Greg Taylor fee agreed.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 18:27:22
Sky and stv reporting it.

02 Aug 2019 11:01:13
Potential outgoings.
This summer window is making me nervous.
Simunovic to lille, Ajer to AC Milan, Tierney to Arsenal, Cal Mac to Leicester.
I know it's all rumours but anything is possible in football, and I hate the sound of these possibilites.

1.) 02 Aug 2019 18:20:30
Turner SMSM switching on the nerves and tension on Celtic fans, as they do every year .
SMSM spent most of the window, trying to get £30m for a couple of players for David King’s Rangers . They have failed miserly to raise money for Rangers2012 and they will equally fail with their aim to break - up Celtic ‘s team.

2.) 03 Aug 2019 12:08:24
Agreed Chris, Lennon even came out after the Ajer “interest” and dismissed it.
Anything to get those clicks for revenue though.

12 Jul 2019 09:48:16
This Israeli lad is not the answer, no where near, buying someone for the sake of it is bad business.
So many more options out there, yet it seems that we are entering a panic buy situation, we've had a good start to signings and releases, don't go backward already, we have until September to recruit the correct players, another CB, a RB, another RB on loan, and a decent CAM, along with a striker on loan.

Yes we need the RB position solved before more champions league qualifiers.
Get Ntcham and Rogic sold, and use that money to bolster the team, we would probably fill all required positions with the money generated from those two being sold, sell Ntcham (12m) and Rogic (8m) , 20m is enough to play with, and keep KT for pushing for 10IAR.

1.) 12 Jul 2019 11:04:36
Has he signed.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 11:14:36
I asked you on an earlier post but you didn't answer.
How often have you seen the big Israeli lad?
Also how do we sell ntcham and rogic if no one bids for them?

3.) 12 Jul 2019 11:59:11
I've not seen much of him but what I have seen of him he is average at best, bang average.
Asking price likely set too high for Ntcham, shouldn't be a problem offloading him, Rogic different, I'm sure plenty teams are aware of his injuries, Italy would be ideal for him, even swap for a great RB if possible.

4.) 12 Jul 2019 12:19:17
Why you getting your knickers in a twist if he's no even signed and al hazard a guess you've never seen him or if you did it was against us.

5.) 12 Jul 2019 12:24:46
Callum patterson in at right back and use him as your back up target man if we are chasing a game. Big physical player, has experience and won't break the bank.

The boy Cadden at Mwell also decent on the right.

Too many fans just get excited at exotic names and big price tags.

6.) 12 Jul 2019 12:33:53
Price set to high? Your having a laugh.
This is a player who has played I the Italian top league and our top league plus European experience.
Look at the money players with less than half the experience he has are going for. Even French ed cost 9 million.
15 million is a fair price for him.

7.) 12 Jul 2019 13:01:23
Paterson and cadden my god we're struggling now caddens a winger and Paterson is mince.

8.) 12 Jul 2019 13:31:13
Anybody with some common sense will see Paterson and cadden are bang average for teams far below our level, we're needing solid players who suit there positions not somebody who can just fill in, that's when mistakes will happen in high pressure games.
I think for a quality right back and another box to box midfielder if ntcham does go we would need to spend about 10-13m, I like rogic, he's probably the most technically gifted player we have but he can't last 90 minutes so I would probably keep him for certain games and bring somebody else in who will get up and down and link the play.

9.) 12 Jul 2019 13:38:45
I actually think Patterson is a decent player but does he not struggling with injuries quite often.

10.) 12 Jul 2019 13:50:21
He's no realky a rb last to. e a saw him with Cardiff he was playing up front and he's bang average.

11.) 12 Jul 2019 14:18:13
He was put up front because they had an injury crisis. He's been a left back for years and years.

12.) 12 Jul 2019 14:51:18
Kev83, who are you talking about when you said " played in Italian top league, our league"?

13.) 12 Jul 2019 15:11:23
Ntcham, wyllie67.

14.) 12 Jul 2019 15:20:08
We need a right back that can defend, Lustiq was past it, up against nippy wingers, he made Kent look like a world beater,

15.) 12 Jul 2019 15:34:47
Ntcham mate.

16.) 12 Jul 2019 15:56:16
Kev Paterson has never been a lb he was used up front by Cardiff the majority of the time and rb at hearts and even Scotland and imo he's average.

17.) 12 Jul 2019 16:28:55
Mally it was meant to say RB but phone changed it because I've been writing out LBs for ages.
He move to RB at hearts and has played most his games down there as one. He's also played CDM and CM for Cardiff.

18.) 12 Jul 2019 17:36:03
Cool, I thought it was someone were looking at signing, lol.

19.) 12 Jul 2019 18:11:59
Any one mentioned is pure speculation until he is through the door As much as I like to see speculation at this time of year I won't think of it more than that at this time.

20.) 12 Jul 2019 18:13:53
No probs nate.

21.) 12 Jul 2019 21:40:58
15m might be a fair price but if nobody is willing to the 15 id take 12, plus sell on fee, instead of him sulking and dragging his heels, use the cash get someone else in who wants to play at the club and impress.

22.) 12 Jul 2019 23:32:54
Would sell Ntcham if he's going to down tools like last season. The money from his sale could buy us a replacement as well as RBs and a CF with change if you go with the current rumours of Baldock £3m, Elhamed £1.6m, Sawyers £2.5m and plenty left over for CF.

23.) 13 Jul 2019 02:42:43
Well there's a first for everything, an expert on israeli football on this forum PMSL.

24.) 13 Jul 2019 11:31:38
with regards to selling Nitcham I think we have to wait until after he's spoken with the gaffer and if he is of the mindset which has been portrayed and its not just journalistic fantasy then I would get rid of him asap. I wouldn't even wait for someone to bid the clubs valuation as long as we make a profit I'd punt him. I certainly would not be in favour of holding on to him to we get what he's worth (he's no KT) as we would be paying good money for nothing. It would be like cutting of your d**k to spite your wife.

08 Jul 2019 12:47:52
Any news on the Liam Morrison situation?

1.) 08 Jul 2019 13:04:48
Thought he was staying then saw a thread yesterday he was off to Bayern.

16 Jan 2019 09:50:26
BR linked with Leicester.

1.) 16 Jan 2019 11:45:24
Can't see it but maybe will put a little pressure on lawwell to splash a bit but then again we can't compete with Leicester.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 12:39:02
Theres no way he would leave during season. Loves club too much to do that. Also I think this is bull as media are trying their hardest to unsettle us.

Yesterday I noticed Daily person transfer centre online opening paragraph put celtic and rangers in order "rangers and celtic". Rule of thumb with grammar is to list items in alphabetical order, but when its comes to old firm supporters tend to mention their club first. Also we are the champions so it would make sense to mention us first. Point I'm making is, this is what we are up against with media. Total biast attitude against us, will print any crap in hope it unsettles us. Really want this league title more than stopping them getting 10 in a row.

3.) 16 Jan 2019 14:55:59
It would be easier to list the clubs he hasn’t been linked with in the last couple of years.

Sometimes change has to happen for the long term benefit of the club and today should be that day.

We have went backwards in our performances, players aren't all fully available but the remaining squad are more than capable of not only beating these teams but dominate them.

NL clearly isn't getting the best out of the lads and of this continues it could be a dreadful campaign, this is the campaign we have been waiting for.

If no action is taken im afraid the hierarchy need a shift also, as this is a clear issue needing resolved right now.

We have been lucky to amass the points we have this season with late goals and shocking performances so do us all a favour and get the change in now.

Eddie Howe for me, let him build the team up in his vision, we have to look at the future of the club not just this season.

No short term quick fix has been please.

1.) 25 Oct 2020 19:37:32
The sad truth is that Rodgers was stellar and raised the game all round. We're miles off that now. What to do? For me its not about bluster, which NL has in spades. I love the man. But what I want is someone like Ronnie, who can implement the changed that are so definitely required. I'd also be happy with WGS altho' that was the worst football I recall. . He seems in every interview that he wants the gig.

{Ed007's Note - It's disappointing that the overall standards seem to have dropped, Cav especially when they feel that far we're at the point of questioning players fitness and recovery from injuries. Things like training and sports science should have been maintained at the very least to the standards of the previous 2 managers.}

27 Aug 2020 14:14:53
Get malang sarr on loan great defender.

27 Aug 2020 12:01:06
Eddie Howe in my eyes could be a guy that could come to the club and do a good job for us, we don't have world football superstar egos at the club and Eddie works brilliantly with younger players and developing them, he was unlucky with Bournemouth injury crisis but I feel he would be an excellent choice to bring in if the board feel NL isn't the right man, and he will have a better drawing power to bring players in.

1.) 27 Aug 2020 12:11:27
Also, very long term and a one club sorta man .

Not saying he is better than NL bir I think CFC with an Eddie Howe type could be interesting, I do think he is a Better fit in terms of a progressive, modern method approach and may help with recruitment.

2.) 27 Aug 2020 12:14:36
NL won't be replaced unless we lose the league or he walks at the end of the season.

3.) 27 Aug 2020 12:20:14
NL came in when BR left suddenly - steadied the ship and won the league. NL won the league last year and took us out of the group stages of the Europa League - we beat Lazio (one of the best teams in Series A) - home and away. Yes we lost last night - but you don't judge a manager on one game.

4.) 27 Aug 2020 12:22:08
I like lennon because he is a celtic man, the problem is the board and Hammond they are useless in terms of strengthening the team correctly, but we can't get rid of them and they won't give NL what he needs so maybe best to see NL go and bring a Howe character to the club.

5.) 27 Aug 2020 12:23:47
Big bubs don't be soft . NL will be out if we falter in septemevr . a draw and a defeat domestically or 2 draws and rumour of dressing room dissatisfaction will mean TAXI.

Failure in EL qualification and that will say out loud that NL can't ascent to a new level, nor guide players to new levels

If celtic want top dollar for players ( assets) they need to show improvement and commitment. NL has his work cut out and I'll back him for now.

6.) 27 Aug 2020 12:36:29
I hope we sell every single player that wants to leave and get in players that truly want to play for the badge and fans
The dressing room will never be a great place if players want to move on
I loved Armstrong as a player but when you know he wants to move he no longer will give 100% so needed to leave, and I can see that in a few players right now and it isn't needed at a great club like ours.
I accept players like edouard come in, develop, and inevitably move on, they aren't here for the long run, just to earn the club points then cash, simple.
We have a month in the market to get it right, otherwise this season could be outrageous.

7.) 27 Aug 2020 13:04:17
It used to be a foreign thing with 20 somethings giving us 18 months

Now its Christie s dad or ajer's agent or ntcham .

A youngster with 6 consecutive good games is lauded and wants to move

Its ridiculous

In the spfl, you won't get commitment . not now not ever . a great coach however does buy you a little more time.

8.) 27 Aug 2020 13:28:07
Bournemouth have been trying to get rid of Eddie Howe for 2 seasons, he controlled every aspected of the footballing side of the game, his scouts, his signings, his favorites. he spent a hundred and odd million on players who didn’t even make the bench. Do you think the Celtic board would have him within a million miles Of Celtic?
Wise up, shut up and get behind the manager and the team, there’s history to be made by Celtic FC.

9.) 27 Aug 2020 13:37:12
Your right about not judging him on one game. But to be tactically inept and blame the the players when he hadn't done his homework. The only person who is to blame for last night is lennon. He should hold his hands up and walk away before it gets too late.

10.) 27 Aug 2020 14:03:21
Malika Lennon you be quiet . you're a cheerleader and people like you make people like PL and NL think they're mavericks . your blind naive loyalty doesn't wash with me one wee bit . jog on . you are a danger

This is a site for discussion

I always support my team and want the best for them and for us .

You however need to take off your wee plastic green framed green tinted spectacles with tricolour flags left and right and make a contribution ( a decent defense of your hero Lenmon) or sprint on .

11.) 27 Aug 2020 16:18:47
Lubo there is no chance of us sacking a manager in September while going for 10.

06 Jun 2020 14:36:47
If Ajer goes this summer and it's for anything near the reported fee mentioned, then what positions would we look at bolstering?
I like Ajer, he's adapted to a different position than his youth days and has handled it well.
All players make mistakes and he can be guilty of one or two, but for 20m that's great business for us, that's our model, and we should stick to it.
I hope Eddy plays this season, and if he continues then surely by 2021 he will be worth 40m!
I hope the board aren't tight fisted winning this next title isn't the end of our ambitions, we have the chance to build an even stronger more dominant team and should do all we can do ensure the recruitment is right and not gap fillers.

1.) 06 Jun 2020 15:38:33
For Celtic to get top dollar for Edouard, we would need to sell him now or convince him to sign a contract extension. With perhaps a £40 million selling clause in his new contract Turner.
If we wait and sell him next season, his value may drop because he wouldn’t have as long left on his contract.

2.) 06 Jun 2020 16:20:24
Think the priority should be getting eddy tied down on a longer contract.

3.) 06 Jun 2020 18:08:47
I’d prioritise a new deal for eddy, everyone knows he deserves to be top earner really in Scotland . by giving it to him long term we would means money out of it. If we are to sell Ajer I’d like all the revenue spent on new players. No matter what the Rangers are going to go all out this season to stop us getting the 10. We need to prepare that they are going to get a bit of quality in and we need to be prepared to match it.

{Ed007's Note - Didn't we hear all this for our 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th title about how TFIFC were going to splash cash on quality and push us all the way in the title race blah blah blah....

4.) 06 Jun 2020 19:16:58
The other lot have just pre-contract signed two youngsters - more hotheads.

03 Jun 2020 12:46:55
Just a quick question regarding the new kits and sports wear, the bhoys birthday is this month and he wants the new Celtic kit and tracksuit, am I right in saying the new merchandise won't be available until July?

1.) 03 Jun 2020 14:57:32
Think your right mate it’s july.

Well said Ed, Klimala will never be a Celtic Player of he doesn't get a sniff, why not loan the lad out if he isn't good enough, makes no sense what so ever, players need confidence and that lads must be crumbling.

{Ed007's Note - We know Ajeti isn't fully fit but surely Klimala is fit enough to at least start the match to try and get us a lead then swap him at half-time for Ajeti or even A.N. Other with a rejig and then bring on Ajeti with 15-20 mins to go.}

Preliminary qualifying round: €230,000
First qualifying round: €280,000
Second qualifying round: €380,000
Third qualifying round: €480,000
Base fee group stage: €15,250,000
Group match victory: €2,700,000
Group match draw: €900,000

So we sell eddy we earn receive 30m and massively weaken our team
€17m for getting to group stage plus extra if we draw or win any games in the group stage, we could earn say €20m for a season of champions league, without eddy we would struggle to qualify, so really you would have to take €20m off the sale price which means we would be virtually selling him for what we bought him for, he must stay this season.

I can't see nor want to believe that the Fletcher/ Taylor links are true.
In my eyes the club would be taking a backward step in signing either player, they just aren't the quality we are looking for, they have no sell on value either which isn't the mould we have been building on.
Also if these two were seriously what we had to replace Eddy if he left would cause an absolute uproar at the club.
So I'm going to ignore any links to these types of players and presume if we do sign them then its simply for them to work with our development team and be nowhere near our first team.
Now celtic let's get a CB lined up and let's crack on with the season.

Cedric Itten from St Gallen looks a decent player, 16 goals and 4 assists in the season, 1 year left on his contract and 23yr old, would probably get him for a reasonable price with 1 year left on his contract, been capped twice for Switzerland.

We need these sort of friendlies, playing strong sides should hopefully build a strong work ethic as we know we can destroy clubs in SPL on the attack, but its defending we need to get to grips with, and Boli should get a rude awakening from this run out, the balls in the air you use your head, what he was doing on that 2nd goal was pathetic.
On a positive note young Dembele is so good on the ball he has to get more game time this season he is ready, ability is unreal
Premier sports if anyone is struggling for a stream.

Christ that would lead to a very trimmed squad and staff
Let's hope NL accepts defeat in the 3 5 2 system and cracks on with 4 3 3 instead

Barkas GK
Frimpong RB / El Hamed
Duffy CB
Julien CB
Laxalt LB
Ajer CDM
Cal Mac CM
Christie CM
Griffiths AML
Edouard CF
Forrest AMR

Keep the team playing attacking football and we will blow teams away
Turnbull is worth getting on the pitch for 20 minutes at a time and play domestic cups
Same with Ajeti and young Welsh
This season isn't over, it just simply hasn't started and to be fair we've picked up plenty domestic points that things can turn around easily when the team is fit and available
Looking forward to MJ coming back, People see him as light weight but think he has bags of quality and hopefully he comes back hungrier than ever.
Sell ntcham
Loan polish paddy
Give Taylor domestic Cup games
Nir Bitton can cover at the back and play domestic cup games
Soro to again to get game time or go on loan
Brown to cover Ajer and get the replacement bought in January

I'm not interested one bit in uefa Cup, not this season, the sooner Thursday is out the road the better and let's focus on scalping Aberdeen and growing the confidence.

Ajer is a cdm, he could and should of been aged there a long time ago, we've converted him to CB which hasn't worked according to plan, if you read carefully Miko you will realise that I never said ajer would be the replacement for Brown, only could've been playing there instead of Brown, the replacement should have been bought 2 year ago.
Laxalt did play well yesterday, never said anything about him playing poorly did i? I said we chose the cheap option of not purchasing a level up from Taylor, loan players are what they are, i wanted the club to sign a LB and they had plenty time to buy one, instead loan as per usual.
So miko I think the only thing tosh mate is your reading ability.
