho anybody seen any of these boys play the good thing about these Are other young talents comeing through at these clubs knowing they’ll never get game time cab yous us as a platform to show what theyv got.

4.) 04 Sep 2019 16:24:47
We have had some turnaround this window. Taylor, Elyounoussi, O'Conner, Connell, Frimpong, Jullien, Bauer, Forster, Mbombo, Afolabi, Burt, Hjelde, Oluwaemi and Elhamed. Yet still some are unhappy.

5.) 04 Sep 2019 16:41:56
Duff and Phelps yes o'connor. Manutd is my English team. he's a very good player. Will be surprised if he doesn't feature before xmas, and fully expect him to be pushing for first team within the year. Really excited about him. The man city lad I have no clue on though. But I think it's a great sign that we are thinking g about the future. Better than that lot across the city, they don't think 5 minutes in to the future.

6.) 04 Sep 2019 16:44:40
Pud some fans are just unrealistic. Will never please everyone.

7.) 04 Sep 2019 16:57:40
Just nurture him the way we did ajer mate whell not go far wrong!

8.) 04 Sep 2019 17:02:31
Cory according to them the futures bright the futures orange over there 😂😂 I wrote on our sevco page about gerrard testing his best players in the league to focus on the europa because it’s better financially according to rangers noise 😂😂.

9.) 04 Sep 2019 17:22:12
That's not inaccurate tbf but we have strength in depth so we don't have to make that choice. 1 or 2 players get injured for them and it's all over.

10.) 04 Sep 2019 17:45:46
Does it matter if these boys have a 20-30% Sell on clause, if we bought then for something like £2m each and sell them for £10m+ We still get a good profit, but hopefully both are in the first team for the next 4 or 5 years.

11.) 04 Sep 2019 19:09:09
We paid nothing or close enough for Frimpong so 30% add on if he goes doesn't bother me in the slightest as any fee (minus wages) would be pure profit. Although I echo the sentiment that our fans having players sold as soon as they're in the door is becoming tiresome.

31 Aug 2019 11:44:02
As an aside to all the speculation, did you know that Lukaku's mother, is the sister of Bolingoli's father.

1.) 31 Aug 2019 12:16:04
It was reported they were cousins when he signed.

2.) 31 Aug 2019 12:16:05
That’ll be why they are cousinsthen?

3.) 31 Aug 2019 12:24:31
It was mentioned when he signed that Boli and Lukaku were cousins.

4.) 31 Aug 2019 13:06:54
Only 1 gets the privilege of pulling on the Hoops.

28 Aug 2019 18:41:35
Am i a "loan" in wishing we had signed a RB on a permanent deal. Loanees are not what we want. The whole rigmarole will start again next July, if we don't sign him permanently.

1.) 28 Aug 2019 18:45:22
We have an option to buy.

2.) 28 Aug 2019 18:49:35
A loan gives you a chance to see if they are upto the job, if only Comper, or whatever his name was had been a loan.

3.) 28 Aug 2019 19:14:20
I don't like loans either as it can just paper-over a problem; however, when we leave things this late, it's often inevitable we go down this road (yet again) . Although, the option-to-buy does make a difference and I would hope the player shows enough to prove his worth, show us what he can do and get a deal.

4.) 28 Aug 2019 19:27:04
Can't get a game for Stoke, enough said.

5.) 28 Aug 2019 19:43:05
Good player, fell out with the coach. So saying a little bit more sometimes helps greengenie.

6.) 28 Aug 2019 19:46:10
Think of it more as a try before you buy.

7.) 28 Aug 2019 19:48:13
Green genie, have ye ever thought about motivational speaking?

8.) 28 Aug 2019 19:50:47
Stoke city fans seem disappointed that he's left. Fell out with manager and dropped.

9.) 28 Aug 2019 19:56:48
An option to buy makes a loan signing worth while👍.

10.) 28 Aug 2019 20:47:30
Greengenie is just another one who judges a book by its cover with giving it a proper read.
If he had he'd have found out the stoke fans ain't happy this boy ain't getting a game and several are calling him their best fullback.
Hed have found out that this lad isn't getting a game because of a personal issue between him and the manager. Much like Sinclair in fact.
But enough said.

{Ed007's Note - I never understood that "Don't judge a book by its cover" saying, obviously the guy never bought scud books.}

11.) 28 Aug 2019 22:05:20
@Ed007 😂😂😂😂.

{Ed007's Note - 😉

12.) 28 Aug 2019 23:57:45
If the measure of a players ability was his ability to get a game many of the greats would never amounted to anything. Many decent and even very good players at some point have been seen as surplus, give the bhoy a chance! He is willing to come and fight for the position that speaks volumes for me.

13.) 29 Aug 2019 12:25:07
Scud books ah that takes me back to when my phone wasn't sticky.

14.) 29 Aug 2019 13:00:52
😊😊😊 But I'm so old I still call them " tod" books.

If Sinclair goes to Sunderland, then he desperate or mad.
He should sit and take his Celtic salary, as he has been shafted something rotten.

IrishBhoy88, We can all blame Lennon for playing Johnson and having Morgan as a sub and not picking Sinclair yet again. 18 or 19 weeks to go until the New Year transfer window, equals over £500k in wages wasted by not playing him.

Elyounusi is a player we will never buy. He cost Southampton £16 million in July 2018. More money wasted, unless Southampton are paying most of his wages.
