Any truth in possible Adidas strip deal, or just rumour?

Bribhoy

1.) 07 Jan 2020 14:52:42
It's a rumour just now as it stands but expect to hear more the next few months when our agreement with new balance is coming to an end.

Footyheadlines who are highly reliable and usually get it spot on said an agreement was in place with us and adidas so here's hoping!

I personally think new balance has been a waste of time and the strips have been horrible, whereas adidas tops are usually stunning and would bring far more income to the club if a deal works out.

I know it's probably done to death at the moment but does anyone know who the next manager will be. Anyone in the know? . I only get my info online out here and with ridiculous suggestions like Mourinho I've not got a clue.

Bribhoy

1.) 10 May 2019 06:15:49
Bribhoy, I think it's best to assume that Lennon will be announced as the permanent manager until the club says otherwise. A thousand people will have a thousand opinions but that's all they are. HH.

2.) 10 May 2019 10:43:43
Thanks Bob. Could be worse. 😉.

3.) 10 May 2019 11:10:07
Think it will be Lennon but hope I'm wrong. Problem is I can't think of many realistic candidates. Like ed said, it would be interesting to see who's applied. We can hope.

4.) 10 May 2019 19:14:05
I hope it's not Lenny and the board have got who will be next manager sorted now ready to go in right after the cup final.

5.) 10 May 2019 23:49:06
Bielsa if he doesn't get promoted? 😉 Doesn't spend too much either so will suit how the board work.

6.) 12 May 2019 03:40:02
It’s Lennon I feel bad for the guy doesn’t know what’s happening if he has a job or not, not many guys would have came in as an intern manager he’s bailed us out! Big ask to come and fill Brendan’s shoes, I personally would rather someone else to manage us but at the end of the day who can Celtic attract, we got lucky with Rodgers because he was a Celtic man and out of work. Imagine Jose Mourinho coming to Scotland and standing at pittodrie with a half empty stadium, and at the most a club record of 9million to spend on a player lol.

13 Jan 2018 09:45:00
Does anyone know of paddy roberts injury progress. Thanks in advance.

Bribhoy

1.) 13 Jan 2018 10:38:59
Bribhoy according to Brendan himself, Roberts not expected back playing until end of February, Rogic could be back end of January.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 10:41:20
He is doing light training and looks to be on course for February return.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 11:07:02
Been a real waste of money this loan deal with little return.

Hindsight obviously but surely we have a player in mind for a permanent transfer going forward

I’d love to see us go for Sebastian Giovinco - unsure of what he earns in the MLS but the kind of creative player we need for Europe.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 11:47:37
I’d imagine Paddy is the obvious choice for a permanent signing Kev.

5.) 13 Jan 2018 11:50:42
Gionvinco went to the MLS as the highest paid player at the time. He’s now been overtaken by Kaka and David Villa, but he’s on well over 100k a week.

6.) 13 Jan 2018 12:01:55
Paddy was outstanding last year and can only remember one injury he's been unlucky this year but as far as the loan we could have paid 6mill for him and he'd still be injured.

7.) 13 Jan 2018 13:18:37
Yeah but he’d be our player if he signed.

Hopefully gets back fit and well soon as we could have done with him in late December.

8.) 13 Jan 2018 17:11:48
Would absolutely love it if we used the VVD money towards securing wee Paddy.

9.) 13 Jan 2018 20:36:48
A fit on form Paddy is our best player. Hope we can secure him long term.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 12:15:36
It's been a nightmare season for the wee man considering he had virtually no pre-season preparation and this contributed to his injuries and stop-start second spell.
He has proved what he can do when fit and confident and I would be delighted if we could secure PR on a long term deal.

11.) 15 Jan 2018 03:16:19
Thanks for the above info. Hopefully we can get a bit of spark back after the winter break. All the players firing on all cylinders makes for an exciting second half to the season.

08 Jan 2018 12:11:33
As an expat only get info from the papers and online here. Any truth in sturidge rumours or is it paper talk? Any other solid info on new potential signings would be appreciated!

Bribhoy

1.) 08 Jan 2018 18:12:25
I haven't seen Sturridge mentioned in any paper online and I usually do a google news search on Celtic every day. I'm assuming then, that the Sturridge link has came from one of the tw*tter experts that I do not follow. Sturridge, when fit, was an excellent player, who the manager knows and would really fit our style. However it's a huge gamble given that he hasn't stayed fit for so long. Then there's the matter of him probably being on more than 100k a week, which makes any sort of permanent deal an absolute pipe-dream.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 17:38:35
Bribhoy
Is that short for Brittany bhoy?
Any cache clubs down there?

3.) 10 Jan 2018 09:50:37
Don't live in Brittany Island Celt. Over in Oz so this is my only real line of information apart from the papers online but that info is sometimes hard to believe :)

I do like a good derby prediction. And I'm going to go 2-0. Because they haven't faced real champions for a bit, so expect to see them crumble again. 😁.

Bribhoy

1.) 10 Oct 2020 08:09:35
I think this will be a really close game. They beat Willem ll easily and beat Galatasary too both are good sides or used to be years ago. I remember hakan suker played for Galatasary and he was a great striker.

2.) 10 Oct 2020 11:11:47
There will be a winner because I don’t think it will end in a draw.
In the 18 derby games since they came up to the big league there has only been 2 draws.
Celtic have won 13 games and Rangers have won only 3 games since the 2016/ 17 season.

3.) 10 Oct 2020 12:09:22
The way we have played so far this season, I just can't see us winning unless we play like we did against Hibs.
Got to also remember Beaton will be in charge so expect them to get at least 1 penalty.

4.) 10 Oct 2020 14:40:04
3 1 to the celts can’t wait it should be a good game feels like I’ve been waiting years for a Glasgow Derby game . Wee turn up wee win unless Beaton and the boys from the lodge Chuck a spanner in the works.

02 Mar 2020 05:19:43
Another game towards a record. Still annoyed about the euro result and thought we had a real chance of progessing. But credit to the team, these records are not easy and just shows the mentality we have when it counts.

Bribhoy

27 Feb 2020 10:23:34
Hi Ed, will the game be streamed tonight?

Bribhoy

{Ed007's Note - Yes mate, as it's on BTSports there should be plenty of streams about tonight. It's only when it's only on CelticTV that they seem to be blocked although I know a few folk who got one on Sunday there so fingers crossed that either Celtic's relaxed their stance or some wee geek has cracked it.}

1.) 27 Feb 2020 11:14:18
Thanks appreciated as ever, ill have a wee kip and get up for it. Currently trying to figure out how to get past the big lizard at the front door🙄.

{Ed007's Note - Hahaha is that dinosaur still there? Remember it's an 8 p.m. UK time kick off tonight.}

2.) 27 Feb 2020 12:08:43
Yep, 4am here its on so looking forward to it. I swear it's getting bigger, have tried to pretend I'm dealing with it but I'm not lol. Locally they are supposed to be good for karma so maybe just making an appearance to cheer on the Bhoys. Cheers pal.

{Ed007's Note - What's it eating, stray cats and dogs? 😂

3.) 27 Feb 2020 16:21:03
I get all the Celtic games on my iptv home ones on a Saturday 3pm kick off! The guy gets it from South America I’m not naming where but has all the uk commentary it’s a great service! Mon the hoops let's go through with a bit to spare as someone said earlier there will be a lot of folk praying we go out tonight. let’s get behind Neil and the Bhoys! 🍀🇮🇪.

24 Feb 2020 15:37:44
Now that the league's wrapped up, who do you think deserves player of the year. It's effectively been done in February so who do you you think has made the biggest contribution so far?

Bribhoy

{Ed007's Note - Edouard or Forster for me, what about you, Brian?}

1.) 24 Feb 2020 16:21:45
Bribhoy, correct me if I'm wrong but did you say on the dark side that it's the same club?

2.) 24 Feb 2020 16:26:22
Callum Mc Gregor for me.

3.) 24 Feb 2020 17:04:11
Would be Forster for me Ed. And yes McAvennie I did. Would be the same if it happened to us. Same club I've loved seing getting beat all these years. If it wasn't then it wouldn't be the same feeling beating them. Not going to go into the whole bust argument, as that would take an eternity. Suffice to say they cheated and now suffer for it. And I'm glad for our dominance😁.

4.) 24 Feb 2020 17:04:35
It's a difficult decision to pick one player as I think big Forster, Jullien, Ajer, Broony, Cal-Mac, Forrest, Eddy and Christie have all had purple-patches that contributed brilliantly since away back last July and even Griff has made a big difference since the winter break.
Forster and Jullien won the league cup final almost on their own, with the big goalie giving us a really reliable last line of defense whereas Eddy has developed into a real class act and a match winner, at every level of football, he has played. Broony - legend. however,
At a push I would have to say Mc Gregor - (not Johhny Hayes as some people expected) - for his versatility, graft, creativity and goals. I really hope he stays for years to come.

5.) 24 Feb 2020 17:53:48
To each their own Bribhoy, but that grates on me. They laughed at our sack the board chants while they outspent us, and won with the help of masonic referees. We had a broken crest on the front and back pages of the person papers. I suppose it was sweet poetic justice that when they could have taken action, the person papers talked of front loaded warchests and the like. Celtic never went into admin never mind liquidation, Rangers DIED and amen to that.

6.) 24 Feb 2020 18:13:00
I didn't particularly enjoy that time either McAvennie. Which makes beating them all the sweeter😁.

7.) 24 Feb 2020 19:52:00
Eddy and big Herman share it.

8.) 24 Feb 2020 20:00:03
Cant look past edouard and the goals he's scored for poty but big fraz has contributed a hell of a lot, as have McGregor brown forrest christie ajer jullien. Got to be eddy tho he's on another level to the rest and we'll do well to keep him for another year. I would offer him whatever it takes and promise him his move when the ten is in the bag.

9.) 24 Feb 2020 20:18:31
It would be Eddie then Calmac for me. Calmac for his consistency, but Eddy has just been different class lately. His all round game has improved and his close control and range of finishing is a joy to watch. A real class act. The best player to play here since The King? I think so. Fraser is great, but he's not our player. yet. Although he's been fantastic for us, I'd rather reward one of our bhoys.

22 Feb 2020 04:08:50
Does anyone know what we get financially for win, draw at this stage of Europa?

Bribhoy

1.) 22 Feb 2020 11:57:36
At this stage it’s about qualification rather than money for a draw or a win.
If we qualify for the Last 16 the club will receive an extra 1.1 million Euro.
Quarter finalist 1.5 million Euro. Semi Finalists 2.4 million Euro. Losing Finalist 4.5 million Euro and the Europa league winners would receive 8.5 million Euro.
The prize money is very poor compared to the champions league.

2.) 22 Feb 2020 14:49:28
Cheers Buzzbomb.

To reply to above, pretty sure it's hard to get round C.V. testing. Just had mine on Monday as had to come back to Western Australia for work. Had 14 days quarantine and tested on 11th day. The paperwork to get into the state was phenomenal and had police coming to where we are to check quarantine. Everyday temperature check had to get sent. Forgot on day 12 and got a phone call to do ASAP. So I'm pretty sure it will be more stringent for the people back there. First time I've had the test and although the nasal bit wasn't too bad when she stuck that cotton bud to swab my tonsils I almost boaked. But work is work.

Get behind the team, a lot of misinformation, faux journalism. Never been his biggest fan for purely personal reasons. However, it's a big pressure season for us. If we don't win the mythical 10 in a row I won't be jumping off a bridge. But he has been a great player in our time. Like every company in the world the board makes the decisions. Some bad decisions made there. But with faith, anything is possible.

Crap performance, shots on goal for a Celtic team abysmal. But never give up. Support the team, and not the hype. I've never been a fan of Lennon. But I support my team.

3-1, the boofalo breaks his Celtic duck scores first, and Lexalt scores a hat trick on his debut with Neil playing him as lone striker?
