According to reports Zenit St Petersburg to bid £9m for Tom Rogic. I would sell him for that. Time to move him on.

Ice Man

1.) 01 Jul 2019 20:02:41
Snap their hands of, get some add ons as well, £1m every time he's on the treatment table, we will be rolling in it.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 20:04:32
Jeezo if this is true carlsberg really do Glasgow Celtic transfer windows would love this to be true.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 20:04:54
I would have to agree
Has magic in his feet, but his body must be made of glass.

4.) 01 Jul 2019 20:05:12
SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL.

5.) 01 Jul 2019 20:37:52
Taxi for Rogic 🚕.

6.) 01 Jul 2019 20:39:06
Yea while I do like Rogic, I just can't stand the fact he is injured so often. Also when he is crap he is really crap, I would take 9m no problem but I'd also try and get more first as you never know.
Could easily be replaced for that kind of money!

7.) 01 Jul 2019 20:56:35
I'd sell him for half that.
Discount available if off our hands by this weekend.

8.) 01 Jul 2019 20:58:36
I'd take half that to move him on.

9.) 01 Jul 2019 21:06:41
I'll drive him to St Petersburg for that amount.

10.) 01 Jul 2019 21:08:56
Take the 9mil
5 goes to Celtic and I'll take 4 and carry him all the way to st petersburg
I think some might do it cheaper than me though.

11.) 01 Jul 2019 21:11:25
He would get injured on the way to the medical.

12.) 01 Jul 2019 21:16:13
I think you guys are a bit harsh. Admittedly he wasn’t the same player last season when he came back after serious injury but was a big game player who scored the big goals for a couple of seasons before last season.
£9m would be good deal for the club but he’s not that bad I’d offer to drive him to the Airport .

13.) 01 Jul 2019 21:25:08
Well said GGGG. The guys scored some big and imporant goals for us and this is the respect he gets.

14.) 01 Jul 2019 23:34:00
GGGG and United Ireland your right he has scored some big goals but he does it about once or twice a season.
His stats are shocking.
34 goals in six years?
His assist rate isn't to clever either.
He's plays in the most creative area in the park and hardly ever creates or scores.

15.) 01 Jul 2019 23:54:04
I'd snap the hands off them for £6m to be fair. If the entire fee got invested in to buying a top notch replacement.

16.) 02 Jul 2019 09:25:32
We apparently want 15 for him.

17.) 02 Jul 2019 16:25:40
Is this really the time, 2 out from the 10, to be dismantling the team? We’ll have no one left from at this rate.

22 Jun 2019 11:02:44
If KT is to leave us this summer I really hope we go for the lad Melling from Rosenberg as his replacement.

Ice Man

1.) 22 Jun 2019 11:49:27
He's no gaun!

2.) 22 Jun 2019 13:24:45
I would like to know where all the Dembele, VVD Sell on money etc has gone, that we look to be selling one of our main assets.

3.) 22 Jun 2019 14:48:38
We’re not actively trying to sell KT to get cash in. But if a team meets our valuation of him and it’s a move he’d like to pursue, we won’t stand in his way. If he goes it won’t be because we are kicking him out the door, it’ll be because he wants to move to further his career. What Robertson’s achieved at Liverpool will certainly have KT thinking that he’d like some of that.

The 10 might be huge to us fans, but players have short careers. He won’t hang around if a club like Arsenal want him and meet our valuation IMO.

4.) 22 Jun 2019 15:17:35
If we can keep tierney past this window, i think he'll stay until after the 10 is won.

5.) 22 Jun 2019 15:48:40
I said it last transfer window and believe the same this window, he will be here until the 10 is wrapped up at minimum, that's just my opinion I work with an arsenal fan, he's adamant that we will let him go to them for 15 million, I buckled with laughter at the arrogance and said to him as I said above, with the added 'he's a bhoy living his dream, playing for the team he supports and came through the youth academy, he will want to leave a legend if and when he does leave so he's here for the 10' it pretty much clamped him haha.

6.) 22 Jun 2019 16:02:52
Sjaldad it went on thing like the 62 million wage bill and things like that.

Do people not realise that there is millions of pounds worth of money that goes out our club in the form of bills and wages before a transfer budget can even be prepared?

The club will need about 60-80 million this season to run.

7.) 22 Jun 2019 16:04:07
guys, everyone asks were all the money goes. we have a club who pays terrific wages we have a near world class stadium that needs to be maintained we have a pitch that is the envy of all scotland (even thou it wasnt as good last year as it should have been) we have an infrastructure and a business model envied by a huge part of europe we have 60000 bums on seats we have a treble treble so gentleman and ladies that's were a lot of our money goes, o nearly forgot the disco lights again an envy of europe. that is why we are glasgow celtic hh.

8.) 22 Jun 2019 16:14:03
I don't know if Kieran will leave before or after the 10 but surely to God arsenal shouldn't be his destination I would think he could do better than that arsenal can't compete anymore for EPL never mind champions league.

9.) 22 Jun 2019 16:19:04
I think he would jump at the chance to sign for Arsenal tbh. He would get a game in a far better league and have a realistic chance of having an extended European run. There’s no doubt he bleeds green but I think he would move if a club that stature in BPL went for him.
I base this on him hardly distancing himself from Everton in the past and it was only a couple of years ago he was comparable in ability to Robertson and will want to prove he is as good of not better.
Think £20m would secure his services.
It’s win win if he stays brilliant if he goes In sure we will receive hefty fee and he will return in 4 or 5 years.

10.) 22 Jun 2019 16:53:12
C'mon Kev that's too much like common sense. Personally I'd have let Brown go this season and gave his wages and armband to Tierney to keep him for another couple of years.

11.) 22 Jun 2019 19:35:37
I think the best we can hope is we're using the arsenal link like a dozen clubs have done us. Wee bidding war starts and see what we can get from it.

12.) 23 Jun 2019 00:33:07
Well let's be honest about this. Did anyone expect anything else after we appointed NL full time. It is patently obvious that a lot of our young talent don't rate him or his methods and are looking elsewhere. I for one don't blame them.

25 May 2019 19:26:44
Listen Bhoys regardless of people's opinion of Lenny the fact is he is the permanent manager of Glasgow Celtic and we as supporters must back him. Hopefully the board will give him the funds to bring in players to strengthen the team and I believe he will have us playing a much more attacking style of football. We are in a great position Bhoys having just completed the treble treble . Let's get behind the Lenny and the Bhoys in our quest for 10. This is how it feels to be Celtic 🍀.

Ice Man

1.) 25 May 2019 19:33:59
Ice Man I have no doubt the majority of us will support him. No matter who is in the dug out we want to see Celtic win every game. You can't hide from the fact that there are much better managers out there though and it would appear the club have done nothing to try and get one.

2.) 25 May 2019 19:45:06
Absolutely JimTim I’m not doubting that at all. Lenny was by no means my first choice but now it’s confirmed he has been offered the job we must all accept this and give him out full backing.

3.) 25 May 2019 20:11:02
Is it 100% that he's the manager?

4.) 25 May 2019 20:12:24
Cheap option, no ambition. going to be long season 🤕.

5.) 25 May 2019 20:24:18
At least all the manager rumours can be put to bed it was starting to get boring, I'm just glad it's not Moyes.
The board have took the cheap option but we knew they would this time round, as long as they don't take the cheap route with the transfers required to strengthen the squad.
We need to get rid of some of the dead wood at the club and urgently.
Sinclair
Gordon
Griffiths
Lustig
Bitton
Hayes
Compper
Mulumbu
Alan

We promote the young talent we already have into the fold, along with some quality needed players at Right back, Centre back and second striker and I think we can kick on no problem.

My team moving forward:-

GK Bain Sub New Signing or Youth
RB New Signing Sub Ralston
LB Tierney Sub Church
CB Ayer Sub Simunovic
CB New Signing Sub Hendry
CDM Brown Sub McInroy
CM McGregor Sub Coffey
AMR Forrest Sub Shved
AMC Christie Sub Henderson
AML Johnson Sub Oko-Flex
CF Edouard Sub New Signing

We also have Miller coming back, Dembele, Bayo and Kouassi.

This isn't just a great time to be a celtic fan but it also could be a time where we start to see youth flourish at the club more than ever before HH Rebel Treble.

6.) 25 May 2019 20:30:26
cheap option?
correct option
so you wanted a manger who knows nothing about the celtic way what it means the managers that where gettig spouted here are useless without big bucks and sly tv money.
go and check lennons history he's also got an eye for a player.
Rodgers Celtic where dying on there feet Lennon got them over the line
he will put his touch on the champs next season and make us better. lennons record in europe is pretty gd too.

7.) 25 May 2019 20:46:57
Lennon getting the job is a total uninspiring option. I love lennon for what he did for the club. But perm manager really. Gutted this is going to be a long long season next year.

8.) 25 May 2019 21:23:33
What is the celtic way andy?

9.) 25 May 2019 21:28:38
Doesn't matter who the manager is eally. It's what he does.

If Lennon recruits well and fixes the problems we can see in the team and makes sure there's organisation and hunger in the squad then I'll be happy.

Those celebrating Lennon's appointment across the city today will go into meltdown when Lenny leads us to the 10.

10.) 25 May 2019 21:48:52
jimtim
play for the club play, for the top, play remembering past history, fans getting future memories one big happy family,
sixtythousand fans singing walk on what a feeling that is when you are in it.
the Celtic way is attacking teams getting the job done and make us a team, feared anywhere we go in the world.

Rodgers in my opinion lost his way for a while every team we played i constantly we are where lose this biting nails etc. i was also sick of the ball constantly getting past around our defence think this wasted 20 mins in every game.
Lenny finished Rodgers job not sure where we would have finished up this season, as i stopped believing in rodgers hmmmm then he walked the signs where there, lenny steadied the ship and broke more records.
just can't get enough.

11.) 25 May 2019 22:45:05
for those who think next season is going to be a long one I don't think it can be any longer than this one. we diddn't play great all season and somehow managed to pull another treble out of the bag. We may have gotten the treble anyway with Rogers but we will never know as he ran away when the going got tough. I think next year with the squad revamped and Lenny's passion it will be easier but i suppose if we don't get a quadruple treble it will be Lennons fault.

12.) 25 May 2019 23:08:37
To be fair I said after the Valencia games Rodgers should walk as he had three years to get it right in Europe, I do not want Lennon as the next man but will back him 100%, can only hope that whatever a new manager would have been promised he will get the same to recruit. If Neil can take us to 10 it will be even sweeter knowing how much it hurts them. WE ARE ALL NEIL LENNON! 🏆.

13.) 25 May 2019 23:50:37
Lenny’s had his chance IMO and to the poster saying Lenny has an eye for a signing. How much did he actually say in the signing of players?

14.) 26 May 2019 04:07:33
Here lennon is not the best choice the cheap option as usual decent manager done the job tight board upstairs fck all ambition.

15.) 26 May 2019 05:49:22
@ Ice Man. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm behind him. I'm just really disappointed the board didn't try and show a bit more ambition.

@ Andy. Neil Lennon is a Celtic fan sure, he'll certainly want the club to do well. But any decent manager would. And if the Celtic way is attacking teams then i'm afraid it's not exclusive to Celtic.

16.) 26 May 2019 08:09:35
I’m underwhelmed like a lot of us on here, we will probably get John park back again. The way Lawwell goes on in his statement you would think we had the best manager we could possibly get. I feel Lawwell just has the manager he can control a lot easier, even after the game Lennie said he would need guarantees before he would accept anything. Yet 30 mins later after a brief 5 min chat in the shower the job was accepted. What guarantees were offered during that 5 min chat?
He said he knows no better manager for having an eye for a player, when Lennie was here before he picked up quite a few but like others before him and after him quite a few were poor as well as we are generally only shopping in the 2-3 million pound market. With rumours that he offered Izzy a new deal, his determination to keep playing Lustig to the detriment of the team worries me slightly, yes I know he wants to be loyal but as good as servants these players have been, unfortunately their time is up. I aid a couple of weeks ago that there would be no chance of us spending a large fee for a player with Lennie in charge as he wouldn’t rock the boat. After us receiving 9 million for Rogers leaving and us taking the cheap route, I hope he’s given a large transfer chest to push us further away in our quest for nine. Lawwell has taken a massive gamble here I feel to protect his bonuses.

17.) 26 May 2019 11:47:36
I think Lennon was good as a cover manager as although not pretty at times he got the job done.
There was so many of those games that could have went the other way Hearts away and yesterday, Dundee away and Rangers at home to name a few.
Is it down to good management or good fortune that we won those games, maybe a bit of both.
His European record and transfer record have been very good in the past, and I like all good Celtic fans will be supporting him all the way.
If I’m honest though I am a little concerned at both our performances against that mob under Lennon and the 1 before it under Brendan, we can’t afford to give them a glimmer of hope which means qualification for champions league is a must to ensure we have the finances required to stay at the top.

18.) 26 May 2019 14:09:04
Very underwhelming and a total lack of ambition appointing Lennon. Lawwell clearly hasn't been watching any games since Lennon took over. I'd hope the "blueprint" Rodgers put in place is adhered to by Lennon. The whole fitness thing is a major concern under Lennon. So hopefully he has to stick with the strict fitness regime put in place by the snake. And hopefully no new deals for Lustig or Izzy either as they've served us well and we wish them well. I'd include Hendry in that list of deadwood too Turner1984 but Griffiths seriously!?

We've a good core of players to build the team around. Tierney, Ajer, McGregor, Christie, Griffiths, Edouard.

Out

Boyata, Gamboa, Lustig, Toljan, Benko, Izzy, Hendry, Gordon, De Vries, Commper, Bitton, Allen, Benyu, Mulumbu, Burke.

Most of these won't be missed as most are squad players and can free up a huge amount of wages we're possibly paying these over £200,000 a week in wages!

In

GK, RB, 2 x CB, LB, 2 x CM, CAM.

All to a decent enough quality. Possibly some of these will be loans. Benkovic loan return? Woodman/ Darlow? Harper in for a development fee? Leroy Fer on a free? Tomori? Diemers and/ or Maher signed from Eredivise? Turnbull signed from Motherwell? Plenty of speculation already.

As much as it's disappointing Lennon getting the job we must back him in the transfer market and we can all look forward to seeing the deadwood leave and hopefully some exciting new players signed and a better balance to the squad to push for 10 in a row.

19.) 26 May 2019 14:12:21
Selling Sinclair and Griffiths? Why?

20.) 26 May 2019 14:33:45
Because they don't want goals in our team cory.

21.) 26 May 2019 16:15:23
Turner1984, are you having a laugh? Griff and Sinclair are dead wood? When Griff comes back he'll be massive for us in the same way he was before he needed a break. Sinclair still has a lot to offer, the rest I agree with. HH.

22.) 26 May 2019 16:37:21
I guess the bhoys that think Lenny is a good choice hasn't seen any of the games since he has taken over NO clue NO plan B NO strategy NO 9 in a row.

23.) 26 May 2019 17:18:41
We will all get behind lennon, but we actually thought the board might show ambition. But as usual we go for cheap option AGAIN. As long as lennon does not get players like lustig, izzy, etc to re sign and actually get this clear out done and get new team together.
We have a great nucleus of young talent, with 5-6 great signings we could be great team again . let's hope neil gets the funds he needs . 🍀🍀.

24.) 26 May 2019 17:53:50
How anyone can be surprised out rubbishbag board went for their poodle is beyond me. I’m feeling sick at all the utter rubbish he’s a Celtic man. So are we all. Did we forget the turgid rubbish we endured the last time? Did nobody notice his abysmal tactics and team selections, especially at Mordor?

We have gone cheap again with a management mind set straight from the 70’s. Add to that a board who know he will demand f uck all and take whatever his puppet master will give him.

A sad day when it’s evident we have chucked it. Save me all this NFL vomit. As if him having a Tim name makes up for him being a rubbish manager.

Go f uck yer selves board. Well you better get someone in to help him. Remember if we will he kept Burke on for over 60 minutes at Ibrox. Our first half yesterday was one of the worst ever.

10iar just got even harder to achieve.

25.) 27 May 2019 19:28:09
Bob if LG came back and played to his ability then I agree, but it's a gamble, as for Sinclair I still think we could cash in a few quid on him and bring in someone with greater quality in a more concerning position.

26.) 27 May 2019 21:05:26
I’d replace Sinclair for Roberts cheaper and hungrier.

27.) 27 May 2019 21:56:33
Wrong wing. Roberts plays RW the same as Forrest and Shved and the returning Morgan as well as Dembele.

28.) 28 May 2019 11:59:56
Did I just read this isn't a good time to support Celtic .
Holy Cow! I have followed Celtic since mid '60's and apart from my early days with Big Jock, I can't remember a better time than now . Treble Treble and ongoing more to come Yet it isn't a good time to support Celtic .

I hate this negative statement that Celtic have went for the cheap option . Honesty I think that the cost Cheap or dear is not important , whether it is a player or manager the most important criteria is that it is the right man for job . I think the Board couldn't risk a "big name from Europe or wherever" as we couldn't afford time for new man to impose his new ways and style as 9 and 10 in a row is most important.

28 Mar 2019 21:46:32
Forrest straggling with a muscle injury according to Lennon. I'd go with Burke and Sinclair on the wings with Eddy up top I'd Forrest doesn't make it.

Ice Man

1.) 29 Mar 2019 05:53:09
That's a shame because I read an article saying Barisic could be out, meaning Halliday or Wallace would be at left back? Not sure, but Forrest's pace would leave either for dead. In that case it would have to be Burke.

2.) 29 Mar 2019 09:56:11
Another bloody injury get Burke on right he'll absolutely run riot against holliday.

24 Jan 2019 22:48:46
Isn't it great to see the genuine delight in Timo Weah's face due to the fact he's playing for Glasgow Celtic. The way he celebrated both his goals and interacted with the fans as well as the way he talks about the club in his interviews he seems genuinely honoured to be here. And to read his instagram page today he says that we are more than a football club, we are a family. He totally gets it. I'd love him to stay longer than his 6 month loan 🍀.

Ice Man

1.) 25 Jan 2019 02:23:55
Hope the wee man starts on Saturday let’s see him get a full ninety minutes 🍀.

2.) 25 Jan 2019 03:04:08
Cannot wait till wee get the rangers in our own pad and restore natural order. The pace through this team will destroy this team of overpayed passengers . Comon Celtic rap up the treble treble asap and dump Valencia 🍀 great days to be a Tim.

3.) 25 Jan 2019 06:13:50
Nice to see genuine delight in celebrations. Maybe some of the players giving him stick could show a bit more as too many these days seem to just shrug off scoring a goal. It's nicer to feel that connection. The boy Bayo coming in looks like he loves a celebration too. I think just that little bit of freshness in the attacking third will raise the bar.

4.) 25 Jan 2019 11:22:29
What players are giving him stick?

5.) 25 Jan 2019 11:25:27
Wylie Christie says they where winding him up all in good banter.

6.) 25 Jan 2019 11:52:31
About his celebration I think lol.

7.) 25 Jan 2019 13:01:59
It's cause when he scored his first goal he done about 5 celebrations at the once lol. all in jest though and apparently has been warmly welcomed.

8.) 25 Jan 2019 15:21:55
I completely agree. It's great to have such a someone with such a positive energy come in and appreciate what we're all about. I love how he gives the glory to God too. Very humble and he can only be a good influence on the rest of the squad with an attitude like that. The added bonus is that he also seems a bit tasty with the football :D.

9.) 25 Jan 2019 15:30:28
Awrite lol, cheers.

Lennon was asked if he expected any signings before the Stockholm game. He replied "Possibly, he may be cup tied though" make of that what you will.

Ice Man

1.) 17 Aug 2019 20:41:15
boy from rosenborg.

2.) 17 Aug 2019 20:49:32
Would he be cup tied?
He hasn’t played europa this year yet?

3.) 17 Aug 2019 21:02:37
Between Lenny and big Sutton there's just rumbling tums. Strachan used to take the Mick out of media, poorly in my view, and Lenny seems to followed suit.

4.) 18 Aug 2019 09:36:56
It's a long way from the bullish statement of needing five players a short time ago and a worrying trend of how his ambitions and plans have been torpedoed by Lawell; who sees the KT money as the 'ransom' for not qualifying for the CL.

08 Aug 2019 17:29:15
The very best of luck to KT. I really hope he fulfils his potential and lights up the English Premier League. He'll always be one of our own in my eyes and who knows, one day he may don the famous green and white hoops again. All the very best kid 🍀.

Premier Sports have announced they are showing the game v Cluj on Wednesday at 7pm.

Ice Man

1.) 05 Aug 2019 19:20:15
Pissed off by the amount of games we are contracted to Premier Sports as I already have subscriptions to SLY and BT.
Obviously there is no coverage by terrestrial TV and supporters should not have to pay yet another company to watch our team.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 19:58:58
Get rid of Sly and BT and get yourself a decent android box or stream kodi and a couple of apk's through your xbox or pc and you will get all the sport you ever want for free.

04 Aug 2019 00:02:23
An absolute joy to watch today. That performance was truly the Glasgow Celtic way. That fast dynamic style of football is what we have been crying out for, for some time now. The catalyst is without doubt Christie. That young man is going to be one hell of a player for both Celtic and Scotland. There were no negatives to that performance today. One observation I did make was what difference a big aggressive centre forward would make. There were some fantastic crosses into the box from Elhamed and Bolingoli as well as the set pieces from Christie, McGregor and Griff but nobody really there to attack them. It's not really Eddies game to go and attack crosses into the box and I feel a big target man would add an extra dimension to our game. Nevertheless I am one happy Bhoy tonight and looking forward to the season ahead 🍀.

Ice Man

1.) 04 Aug 2019 11:36:50
Best performance in years. A joy.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 14:24:22
Ice man, it’s virtually impossible to have a team with everything in its locker . We don’t have the domineering big centre forward Lording over centre halves and turning crosses into goals, but we have Eddie, who can draw defenders out of position, has close control of ball, links up well with other attacking players and works non stop .
It’s nearly always you have an Eddie type if lucky, or big ackward centre forward who refs would blow up if he breathed on a defender .
I prefer the Eddie type .

3.) 04 Aug 2019 17:46:57
Chris I’m not saying I would prefer a big target man instead of Eddy. I’m saying I would like one as well as him. I think we’ll see Lenny go with two strikers in a lot of games this season. As you say Eddie is technically gifted who likes to drop off the front and link up. Then there’s Griff who loves to play on the last defender and constantly looks to run in behind. If we had a third target man style forward then we would have 3 very different effective strikers. Lenny has said he wants to bring in another striker so I guess we’ll see.

Kev you come across as an arrogant tosser as other posters have pointed out. Constantly telling posters their opinions are nonsense. I didn’t want Lenny to get the managers job permanently but now he has it I will back him. I also know he was majorly at fault during the week with his team selection but I will not call for him to be sacked. It’s looks like you’re desperate for Lennon to fail so you can come on here and say I told you so even if it means the demise of the team.

He’s signed a two year deal but it’s expected he will go into the academy set up.

Where did you hear this LL67? Surely to God this can’t be true. We need a minimum of 4-5 players.

Us supporters don’t give a rats ass about £100m turnover or share prices. We care about the quality of team on the park. If you’d rather sit and look at a healthy balance sheet rather than a quality product on the park then good for you.

We must be the most fickle supporters in world football. We lost ONE yes ONE game and supporters are calling for Lennon to be sacked. Let’s just say he’s sacked today and we appoint a new manager in time for the Stockholm tie. If they lose that should he then be sacked?

I’d like to see us go with two sitting midfielders I. e Lambert and Lennon. In Europe we look to flood forward and when we get hit on the break it leaves our defence massively exposed. We have plenty of options going forward with our wingers, strikers and number 10 options but we have very few defensive minded midfielders.
