Greg Taylor fee agreed.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 18:27:22
Sky and stv reporting it.

02 Aug 2019 11:01:13
Potential outgoings.
This summer window is making me nervous.
Simunovic to lille, Ajer to AC Milan, Tierney to Arsenal, Cal Mac to Leicester.
I know it's all rumours but anything is possible in football, and I hate the sound of these possibilites.

1.) 02 Aug 2019 18:20:30
Turner SMSM switching on the nerves and tension on Celtic fans, as they do every year .
SMSM spent most of the window, trying to get £30m for a couple of players for David King’s Rangers . They have failed miserly to raise money for Rangers2012 and they will equally fail with their aim to break - up Celtic ‘s team.

2.) 03 Aug 2019 12:08:24
Agreed Chris, Lennon even came out after the Ajer “interest” and dismissed it.
Anything to get those clicks for revenue though.

12 Jul 2019 09:48:16
This Israeli lad is not the answer, no where near, buying someone for the sake of it is bad business.
So many more options out there, yet it seems that we are entering a panic buy situation, we've had a good start to signings and releases, don't go backward already, we have until September to recruit the correct players, another CB, a RB, another RB on loan, and a decent CAM, along with a striker on loan.

Yes we need the RB position solved before more champions league qualifiers.
Get Ntcham and Rogic sold, and use that money to bolster the team, we would probably fill all required positions with the money generated from those two being sold, sell Ntcham (12m) and Rogic (8m) , 20m is enough to play with, and keep KT for pushing for 10IAR.

1.) 12 Jul 2019 11:04:36
Has he signed.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 11:14:36
I asked you on an earlier post but you didn't answer.
How often have you seen the big Israeli lad?
Also how do we sell ntcham and rogic if no one bids for them?

3.) 12 Jul 2019 11:59:11
I've not seen much of him but what I have seen of him he is average at best, bang average.
Asking price likely set too high for Ntcham, shouldn't be a problem offloading him, Rogic different, I'm sure plenty teams are aware of his injuries, Italy would be ideal for him, even swap for a great RB if possible.

4.) 12 Jul 2019 12:19:17
Why you getting your knickers in a twist if he's no even signed and al hazard a guess you've never seen him or if you did it was against us.

5.) 12 Jul 2019 12:24:46
Callum patterson in at right back and use him as your back up target man if we are chasing a game. Big physical player, has experience and won't break the bank.

The boy Cadden at Mwell also decent on the right.

Too many fans just get excited at exotic names and big price tags.

6.) 12 Jul 2019 12:33:53
Price set to high? Your having a laugh.
This is a player who has played I the Italian top league and our top league plus European experience.
Look at the money players with less than half the experience he has are going for. Even French ed cost 9 million.
15 million is a fair price for him.

7.) 12 Jul 2019 13:01:23
Paterson and cadden my god we're struggling now caddens a winger and Paterson is mince.

8.) 12 Jul 2019 13:31:13
Anybody with some common sense will see Paterson and cadden are bang average for teams far below our level, we're needing solid players who suit there positions not somebody who can just fill in, that's when mistakes will happen in high pressure games.
I think for a quality right back and another box to box midfielder if ntcham does go we would need to spend about 10-13m, I like rogic, he's probably the most technically gifted player we have but he can't last 90 minutes so I would probably keep him for certain games and bring somebody else in who will get up and down and link the play.

9.) 12 Jul 2019 13:38:45
I actually think Patterson is a decent player but does he not struggling with injuries quite often.

10.) 12 Jul 2019 13:50:21
He's no realky a rb last to. e a saw him with Cardiff he was playing up front and he's bang average.

11.) 12 Jul 2019 14:18:13
He was put up front because they had an injury crisis. He's been a left back for years and years.

12.) 12 Jul 2019 14:51:18
Kev83, who are you talking about when you said " played in Italian top league, our league"?

13.) 12 Jul 2019 15:11:23
Ntcham, wyllie67.

14.) 12 Jul 2019 15:20:08
We need a right back that can defend, Lustiq was past it, up against nippy wingers, he made Kent look like a world beater,

15.) 12 Jul 2019 15:34:47
Ntcham mate.

16.) 12 Jul 2019 15:56:16
Kev Paterson has never been a lb he was used up front by Cardiff the majority of the time and rb at hearts and even Scotland and imo he's average.

17.) 12 Jul 2019 16:28:55
Mally it was meant to say RB but phone changed it because I've been writing out LBs for ages.
He move to RB at hearts and has played most his games down there as one. He's also played CDM and CM for Cardiff.

18.) 12 Jul 2019 17:36:03
Cool, I thought it was someone were looking at signing, lol.

19.) 12 Jul 2019 18:11:59
Any one mentioned is pure speculation until he is through the door As much as I like to see speculation at this time of year I won't think of it more than that at this time.

20.) 12 Jul 2019 18:13:53
No probs nate.

21.) 12 Jul 2019 21:40:58
15m might be a fair price but if nobody is willing to the 15 id take 12, plus sell on fee, instead of him sulking and dragging his heels, use the cash get someone else in who wants to play at the club and impress.

22.) 12 Jul 2019 23:32:54
Would sell Ntcham if he's going to down tools like last season. The money from his sale could buy us a replacement as well as RBs and a CF with change if you go with the current rumours of Baldock £3m, Elhamed £1.6m, Sawyers £2.5m and plenty left over for CF.

23.) 13 Jul 2019 02:42:43
Well there's a first for everything, an expert on israeli football on this forum PMSL.

24.) 13 Jul 2019 11:31:38
with regards to selling Nitcham I think we have to wait until after he's spoken with the gaffer and if he is of the mindset which has been portrayed and its not just journalistic fantasy then I would get rid of him asap. I wouldn't even wait for someone to bid the clubs valuation as long as we make a profit I'd punt him. I certainly would not be in favour of holding on to him to we get what he's worth (he's no KT) as we would be paying good money for nothing. It would be like cutting of your d**k to spite your wife.

08 Jul 2019 12:47:52
Any news on the Liam Morrison situation?

1.) 08 Jul 2019 13:04:48
Thought he was staying then saw a thread yesterday he was off to Bayern.

16 Jan 2019 09:50:26
BR linked with Leicester.

1.) 16 Jan 2019 11:45:24
Can't see it but maybe will put a little pressure on lawwell to splash a bit but then again we can't compete with Leicester.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 12:39:02
Theres no way he would leave during season. Loves club too much to do that. Also I think this is bull as media are trying their hardest to unsettle us.

Yesterday I noticed Daily person transfer centre online opening paragraph put celtic and rangers in order "rangers and celtic". Rule of thumb with grammar is to list items in alphabetical order, but when its comes to old firm supporters tend to mention their club first. Also we are the champions so it would make sense to mention us first. Point I'm making is, this is what we are up against with media. Total biast attitude against us, will print any crap in hope it unsettles us. Really want this league title more than stopping them getting 10 in a row.

3.) 16 Jan 2019 14:55:59
It would be easier to list the clubs he hasn’t been linked with in the last couple of years.

If Ajer goes this summer and it's for anything near the reported fee mentioned, then what positions would we look at bolstering?
I like Ajer, he's adapted to a different position than his youth days and has handled it well.
All players make mistakes and he can be guilty of one or two, but for 20m that's great business for us, that's our model, and we should stick to it.
I hope Eddy plays this season, and if he continues then surely by 2021 he will be worth 40m!
I hope the board aren't tight fisted winning this next title isn't the end of our ambitions, we have the chance to build an even stronger more dominant team and should do all we can do ensure the recruitment is right and not gap fillers.

1.) 06 Jun 2020 15:38:33
For Celtic to get top dollar for Edouard, we would need to sell him now or convince him to sign a contract extension. With perhaps a £40 million selling clause in his new contract Turner.
If we wait and sell him next season, his value may drop because he wouldn’t have as long left on his contract.

2.) 06 Jun 2020 16:20:24
Think the priority should be getting eddy tied down on a longer contract.

3.) 06 Jun 2020 18:08:47
I’d prioritise a new deal for eddy, everyone knows he deserves to be top earner really in Scotland . by giving it to him long term we would means money out of it. If we are to sell Ajer I’d like all the revenue spent on new players. No matter what the Rangers are going to go all out this season to stop us getting the 10. We need to prepare that they are going to get a bit of quality in and we need to be prepared to match it.

{Ed007's Note - Didn't we hear all this for our 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th title about how TFIFC were going to splash cash on quality and push us all the way in the title race blah blah blah....

4.) 06 Jun 2020 19:16:58
The other lot have just pre-contract signed two youngsters - more hotheads.

03 Jun 2020 12:46:55
Just a quick question regarding the new kits and sports wear, the bhoys birthday is this month and he wants the new Celtic kit and tracksuit, am I right in saying the new merchandise won't be available until July?

1.) 03 Jun 2020 14:57:32
Think your right mate it’s july.

06 Mar 2020 11:38:18
Listening to talksport Jim and Martin talking about Rangers crisis, Martin says Rangers have suffered having to play qualifying rounds in Europa league, we've played 52 competitive matches to Rangers 51, get your facts right Martin, the **** have no excuse, especially not how many matches they've played.

1.) 06 Mar 2020 12:30:54
If you want to be a big club then you have to handle o lit of fixtures like the champs have done for years.

2.) 06 Mar 2020 13:18:41
See your first problem Turner was actually listening to talkrubbish and expecting anything other than exuses and sympathy for sevco! A bigger Celtic hating station u won’t find mate! Why any Celtic fan would choose to listen to that is beyond me! They’ve ran our fans players and club down for years! Couldn’t give a f**k about any of them!

3.) 06 Mar 2020 22:31:39
most of the other dross I don't bother with but I kind of like Hawksby and Jacobs banter
When I am in the car. otherswise I never listen.

10 Feb 2020 19:14:35
Question on progression for our fringe/ academy players.

I've seen on here the likes of Johnson getting stick for being too weak for the big games, which to be fair he can be at times, however my question is should we start loaning our younger players out earlier to see if they can develop and adapt to the physicality of the Scottish game quicker in order to progress in the first 11 at an earlier age?

Dembele is a prime example, I see why we would want to protect him, but I fear for many of our prospects that they will turn out to be like Phil foden, bags of potential but never get a real chance, and that shouldn't be the case as our prospects should be good enough to get a full season of football in the SPL at a lower league positioned team, and the vital minutes would surely help us going forward.

The development league isn't challenging enough for them and they don't get the experience required.

January was good for some youngsters going out on loan, but do you think we should be sending them out earlier? Some lads play development football and then get released without even showcasing there ability.

Many players aren't the best in training but shine in a match, and I think we have lost talent and may lose more in the future unless we get them sent out earlier.

1.) 10 Feb 2020 19:45:55
We have a fantastic group of young potential stars and they all can't be expected to hang around indefinitely biding their time - especially at a huge club that obviously buys plenty of players.
A footballers career is short enough and unless you have outrageous talent like Forrest, KT, Frimpong or even Eddy etc; In my opinion, they should be loaned out and monitored closely as part of their development, just like we did with Cal-Mac and Ajer.
I know it doesn't work all the time and the jury is still out on players like Ralston and Henderson for example, but it does help their career one way or another and there are several that could benefit from that experience and a realistic match-day routine.

{Ed007's Note - What do you think of the idea of us entering a B team into the lower leagues similar to what Spanish clubs do, OAB?}

2.) 10 Feb 2020 20:02:05
It done wonders for both Ajer and Christie. I'm surprised we don't do it more. Bayo and Shved could be doing with it.

3.) 10 Feb 2020 20:06:45
Well that is better than playing in a development league, however why not have a feeder team in the lower tier?

4.) 10 Feb 2020 20:40:57
I would love that Ed; as you know I'm an 'old timer' and that idea was banded about some time ago, where 'Celtic Colts' (and others) would enter the lower divisions but would not be eligible for cup tournaments, or promotion to the top league. I don't know why it was shot down in flames as it would help develop players, stop us losing potential talent and even boost attendances of smaller clubs = cash?

{Ed007's Note - It's a no brainer for me too mate. The only down point for me is that if we won the Championship - or any lower league for that matter - and were not allowed to be promoted it would take the gloss off the promoted team and devalue the competition in a way.}

5.) 10 Feb 2020 20:41:33
Limits to the number of loanees would be an issue. You'd think having a second set of premiership teams would be good for Scottish football but didn't clubs vote heavily against it recently?

6.) 10 Feb 2020 22:24:39
A Celtic Colt team would be ideal for developing the young players allow the team to go no higher than 1st division but wasn't this proposed and voted down?

7.) 10 Feb 2020 22:13:01
It's horses for courses. Some players are ready for first team action. Some still need coaching. And I'd like to think we have better coaching/ facilities than the teams they would be going on loan to anyway. Christie and Ajer had already played first team football. A Jong team is the perfect solution for me - getting coached off our staff and mixing with the first team whilst playing competetive football against men.

30 Oct 2019 18:11:49
The links for these games on Celtic TV still down unless outside the UK lads?

1.) 30 Oct 2019 19:18:09
He’s goal has been streaming but the Celtic tv links for the home games have been poor. Lots of refreshing required.

2.) 30 Oct 2019 19:19:15
Scratch that
He’s goal don’t have a link up for tonight’s game.

3.) 30 Oct 2019 20:19:29

I can't see nor want to believe that the Fletcher/ Taylor links are true.
In my eyes the club would be taking a backward step in signing either player, they just aren't the quality we are looking for, they have no sell on value either which isn't the mould we have been building on.
Also if these two were seriously what we had to replace Eddy if he left would cause an absolute uproar at the club.
So I'm going to ignore any links to these types of players and presume if we do sign them then its simply for them to work with our development team and be nowhere near our first team.
Now celtic let's get a CB lined up and let's crack on with the season.

Cedric Itten from St Gallen looks a decent player, 16 goals and 4 assists in the season, 1 year left on his contract and 23yr old, would probably get him for a reasonable price with 1 year left on his contract, been capped twice for Switzerland.

We need these sort of friendlies, playing strong sides should hopefully build a strong work ethic as we know we can destroy clubs in SPL on the attack, but its defending we need to get to grips with, and Boli should get a rude awakening from this run out, the balls in the air you use your head, what he was doing on that 2nd goal was pathetic.
On a positive note young Dembele is so good on the ball he has to get more game time this season he is ready, ability is unreal
Premier sports if anyone is struggling for a stream.

Agree his work rate is exceptional, james could also do a turn and start learning the wing back position, plenty of pace still, light weight but quick enough to help us in both CM and RWB, just a thought as he is one that's been great for us and I hope he sees out his career with Celtic.

28 Feb 2020 10:14:54
We need another CB in the summer, strong solid CB, I like the 3-5-2 formation, Julien and Ajer either side of someone rock solid would be ideal as both are prone to mistakes against big/ strong strikers.
Frimpong is the future the lad needs to be played RWB constantly, same with Taylor at LWB, both cracking players with a great future ahead.
CalMac and Christie in the middle with a Brown replacement. Defensive minded who can dictate play and has the legs to get about the pitch, I think Calmac turns into danger to often to be our CDM, going forward with the ball is his strength same with Christie, still a treble to play for this season, last night is done and dusted, learn and move on.
Hopefully Soro and Klimala get game time in the league to prove what they are about, start playing young Dembele as well, the future still looks good bhoys.

I'd try sign Nemecha and Adarabioyo from Man City, both the mould of player we are looking to bring in, both would add quality to the squad and both would have a sell on value.
Potentially a LB to challenge Taylor, get Boli out on loan to see if he improves before selling.

I think they have made 2 clever signings, they had to in order to compete with us, but your right about CB Ken, we need someone with quality in the door, Ponzo of Monaco or Adarabioyo of Man City, both great prospects with year left on contract, both would be great signings and would be available at decent prices, also Leo Ostigard at Brighton, get another Norway boy in the door, he has 1 year left on his contract as well.

But if we received 50m say for eddy we would be massively tight fisted not paying 9m on another player when we had just made 41m profit.

04 Aug 2020 14:35:53
If Godfrey is valued at 40m then Eddy is easily valued at 70m, absolute madness, the lads a good defender and has plenty of potential, however he has played 3 times for England U21 and he is same age as eddy, eddy has played double the games and scored 11 goals at u21 International level, so in my eyes he's easily valued at a much higher price.
I actually think we should accept nothing less than 40m, and I would try get eddy signed onto a new contract with that as a buy out figure, that way we know if he was sold it would be for the right price, a price we can't really knock back, then invest 6-9m on the next eddy and carry on the glasgow ajax model.

{Ed007's Note - Transfers don't work like that and neither do buy out clauses. If Peter Lawwell met his opposite number from a potential suitor and started quoting other players prices he'd be laughed out the room and do untold damage to the Club's reputation in the transfer market.
Would you be happy if we paid £9 million for say Turnbull because of the prices of players in England? Why should Celtic play hardball but Motherwell shouldn't?}

Talk of Croatian LB, surely Boli would be sold to cover the fee, talk of Boyle at 250k, that's cheap for a squad player and probably one that would fit into the team well when called upon, would seriously look at Itter as striking option, but im concerned about the CB position, Ajer and Julien both struggle in the air against strong physical players, few crosses from last match scared the rubbish out of me, so we need a solid CB to challenge and rotate with those two, things are looking promising, keep the young lads involved and we will have a right good season.
