Seemingly Delaney has bn asked by the media and reports he left the country last week and his link to us. He replied with a smile that "yes sometimes when we get a couple of days off we travel".

1.) 16 Aug 2016 16:08:08
There isn't a sniff of it on tinterweb apart from some stories going back to February. Better not to listen to meaningless gossip, it gets some people all in a flutter! lol.

2.) 16 Aug 2016 17:25:15
Here's the story quote
Danish newspaper Tipsbladen spoke to Thomas Delaney ahead of their Champions League clash. They also as asked him about speculation linking him with Celtic - here is his reply

"Apropos " crazy world " . In transfervinduets last weeks blows it with rumors in the world of football, and when FC Copenhagen players last week had two days off, was gossiped about Thomas Delaney's " whereabouts " . In several places, it was reported that Delaney was spotted at Copenhagen airport on the way out of the country while his name still abound on the rumors in Scotland, where he again be associated with Celtic
What says Thomas Delaney to these speculations?

He responds with a poker smile :

- Yes, when you have two days off, there are many of us who travel .

He would not comment further. Now it is about Champions League.

3.) 16 Aug 2016 17:57:42
so because he smiled he's going to Celtic?

4.) 16 Aug 2016 18:34:56
Deduce what you want from it. Its a have a bit banter rumor page. What you expect mate.

5.) 16 Aug 2016 18:45:02
Smoke and mirrors mate, while he's under contract he won't comment on any other interested club, wait till the second legs by with and if there's something there I'm sure it will materialize.

6.) 16 Aug 2016 18:53:35
Shug, thanks for that translation. It's clear that he's on the verge of signing for us. There could be no other meaning! lol.

7.) 16 Aug 2016 19:26:50
Lets face it. The big name CM will be Stevie G 🤔.

8.) 16 Aug 2016 19:37:44
I've got a sneaky feeling Stevie G could be the marquee signing. makes sense, season loan, gets to move back into hs house near Liverpool, champs lge again. he loves the hoops too. doable imo

9.) 16 Aug 2016 19:39:25
Would he be eligible for CL.

10.) 16 Aug 2016 19:45:37
Is there actually substance to this if we get through to the CL then we'll sign a big name player? Sounds to me like a lot of people on here could be really dissapponted by the way! I know skinnybhoy has said its a cert that it will happen! But I wouldn't get my hopes up by the way! Hope it happens, but I'm always sceptical! Lol.

11.) 16 Aug 2016 20:27:37
I'm just thinking of potential big names that we could attract. Stevie G for me is a more realistic target. plus BR likes to sign players he trusts.

12.) 16 Aug 2016 20:36:00
Since when did singing Gerrard become marquee. He is done and hopefully remains in the good old US of A.

13.) 16 Aug 2016 21:05:26
schwienstieger keeps popping up everywhere, i first thought no thanks but if it is him what a statement of intent that is.

14.) 16 Aug 2016 21:44:06
Schwienstieger is under contract for 2 years and is on approx 275k a week. I think that we can put that to bed. He ain't taking a 95% pay cut, Man U ain't gona cover his salary on a loan.

15.) 16 Aug 2016 22:16:52
If he wants the dough he will go to America. Didn't fit with man u and his stock has dropped. His wage will be putting a few clubs off.

16.) 17 Aug 2016 09:19:25
Gerrard would be a fantastic signing IMO. Been there and done it in the CL. Brilliant leader. Does his best in training and often stays back after it has finished to practice even at his age. Will calm the younger players and show them a proper professional way to do things. A bit like what Kolo is doing just now which is doing wonders for our back 4.

17.) 17 Aug 2016 17:33:51
Delaney agrees to Join Bremen in january.

15 Aug 2016 20:42:04
Hope this one isn't true

Guys on KDS all flinging McGeadys name about. Seemingly has built a new house in Glasgow and his kid has started school up here

Really don't fancy it. PR is who we want on that position.

1.) 15 Aug 2016 21:15:39
stuff that.

2.) 15 Aug 2016 22:28:41
It's true about the new house, that's in bothwell however that means nothing the money he has now he could have 20 houses!

3.) 15 Aug 2016 23:26:41
He still has a house in thorntonhall and so it means nothing. Plus a certain Mr Lafferty also has a new home yards from me and he hasn't joined the club to the south west as far as I can gather.

4.) 16 Aug 2016 00:28:44
A chap I know from the pub is childhood friends with mcgeadys dad, and he told me ages ago that he (aiden) is quite the property collector. So a house in bothwell means hee haw really. He has dozens of properties including ones in Scotland and the ones he still owns when he was in Russia.

5.) 16 Aug 2016 13:32:08
First time poster.

His daughter was enrolled in school yesterday. Our Lady of Lourdes.

Obviously doesn't mean he's definitely coming back but the above is true at least.

6.) 16 Aug 2016 15:35:10
Would not want him, he wouldn't improve the team and unless he's grown up a lot, he'd be trouble especially with the promotion of amrhat new team.

7.) 16 Aug 2016 19:40:39
Never happen, BR likes his wide men to have out and out pace, which is why forrest is back in team. McGeady like GMS doesn't have that. rely on tricks t go past players but struggle to get away from men afterwards.

05 Aug 2016 21:49:37
BBC sport confirming Sinclair medical tomorrow lunchtime.

1.) 05 Aug 2016 22:45:19
another medical?

That must be his 6th!

we will wake up on monday and it will be like a scene out of Dallas …. Henke will still be here and we'll be 2-2 with Porto in the UEFA Cup and everything else didn't actually happen :)

{Ed007's Note - :=D

2.) 06 Aug 2016 00:07:20
well i would be happy with that.

3.) 06 Aug 2016 02:11:39
never got over him …still watch clips …. at least monthly …blessed to have him …. i know i know i know …i should move on but what a player eh?

4.) 06 Aug 2016 09:04:25
That's all very acceptable paradisewon. A true legend indeed, as long as you don't think about him when you're having a w**k! lol.

5.) 06 Aug 2016 14:31:08
Besty what would be wrong with that being an inclusive club and all that, a club like no other

As it so happens. I don't but I have a life size rubber doll with dreadlocks that I like to take to bed once in a while

That okay?

6.) 06 Aug 2016 16:20:23
If you shout 'Oh Henrik' at the crucial moment then I think you might need help! lol.

7.) 06 Aug 2016 17:14:45
Henriks the striker for me for me

Oh henrik

8.) 06 Aug 2016 19:04:23
I think you're obsessed! lol

That ain't healthy :-)

08 Apr 2017 18:03:15
Arguably the best signing this season.

22 Feb 2017 21:50:03
Was the upload to controversial Ed 😆.

{Ed033's Note - no it's not too controversial. It'll be up soon enough, thanks

1.) 23 Feb 2017 10:39:17
Looking forward to this shug. Hope it's not a let down.

{Ed033's Note - It's already up on the Sightings page as '3 Sevco Rangers supporters'.

2.) 23 Feb 2017 15:02:18
No bad shug. Would've loved to see them getting off that bus n realising what had happened. Daft huns, who'd have them.

08 Jan 2017 14:55:58
So now media saying our value on MD is 30m. I think he will be a superstar one day but if that kind of money gets offered, and BR has full control, then 30m plus whatever else we are going to have to spend would allow us to transform the the team into something really special.

1.) 08 Jan 2017 15:34:59
Would be massively dissappinted to see MD sold at the moment even though £30m is a lot of cash in anybody's language that could indeed be reinvested in the team. Still don't see the rush though as his value will only increase if he's as good as we think he is. As I've said before finding raw talent and giving it a stage at the highest level accepting we're a window to EPL has got to be our business model but we need to get the balance right in terms of getting the best out of them for a few seasons beforehand. For me timing needs to be based on making sure we keep the best of the best to qualify for CL or it's both false economy and demoralising for the fans. 🍀

2.) 08 Jan 2017 17:30:38
though we made 30 m off champs league, so we have 30 m to spend already

3.) 08 Jan 2017 18:32:16
We didn't make £30mil, maybe close too!
And if we do get £20/ 30mil for Dembele? That's not how it works and won't work lol
It's not all spends, only a fraction.

4.) 08 Jan 2017 18:50:34
The money might be tempting, but qualification for CL is priority for next season again, and that would be much more realistic with MD on our book than reinvesting his sale on new players that might not settle in as well as moussa has.

I hope we keep him until he at least earns his first cap (which can't be too far away) . Ideal time to sell would be after World Cup imo, where his stock will be at its highest. will we be able to resist until then?

5.) 08 Jan 2017 20:22:01
Dembele might be the difference between qualifying again, and getting another 30m of champions league money. Look at it like that. We have the power over the fee any club wants to pay

6.) 08 Jan 2017 20:27:48
We should also try for a higher sell on percentage if/ when he gets sold say 20/ 25% cos he will get an even bigger move later no doubt

7.) 08 Jan 2017 21:40:53
Devil's advocate but worth remembering that it was Griffiths that got us to the UCL group stages, not Dembele. Yes he had his (very important) penalty against Astana but LG scored against LRI, Astana home and away, and a double against HBS.

8.) 08 Jan 2017 22:54:04
Agree griffiths was the man who got us there, and is probably still the best finisher in Scotland. I just think over the last few months, especially in the bigger games, Dembele has stepped up and it's clear Rodgers sees him as the main forward.

For what it's worth, I think Griff is suited to most games we play and is very unfortunate to find MD in the form he was/ is when Leigh got injured

9.) 09 Jan 2017 12:56:47
We are a much better team with both Dembele and Griffiths available - as opposed to recent seasons where Ciftci, Scepovic and Stokes were possible options?
The whole point of appointing BR was to lift the club to where it should have been since 2012 if managed properly and decisions were in tandem with our huge advantage and regain our CL status and improve quality.
Obviously huge offers will be very tempting, but the manager must be given every chance to finish what he started and keep players that seem very happy to be here.

11 Dec 2016 22:39:01
What i want to see is us break the 100pts this year. We are on track and something i don't think has bn done since MON (ed I'm sure ull have the facts on this. Save me 15mins on google plz)

1.) 12 Dec 2016 13:00:00
Disagrees are hilarious. What the heck ill add one to myself.

2.) 12 Dec 2016 14:13:01
Lol. Love it guys. Can we see how many we can rack up just for shits n giggles.
Fyi on topic. 2001 - 2002. MON 103pts for the season.

3.) 12 Dec 2016 14:48:38
They are a total waste of time - and give morons who are too scared to comment a (sense of) voice.

Someone introduced themselves to the site a couple of days ago and people disagreed. Hilarious.

Cue many.

4.) 12 Dec 2016 15:14:04
soz poetic coulnt resist hh.

5.) 12 Dec 2016 15:39:23
Neither could a. Serves u right.

6.) 12 Dec 2016 19:05:24
I agree to disagree.

7.) 12 Dec 2016 20:34:31
i think folk who hit disagree should be forced to write why they disagree! you have to be logged in nowadays to do it so why not. Get the convo going rather than hit disagree, there's sometimes you come on here and its 0's all the way down then all of a sudden every single post has 1 disagree. oh crap I've given myself away there haven't i?

8.) 12 Dec 2016 20:11:10
Shug you'll be getting 100 disagrees at this rate.
100 points would be an awesome achievement- totally dominate.

I haven't looked on the dark side page but I'm betting the are all back onboard the overhyped express train.

I read this week that the change of tactics they employed against the jambos was an astute tactical decision and may continue against Hamilton!

Was this not long ball?

9.) 12 Dec 2016 21:53:59
they contribute nothing to the banter but for some reason the option still remains. Maybe Ed can enlighten us on what they bring to the table other.

{Ed001's Note - it keeps the blerts from spamming every post with one word replies.}

10.) 13 Dec 2016 10:54:17
Agree / Disagree - maybe some people can't put into words what they feel and prefer to click a quick response to a post? And maybe some people who post are a wee bit precious about getting a disagree, the ones who think there word is gospel?

11.) 13 Dec 2016 12:00:34
It's the equivalent of someone snorting, huffing and talking under their breath at the back of a room - but when you ask them what they said, they stare at their feet and say "nuffin".

I'd much rather a healthy debate, especially if someone disagrees with something I've said. A disagree does as much for me as an agree, which is to say not very much.

On a slightly different note, whilst I can understand the (albeit pathetic nature of a) silent disagree, especially in relation to a talking point, I really can't get my head around the type of person who disagrees with an RIP, a welcome, or some such post.

12.) 14 Dec 2016 19:28:29
I like the idea suggested above. Ed anyway to bump this and see if 100 diagrees is achievable.

13.) 16 Dec 2016 19:41:18
Union Jack . I don't think you would expect any of your posts to be gospel, more anti- gospel .

01 Nov 2016 22:03:39
Well that was painful.

Yet again we show how poor our CM is in a European tie. Armstrong was a disaster, McGregor and Henderson for the time they were on were just as shite. Big Tam really can't cut it at this level. Broony to be fair did not to bad. If any one of them could finish we could have won that tonight imo. We need international level of class in there if we are ever going to do anything.

Moving on, Sinclair showing good movement and ability as we have come to expect and our "40m" striker still looking the part at this level so well done to them. Forrest is nothing but a lazy wee bastard who can't perform at this level going forward either. Hope Rogers is going to finally accept using a loanee in PR is the far better option.

Defending, we done no bad imo. Rogic and Forrest to blame for goal not picking up the runners. Wee izzy did ok imo and although it pains me to say. Gordon minimized his mistakes to a few lousy passes but did make some big saves today.

Doesnt help matters Man Schitty beating Barcelona either. A well hoo hum. Another pint it is then.

1.) 01 Nov 2016 22:11:43
Same team that outplayed us couple weeks ago and we held our own against them in there own backyard and you found that painful?

Must have watched a totally different game, either that or we have totally different expectations.

{Ed007's Note - And with a makeshift defence....

2.) 01 Nov 2016 22:12:54
Shug hiw many pints u had broony was outstanding and why does it pain u to say a celtic player did well Gamboa and izzy played well sinclair, dembele, paddy when he came on all played well Armstrong ran his heart out careless in possession but no lack of effort, very unlucky not to get something imo.

3.) 01 Nov 2016 22:13:41
So ROgic can't cut it at this level?

Have you forgotten how good he was against Man City?

If you actually studied the play in the last 2 games you would have noticed that BMG had obviously identified him as our main play maker and snuffed him out.

4.) 01 Nov 2016 22:29:26
Guys. Wake up and smell rhe rosies. And mally, obviously not as many as you seeing how you can't read. I said broony did ok, it was the rest that was poor. I also complimented our defence and keeper.

Games are won and lost in CM. If anyone thinks ours has what it takes you need to put down the crack pipe and go get some fresh air.

Man City, yeah we played great against them when their defence was leaking like a used tea bag. They have been shite since that game (not seen highlights from tonight before any attack dogs want to pounce) and let's no celebrate that performance until we see how we fair down there.

Just ti clarify seeing how i was asked after a clear statement before. Rogic ain't giod enough at this level neither are the rest of the CM except our captn.

5.) 01 Nov 2016 22:33:36
Sorry missed one.

It pains me to compliment Gordon because i'm normally peering thru the spaces inbmy fingers when he's under pressure, don't get me wrong i'm exstatic the boybhas played a good one the night and i'm pleased to be put in my place for once. But his jersey is 2nd on my list behind a CM. So, off on a tangent there, to answer the question. It pains me cause i hope these rare decent performances don't make people think we don't need a new keeper, cause we do.

6.) 01 Nov 2016 22:33:55
Rab the boys had 1 to many pints. No got a clue what he's talking about. Great performance from the lads especially when missing 3 of our starting Defenders. Can't complain. Well only move forward give it a few year and we'll be back.

7.) 01 Nov 2016 22:46:00
Ken. Do you struggle with reading or something. Why point out we are missing our defence. The defending was spot on tonight. They and the keeper were at no fault in the goal, runner not being picked up in midfield was the problem.

So basically what your saying is I am wrong and that this Celtic CM collection is good enough to compete against the giants of Europe. Look inba mirror and say it out loud to yourself, then try and not smirk at what your hearing.

Lol. And don't get me started on the last 5-10mins. We knew at the start a draw was not enough yet we start trying to play possession with back and sideways passes. Man o man lol. Right onto the halves I think.

8.) 01 Nov 2016 23:09:49
Shug, sober up, are you sure you were watching the same game as we were? Hail Hail.

9.) 01 Nov 2016 23:45:02
Nobody is saying the current celtic team is good enough at this level but what the majority are saying is the draw was a decent result with a much better performance.

You seem to contradict yourself, if the team is as bad as you say it is then you must be delighted with the result. Instead your ripping into them for what seems to be just for the sake of it.

10.) 02 Nov 2016 08:01:35
I can accept that statement. I agree it was a much much better performance and result than our previous encounter. But to say i am pleased with the performance i can not. MF was all over the place. Loose balls, bad passing, heavy touches, poor first touches, not tracking runners, greedy pointless shooting. That's what i was watching. We were chasing shadows again at times.
Listen guys, the team has my support. Bredan has my confinence. They played thier best for the most part. What I'm saying is that that's just not good enough. Armstrong. McGregor and Henderson won't be the quality we need. Not next season or the next. Rogic even now doesn't have the legs. if we really want people to fear parkhead again we need better. Its a simple and obvious thing to see. Maybe u came across a bit heavy handed but it doesn't change the facts. Read other posts, I'm not the only one.

11.) 02 Nov 2016 08:10:10
@shugmckie - sadly for you, you are destined to be forever disappointed. The reason I say that is I know how much it would cost to have a midfield who can compete with the big guns of the CL.

Anyway, I am proud of my team last night, we got the ball down and tried to play attacking football. Yes there were times we could have made better decisions with the ball or showed a bit more composure when making the final pass but I won't dwell on that.

What we need to remember is this is the first year of cl for Gordon, gamboa, Armstrong, rogic, Sinclair, McGregor, Roberts, Henderson and dembele and most of them are still young and have a lot to learn at this level.

12.) 02 Nov 2016 08:46:52
Wow, some of you need a reality check. The progress we have made domestically and in Europe is very good. Br has had one window to improve the side which he has, the football is a lot more attractive than last season and he's already talking about moving forward and improving the side in the coming seasons. Borussia spent 26 million on two players alone in the summer. Yes in Europe, we aren't as consistent as we would like to be but the two points we have so far would be two points we wouldn't have got in the last few seasons . ( not that we would have been in the champions league) . We have easily the toughest group we could have got as well. I appreciate everyone saying we are short in midfield for this type of challenge, but br said the only disappointment from the last window was we never got the creative midfielder he wanted, so he knows what we need as well. To bring these top quality midfielders to Scotland is not easy because if they are that good they have other options than us probably with higher wages and a more competitive league. Rome wasn't built in a day and I'd much rather be where we are now, than where we have been in the last few seasons.

13.) 02 Nov 2016 08:44:49
Shug they played good possession football in the last 10 mins and got the big chance with mcgregor or would you prefer them to lump it up the park and give possession away as what normally happens well done celtic and wwll done BR.

14.) 02 Nov 2016 20:45:54
Actually mally aye i would have.

Good luck to him. Nice guy, and Hibs possibly better suited to his current level of ability etc. Will probably do a job for them. Given that's he is away in summer and needs to play to be seen i wish him the best of luck.

I agree, I would even take a couple of million off the asking price if they were prepared to pay upfront and loan him back for a season. Would be a great bit of business, and let's face it we could have no ill feeling if the kid wanted to go to Real Madrid.

Aye its all over the tinterweb. Might be something in this, gutted to see him go but 30-40m that's a no brainer. Think about the reinforcements that would buy (provided big pedro doesn't back pocket it)
