Boyata - Lyon

Simunovic - Fenerbache

If both left, what a job we have getting replacements in.

Kev T

1.) 20 Jul 2018 01:46:11
Funny thing is, if both left and we replaced them with nobody then we would probably not even see a difference lol.

2.) 20 Jul 2018 09:09:18
They both have money 15 million each please 😂.

Hey Ed

Is it true Liam Miller has passed away?

Kev T

{Ed007's Note - No he hasn't. Just sick b@stards on social media making up rubbish.}

1.) 24 Jan 2018 20:18:00
Unbelievable, people in the world need to get a grip.

{Ed007's Note - Ghouls, Kev, sick twisted ghouls.}

Vile horrible creatures.

5.) 25 Jan 2018 00:56:45
What is the bloody point? What do you get out of doing that? Booody awful!

6.) 25 Jan 2018 15:32:07
Fake news. disgusting to even say about people passed away etc when total fake . same as those who posted about novo heart attack on sites.

Does not matter whether you played for rangers, celtic, aberdeen, hearts, hibs, ross county etc. these people who hide behind fake names on there computer too scared to say it face to face to anyone are bad people and bring there own decent clubs fans down on the same brush yes it is a minority but it tarnishes the full club and supporters from whatever club they support it about time every decent fan from all clubs stood together to get rid of these bad ones out of our game

Good luck all the best to liam and novo.

Celtic saying out for 2 months.

4.) 28 Oct 2016 22:43:09
He is a young fit guy, will be back as good as new .
HH. KT.

5.) 29 Oct 2016 02:13:24
Awful news. I'm gutted.
Who did it?

6.) 29 Oct 2016 08:30:48
Big Mental test for the bhoy.
He is a stand out performer who loves a slide challenge, hopefully he comes back with the same confidence to take on a tackle.

Is this his first big injury?
All the best For the recovery KT.

7.) 29 Oct 2016 10:14:27
Don't think it is his first big injury. Sure he broke his leg a couple seasons ago.

8.) 29 Oct 2016 15:10:29
Cheers kev
Roll on a full recovery then!

So ave heard loads of people say the mystery player is the one and only Zlatan!!

Comments from player and club would indicate he may well leave.

And of all he players mentioned he is actualy a regular goal scorer.

Can't see it myself but wow if it was.

Kev T

1.) 17 Aug 2015 22:28:57
Would have been hilarious if he had joined us and put his ex team and where it all started for him in football Malmo to the sword haha. They idolise him and have a suite in their stadium named after him and everything.

Personally I still think the mystery striker will be Soriano if we progress to the CL Group Stages.

2.) 17 Aug 2015 22:41:22
On the other hand there may be something in the Zlatan one,in a recent interview ,when asked where his next move would be he said it may be surprising, and he is already on record as saying he would one day like to play for Celtic

3.) 17 Aug 2015 23:38:20
Lol Zlatan joining Celtic! Never going to happen!

4.) 18 Aug 2015 00:13:13
Ha - I stuck a fiver on Zlatan weeks ago at 50 - 1. Don't really beleive it but it's nice to dream.

Could you imagine if the board came out with £10m signed Zlatan, Grosskreutz and got Denayer back. Insisting big VVD stay till Jan. We would finally have a team for the CL that's not just there to make up the numbers and should be more than capable of last 16 possibly 8.

Call me mad but I don't think the above players are out of reach for the club and deals could be done if the board made them happen. But let's face it Never going to happen but a great fantasy. Lol.

5.) 18 Aug 2015 11:47:41
We all grumble about players coming to Celtic to top up their pensions but I'd gladly take a 36/37 year old Zlatan in a couple of years if he was willing to come just to tick it off the list. He's something else.

08 Aug 2018 22:18:16
Well, I don’t know what to say, played ok at times but lacklustre up front which seems the same story every time we step up a level.

I can’t see us getting a positive result in Athens, this leading to no major signings and I’m sorry but as much as a treble treble is great it’s not an improvement - progress in Europe is our benchmark for improvement

I’m just deflated and next week will be horrible if we can’t get through.

Kev T

1.) 08 Aug 2018 22:28:26
We don't have a squad capable of operating at this level. Greek football is about 8 places above the SPL so we know we are in for a difficult evening. Saying that we did ok, were the better team but our away record would suggest we are going out.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 22:28:29
Fear the worst now Kev T. The last few weeks have been a shambles on the transfer front. We have not bolstered the squad in anyway.

I am becoming more and more concerned about Rodgers hanging about if he isn’t going to be backed by the board.

Rodgers management and the squad he’s developed has made the club millions yet they don’t support him in trying to land his main target.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 22:29:48
Why can’t you see us getting a result in Athens? We dominated almost all of the game and tbh, apart from the it goal, which was our fault, I don’t remember them really having any chances.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 22:39:01
We will get through this, in Brendan we trust. 10 men are hard to beat. Just ask the huns.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 22:46:28
Kevbhoy they were down to 10 men from the 57 min. How many chances did we create in that time. Passing the ball over and back in front of their defence without creating any clear chances. Not sure that is dominating to me. Maybe only possession.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 22:49:43
Gedceltic your right bro chin up we’re still in this.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 22:50:49
Kevbhoy, our away record is very poor. So can’t see why we would get a victory in Athens?

8.) 08 Aug 2018 23:02:19
There is nothing to suggest we will win over there, they hardly ever concede, we will concede at least two, because whoever plays at the back will make mistakes as always at this level away.

9.) 08 Aug 2018 23:24:52
It’s difficult to break down a team who park 10 men in and around the box. I agree our away record isn’t the best but I’m refusing to be doom and gloom like some of you. I saw enough tonight to convince me that we’re a better team than them. We haven’t conceded an away goal in the previous 2 games so hopefully good things come in threes.

10.) 09 Aug 2018 00:29:13
Disappointing day yes. However bit of an overeaction from a lot of fans on here. Is the overeaction due to a flood of signings over by. Is this because we missed out on a player who wasn't bothered if he came to us or not and wanted guaranteed starting spot, no harm yo McGinn. . Nobody is getting this. you need to earn it. We are still in Europe and have and tricky task ahead but we should remain confident instead of wetting the bed. We have had better days and the office for sure. If drawing 1 1 at home and not signing a player who wouldn't start or immediately improve the starting 11 is that then I will gladly take that. Oh and the transfer windows is still open.

08 Aug 2018 18:17:57
Something ain’t right here

BR says he wants quality

So if rumours are true then why we looking at

Denayer
Izaguirre
McGinn - will be a sub unless Brown gets injured

Arzani - obviously signed on potential

Where is the quality in any of these signings if not one of them would get in the starting 11.

Kev T

1.) 08 Aug 2018 18:27:49
Could have said same about edouard last season kev.
But ultimately we don't know how good a player will be till he's playing for us.
The Izzy situation is different. We only need back up for LB because we ain't going to get a better one than Teirney.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 18:33:40
Are you trying to say you'd starter jozo or Hendre before denayer?

3.) 08 Aug 2018 18:44:31
I'd start my wife before him.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 18:55:11
Denayer - seen him at Sunderland and he was awful - not sure how it’s been with Galatasaray but they don’t want to sign up other than a loan again so not sure what to make of that.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 19:00:30
Kev T at Sunderland there were a few factors that hindered denayer.
The club was in turmoil
He was continually played out of position
He had injuries
He done ok in Turkey picking up a league medal and winning a cup.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 19:17:30
If virgil made denayer look good.

25 Jul 2018 19:17:54
Any truth on these comments ed, a mate posted it - surely a load of rubbish

Interesting comments from Rodgers on BBC scotland saying he just works with the players the club gets. No role in targeting and bringing in players.

Kev T

{Ed007's Note - I never heard/read it.}

15 Jul 2018 16:53:22
Just reading some comments from BR

He would have liked more business done by now - think most of us would agree with this

Christie and Allan - can’t give them game time they’ll need - quite rightly so they where never good enough in the first place so let them go and play elsewhere.

I’d take McGinn over the two of them and I’ll be honest I don’t think he’d get in the first team

Defence must be strengthened especially full backs so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Kev T

1.) 15 Jul 2018 18:16:36
I read his comments as saying that Christie and Allan were both good enough to play for Celtic. I haven't seen the pre-season games, but that seems to be what the lads are saying too.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 18:33:19
Christie will get game time but there are better players ahead of him. Not so sure about allan.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 18:37:07
I very much doubt he would say they aren’t but he isn’t saying these things about players he wants to keep

Reading between the lines that both will be off, seen all our pre season games and neither has impressed me one bit to warrant a squad place.

4.) 15 Jul 2018 19:01:54
BR being diplomatic maybe, as you say Kev. I know Allan ain't the answer but I do see that he brings something we've been looking for for a long while, albeit in small measures. Christie is maybe too good to be a marginal player at this point, but I'd like to see if he can scrap for a spot, and what might come of it.

5.) 15 Jul 2018 21:57:36
Think he might want to bring McGinn in, so as to link up with Allan in midfield,

6.) 15 Jul 2018 23:48:04
I honestly thought Christie would have done a turn for us, but unfortunately for him, there is better players in front of him.

7.) 16 Jul 2018 06:58:21
He would have liked to see us further along with transfers. Every single season this is said. I understand there are problems that arise with transfers but surely targets are lined up throughout the season before. It seems like McGinn is the only transfer being worked on, and they are taking the absolute p**s to get the deal over the line.

8.) 16 Jul 2018 10:01:52
Alot of players will wait till after the world Cup before they move as there stock will rise if they have a good tourney. And the players who weren't at the world Cup will wait and see what clubs come in for them as a lot of clubs won't be able to sign there top targets so will move on down the list.

9.) 16 Jul 2018 23:27:36
Christie going back to Aberdeen on loan definitely finished his Celtic career . A young man in his late teens and early 20's need to be under the tutorage of his club . He needs to be observed daily by the coaches, pointed out what he is doing well and what he needs to improve on . His coaches needs to be talking of what he will be doing the following seasons . He needs to feel part of the club, not sent away a hundred miles or more and have to find new friends and maybe new pastimes, A young lad's freedom away from home can mean excess alcohol etc
All to pay some of P R and M wages.

How did we play today?

Was there a big improvement on previous games with fitness and all round play.

I hear this 3 weeks left in transfer window, who cares when we have 1 week possibly left in the money pot champions league

If we go out and I think we have to admit it’s more likely we will given our record away at times then you can be sure that we will not sign any player of note for the Europa league

BR is clearly unhappy, and if we go out next week then I think this will just add to the cracks that are clearly forming between him and Pedro

100% hope we pull out a performance next week and that a miracle happens and Dembele makes it 🙏.

As much I think he wasn’t the player for us, if he wanted to play for Celtic then he would have said no

Clearly the move is money oriented and on that note all the best playing in the championship.

Stan - I said last week we where out and the green tinted brigade said no, teams ok, players will sign with 3 weeks left in window

Big change in opinions now from a lot, domestic success isn’t exciting anymore as there are no challenges even with the state of this current defence we still clean up

European progress is where excitement comes from and we’ve blown it, Europa will be rubbish, lot of big clubs play weakened teams until the very late stages and for transfers now, any new signings if there is any will be projects or loans at best

Wouldn’t be surprised if BR left at end of the season and I don’t blame him.

AEK are average mate, it’s that simple and we only have ourselves to blame for losing to an average Europa league team

DRB - treble treble is a fun gimmick to have but imo I’d rather see European progress with better players

I’m so disappointed with the start to this year and no idea where we go from here.

Johnny, not sure if story is true but this is exactly what I was expecting given the lack of players signed. BR wanted them in early, it’s simple like many other clubs that have signed there targets.

It’s irrelevant with 3 weeks left, he clearly wanted his qualifiers to be made easier and he’s been left high n dry with no new players coming in

Now if the board don’t get there finger out we will be back to a Ronny Deila yes man type and a half empty stadium.
