Kev T

1.) 28 Oct 2016 19:47:46
All the best KT! Come back fitter and stronger,

2.) 28 Oct 2016 20:13:13
Awful news, hope he's on the mend soon.

3.) 28 Oct 2016 20:37:52
Celtic saying out for 2 months.

4.) 28 Oct 2016 22:43:09
He is a young fit guy, will be back as good as new .

5.) 29 Oct 2016 02:13:24
Awful news. I'm gutted.
Who did it?

6.) 29 Oct 2016 08:30:48
Big Mental test for the bhoy.
He is a stand out performer who loves a slide challenge, hopefully he comes back with the same confidence to take on a tackle.

Is this his first big injury?
All the best For the recovery KT.

7.) 29 Oct 2016 10:14:27
Don't think it is his first big injury. Sure he broke his leg a couple seasons ago.

8.) 29 Oct 2016 15:10:29
Cheers kev
Roll on a full recovery then!

17 Aug 2015 21:35:11
So ave heard loads of people say the mystery player is the one and only Zlatan!!

Comments from player and club would indicate he may well leave.

And of all he players mentioned he is actualy a regular goal scorer.

Can't see it myself but wow if it was.

Kev T

1.) 17 Aug 2015 22:28:57
Would have been hilarious if he had joined us and put his ex team and where it all started for him in football Malmo to the sword haha. They idolise him and have a suite in their stadium named after him and everything.

Personally I still think the mystery striker will be Soriano if we progress to the CL Group Stages.

2.) 17 Aug 2015 22:41:22
On the other hand there may be something in the Zlatan one,in a recent interview ,when asked where his next move would be he said it may be surprising, and he is already on record as saying he would one day like to play for Celtic

3.) 17 Aug 2015 23:38:20
Lol Zlatan joining Celtic! Never going to happen!

4.) 18 Aug 2015 00:13:13
Ha - I stuck a fiver on Zlatan weeks ago at 50 - 1. Don't really beleive it but it's nice to dream.

Could you imagine if the board came out with £10m signed Zlatan, Grosskreutz and got Denayer back. Insisting big VVD stay till Jan. We would finally have a team for the CL that's not just there to make up the numbers and should be more than capable of last 16 possibly 8.

Call me mad but I don't think the above players are out of reach for the club and deals could be done if the board made them happen. But let's face it Never going to happen but a great fantasy. Lol.

5.) 18 Aug 2015 11:47:41
We all grumble about players coming to Celtic to top up their pensions but I'd gladly take a 36/37 year old Zlatan in a couple of years if he was willing to come just to tick it off the list. He's something else.

08 Aug 2014 20:23:39
Jeff Louis has signed for Standard Liege

27 Apr 2014 13:38:21
You couldn't make this up!

Celtic manager Neil Lennon says the Scottish champions will be losing a £5m player should forward Georgios Samaras leave at the end of his contract in the summer but has not given up hope of persuading the Greece international to stay.

Kev T

1.) In fairness I agree; if he had time on his contract that is what I would want.

2.) On the big stage Samaras never looks out of place, can be frustrating in the bread and butter issues but I agree with most, if he's not signing he shoulding be playing. £5 m or not

3.) 9 goals in 22 Champions League games over the past two seasons, including two in two seperate matches at Camp Nou. Who was the last Celtic player to have scored that amount of goals in Europe's elite competition? Larsson?

4.) If he's a 5 million player he defo won't be signing! lmfao

26 Dec 2013 14:29:14
Celtic: Forster; Fisher, Ambrose, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Matthews, Brown, Ledley, Samaras; Commons, Stokes. Subs: Zaluska, Biton, Balde, Pukki, Atajic, Forrest, Henderson

Why is it Celtic are dealt a blow with Roberts travelling to Spain to play Girona

If anything it's surely a reality check that he ain't in the first team plans and should move on before it's too late.

UEFA and FIFA need to stop clubs stockpiling youngsters. It's ruining careers.

Kev T

1.) 14 Aug 2017 23:22:00
Aguero is away too maybe we can sign him on loan for third choice striker . . .

2.) 15 Aug 2017 01:07:55
LM I prefer Jesus he is nailed on these days, and better with crosses lol.

3.) 15 Aug 2017 11:51:04
If its not ruining careers, you'd imagine UEFA and FIFA would realise that the younger lads can add something to the big competitions - albeit on the fringes - of the marquee tournaments by playing for competitive teams in the leagues that aren't guaranteed 3 and 4 spots.

Or, maybe they want to keep it just as it is, with 4 clear 'big' leagues, where they can concentrate their marketing and advertising 'spend', and sell that product to the global audience.

This is where I think Celtic really could and should challenge the hegemony. We've a fan base that could command major investment, just not in the present context.

I thought Paddy would sign all week and I'm not going to follow the 'story' anymore. What's the point?

4.) 15 Aug 2017 11:53:36
dear, dear rayman, on a catholic teams page too lol.

30 Jul 2017 09:15:57
We played really well yesterday, Sinclair for me was really off it. Hoping he was more worried about getting injured than it being poor form.

Doesn't Kouassi look a good player? Our midfield is a bit packed, is there any likely hood of anyone leaving? Bitton and Henderson for me as the rest seem to be better.

Strikers? I honestly expected to see either Nadir or Jack to start the game to see if they could perform against Rosenborg, bit worried that this game without a striker will be more difficult than it should be? Fingers crossed Leigh makes it.

Now the big question? Does McGregor warrant a start?

Kev T

1.) 30 Jul 2017 10:36:33
I would start McGregor every week, thought last dozen or so games of last season he was outstanding. Couldn't believe he never started last Wed and more baffling he never even came on.

2.) 30 Jul 2017 10:38:09
Don't think nadir can play on Wednesday.
Did he get registered?

3.) 30 Jul 2017 10:55:49
Kouassi is startng to settle in and show some real quality I think. A perfect cover and understudy in the anchor for Broony, and dare I say it, might even start to challenge him in time?

Ntcham, McGregor and Armstrong competing for the more advanced role - Bitton and Henderson both look surplus I agree.

Would have loved Aitchison see a bit more game time, not just this preseason but last term too. Either he's seen as not ready or not able so that's somewhere we want to think about.

As for the big question, though he doesn't directly solve our 'problem' area for Rosenborg (striker) he has certainly given Rodgers food for thought with a hat trick.

4.) 30 Jul 2017 11:10:30
Kouassi was the best player on the park yesterday, the father in law, who is a toon fan was raving about him all the way home.

Ajer was quality too, as was most of the bhoys but Sinclair does look off the boil to me.

I'd start with mcgregor and armstrong in midfield on Wednesday with sinky through the middle. I know I said he off the boil but I can't think of many better options.

5.) 30 Jul 2017 12:13:57
Your laddy enjoy the mackems getting pumped Craig? What did he make of a proper atmosphere?

6.) 30 Jul 2017 14:52:12
Hoping Sinclair hasn't got the POTY curse that's affected a few of our players.

7.) 30 Jul 2017 15:27:27
Jim, got to be honest, when we first got on the metro and there was over 100 bhoys on the Bucky and signing a few choice songs he was a bit overwhelmed but when I was telling a few of them it was his first game they were great with him.
He had a ball, spent most of the game watching the fans.
He wants us to move home so he can get a season ticket haha
Need to get up to more games with him.

8.) 30 Jul 2017 16:38:01
Kev I don't think we desperately needed ntcham or benyu I don't think both are much better than Henderson if better at all (time will tell on that though) i agree biton surplus as kouassi looks far more mobile. i don't think if armstrong left it would hurt us too much although id prefer him to stay . as for mgregor he should have started last weds and should start this weds also. but having spent big on ntcham will he play regardless just to justify spend? . i think as big a question is Sinclair starting as he is looking poor just now . just a blip? For me team should be along the lies of:

Griffs/ if fit

If no griffs do we play aitcheson or cifti? . or as br hinted forrest up top and put in hayes rw. or add in kouassi and move mgregor up top. id prefer kouassi and mgregor option as it gives More central cover . but no matter who plays we need to up our game from last week.

9.) 30 Jul 2017 17:00:48
Good to hear Craig. It probably could be a bit daunting to be fair lol.

10.) 30 Jul 2017 19:58:51
I don't think we can play cifti. Don't think we registered him did we?

17 Jan 2017 13:27:35
Anyone else fed up with the ridiculous transfer nonsense relating to EPL

Depay and Sakho for example, paid well over the odds both have been really poor yet Man Utd and Liverpool seem to think they can recoup all the wasted money

Where is the logic, I wouldn't even pay double figures of millions for either yet these moronic EPL clubs insist on mega money

Payet, one good season he says he'll only leave for Marseille and 30 million is the fee for a 30 year old - eh no thanks 10 million at best, hope these players sit out there contracts and bleed these clubs dry

Kev T

1.) 17 Jan 2017 14:02:20
lets say you make 30k a year, so you get finance for a car like a Peugeot ford or citroen.

lets say you make 60k a year, you get a jag or landrover.

these clubs are making XXX Millions a year - so its no skin to them to pay XX for players and wages, cos - even if relegated - they will get the parachute payment as well.

its mental

2.) 17 Jan 2017 16:07:02
Paying funny money for bang average players. Let them get on with it couldny tell u the ladt time a seen a good game from epl in fact a wild say the championship produces better games imo

3.) 17 Jan 2017 17:39:23
John Stones £50 million says it all really.

13 Sep 2016 21:14:04
I would like to see Tierney take a rest, the defence has struggled but this lad has been really off his game.

A wee rest before the games that matter against Borussia M.

Kev T

1.) 13 Sep 2016 22:01:47
Didn't think Tierney was bad tonight.

2.) 13 Sep 2016 21:51:51
Agree izzy should be playing at this stage we all know how good he is. But we don't want to firstly burn him out secondly give him an ego as in I can play shit and still walk in to team.

3.) 13 Sep 2016 22:07:32
Izzy is murder and has been since his second season
He can't defend
He can't cross
He can't tackle
He can't even shy a baw right.

4.) 13 Sep 2016 22:30:06
How many goals came down our left?

5.) 13 Sep 2016 22:37:39
Tierny needs a rest he was blowing out his arse tonight.

6.) 14 Sep 2016 08:32:04
How many goals came down our left?

01 Sep 2016 07:13:41
I hate the EPL

Markus Henrikson joins Hull City, there is just no ambition with players thanks to this overrated and over inflated league.

Stoke City get Bony and Martins Indi on loan, 2 players that could easily play for most champions league teams.

I for one cannot wait for the collapse of the TV deals they get so football can get back to normal.

On another note Balotelli to Nice on a free transfer, he will come good again no doubts about that only wish we where the club to take the chance.

Kev T

{Ed001's Note - seriously? Henrikson didn't have a bunch of offers on the table to choose between, nothing to do with no ambition.

Bony and Martins Indi have joined a team that has ambitions of becoming a Champions League team, though Martins Indi is exceedingly average and a bad signing in my view.

As for Balotelli, the fact you even suggest he has ever been good at any point to come good again, well it just shows how little you know of him. He is a lazy, good for nothing waste of talent. He has never had more than a couple of good games in a season. I really wish anyone had shown enough ignorance or stupidity that they had taken the chance to buy him, so Liverpool didn't lose so much on him. Considering you all worship Brendan, you would think you would back his judgement of a player he worked with once and would never pick because of his appalling attitude.}

1.) 01 Sep 2016 07:32:20
Balotelli is a total waste of two good legs.
I do agree with the EPL comment.
That said, it is hyped up and we'll promoted worldwide to the point where it is in your face constantly.
I have lived and worked abroad and the advertising and promotion for this league is on par with any blockbuster movie with special effects et al. The players are made to look like explosive heroes with goals raining in from all angles etc.
SPL? Too busy telling each other how good they are.
Mind you, some of the Scotish games I have watched abroad are mind numbingly boring at times.
I was really peed off last nigh. There was the Football focus programme specifically capturing the last half hour of the English Transfer a Window. 11pm. finished
What did we do up here (and we had an extra hour) ? Feck all.
We don't have a clue how to market the product.

{Ed001's Note - fully agree on that, I wasn't disputing the EPL comment, it is about marketing, just that the players being singled out were being unfairly judged.}

2.) 01 Sep 2016 08:09:12
balotelli is a merc who can't be arsed, can't stand that guy, a player that had the ability but no heart, now he has nothing.

3.) 01 Sep 2016 08:15:10
Hull city have ambitions of becoming a champions league team? Aye I have ambitions of dating Beyoncé. that's no going to happen either.

{Ed001's Note - nobody mentioned Hull in that respect, though they are being bought out by Chinese with ambitions. It was Stoke that are looking to make the next step up to being regulars in Europe, then Champions League.}

4.) 01 Sep 2016 08:15:56
Sorry. Stoke city.

{Ed001's Note - you do not have ambitions of dating Beyonce, you have a ridiculous fantasy. Ambitions are achievable and Stoke have lots of money and invest heavily in their future. They have been gradually building for a long time. Perhaps if you spent some time in the real world you might learn something about Stoke and their plans for the future.}

5.) 01 Sep 2016 16:14:16
so what are stokes plans for the future that the rest don't have? All clubs in England have lots of money. Stoke city will not be in the top 4 over the next decade.
The EPL is now ruining world football. The sooner the money falls out the bottom of it the better.

{Ed001's Note - I give up you stay ignorant sunshine you are too bitter to have a clue.}

6.) 01 Sep 2016 17:06:02
Great answer.

Unfortunately there a morons at every club that ruin it for the majority of good fans.

I work with Rangers fans that know finishing 2nd would be an achievement and live 5 mins from an orange lodge where morons spew there bigoted pish all over and believe 55 is coming or is it 4 😂😂

Football will never be like other sports and it's across the lands not just the UK.

I just love reading what Rodgers has to say about our club and football in general.

I don't think anyone is getting at Rodgers personally but I do think fans are worried that Roberts has not been replaced and wether others agree or not we are not as strong as we where with him.

Obviously BR and us fans want him back but if it's not going to happen then I just hope an alternative is already scouted and lined up.

Can't wait for today, hope to see a devastating display of intent that we are taking no prisoners this year.
