a No:10 role is better in a 4-2-3-1 formation where he sits behind the main striker but Ange doesn't play that way, I see it as our 3 midfielders are very fluid in support of the defence and attack so I can't see where a No:10 would fit in.

I would be slightly surprised if both players were allowed to leave, without a small transfer fee being involved.

Aye it is a rumour oage, but dies thatvmean we can't discuss the likelihood of them happening? 99.999% of them turn out to be nothing more than a bud to give journos something to write. I want good players in, but also accept when it's a competition with richer clubs in better league's it is odds on they go there. The need to have a high profile manager is vital as players will come more readily, than if we had Lennedy of any of the others from here mentioned. If the lad in question is the real deal then we all want him and others of that Ilk, that doen't mean we see a name and think he's coming and that's the end of it. Who saud it, who else us in for him, how much will he cost, what will we pay are all factors and deserve to be heard.

EVERY player has his price not just for Celtic and depending on who comes in for the player might unsettle him for a move even though he might not have thought of it before. And I have said before IF he gets unsettled with the offer and the offer is a good deal for the club then we can't stop it or it will be harder to bring in quality players if they think they won't get a move that they want sadly in most cases loyalty to the one club is scarce more so if you are really good.

Rodgers would be stupid to go arsenal. McGregor will most likely leave at some point and Leicester is an obvious possibility. You don't need 'insider info' to know that. But I would be surprised if it's in January unless it's silly money or he kicks up a fuss. Which I doubt. Summer is a real possibility though.

I'd be amazed if Rodgers went to Arsenal so soon after being a rat at Celtic. He has Leicester playing very well and it's clear he's enjoying where he is. Mind you, he said he was happy here until he changed his mind lol.
The Gunners job won't appeal to too many decent quality managers at the minute and certainly not a manager with ambition which is what Rodgers says took him to Leicester in the first place. I think he'd do his credibility a lot of harm if he walked out on Leicester so soon even if he did make Arsenal into a top team again. HH.

International management is a whole lot different to club management. He would need to test himself at club level before he should ever be considered.
For what its worth i have a feeling the ipswich manager mckenna could be favourite to replace rodgers when he calls time, as long as he's not moved on to a top club by then.
He has shown his quality with back to back promotions with them, plays attractive football and is a celtic fan. Ticks all the boxes.

It has changed a lot since big Jack was Ireland ‘s Manager . If Ireland were at home on Wednesday Jack usually met team in the Hotel bar on Monday evening even if he didn’t know all their names . His only concern would be Paul McGrath who was often either late or missing .
Totally different nowadays players meet on their training ground and have their first training session shortly after they arrive .
UEFA and FIFA with their seeding systems help to get the top teams through to the final knockout stages . I can’t remember when England have had any difficulties ties on their way to the final stages .
G Southgate was appointed manager after a very poor spell in charge of Middlesboro and although he progressed England’s team a little further he never won anything, but he was well paid and was decorated with a sir .

@peterBoy - MONs team had monsters playing in that team - Mjallby, Bobo, Joos, Hartson, Sutton, Lennon, Lambert - and then there was the King. The weakness in that team was Bob the Builder. If we had a Boruc or Forster in that team we would have won the final. Now, we've currently got technical tacticians - the monsters would overrun any team put before them. Remember Blackburn and Liverpool were big deals then and we pumped them. Still, it would be a cracking game watching MONs against the current us.
