Apparently linked with Hamburger SV centre-back Stephan Ambrosius, free transfer in the summer, just broke into the Germany U21 set up.

Celtic linked to Ambrosius

1.) 20 Jan 2021 12:11:28
The cream rises to the top . al get ma coat 😅.

2.) 20 Jan 2021 12:56:48
I know 🙈 most activity I can find with legs.

I hope our recruitment has an absolute overhaul we need change ASAP.

Build for the future as well as the here and now and get the show back on the road.

3.) 20 Jan 2021 15:54:54
He’s signed a new deal with Hamburg.

4.) 20 Jan 2021 19:15:14
How many coats you mall😁😁.

5.) 20 Jan 2021 19:45:14
That's an old story. Slow news in terms of transfer rumours which Ed must be delighted with but with the way things have been the past few months he'd much prefer the transfer rumours 😂 Apparently Leeds are interested in the guy.

{Ed007's Note - He signed a contract extension like Spidey said. Pedro's saving the pennies to give Neil Francis Lennon a warchest to spend in the summer for next season after this year's football is cancelled in a few weeks. 😁

6.) 20 Jan 2021 22:11:03
You're usually a man in the know Ed I hope you've heard something about null and void 😂 But I hope the warchest isn't given to Neil Francis Lennon.

{Ed007's Note - Why not? You must know how I'm always defending Lennon 😁

7.) 20 Jan 2021 22:29:21
Your defense is morally wrong 😜.

{Ed007's Note - 😂😂 I got "morally unjustifiable" in a text message earlier.}

8.) 21 Jan 2021 03:25:23
We all can't be wrong eh 😉.

02 Sep 2019 18:07:28
Greg Taylor fee agreed.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 18:27:22
Sky and stv reporting it.

02 Aug 2019 11:01:13
Potential outgoings.
This summer window is making me nervous.
Simunovic to lille, Ajer to AC Milan, Tierney to Arsenal, Cal Mac to Leicester.
I know it's all rumours but anything is possible in football, and I hate the sound of these possibilites.

1.) 02 Aug 2019 18:20:30
Turner SMSM switching on the nerves and tension on Celtic fans, as they do every year .
SMSM spent most of the window, trying to get £30m for a couple of players for David King’s Rangers . They have failed miserly to raise money for Rangers2012 and they will equally fail with their aim to break - up Celtic ‘s team.

2.) 03 Aug 2019 12:08:24
Agreed Chris, Lennon even came out after the Ajer “interest” and dismissed it.
Anything to get those clicks for revenue though.

12 Jul 2019 09:48:16
This Israeli lad is not the answer, no where near, buying someone for the sake of it is bad business.
So many more options out there, yet it seems that we are entering a panic buy situation, we've had a good start to signings and releases, don't go backward already, we have until September to recruit the correct players, another CB, a RB, another RB on loan, and a decent CAM, along with a striker on loan.

Yes we need the RB position solved before more champions league qualifiers.
Get Ntcham and Rogic sold, and use that money to bolster the team, we would probably fill all required positions with the money generated from those two being sold, sell Ntcham (12m) and Rogic (8m) , 20m is enough to play with, and keep KT for pushing for 10IAR.

1.) 12 Jul 2019 11:04:36
Has he signed.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 11:14:36
I asked you on an earlier post but you didn't answer.
How often have you seen the big Israeli lad?
Also how do we sell ntcham and rogic if no one bids for them?

3.) 12 Jul 2019 11:59:11
I've not seen much of him but what I have seen of him he is average at best, bang average.
Asking price likely set too high for Ntcham, shouldn't be a problem offloading him, Rogic different, I'm sure plenty teams are aware of his injuries, Italy would be ideal for him, even swap for a great RB if possible.

4.) 12 Jul 2019 12:19:17
Why you getting your knickers in a twist if he's no even signed and al hazard a guess you've never seen him or if you did it was against us.

5.) 12 Jul 2019 12:24:46
Callum patterson in at right back and use him as your back up target man if we are chasing a game. Big physical player, has experience and won't break the bank.

The boy Cadden at Mwell also decent on the right.

Too many fans just get excited at exotic names and big price tags.

6.) 12 Jul 2019 12:33:53
Price set to high? Your having a laugh.
This is a player who has played I the Italian top league and our top league plus European experience.
Look at the money players with less than half the experience he has are going for. Even French ed cost 9 million.
15 million is a fair price for him.

7.) 12 Jul 2019 13:01:23
Paterson and cadden my god we're struggling now caddens a winger and Paterson is mince.

8.) 12 Jul 2019 13:31:13
Anybody with some common sense will see Paterson and cadden are bang average for teams far below our level, we're needing solid players who suit there positions not somebody who can just fill in, that's when mistakes will happen in high pressure games.
I think for a quality right back and another box to box midfielder if ntcham does go we would need to spend about 10-13m, I like rogic, he's probably the most technically gifted player we have but he can't last 90 minutes so I would probably keep him for certain games and bring somebody else in who will get up and down and link the play.

9.) 12 Jul 2019 13:38:45
I actually think Patterson is a decent player but does he not struggling with injuries quite often.

10.) 12 Jul 2019 13:50:21
He's no realky a rb last to. e a saw him with Cardiff he was playing up front and he's bang average.

11.) 12 Jul 2019 14:18:13
He was put up front because they had an injury crisis. He's been a left back for years and years.

12.) 12 Jul 2019 14:51:18
Kev83, who are you talking about when you said " played in Italian top league, our league"?

13.) 12 Jul 2019 15:11:23
Ntcham, wyllie67.

14.) 12 Jul 2019 15:20:08
We need a right back that can defend, Lustiq was past it, up against nippy wingers, he made Kent look like a world beater,

15.) 12 Jul 2019 15:34:47
Ntcham mate.

16.) 12 Jul 2019 15:56:16
Kev Paterson has never been a lb he was used up front by Cardiff the majority of the time and rb at hearts and even Scotland and imo he's average.

17.) 12 Jul 2019 16:28:55
Mally it was meant to say RB but phone changed it because I've been writing out LBs for ages.
He move to RB at hearts and has played most his games down there as one. He's also played CDM and CM for Cardiff.

18.) 12 Jul 2019 17:36:03
Cool, I thought it was someone were looking at signing, lol.

19.) 12 Jul 2019 18:11:59
Any one mentioned is pure speculation until he is through the door As much as I like to see speculation at this time of year I won't think of it more than that at this time.

20.) 12 Jul 2019 18:13:53
No probs nate.

21.) 12 Jul 2019 21:40:58
15m might be a fair price but if nobody is willing to the 15 id take 12, plus sell on fee, instead of him sulking and dragging his heels, use the cash get someone else in who wants to play at the club and impress.

22.) 12 Jul 2019 23:32:54
Would sell Ntcham if he's going to down tools like last season. The money from his sale could buy us a replacement as well as RBs and a CF with change if you go with the current rumours of Baldock £3m, Elhamed £1.6m, Sawyers £2.5m and plenty left over for CF.

23.) 13 Jul 2019 02:42:43
Well there's a first for everything, an expert on israeli football on this forum PMSL.

24.) 13 Jul 2019 11:31:38
with regards to selling Nitcham I think we have to wait until after he's spoken with the gaffer and if he is of the mindset which has been portrayed and its not just journalistic fantasy then I would get rid of him asap. I wouldn't even wait for someone to bid the clubs valuation as long as we make a profit I'd punt him. I certainly would not be in favour of holding on to him to we get what he's worth (he's no KT) as we would be paying good money for nothing. It would be like cutting of your d**k to spite your wife.

08 Jul 2019 12:47:52
Any news on the Liam Morrison situation?

1.) 08 Jul 2019 13:04:48
Thought he was staying then saw a thread yesterday he was off to Bayern.

Gérardo seoane Young Boys with a good victory over Bayern Leverkusen away from home, should definitely be looking at him.

{Ed007's Note - And we can all get Castro or Viva la Revolucion on our tops 👊 Neil Francis Lennon has set the precedent now that all Celtic manager in future shall be referred to with their full name in recognition of some bizarre kind of weirdness.}

14 Feb 2021 12:33:37
I seriously can't believe how poor Eddie has gotten, his touch is woeful, he turns constantly into trouble, loses the ball far too often, we'd be lucky to recoup the money for him at this rate

Ed not sure how sell on clause works but surely when you add a sell on clause do you request that the clause to be only implemented on any profit above the purchase fee or even if you sell at a loss you still then pay % sell on fee?

{Ed007's Note - It's a percentage of the profit mate. The only thing that will affect Edouard's fee is his contract situation, Celtic will still be asking for a "significant fee" probably in the £20 - £25 million bracket.}

1.) 14 Feb 2021 13:01:53
Do you really think someone will pay that? I just can't see it, last season yes no problem, however that was on the basis you expected him to carry on being prolific, but he looks average, and average in the spl doesn't attract money.

{Ed007's Note - Clubs still know what he is capable of and his potential. 17 goals in 28 games is still a decent record in a poor season.}

2.) 14 Feb 2021 13:19:42
7 goals in six games just not good enough from Edouard.

3.) 14 Feb 2021 13:19:56
I presume somebody on the side line told him about my comment and he pops two in 😂😂.

{Ed007's Note - WGS Jnr showed him it on his laptop lol. West Ham (Edouard doesn't fancy that) Leicester (obviously) and Arsenal (to replace Lacazette) are all tracking Edouard plus there will be interest in France, could he maybe replace Dembele at Lyon?}

4.) 14 Feb 2021 13:38:53
Imagine how bad we are going to be up top next season without him.

5.) 14 Feb 2021 14:01:09
I'd love to see somebody shell out £20m for him Ed but with him only having 12 months left and no end in sight with C.V., I'd be surprised unless there's a bidding war involving a few clubs. From a football point of view, I'd love to see him stay for his last year.

{Ed007's Note - It's because of his contract the price has dropped from £30 million. What's £25 million in Pub League terms?}

6.) 14 Feb 2021 14:04:45
He has 2 or 3 players on him every time. It's down to the people around him too to help create space for him. He's better with a strike partner up top the whole midfielder as striker doesn't work. Why not start Klimala up top with Eddy if Griff and Ajeti ain't fit enough for 90 then bring either on in the final 15-20.

7.) 14 Feb 2021 14:08:23
He looks like he's been coasting all season; but has now scored in seven games in a row and even though his style can be frustrating, we will need much better than Griff, Ajeti and Klimala to replace him.

8.) 14 Feb 2021 14:12:41
I can’t understand Celtic fans doubting Eddie. He is head and shoulders above any player in the league. He was injured at the start of the season and then had the C.V. issues. A few bad touches on a terrible pitch and trying to turn a player when 3 are around him in a packed midfield.
He is now getting up to full fitness and in some form.

9.) 14 Feb 2021 14:38:54
First player to score 20+ goals in 3 consecutive seasons since hooper. 20 goals in a season where he’s not on top form is incredible if someone pays 25m they’ll be getting a bargain.

10.) 14 Feb 2021 14:50:46
It probably would never happen but due to the fact that next seasons winners go straight into the champions league, would anyone like it if the club said we aren’t selling you and you could go on a free after the following season.
We probably won’t replace him with quality similar, I understand he may want to go but he would get a much bigger signing on fee . If his value is dropping to what some are saying, if he stayed and managed to win us the league back it would be money saved.
Or we could hire a top coach that may entice him to stay for another season .

11.) 14 Feb 2021 14:57:46
Klopp to Celtic 😂.

12.) 14 Feb 2021 15:42:05
Normally it would be a drop in the ocean Ed but when Liverpool are scraping around the bottom half of the Championship for players then you know times are tough lol.

{Ed007's Note - Liverpool's finances are a mess and it's nothing to do with Covid. The players they bought last summer was just more debt and they had no money to put upfront for a defender there in January, failure to qualify for the CL next season will cause major problems}

13.) 14 Feb 2021 16:54:58
Rumours are flying around that klopp has quit, the Liverpool fans aren’t happy with the American owners.

{Ed007's Note - They were happy enough when they were winning the league and the CL.}

21 Jan 2021 18:21:55
So Board are to make a decision end of next week.

1. No recruitment so I presume there will be no new arrivals. This would suggest to me NL will be gone after the transfer window, however the new manager will have to get a feel for the players available and what he needs moving forward.

2. No change on the board. This worries me as they are dinosaurs playing with the future of the club. Times change, business moves in different direction and fresh ideas need added to our plans for the future.

3. Nick Hammond to be replaced? This I hope as he clearly hasn't done any justice to keep his position, we need someone with much better credentials.

One thing remains and that simply is the direction of the club is going the wrong way.

16 Jan 2021 17:15:24
That game was absolutely torture to watch, no stamina, no creativity, just a bunch of lads looking like they want this season to be over, the coaching staff are clearly worse than I thought, imagine thinking we have just gained a great point to an inform Livingston, that is the shocking reality.
Every single cross into our box is an absolute closed eye affair, i've never seen our side so bad in my entire time as a Celtic fan.
I hope things change soon watching that is actually wasting my weekends with the kids!

25 Oct 2020 18:00:33
Sometimes change has to happen for the long term benefit of the club and today should be that day.

We have went backwards in our performances, players aren't all fully available but the remaining squad are more than capable of not only beating these teams but dominate them.

NL clearly isn't getting the best out of the lads and of this continues it could be a dreadful campaign, this is the campaign we have been waiting for.

If no action is taken im afraid the hierarchy need a shift also, as this is a clear issue needing resolved right now.

We have been lucky to amass the points we have this season with late goals and shocking performances so do us all a favour and get the change in now.

Eddie Howe for me, let him build the team up in his vision, we have to look at the future of the club not just this season.

No short term quick fix has been please.

1.) 25 Oct 2020 19:37:32
The sad truth is that Rodgers was stellar and raised the game all round. We're miles off that now. What to do? For me its not about bluster, which NL has in spades. I love the man. But what I want is someone like Ronnie, who can implement the changed that are so definitely required. I'd also be happy with WGS altho' that was the worst football I recall. . He seems in every interview that he wants the gig.

{Ed007's Note - It's disappointing that the overall standards seem to have dropped, Cav especially when they feel that far we're at the point of questioning players fitness and recovery from injuries. Things like training and sports science should have been maintained at the very least to the standards of the previous 2 managers.}

Well I'm sure it will cost the board more in season ticket sales, merchandise etc by keeping NL at the club, they are just making more fans angry, pay the man and get rid, he's the face of the demise, he is the one who will get the stick, the board won't they hide in the clouds counting their pots of gold, embarrassing, I honestly can't believe this is still dragging on.

Its terrible for the business model of the club as well as the football side.

Who would want to invest in a club that has no contingency strategies, no ambition for growth, its pathetic.

The club is becoming a mockery and it needs sorted now, not tomorrow!

Well said Ed, Klimala will never be a Celtic Player of he doesn't get a sniff, why not loan the lad out if he isn't good enough, makes no sense what so ever, players need confidence and that lads must be crumbling.

{Ed007's Note - We know Ajeti isn't fully fit but surely Klimala is fit enough to at least start the match to try and get us a lead then swap him at half-time for Ajeti or even A.N. Other with a rejig and then bring on Ajeti with 15-20 mins to go.}

Phillippe Clement Club Brugge
Gérardo Seoane Young Boys

Someone to bring new guidance and direction

I feel the obvious candidates just keep us in the same predicament, challenge domestically sacrifice Europe, struggle to attract decent talent.

The board should of done the decent thing and paid him off last month at the latest, making the lad look foolish, why would he resign? I wouldn't if I knew I could get a lump sum for being removed from my job, he stepped in when we needed him, so again I'm blaming the board, they shouldn't of let this continue.

The fact he is still in a job is embarrassing, however the board need to do 3 things very quickly

A) sell Eddy before his value drops to £50k, he has been an utter disappointment this season, hard for any manager when their main strikers form resembles that of a reserve player at best!
B) sack NL and draught in a short term replacement minimum, the players are not playing for the manager one single bit, that performance yesterday was so bad, I actually was watching it in disbelief!
C) send Duffy back now, he is absolutely 100% the worst CB I have seen at Celtic, the worst, I feel horrible saying it as the lad obviously is a Celtic fan, however so am I yet his performances have been woeful and I believe even as a striker in my youth I could've defended better than him, sorry Duffy lad get that loan contract ripped up and get away back to Brighton.
