Seemingly Delaney has bn asked by the media and reports he left the country last week and his link to us. He replied with a smile that "yes sometimes when we get a couple of days off we travel".

1.) 16 Aug 2016 16:08:08
There isn't a sniff of it on tinterweb apart from some stories going back to February. Better not to listen to meaningless gossip, it gets some people all in a flutter! lol.

2.) 16 Aug 2016 17:25:15
Here's the story quote
Danish newspaper Tipsbladen spoke to Thomas Delaney ahead of their Champions League clash. They also as asked him about speculation linking him with Celtic - here is his reply

"Apropos " crazy world " . In transfervinduets last weeks blows it with rumors in the world of football, and when FC Copenhagen players last week had two days off, was gossiped about Thomas Delaney's " whereabouts " . In several places, it was reported that Delaney was spotted at Copenhagen airport on the way out of the country while his name still abound on the rumors in Scotland, where he again be associated with Celtic
What says Thomas Delaney to these speculations?

He responds with a poker smile :

- Yes, when you have two days off, there are many of us who travel .

He would not comment further. Now it is about Champions League.

3.) 16 Aug 2016 17:57:42
so because he smiled he's going to Celtic?

4.) 16 Aug 2016 18:34:56
Deduce what you want from it. Its a have a bit banter rumor page. What you expect mate.

5.) 16 Aug 2016 18:45:02
Smoke and mirrors mate, while he's under contract he won't comment on any other interested club, wait till the second legs by with and if there's something there I'm sure it will materialize.

6.) 16 Aug 2016 18:53:35
Shug, thanks for that translation. It's clear that he's on the verge of signing for us. There could be no other meaning! lol.

7.) 16 Aug 2016 19:26:50
Lol.
Lets face it. The big name CM will be Stevie G 🤔.

8.) 16 Aug 2016 19:37:44
I've got a sneaky feeling Stevie G could be the marquee signing. makes sense, season loan, gets to move back into hs house near Liverpool, champs lge again. he loves the hoops too. doable imo
🍀.

9.) 16 Aug 2016 19:39:25
Would he be eligible for CL.

10.) 16 Aug 2016 19:45:37
Is there actually substance to this if we get through to the CL then we'll sign a big name player? Sounds to me like a lot of people on here could be really dissapponted by the way! I know skinnybhoy has said its a cert that it will happen! But I wouldn't get my hopes up by the way! Hope it happens, but I'm always sceptical! Lol.

11.) 16 Aug 2016 20:27:37
I'm just thinking of potential big names that we could attract. Stevie G for me is a more realistic target. plus BR likes to sign players he trusts.

12.) 16 Aug 2016 20:36:00
Since when did singing Gerrard become marquee. He is done and hopefully remains in the good old US of A.

13.) 16 Aug 2016 21:05:26
schwienstieger keeps popping up everywhere, i first thought no thanks but if it is him what a statement of intent that is.

14.) 16 Aug 2016 21:44:06
Schwienstieger is under contract for 2 years and is on approx 275k a week. I think that we can put that to bed. He ain't taking a 95% pay cut, Man U ain't gona cover his salary on a loan.

15.) 16 Aug 2016 22:16:52
If he wants the dough he will go to America. Didn't fit with man u and his stock has dropped. His wage will be putting a few clubs off.

16.) 17 Aug 2016 09:19:25
Gerrard would be a fantastic signing IMO. Been there and done it in the CL. Brilliant leader. Does his best in training and often stays back after it has finished to practice even at his age. Will calm the younger players and show them a proper professional way to do things. A bit like what Kolo is doing just now which is doing wonders for our back 4.

17.) 17 Aug 2016 17:33:51
Delaney agrees to Join Bremen in january.

15 Aug 2016 20:42:04
Hope this one isn't true

Guys on KDS all flinging McGeadys name about. Seemingly has built a new house in Glasgow and his kid has started school up here

Really don't fancy it. PR is who we want on that position.

1.) 15 Aug 2016 21:15:39
stuff that.

2.) 15 Aug 2016 22:28:41
It's true about the new house, that's in bothwell however that means nothing the money he has now he could have 20 houses!

3.) 15 Aug 2016 23:26:41
He still has a house in thorntonhall and so it means nothing. Plus a certain Mr Lafferty also has a new home yards from me and he hasn't joined the club to the south west as far as I can gather.

4.) 16 Aug 2016 00:28:44
A chap I know from the pub is childhood friends with mcgeadys dad, and he told me ages ago that he (aiden) is quite the property collector. So a house in bothwell means hee haw really. He has dozens of properties including ones in Scotland and the ones he still owns when he was in Russia.

5.) 16 Aug 2016 13:32:08
First time poster.

His daughter was enrolled in school yesterday. Our Lady of Lourdes.

Obviously doesn't mean he's definitely coming back but the above is true at least.

HH.

6.) 16 Aug 2016 15:35:10
Would not want him, he wouldn't improve the team and unless he's grown up a lot, he'd be trouble especially with the promotion of amrhat new team.

7.) 16 Aug 2016 19:40:39
Never happen, BR likes his wide men to have out and out pace, which is why forrest is back in team. McGeady like GMS doesn't have that. rely on tricks t go past players but struggle to get away from men afterwards.

05 Aug 2016 21:49:37
BBC sport confirming Sinclair medical tomorrow lunchtime.

1.) 05 Aug 2016 22:45:19
another medical?

That must be his 6th!

we will wake up on monday and it will be like a scene out of Dallas …. Henke will still be here and we'll be 2-2 with Porto in the UEFA Cup and everything else didn't actually happen :)

{Ed007's Note - :=D

2.) 06 Aug 2016 00:07:20
well i would be happy with that.

3.) 06 Aug 2016 02:11:39
never got over him …still watch clips …. at least monthly …blessed to have him …. i know i know i know …i should move on but what a player eh?

4.) 06 Aug 2016 09:04:25
That's all very acceptable paradisewon. A true legend indeed, as long as you don't think about him when you're having a w**k! lol.

5.) 06 Aug 2016 14:31:08
Besty what would be wrong with that being an inclusive club and all that, a club like no other

As it so happens. I don't but I have a life size rubber doll with dreadlocks that I like to take to bed once in a while

That okay?

6.) 06 Aug 2016 16:20:23
If you shout 'Oh Henrik' at the crucial moment then I think you might need help! lol.

7.) 06 Aug 2016 17:14:45
Henrik
Henrik
Henriks the striker for me for me

Henrik
Oh henrik

Lalallalalalalal.

8.) 06 Aug 2016 19:04:23
I think you're obsessed! lol

That ain't healthy :-)

14 Aug 2018 10:05:53
And now we are losing Ntcham lol. Medias next headline.

"Celtic FC withdraw from league due to lack of players. PL and DD rub hands together however, pocketing a tidy 200m profit. Statement from club says "we will be back next season with the players we have signed in this season's development squad".

13 Aug 2018 21:10:02
ED, sorry in advance with this.

Cue hand grenade.

I don't think we will sign a single player of any significance with the official statement being we couldn't attract the quality we want and did not want to sign more fringe players. On top of that Boyata will be off (Not that that bothers most of us tbh) .

Secondly, we could win tomorrow, but we wont.

Sorry guys, just being realistic.

1.) 13 Aug 2018 21:35:01
If we defend like we have of late we have no chance and we have to show a bit of heart because we've crumpled away from home in some big games . but here's hoping we show up.

2.) 13 Aug 2018 21:40:07
Shug: who says we need to win tomorrow. 2-2.

{Ed007's Note - A couple of my mates have bet on that, Peter.}

3.) 13 Aug 2018 21:48:50
This is true Peter. However Greek stadiums are intimidating, noisy places. They will have a 12th man, they will sit in knowing we can't break them down now and its to be 34degrees in the shade. Its no happening.

{Ed007's Note - AEK are building a new stadium so the game is getting played in the 70k capacity Olympic Stadium, AEK's average attendance is less than 10,000.
The stadium will be like a ghost town tomorrow night.}

4.) 13 Aug 2018 21:50:36
How do you think it will go youself Ed? I think going over there and really going for it suits us. Hoping for an Anderlecht type performace. No fear just all out attack. We have better players.

{Ed007's Note - I'm going for a 2-1 win. McGregor to open the scoring and Hendry gets the second from a corner :)

5.) 13 Aug 2018 22:39:39
Ha ed I said today 2-1 with Hendry 1st scorer. He seems to get near quite a lot of the set plays that make it in to the box. He's due to connect just right with one.

6.) 13 Aug 2018 22:54:38
A goal from a corner? Is that even allowed for us? If we ever needed a victory it us tomorrow. I hope the team realise what it means for the club and fight for it. If they don’t we lose a fortune and the transfers will not be of the quality Rogers list no doubt contained. If we fall, so must Lawell. We are up against it because he isn’t half as good as his own PR when it comes to taking us up a level. He dithers and loses.

I’m confident we will give it a go. I’m not as confident we will succeed. I fear a sloppy defensive mistake will be our undoing. But if we play as we know we can, we can do it. It’s time to stand up and be counted for the manager and Rogers. Let’s hope they manage it.

7.) 14 Aug 2018 00:09:15
If we come out firing we will qualify. They looked honking at Celtic park and they don't score that many goals. We just need to cut out the crap dictate the game how we want to play it like we did away to Anderlecht and bury the many chances we will create. Sounds easy doesn't it?

8.) 14 Aug 2018 00:16:56
Celtic to score from a set piece Ed. That’s a brave shout.

9.) 13 Aug 2018 22:19:55
I may even stick some money on it mate. Hendry has been close a few times he could have had a couple last season in the midweek game v Dundee. Hope you are right.

10.) 14 Aug 2018 06:13:34
You do realise that the ball has to actually get in the box to score from a corner! Our corners are atrocious, and as bad I can remember them ever being! This would be a tough game to go into with a defence on top form, but to go in with the one we’ll have to play tonite gives me no confidence whatsoever! Hendry and simonovic aren’t good enough, it’s quite simple really! Hope I’m wrong and will gladly take pelters if I am, but just can’t see us coming through this with those 2 at centre half!

11.) 14 Aug 2018 08:58:25
Alright lads good luck in Greece make Scottish football proud but it will be dificult as for Rodgers as far as am concerned he is being shafted big time and boyata punt him get a new centre back and right ba k for the money.

12.) 14 Aug 2018 08:59:15
Also what about that lad at Dundee caulker a think.

13.) 14 Aug 2018 09:18:36
First goal for us is vital. If we go behind its going to be very difficult. Get first goal and its game on.

14.) 13 Aug 2018 22:19:48
Ed I would love big Hendry to get the winner for us. It is annoying with so many jumping on this Bhoys back. He has it, just needs time and more experience.

15.) 13 Aug 2018 22:26:39
Very specific ed 😀 have u heard anything about eddy being injured? Ma mate gets sent the teams all the time n it's always right, he said the boy that sends the teams has said edouard is out and griff will be starting.

{Ed007's Note - I've heard it from a few folk too, Steph but there's always these rumours before big games.}

16.) 14 Aug 2018 08:35:13
McGregor 1st goal 2-1 win is 60/ 1 Ed. Decent.

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

10 Aug 2018 12:21:37
Hows your head Ed. Mines is bouncing jusr reading it all.

{Ed007's Note - My head's fine but my troll blocking finger is very itchy today :-D

1.) 10 Aug 2018 12:51:26
Hear ed. What ever happened to Mickdundee. With this amount of moaning I thought he'd be around?

{Ed007's Note - He probably bored himself senseless.}

2.) 10 Aug 2018 13:09:28
😂😂😂.

{Ed007's Note - :-D

3.) 10 Aug 2018 13:16:24
I know his brerr Kev CrocodileDundee :-D.

4.) 10 Aug 2018 13:23:52
Ok your challenge for the day Ed. And this should also help lighten the mood of everyone on here.

With the exception of genuine news that would require a written response, all replies from you should be in the form of an appropriate GIF. Now i am sure youll enjoy that.

5.) 10 Aug 2018 14:41:54
Don't worry I'm still here =) , been a member for a few good years now and it will take a lot more than you Kev83 to get rid. I come on and read a few times every day, its good to see Kev83 still shoots down everyone that doesn't have the same opinion as him haha! Still having your cosy nights with Sinclair still? hahaha!

6.) 10 Aug 2018 15:01:16
Why would I want rid of you Mick?
Your comedy gold with your rants😂😂.

7.) 10 Aug 2018 15:10:48
Sorry if I don’t always agree with mediocrity unlike your good self 👍. Then again if it’s against anything you think is true or acceptable it’s a rant 😂.

8.) 10 Aug 2018 15:43:09
Jamie shame on u. Mick dundee was crocodile dundee. Hang your head in shame to one of the great films of all time lol. 😁.

9.) 10 Aug 2018 22:46:19
she had one of the best bodies of all time Linda Kozlowski.

09 Aug 2018 09:17:49
Ed. You have been pretty quiet. what's your take on the transfer scenarios. Like you i have always remained optimistic but I'm begining to have my doubts. And in that, like many, my biggest concern now is how BR is feeling.

{Ed007's Note - I'll wait and see what happens between now and the end of the month but signings like Izaguirre and Arzani aren't going to cut it.
Rodgers will be disappointed and frustrated but as usual it's been blown well out of proprtion by people, including some morons in our support, who thrive on anything negative about Celtic.}

1.) 09 Aug 2018 10:36:18
Not seen any of Arzani but hopefully same type of player Roberts is, that type of attacking player was badly missed last night in the second half.

{Ed007's Note - I don't see him as a first-team signing and I'd imagine Arzani will go into the development squad. If you listen to Warren Joyce talk about him he is a long way off being the player he could be or even being ready to play for us. According to Joyc, Arzani has picked up "bad habits" and "(Arzani) has got a lot of things he's got to improve on". He's also got a reputation for going to ground too easily.
He struggled to complete 90 mins in the A-League and his physique will need worked on before he can handle playing in the SPFL.
The way Rodgers spoke I don't think he sees Arzani in the first team squad either.}

2.) 09 Aug 2018 10:47:11
Ed as usual a very calm and balanced view. Wish more on this site like that.
Though I think Izzy (Who I was never a major fan of) is a smart signing.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not impressed with the Izaguirre signing at all, he was on a downward slide when he left and I dread to think what level he's at now.}

3.) 09 Aug 2018 11:04:28
Sorry ed got to disagree here I've watched arzani and he looks a fine player to me also his build I see is fine tbh with you we need more players who go tongroujd easy let me say Europe is full of them it's the norm ed and referees exapect it so the good clever players go tonground easily free kicks just outside the box ect and then boom GOAL one man who was great at it and a great player for us too was Stan petrov made his runs as soon as there was contact he used it to his teams advantage so again on arzani I hope he does get the chance to play in our first team and I think I might just be right on this bhoy.

{Ed007's Note - Id rather listen to his manager at Melbourne City but thanks for the input.}

4.) 09 Aug 2018 11:06:49
As a cover I can't really see a down side ed.
How many would be willing to come knowing 9 times out 10 they ain't going to play?

We know he'd walk in to any side other than ours so in SPFL he will do a job.
He will also settle quick.

{Ed007's Note - Scott Bain was happy to sign knowing he wouldn't be first choice, so was Hendry and neither of them are 32. How do you know Izaguirre would walk into any other SPFL team, when did you last watch him play?
And considering what he said when Hibs tried to sign him I'm guessing he didn't have as many options on the table as he expected.}

5.) 09 Aug 2018 11:43:13
Cheers for the input Ed, I’ve never seen him play and hadn’t read up on the boy either but doesn’t sound promising.

We badly need someone like Patrick Roberts, like we witnessed last night, there was no imagination at all, he would’ve thrived on that. Would love to have him back.

{Ed007's Note - Arzani is nothing more than another project.}

6.) 09 Aug 2018 11:46:38
Ed with the comments regarding Arzani, feel like we have been here before very recently with Musonda!

{Ed007's Note - The difference is that Rodgers wanted Musonda.}

7.) 09 Aug 2018 11:57:52
Agreed, looks like a baby lawwell daddy Lawwell deal.

{Ed007's Note - City contacted Celtic about taking Arzani.}

8.) 09 Aug 2018 12:13:03
Hopefully they will do the same with Paddy at 5pm.

11 Jul 2018 21:38:18
Your going home, your going home. England's going home.
😁.

1.) 11 Jul 2018 21:40:52
That was quick Ed lol.

{Ed007's Note - Cheeky sod! I've been online nonstop since just after 1 o'clock. I noticed you didn't make the live chat last night ya drunken bum......

2.) 11 Jul 2018 21:49:04
Big sigh of relief. Hopefully 50 more years of pain. Better football won in the end. My prayers were answered.

3.) 11 Jul 2018 21:48:29
Dude. I was struggling to bite my nails by kick off. I've had to make do with the highlights.

{Ed007's Note - Shameful from you lol

Ed did you just defend Gordon 😳
Actually that superstar midfielder we missed out on gifted the 1st in what could only be described as an Effy moment.

{Ed007's Note - I give Gordon praise when it's due so it's not my fault if he rarely deserves it. Thank God we missed out on McGinn, it sounds like we've dodged a bullet there, Aston Villa will probably sell him in January after last night, maybe even a free to Dundee to try and relaunch his career.}
