Ed what’s the news on Brown do you really think BR doesn’t know what’s going on?

{Ed007's Note - Yes.}

That’s strange surely Brown would’ve spoke to his manager about his intentions?

{Ed007's Note - What would they talk about, wages or how many years Brown wanted on a new deal? So that's us got contract negotiations added to the ever growing list of things managers don't do.}

I think Brown should be allowed to mull over his contract, as I’m sure all will agree he has earned the right to do so.

{Ed007's Note - Brown probably doesn't know himself what he's doing at this stage, it's a huge decision for him and his family.
If - and I mean IF as it's just speculation - there was going to be any change in Brown's squad status (maybe not guaranteed to start etc) the footballing department (Rodgers) will have informed Peter Lawwell (and I'd imagine Rodgers would also have spoken to Brown himself to layout how he sees Brown's place in the squad as he winds down his playing career whilst keeping the team at the top) and then Peter Lawwell will put an offer on the table.

Thanks Ed. I was just thinking that surely everyone envloved with Brown be it manager player Lawwell will by all now know where they all stand and it be now a case of decision time?

It's a big call for Broony. Give the lad space. If he goes then he'll be doing it for financial reasons only, if he stays then it'll be an emotional decision. The very fact that we have made it difficult for him is a compliment in itself because none of us can say which is the bigger influence and we don't know for sure how we'd react if we were in the same position. As much as it pains me to say it I hope he moves on. He’s the weak link in the midfield now.

Whitey Brown still has a large part to play I hope he stays.

He has the option of getting involved in a new club in the Aussie League. This opens up huge opportunities for him when his career is over as a player, or he can stay and captain the club to the ten, though he may not be starting every week when that comes round.
I'ts a huge decision to make and he deserves the time to think it over.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly mate and he's got a wife and kids to think about too so it's not purely a footballing decision, it's a massive lifestyle choice for him and his family to make. It's not as if he's just going down to the Pub League or the Championship.}

Money won't be the motivation for broony. It will be the lifestyle. Waking up to sunny weather most of the time going in his pool after the kids get back from school walking along the beach and taking it easy, just having a chilled out life. I for one wouldn't wish him bad if he chose to go he has his wife and kids to think about too. good luck to him whatever his choice is, Hail, Hail.
