Hi Ed, i have just seen about the game for cancer that's coming up in September. Do you have any details on this? Coincidence that i see it the same day that i find out that my cancer is back. Looks like a good time to take the missus to her first ever Celtic game.

{Ed007's Note - Oh God mate, I am so sorry to hear that. I'm sure I can speak for everyone in hoping that you beat this again and that we're all behind you 100% in your battle. I'll keep you in my prayers, may God bless you and your family and give you the strength & courage for the long road ahead.
Here's the link about the charity match:

Hi Arrowh, just like to say all the best and good luck with your fight against that bastard disease. It destroys lives but there are always good news stories nowadays regarding Cancer. It's not the sentence it used to be. Keep the faith bud, you can get through this again.

6.) 21 Apr 2018 20:29:31
Sorry to hear that news arrowh, stay strong friend. 🍀.

7.) 21 Apr 2018 22:34:26
Thanks for all your prayers guys but this WILL NOT be terminal. As i said on here earlier, i have three years to wait for ten in a row then twenty years of gloating.

I haven’t heard any rumours but wonder if Duff saw some things that he wasn’t happy about before deciding to leave.

{Ed007's Note - It was Duff's wife and kids that wanted him home mate, they hadn't moved over here with him.}

1.) 19 Oct 2020 15:59:36
We have a Duff at the club if you take the Y off our centre half’s name, I honestly can’t see what all the fuss was about him he’s just awful.

2.) 19 Oct 2020 17:51:02
I think a lot of it is too with the transfer being dragged out so long that most where just happy to eventually get him in. oh and he plays for the Republic, which seems to make him an automatic superstar.

3.) 19 Oct 2020 19:02:43
Agreed I don't understand what all the buzz surrounding him was, he just looks average at best to me.

4.) 19 Oct 2020 16:39:15
Hi Ed, i saw that his wife an kids hadn’t moved up with him. I take it that they decided that it wasn’t working. I just thought that maybe if he wasn’t happy about some things that it could have helped him make the decision. As i said, I hadn’t heard anything and was probably grasping at straws.

{Ed007's Note - Nah It was just his family that made him leave, Duff was very happy in the job and is disappointed things didn't work out. I wouldn't rule him out returning at some point in the future - maybe when his kids are a bit older.}

5.) 20 Oct 2020 00:48:58
or when lennon gets the old heev ho.

05 Oct 2020 15:01:48
Hi Ed. Do you know what the latest news is on Julien.

{Ed007's Note - It's just a case of him getting back to full fitness after his back injury and forcing his way back into the first XI.}

1.) 05 Oct 2020 16:39:29
With hopefully Diego coming in its been a good window anything else would be a bonus.

2.) 05 Oct 2020 19:09:24
Thanks EDs for your info as usual great job u and the other EDs celtics work will be done shortly for the summer window no late surprises and now we have to wait and see with fingers crossed the players come back safe and well from the international break before the big wan.

{Ed007's Note - It's always a pleasure, Richy baby and we guddled by even though me not having a computer didn't help. I'm really happy with the way the window has went with the new additions and that it looks like we've kept the squad together. We've managed to strengthen in key areas with a permanent new GK, Ajeti looks like he will be a cracking player for us and hopefully the loanees can step up and show that they're worth permanent moves next summer not to mention we've signed one of the top young talents in Scotland in Turnbull.
Hopefully once the window is closed the players with itchy feet realise there's nothing they can do about it and knuckle down to become legends to chase our 5th Treble in a row.}

3.) 05 Oct 2020 20:30:44
Just let's hope Frimpong doesn't get an injury cause he must be the most fouled player just like wee jinky would like to have seen some players out on loan if not getting game time i. e Soro and would like to see at least two youth players get a chance of big match day squads.

{Ed007's Note - With the new sub rules there's plenty of opportunities for players to get game time.}

If Celtic do sell the want aways plus some others (Bolingoli, Ajer, Ntcham, Christie, Rogic) plus the sell on for Dembele, we will be looking at about £60-£65 million to rebuild. Add to that £30 million + for Eduard and it’s a pretty good budget for a new manager to come in to. The question is, will the board go against the main thing that most supporters hold sacred, (10) and how much of it would they put back in?

1.) 28 Aug 2020 07:52:12
A quid for every million. in all seriousness . maybe 30M.

2.) 28 Aug 2020 08:34:02
As long as we sign better than Klimala, Bolingoli, Soro and Bayo.

3.) 28 Aug 2020 09:05:12
How can you say "better than Soro and Klimala" when we haven't had the chance to see them play?
If Lennon actually gave them a chance it might help the team.

4.) 28 Aug 2020 09:11:20
Celtic would only get half of your £65 million for all those players combined.
All of those players can easily be replaced.
I’m confident Edouard will stay because he isn’t easily replaced.
At the moment Celtic could get more for Edouard than all the other want away players combined.

5.) 28 Aug 2020 09:22:27
why include soro he hasn't had much of a chance and we haven't seen him play, klimala also hasn't had much time something like 45min of first team football and at least he seems to be taking his chance by coming back to traning having worked hard during the break. theirs plenty imposters taking a wage that's been at celtic for a few seasons and think they're the bees knees when in reality they are mediocre at best,

6.) 28 Aug 2020 10:06:49
Johnboy; there must be several reasons why these players have not been given a chance by now after almost a year at the club.
The phrase NL used when we were in the market at the time was 'hit the ground running' and we are still waiting. What good is that?
Either the coaching is at fault or the scouting/ buying is flawed?

19 Aug 2020 22:22:51
So much for the mouthpiece from Djurgardens saying that he was positive that they would hammer us.

14 Aug 2020 11:23:31
Morning Ed. 21 year old French left footed defender Malang Sarr. He’s a free agent just now. I haven’t seen him in action. Do you know if he’s good? Apparently can play CB or LB.

{Ed007's Note - Malang Sarr (CB/LB) is in talks with Bayer Leverkusen about a move and Borussia Mönchengladbach have also declared an interest. RB Leipzig have another target who is seen as a Dayot Upamecano replacement but have Sarr in mind as an alternative.
He's a cracking player but is way out of our price range and I doubt he'd be interested in moving to Scotland.}

1.) 14 Aug 2020 12:22:44
Cheers mate. I thought that it looked too good to be true.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

2.) 14 Aug 2020 15:45:33
mentioned him a wee while ago, he would be an ideal signing for us.

3.) 14 Aug 2020 16:31:51
When the bigger leagues are sniffing we've got no chance.

I’ve got an idea, all the non believers/ cv knockers should volunteer to help out at the hospitals. They wouldn’t need protective gear and they would have nothing to worry about and if and when they get through it, at least they would be converted.

They keep hoping for a quick fix and think they can see light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately for them, the tunnel is too long, the light isn’t bright enough and it’s probably a guy with a torch and another pile of unpaid invoices.

Del Bhoy, I think that Lennon has very poor man management skills but Keane, the team would fall apart.

I’m not a fan of Moyes either Ed but would definitely rather have him than Lennon. I liked Lennon as a player but he doesn’t seem to have learned anything during his time in management roles. I have never seen anyone waiting until the last 7 minutes to bring on 2 substitutes unless they were winning and wanted to burn a couple of minutes and disrupt the game a wee bit.

{Ed007's Note - I'm no great fan of Moyes either but he would have continued the high (Pub League) standards behind the scenes and helped refresh the youth & scouting system if he was allowed to. People moan about his style of football but look at the dross we're watching just now and who knows he may have changed his approach in a lesser league. We'd definitely be harder to beat, we'd be better organised tactically and at set-pieces players would know exactly what's required of them. The players would know who's the boss and if you're not pulling your weight you will be dropped.
If Moyes had been appointed instead of Lennon I reckon there would be a lot of fans - including me - who would have changed their mind about him by now.}

I must admit, it has taken longer that i thought for Lennons poor man management skills to have seriously adverse effects on the players. When you add that to his lack of tactical know how, we will make hard work of the 10 when it should have been almost routine.
