Really hope no one is going to give this Van der Vaart rumour a moment's thought. A mate tried the "good bit of experience" line with me and I lost it a wee bit. If we can get this young forward for a decent price and there's not too much of that 3rd party nonsense underlying it fair enough. Otherwise will be happy enough with exits for passengers.
1.) 22 Jan 2017 13:24:04
Commons type player can't see it happening Rodgers likes workers
2.) 22 Jan 2017 16:16:45
Would like to see that Nagbe and the young Nigerian signed. And punt off Ambrose, Boyata, Ciftci, Commons and Biton
3.) 22 Jan 2017 20:50:14
I'll be happy to sign whoever Brendan wants.
03 Jan 2017 16:56:14
In press that we may be interested in Thulani Serero from Ajax. Don't really know much about him but sounds like a reasonably versatile MF. Not sure that he would be better than Brown or Armstrong, would hope if he did come in it would be end of Bitton. Actually think that with KT coming back and Gamboa starting to look good that I'm not really sure where we need to look before Summer. Would hope, like others have suggested that we will prioritise unloading the many passengers in our squad and only signing anyone if an amazing deal or unearthing of a gem. Still hope we can secure PR and would love St Juste with Kolo likely to go in Summer and Efe/ Boyata top of the exit list. Sure the nonsense links will start in next coupla days.

Rodgers holds talks with senior players. Wonder if Commons is one of them. Know what I would want to say to him.
1.) 02 Jun 2016 20:02:00
He is a senior player.
Would think Rogers will give everyone a clean slate to be honest.
But he will have an idea who will fit his planned style of play.
2.) 02 Jun 2016 20:13:33
Daviebhoy I don't get why some Celtic fans are so down on Kris Commons, in his 5 years at the club he has been probably our most naturally gifted player and his ability to pick a pass and goal scoring record from midfield has been second to none in Scottish football, after scoring 32 goals in the previous season Ronny Deila came in and decided to play players who were not nearly as good in his position which if we are honest was not good for the team and Kris became angry and disalussioned when he did get into the team he was often "scapegoated" and subbed by RD when others were playing worse, I don't condone his outburst at the manager and JC when subbed in Molde which was clearly borne from frustration, but for fans to slag him off after what he has done for the club is a big unfair in my opinion when there are a lot worse players than him at the club .
3.) 02 Jun 2016 21:08:32
hopefully lawwell knows who the disruptive element's are and let's Rodger's know and he gets rid we don't need that type of player i. e commons Forrest stokes and anyone else that caused problems for Ronny cause if they can do it to Ronny they could do it to him.
4.) 02 Jun 2016 22:18:19
Forrest has been messing with Allan's head and Commons is a bad influence in dressing room he will not be wedged into Rogers team does not fit fast play which will be played. Biton will also be punted.
5.) 02 Jun 2016 22:39:23
Drewzyboy commons is at best an average player n we r best rid of him, he is also a troublemaker with an ego and not as good as he thinks he is. Doesn't work hard, not a team player, greedy n hits shots from anywhere, when a better pass is on and half the time his shots r off target. He downed tools under Lenny n did the same under Rd. For me him n Forrest should be first out the door. I would prefer rigid, McGregor, Christie or Henderson to start in a forward position, much more mobile and offer more to the team, along with Roberts. Hail hail.
6.) 03 Jun 2016 09:59:36
Commons is fat, lazy and by some accounts scheming too. His only interest is in himself as he showed at Derby and Forest. If The Rangers had more cash I'd be unsurprised to see Mr Celtic become Mr The Rangers.
7.) 03 Jun 2016 11:25:45
Yeah wouldn't surprise me at all, the only reason he actually signed for Celtic was because they went into admin after agreeing deal with Derby before it fell through. Stubbs wants him at Rotterham though.
16 Mar 2016 07:19:38
Mitchell djyks rumour doing the rounds again. No idea where this comes from but would imagine we have zero chance of him coming in. Would be an immense addition.
1.) 16 Mar 2016 09:59:36
The LB who knocked us back for Ajax in the summer? Why would we want him unless Ronny is planning on leaving out Tierney?
2.) 16 Mar 2016 10:38:45
What's wrong with two good player competing for the left back position kevbhoy?
3.) 16 Mar 2016 12:40:10
I never said there was anything wrong with that Kev83, but he's not going to come here and play second fiddle to KT and the fans would go berzerk if the best young player we've had in years was dropped without putting a foot wrong. He's also being linked with a £10m move from Ajax to Leicester so there's also that.
4.) 16 Mar 2016 12:50:32
If that's the way we work then we will never sign anot her left back.
This guy is a no go in my eyes because his value has rocketed since the summer but we do never a good left back to cover and compete with young KT.
We should have at least 2 good players for every position at our club.
5.) 16 Mar 2016 13:08:37
6.) 16 Mar 2016 13:55:00
I think Izzy is more than good enough to be our other LB. I get where you're coming from but Dijks didn't want to come here when he was guaranteed to start so there's no way he'd consider it now. We aren't in a position to have a Dutch international squad player on the bench.
7.) 17 Mar 2016 11:23:34
Izzy your having a laugh
The guy is as bad as ambrose
8.) 17 Mar 2016 19:18:06
Shows how much you know Kev.
9.) 18 Mar 2016 09:54:20
He's a defender that can't defend.
His positional sense is rubbish
Tackling is poor
Poor in the air
Ye he's not bad running forward but his crossing is hit and miss
One good season he has had and that was all about how he attacked not defended.
10.) 18 Mar 2016 13:57:35
As I said, shows how much you know Kev.
02 Mar 2013 09:51:17
Grant Holt tells Celtic to forget about signing him. Cheers grant, you just took that one of my to do list.
1.) As Andy Roxburgh would say you can't sit at the table unless your asked.
Sorry not for me strikers at Celtic are much better.
2.) Sounds like someone is trying to make it happen by coming out with his comment in MARCH. we don't want u, will never want u. your not good enough for celtic fc. Thanks for your interest grant, but that's where it ends, will see u in championship next season son!
18 Jan 2017 10:14:23
Looks like we will have another 2 weeks of non-stories. The Portuguese boy seems to be a 2+2=5 and the KT story is obviously getting momentum from the Sevconians at the Redtop back page depts. Like others have said, the great thing is that we seem to be in a position where we can say no to 10 mill deals, KT is as good as majority of full backs I have seen in EPL but with a great shot on him too. Fingers crossed that we get PR for another year's loan as that would be as good as signing him anyway. While there is talk of a need for a RB, I think the only other essential position for now is a Central Defender if we ship Efe. Anything else would be gravy as this current batch of players will only get better after the break and should have more than enough in the locker to smash the CL qualifiers. Put the league to bed, rest the starters as much as possible and allow the likes of GMS, Christie and Ajer more game time. Would love to see the first 11 getting enough league time to tick over and then bring out big guns for every Scottish Cup game. Can't wait for Sunday, tired of poking the other lot with a stick. Seems unfair to take the piss out of them when they do a good enough job of it themselves 😂
1.) 18 Jan 2017 11:43:58
I think the Hogmanay game really shone a light on Lustig's weaknesses when he's up against a winger with pace, which at 30 is no disgrace, especially with the injuries he's had. The club are trying to tie him down to a new deal so maybe he will become a CB with a new RB brought in to challenge Gamboa? I'd be happy enough with that. I'd also like to see a new right winger, or Roberts playing ahead of Forrest.
2.) 18 Jan 2017 19:02:14
2 year deal for lustig.
3.) 18 Jan 2017 19:57:45
I'm very happy to see Lustig get the deal. Loyalty needs rewarding. He's been and still we be a great servant to the club. My only criticism of him this year is that he should have punched the feckn head off that fud Namar 🍀
4.) 18 Jan 2017 20:13:15
i would have gave him the 2 year deal just for his beachball on the head celebration against the huns jfp lol.
5.) 18 Jan 2017 20:40:12
Agreed JB67-I love how people from other lands can become green and white through and through! 😀👍🍀
14 Jan 2017 08:57:37
Taverneir is still saying the gap is closing. I have never pretended to be an expert on football but I thought I knew how a league competition works. Could someone please explain this one to me.
1.) 14 Jan 2017 10:10:28
Read that also Daviebhoy77.he thinks they have definitely closed the gap on us. deluded mate😂😂
2.) 14 Jan 2017 10:32:53
Dead easy, he's a moron bud that's all there is to it
3.) 14 Jan 2017 11:04:47
Seemingly I've been struggling to read league tables for a while too Davie. They might close the gap by getting him out the side though. Can't wait to see Scotty Sinclair tear him another one.
4.) 14 Jan 2017 11:12:26
Tav can't even close the gap on Sinclair never mind Celtic
5.) 14 Jan 2017 11:14:07
Utter tripe, blatant free advertising for their haggis hun fest. I would never ever buy ANY newspaper now. Pure guff written by hasbeen hacks.
6.) 14 Jan 2017 11:20:00
Thanks for clarificating that bhoys ;) For a minute I thought that the SFA may have introduced a "points for getting less skelped top up system". Deluded right enough.
7.) 14 Jan 2017 12:13:11
Maybe he should consider a career in stand up cos this guy's funny as fkuc
8.) 14 Jan 2017 12:13:41
Maybe there's no really a break and the points are getting awarded to other teams because we're no turning up? 🍀
9.) 14 Jan 2017 12:17:17
Same pish different player
Almost like a PR firm is telling them what to say
10.) 14 Jan 2017 12:28:25
Reminds me of the Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail 😂
11.) 14 Jan 2017 12:27:15
Morons like this really some up that mob as a so called club! The gap gets closer they could have gave us a doing in the last game, theyre deluded from the boardroom to the pitch! Comments like this just make it all the sweeter at how far on and off the pitch we actually are from this embarrassment of a so called club!
I honestly just wish they would go back to where they belong and that's Scottish footballs lower leagues because I'm sick of the sight of them already! I genuinely thought I was looking forward to playing a team from ibrox, and as much as I enjoy pumping them every time we play it really ain't worth listening to there utter garbage on a daily basis!
Sorry for the rant lads but I'm sick to back teeth of that lot!
12.) 14 Jan 2017 12:58:52
Brilliant Daviebhoy, that's exactly how il see it from now on. "its only a flesh wound. get back here"
13.) 14 Jan 2017 14:16:48
Maybe he is talking about the gap between Celtic in Dubai and Sevco in Germany as that gap is closer than the one in the league
14.) 14 Jan 2017 14:36:16
They scary thing is Sevco, their fans and the journalists who print this propaganda actually believe it 😂😂
15.) 14 Jan 2017 15:30:41
you play for ragers
some medjit sticks a mic under your nose and says "is the gap closing blah blah blah. "
you cannot say (all of the above) no we are pish, I can't mark Sinclair, the gap is huge etc - the knuckledragging lynch mob would be waiting for you.
So you say " " what he said - its all lies
Same as when they ask any of our guys - Treble, Treble, Treble - we say yeah of course we can - but in truth we can have an off day against anyone in the cup.
They (medjits) set them up. They (the players) take the bait - and then the Medjit either say I WAS RIGHT - GENIUS or THAT PLAYER IS A FUD BECAUSE HE SAID.
16.) 14 Jan 2017 16:10:20
Brilliant Daviebhoy, Tis but a scratch lol
17.) 14 Jan 2017 17:07:48
He may have meant, the gap is now close enough, that they can now see us using the Hubble telescope!
04 Jan 2017 16:36:57
Hope this Eboue signing signals the end for Bitton. Sounds like a prospect too.
1.) 04 Jan 2017 18:12:22
Bitton has been excellent in small bursts but never consistent enough to cement a place. He definitely lacks heart and fight when the chips are down though, and that doesn't wash with Celtic fans.
2.) 04 Jan 2017 18:46:32
Bitton has shown real quality. But the difference between a good player and a great one is of course consistency. Not sure he has the energy or mentality for what BR is trying to do.
3.) 04 Jan 2017 21:05:40
Would be sad to see Biton go as on his day can be a great player, but think his time is slowly coming to an end.
30 Dec 2016 19:12:48
While he has been off the boil of late, I reckon MD whether he starts or not will have a major influence on the game the morra. Even when not scoring, he is a real handful for defenders and I think he will be totally up for the kind of physical game they are likely to bring. Can't wait :)
1.) 30 Dec 2016 19:36:44
That would be my reasoning for opting with MD, if they don't both start. I noticed they reverted to a back 3 with wing-backs in their last game. Perhaps in preparation for us? That would be a big mistake I think. When our forward 3 get a chance against their CBs, we're in.
29 Dec 2016 10:40:00
What a lovely evening, met whole team and BR for pics with family and then spent a lot of the night talking to big JVOH (apparently still a regular) and Mr Bertie Auld who was amazing with the kids. Thought Christie had a good game, Sinky less so. Will be putting money on Armstrong to score on Saturday, will be very surprised if we do not pump them. Family won't ever forget what the club did for us yesterday and cheers for all the lovely messages on here too.
1.) 29 Dec 2016 11:29:07
Great stuff Davie-glad to hear you and the family had a ball. Hope Erin did too. And well done to the club like no other 🍀.
2.) 29 Dec 2016 11:47:23
When hard times hits us, its when we come through the darkness, when we see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Enjoy the family times even more so mate, because we never know.
anyway happier thoughts . a good win last night, now it`s time to hump the Huns at the CrumpleDome.
3-1 Celtic, a pen for them and a red card for Garner.
3.) 29 Dec 2016 11:17:29
Glad to hear the family and you had a good time.
4.) 29 Dec 2016 13:42:43
Daviebhoy 77.great lyrics brilliant tune.
At the end of a storm.
there`s a golden sky
only problem is can`t remember where i`ve heard it before!
glad to hear the family had a great night, hope Erin enjoyed the light show in 67 mins.
my boy loves it, started taken a big fecking torch to the game now.
14 Jan 2017 11:22:03
He's a lovely bloke and while not without flaws in his defending he has been a great servant to club. Met him myself and was struck by what a lovely bloke he was, especially with the kids.
14 Jan 2017 09:03:45
Despite not playing much, Roberts looks pretty settled at Parkhead. I'm still doubtful about a permanent deal but wouldn't see it as completely out of the question. Him, Eboue and a Centre Half coming in and a lot of the deadwood going out would be an amazing window's business.
15 Dec 2016 18:21:39
Losing him in Summer would have been awful when we see what him and Erik do back there. Losing him in January would be unthinkable.
15 Dec 2016 07:29:32
Surely no chance.
08 Dec 2016 22:06:04
Would love to see it happen, would not have dreamed of it being a possibility when he signed but if he did, I reckon it would be a massive coup.
21 Jan 2017 17:42:18
McKay is a good player but so is my mate Ryan, if I get a twitter rumour to go viral about a 6 mill bit for him then he must be better than KT. Wow!
17 Jan 2017 21:20:02
17 Jan 2017 19:27:53
17 Jan 2017 17:39:23
John Stones £50 million says it all really.
16 Jan 2017 20:06:31
100% agreed mate. Welcome on board, great laugh this site.
