Gijs Smal was linked with Rangers in the summer and a few German clubs he got injured and maybe too pricey at around 6 million, he is a more physical Barasic. Very technical and lovely crosser of the ball. Maybe a deal to be done now as he has 6 months left his contract.
Good player, we'd need to sign someone that can get on the end of his crosses and set pieces.

We play in Europe, just like at home, will be targeting our left. I’ve given up on a goalie and striker but we need a LB. I think even the happy clapper super fans would agree with that.

Reports saying Chelsea are trying to sign Frimpong before this window closes.
Celtic sold the player approx 18mths ago for around £11.5M, Leverkusen are apparently holding out for a minimum of £30M.
Could be a nice sell on fee for us.

According to some reports we're in 'ongoing dialogue' with Wolves with a view to signing Daniel Podence.
If we can get the deal for Palma over the line as well as Podence, it could really help our starting 11.
After that, a MF, LB and Striker - possibly an experienced CB on loan?

Not an accurate assessment going off YouTube but if they're anything to go by at least Luis Palma looks like he can cross a ball something Abada and Maeda are honking at. Only issue is no ones in the box to get on the end of them. Kyogo is playing too deep and isn't much of an aerial threat. Oriley put it on the money no end of times against St Johnstone and Kyogo didn't gamble.

5 years ago today we said farewell to Celtic Football Club's greatest ever captain, Billy McNeil.
A one club man, his achievements and accolades cemented his place in Celtic's rich history as both a player and as a manager.
The pinnacle being that he was the first British player to lift the European Cup along with his fellow Lisbon lions in 1967.

A wake up call if ever one was needed.
Regardless of the destination of both the League and SC thus season, there are too many inferior players in and around the first team squad at Celtic.
Yang and CalMac should never have started today. We've needed a first choice LB to replace Taylor for long enough and today, again, he showed us why.
Scales, where to start? Positional sense is abysmal, cost us two goals and frankly is a bombscare.
Of the current starting 11, I'd start 4 or 5 next season. A few would be benched and the rest need to be punted along with the dross that is the greater squad.
I fully understand the majority of players are contracted but there's no pont carrying players who will either never get near the first team OR those who are only in the first 11 because there's no one to challenge them.
We've got the cash with more on the way, the board should make a statement by backing the manager.
Today was a one off but against as poor an Aberdeen side as I've seen in decades, a bottom 6 team and despite leading twice in the game late on, we ended up dodging a bullet.

I must be watching a different Celtic team to the rest of you this season as I think we NEED at least SEVEN first team players that can walk straight into this abysmal starting 11 before a ball is kicked in anger next season.
That would include;-
* starting LB
* starting GK (plus a back up GK)
* x2 starting wingers
* a striker (plus a back up striker)
* starting CB (left footed to partner CCV)
MOR will no doubt get sold in the summer and will need replaced.
A few questions to consider ?
Will Hatate be the same if/ when he comes back?
Do we buy Bernardo?
Do we make an offer for Idah as our back up striker (or our 3rd striker) ?
Does CalMac get the benefit of the doubt and continue as Captain?
Will BR be here, if not who replaces him?
At the same time we need to BIN approx 25 players from a 40 odd first team squad IMO.

I can only add to the posts above.
All three GK positions were laughable prior to Joe arriving and he certainly steadied the ship.
He's been great for Celtic and I think Celtic has been great for Joe.

I'd imagine it very much depends on who option 'C' might be?
If it were a highly rated striker then it could be option C plus A or B to go alongside our No.8.
I think the majority of supporters would agree that OH NO needs to GO as he brings nothing to the party.
Kyogo, Miovski and Idah would not be a bad set 9f strikers to have on the books given the goals they scored collectively this season ?

On Miovski,
he's clearly not Henrik but it's hard not to think that given his scoring record this season at a bottom 6 club, he'd score for fun in a Celtic team.
He offers something very different to Kyogo and perhaps, depending on the game, both could play at the same time. ?
Offering scales isn't a bad shout as that would kill two birds with one stone but in no way do I see him as a gamble as he ticks a lot of boxes and has already demonstratedhe knows where the goal is.

We're in a great position financially to bring in proven players in key positions who will improve the first 11.
* cash in the bank
* fees from players to be sold
* sell on fees for players e. g. Frimpong
* CL money (should we win the league)
Im not a fan of the term 'marquee signing', as if it's some sort of bonus the fans should be excited about.
We should be scouting and signing TWO first team starters every single season, players who come in and are an automatic upgrade on the player they are replacing.
That way the bar gets raised higher, the team shape doesn't get upset as it's not wholesale change and the consistency of performance and results should follow.
The aim here should be to continue domestic dominance but importantly make an impact on the European stage, targeting the latter stages of the Europa League initially, which requires skills and experience we just don't have at this moment in time e. g. game management.
