Well I’ve got to admit I’m totally disillusioned with what’s going on at my club lads! Listening to Rodgers comments on boyata has angered me big time! Haven’t questioned much he’s done since he came in but I’m sorry he’s making a rite arse of himself and the fans over this! This is a guy who has refused to play for our club, feigned injury, who’s agent has ran us into the ground more than once in the press!

Now there mite be a chance he can play next week and there’s still a future, and he’s a good guy! So I’m guessing they’ve not even bothered there arse looking for other centre half’s and are welcoming back a rat who’s made it clear he doesn’t want to be at the club! Something very wrong is going inside the club rite now and I for one am totally disgusted by Rodgers comments! I worry for us this season by the way lads! Scunnered is an understatement by the way!

1.) 19 Aug 2018 11:59:56
His agent was quoted as saying he will not risk injury playing for Celtic and he will sign elsewhere for free in January. It doesn't get any less respectful or committed than that I'm afraid.

2.) 19 Aug 2018 13:54:35
Kev, this clown is done at our club! No amount of excuses and he’s a good guy from Rodgers and Davies is going to change that! I will never support this diddy, and I mean never! I thought he was a poor excuse for a player long before this happened and what he’s done since has just added to the fact I want him nowhere near our club!

But hey ho, we can’t be arsed looking for other centre half’s so just bring a rat back that doesn’t want to be here and said he’s off as soon as he can! Poor poor stuff it really is!

Rest in peace Liam Miller. YNWA.

2.) 10 Feb 2018 00:31:39

3.) 10 Feb 2018 09:27:25
God bless you Liam RIP.

17 Jan 2018 14:26:38
Compper out for a month with calf injury! Bloody great! See we are being linked with Serbian defender today, u heard anything ED?

Lh86

{Ed007's Note - I'm not sure the stories of an actual bid for Dusko Tosic are 100% true but it seems we have spoken to Besiktas about him.}

1.) 17 Jan 2018 17:07:38
Guessin he'd be cup tied aswell?

{Ed007's Note - No he would be eligible to play for us.}

2.) 17 Jan 2018 17:48:00
Guy played in 6 CL games and the team made the next round that right Ed?

{Ed007's Note - Yes.}

3.) 17 Jan 2018 18:01:33
Am laughing at the DR this morning they report that from reports coming out of Turkey we bid for Tosnic now they are saying it's been rubbished by Celtic. I am a bit gutted Henderson did not get a good shot thought he had a lot going for him just needed a sustained run in the team now he's joined on a perniment deal good luck to him what your thoughts on him ED.

{Ed007's Note - I don't have any thoughts on Henderson except that he was never good enough for Celtic.}

4.) 17 Jan 2018 19:59:28
No big loss. He is cup tied so it isn't as if he would of got a sniff at the 2nd leg of the zenit game even if he was returning. He's a dourus type of cover signing. Might be wrong but I can't see him being first 11 after the summer window. Could of done with him fit though, we are a bit busy when we come back.

5.) 17 Jan 2018 20:13:36
He got a bit of a chance and never really stepped up. Was a bit like GMS.

{Ed007's Note - That's it, Davie. I watched him with Hibs and he was a better player than he ever showed in a Celtic jersey. He had enough chances to show he could be a regular for us.}

6.) 18 Jan 2018 16:11:47
Yes, but when he was with hibs, he was a regular, that helps a player's confidence, I think if you went around Scotland and England, picking up players that were talented but we're only thought of as squad players at their home club, and you were the right kind of manager, you could probably mould a team that might not win the league but would be able to qualify Europe every year and get past the first two or three rounds.

25 Dec 2017 10:12:24
Happy Xmas to all the posters on here! And a special shout out to ED, great job u do buddy and hope u have a good one! 🎄🍾☃️ Just seeing on sky we’ve accepted an 18 million bid from Brighton for Moussa! Think we’re short changing ourselves there! Must be a big sell on clause! But Brighton! Jesus how times have changed! Hope he liked playing championship football because he’ll be back there next season!

Lh86

{Ed007's Note - It's nonsense Lh, Celtic have definitely 100% NOT accepted any bids for Dembele. Merry Christmas to you and your family mate, have a great day.}

1.) 25 Dec 2017 10:33:11
Almost ruined ma day when I seen that on Sky! Moussa must stay! 🍀🍀🍀

Merry Christmas Bhoys and Ghirls, have a great time! 🍀🍀🍀

Ed’s many thanks for the time and effort that goes into running this brilliant sight!

HH 🍀🍀🍀.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Scott and Merry Christmas to you too.}

2.) 25 Dec 2017 10:36:22
How can sky speak get away with talking shite like that that's surely slander and false reporting.

{Ed007's Note - They're reporting it as a 'Sly sources understands...' piece which roughly translates to 'We made this up...' The reporter reporting it had Dembele going to Milan a couple of weeks ago as well.}

3.) 25 Dec 2017 11:12:30
Some poor hun home alone this christmas . . . could be a long day.

4.) 25 Dec 2017 11:14:04
I thought this was load of pish when I heard.
I have read a few posts on a few different places slagging dembele and his ambition.
Just because Celtic accept an offer ( which I really doubt) doesn't mean dembele will want to go there.
He has his eye on bigger teams than that.

5.) 25 Dec 2017 15:18:06
Merry Christmas Ed to you and your family and all the lads who post on the site. Thanks for all the great work ed and nice to hear the dembele claim is rubbish. Looking forward to them Christmas period and six points! Enjoy your Christmas lads.

6.) 25 Dec 2017 21:50:29
Ed Merry Christmas to you and the family. Ed i believe he is off and its West Ham. We shall see but hopefully he will contribute on the 30th as his final game. great site ed see you in 2018.

7.) 25 Dec 2017 22:27:13
Ed Happy Christmas and to all on hear have a good one.

{Ed007's Note - Merry Christmas, Tony.}

13 Jun 2017 10:11:17
Is it true we've offered more money for Hayes and Christie on loan ED? Find this really strange mate, I thought we'd offered to much in the first place!

Lh86

{Ed007's Note - I don't believe it and if it's true it's a truly awful piece of business.}

1.) 13 Jun 2017 11:40:37
Thinkin the same ED, makes no sense whatsoever! Paying over a million for a 30 year old squad player while letting Christie go! Just cannot see what we gain from it if it's true!

{Ed007's Note - If it is true I'm hoping the chance to play in England appeals to Hayes more than being a bench warmer at Celtic.}

2.) 13 Jun 2017 13:02:50
Christie should be breaking into our team this year rather than being a key player for our closest rivals.

{Ed007's Note - Spot on Davie and I couldn't agree more. Christie should be on our bench as cover for LW/CAM/RW since he can easily play any of those 3 positions at domestic level.}

3.) 13 Jun 2017 13:31:02
Hayes will not be going anywhere soon as Aberdeen have bigger things to worry about finding a new manager for a start if the talk in the town is to believed.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 17:38:41
Hayes is a decent player for Aberdeen a good player but for me I really hope we have more ambition that to really go after him we need to improve the team not just keep it as is.

5.) 13 Jun 2017 18:20:05
Definitely ed, the signing of Hayes would iritate me but no where as much as losing Christie. A loan would be bad enough but Christie as makeweight in a permanent deal for Hayes would be crime of the century.

{Ed007's Note - It just doesn't make sense to me. Although I'm not a fan of Hayes in the slightest but I can see why Rodgers might be interested in him given their history and that he's a decent SPFL level player but to use Christie in the deal is baffling me.}

6.) 13 Jun 2017 22:15:03
Maybe Rodgers is aware of something in Christie's character and behaviour that he doesn't want influencing other young Celtic players . Before anyone thinks I am picking on the boy, I don't know anything re his off- field behaviour but it would explain why Brendan is happy enough for him to be away at least for another season

I def think Brendan can bring Hayes on like he did with Armstrong and look forward to him signing . It goes without saying that if he joins both in forums and on the stands we should give him a very good welcome and give him time.

7.) 14 Jun 2017 08:53:32
Or maybe he thinks the young boy will simply benefit from another season out on loan playing regular first team football.

8.) 14 Jun 2017 17:37:59
No need to panic. The Hayes move reminds me of every other domestic siging. Similar to Barry Robson signing who was excellent for us even at European level as was Hartley.

So i can see why with our recent success financially and on the pitch that fans want a big name but give Hayes a chance.

As for Christie. He is young and won't get in front of Rogic or Armstrong atm. Good thing is he is quality and when one of them get sold he will step in with ease.

If Lennon can’t see we need the full back areas sorted ASAP i don’t what he’s watchinh! No Harm to the lad at all but ralston isn’t and never will be good enough to be our first choice RB! Can’t fault the effort but just not got the quality! Same for Hayes on the other side is the exact same! Gets this KT thing sorted soon as and get quality in those full back areas!

Lh86

1.) 02 Jul 2019 22:11:54
He can see the man's trying to get players in it takes time it's the money men.

2.) 02 Jul 2019 23:04:30
Mally our first signing had to be a RB! We’ve went for turnbull who is an AM Jullien CB Connell a centre mid and the Vienna boy a left back. RB is the priority signing buddy!

17 Aug 2018 14:58:29
Don’t vilify boyata, it’s open. he might not leave the club! Away and take a bow to yourself Davies! This clown must go and must go now! An absolute embarrassment and a poor player to top it off! Don’t vilify boyata! Staggering comment!

Lh86

1.) 17 Aug 2018 16:16:24
He's seemingly to train tomorrow with the Under 20's and not in the squad.

2.) 17 Aug 2018 17:19:29
He shouldn’t be training with anyone. He should be nowhere near the youngsters.

3.) 17 Aug 2018 18:14:27
Relax guys.
What you heard was not what was meant. Any dog on the street can tell that what Davies is actually saying is, "Boyata's a twat. He will not play for us again, that's why he's training with the development squad. He will be sold but if we say publicly that his days here are numbered then we'll only get crappy offers for him. Any decent offer will be accepted and the first team players and coaching squad will each kick him in the hole on the way out. " HH.

4.) 17 Aug 2018 18:44:35
This should have been done behind closed doors. What was the point in BR announcing he was fit to play? All we have done is cost us money in transfer fee. Sell him then tell the story.

5.) 17 Aug 2018 18:54:15
😂😂😂😂 hope your rite about that last part bob!

6.) 17 Aug 2018 22:47:51
Nice one Bob. I hope they form a guard of dishonour and everybody boots his ring.

7.) 18 Aug 2018 18:26:59
Yes he's not the flavour of the month and hopefully he will be punted before the window shuts.

8.) 18 Aug 2018 23:13:42
He's back with the squad on Monday according to Davies.

09 Aug 2018 10:06:47
Hearing Denayer has knocked us back yet again! This window is an absolute shambles by the way! going from last years treble to stumbling about looking for players on the cheap and making a complete arse of ourselves in the transfer market! If we go out next Tuesday we all know who the blame lies with. just ain’t bloody good enough!

Lh86

{Ed007's Note - If we go out I'll be blaming the players. AEK were no better than a well organised SPFL side who camp out in their own half and once again the players who are meant to create during the game failed miserably.
Rogic done another great Hawley Griffin impersonation before being hooked 5 mins after they went down to 10 men, isn't that when he should be thriving?}

1.) 09 Aug 2018 10:45:20
I’m with you on that Ed we can’t blame last night on Lawwell etc.

However I’ve just read Izzy saying he plans on signing a 2 year deal with us. Wtf? What an absolutely pointless signing. I’m usually patient in the transfer window because it’s us, however that’s just desperate.

{Ed007's Note - It's baffling, there's no way in the world Rodgers asked for Izaguirre to be signed, this has Lawwell's fingerprints all over it. Does anyone really believe the best back up LB Congerton and the scouts could come up with was resigning Izaguirre?

2.) 09 Aug 2018 10:57:28
ED007 there are a lot of people to blame
Firstly the board, and Lawwell in particular, who have not backed Rodgers. Why wait until AV offer more than us to match it, McGinn deal should have been tied up a month ago. But in saying that it looks like McGinn did not believe in his own ability to earn a starting place, so cheerio.
Rodgers I felt all week concentrated on the transfer situation rather than our CL game, talk about those issues AFTER the game, he took his eye off the ball.
The players seemed to panic when we lost the away goal, and it seemed to unsettle them second half, instead of having the mental strength to overcome it.
The supporters are also to blame, we talk about our famous "Celtic Park atmosphere" but it can work against us also, as the fans also panicked when the Greeks scored and that nervousness affected the team.
Also we the fans are to blame for our perennial lack of transfer actvity each season, lawwell knows we are too immersed in our club to do anything negative, we still sell out the ground every second week, buy all the merchandise etc, Lawwell plays on us Celtic fans doing this.
Finally, I think a lot of fans, on here also, were too complacent and ready to dismiss AEK, they should have been a seeded side and NOT met us. I heard Celtic fans say "they don't travel well" "they have not played a competitive game" Celtic DO NOT travel well either, Athens will be very hard now with a 70,000crowd and 90% heat, sadly I feel we are OUT. last night was our opportunity to take advantage of their lack of games and we blew it big time.

{Ed007's Note - Peter Lawwell wasn't out there last night constantly passing the ball sideways in front of the AEK defence, we should have had enough to beat a very poor Greek side who has 2 shots on target in 90 mins. The players let themselves and the fans down last night, there is no cutting edge in our team that can break down well organised stubborn defences, we even seen it domestically last season.}

3.) 09 Aug 2018 11:00:02
Aww come on Ed, you are absolutely at it. AEK another SPL side? Greek champions?

on level with PAOK who are beating sides like Basle and Spartak Moscow last night.

SPL level lol, you are having a laugh. Aye, their style is to defend.

I remember playing AC Milan and Juventus and getting plenty of possession, people thought we were doing well and then bang, goal.

You are mixing up playing style with ability.

and people still refusing to recognise the absolute failure of the board.

{Ed007's Note - They had 2 shots on target - one more than Livingston.}

4.) 09 Aug 2018 11:12:17
Do you reckon Rodgers actually wants a back up LB? I just feel it’s a waste of wages when we know KT will be first choice. Rodgers has shown he doesn’t mind playing players in unnatural positions (McGregor has played LB for us for example) . We also have Calvin miller or Hayes who could do as good a job as a 32 year old izzaguire.

I’m hoping after the window shuts down south we see some movement but I’m not confident.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think Rodgers would see a back-up LB as a priority, unless Hayes is moving on and there is also talk of Calvin Miller going out on loan.}

5.) 09 Aug 2018 11:21:01
AndyH93 what happens if Tierney snaps his leg again? Would you be happy to play Hayes or Miller week in week out?
Ed you've said on several occasions that you dislike Miller at left back.

{Ed007's Note - But obviously the manager sees Miller as a LB, Kev.
So if we qualify for the CL and KT snaps his leg would you be happy to play Izaguirre against a PSG or a Barca?}

6.) 09 Aug 2018 11:21:31
Ed bang on rogic disappeared last night when we needed him pass marks for m. e were Tierney broony ntcham Forrest callum the rest pants and Gordon had nothing to do if that was psg or a Barcelona my god we would get murdered.

{Ed007's Note - Rogic disappears all the time but as long as he scores against TRIFC everything's fine and we've to forget that he offers nothing in a very high percentage of games.}

7.) 09 Aug 2018 11:18:32
Agree with u ED about the lack of cutting edge, but the powers at be haven’t replaced Armstrong or paddy that could have provided cutting edge! And again going into a vital match like that with a below par back line once again cost us! Lustig is done at RB and that centre half with a bit of leadership and quality hasn’t been brought in, and the scary thing is they don’t even look like theyr looking for these players! Just feel after all the confidence coming off the back of the last 2 seasons that somethings not quite rite. and listening to Rodgers talk over the past few days confirms that! Denayer Izaguirre some young lad who’s been playing in Australia and the old paddy Roberts stories! It’s not nearly bloody good enough!

{Ed007's Note - We gave Rogic a bumper new deal, James Forrest is - according to some - better than Roberts and Sinclair are there to provide the cutting edge and create chances for the strikers while pitching in with their fair share of goals, they don't do it consistently enough and the same faults as last season are already there to see for this season, until we improve the AM department we're going to struggle to break down teams that are defensively well drilled, both domestically and in Europe.}

8.) 09 Aug 2018 11:43:46
Last night was our chance to go through especially playing against 10 men for 30 mins. You say they had 2 rubbishs on target which is true but how many did we have? Apart from the goal and one Ntcham shot straight at the keeper I can’t remember us doing much else.

9.) 09 Aug 2018 11:49:56
I would be happier going in with Izzy than with Miller or Hayes ed.

{Ed007's Note - Izaguirre from 5/6 years ago or a 32-year old Izaguirre?}

10.) 09 Aug 2018 11:52:38
Ed think most of us agree, so why has the Board not rectified the issue with some signings.

{Ed007's Note - Just to annoy you, Johnny.}

11.) 09 Aug 2018 12:18:46
That team were bang average but our Achilles heel the defence as per why do we never strengthen from a position of strength . baffling.

12.) 09 Aug 2018 12:25:37
Our attack was worse than our defence Mally. Our Achilles heel last night was not making enough chances.
We had 73% of the possession and half hour against 10 men and done nothing with it.

13.) 09 Aug 2018 12:37:33
True kev but clean sheets are crucial in these ties.

14.) 09 Aug 2018 13:30:15
Totally agree Ed. It won't be popular but Rogic doesn't dictate and influence games the way some make out. Forrest is still Forrest. When they went down to 10 and sat back - that's where Rogic should be coming alive; not getting hooked. Is he best coming on as an impact and us starting with CalMac down the middle?

{Ed007's Note - I'd definitely start with McGregor playing through the middle.}

15.) 09 Aug 2018 13:46:11
So is scoring goals. The defence wasn't as bad as people are making out. Ye we lost a sloppy goal but other than that there was very little for Craig Gordon to do.

It seems in fashion to have a pop at the defence at moment bit there were much worse performing players in the midfield and attack last night.

Rogic was worse player on the pitch and no one is going daft about him because he's the golden bhoy to a lot of fans.

16.) 09 Aug 2018 15:09:00
Sorry ed just noticed your reply about whether I'd be happy with a 32 year old Izzy over Hayes and Miller.
Still a yes. Hayes is less than a year younger and none of them are left backs.

17.) 10 Aug 2018 22:35:20
Maybe the problem is that like when RD was in charge, PL iis frustrated at the lack of targets that BR is coming up with, eg Left back and so to pull the club out of a fix Peter thinks he has to go on a solo run and come up with a target ie Izzy.

07 Aug 2018 17:17:45
Well I think anyone who thought Brendan wasn’t pissed off about our transfer dealings surely has to change there mind. every word he says on the matter screams total frustration! He’s coming out publicly and saying we are weaker and the bare minimum was to replace Armstrong and paddy, which we haven’t done! Saying u need to strengthen while your on top, which we haven’t done. said we need to do it now and not wait, which we haven’t done! Worrying words IMO.

Lh86

1.) 07 Aug 2018 17:35:40
Well Said LH, I think we should all be worried now, does it look like Mr Lawell and Mr Desmond have reverted to form and have taken us all for a little ride?
I hope that BR can overcome this obvious rift/ double cross and sustain us through this season.
He will be off if this behavior from the board continues.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 17:39:45
100% accurate. Whilst SA was a bit injury prone last year, when fit he was dynamic box to box and a goal threat. We needed 2-3 players to bolster the first team. I don't count Christie or Morgan - neither will start often and we didn't pay for Morgan. Shambolic showing from us and I've said often we will suffer in CL (if we make it.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 17:45:35
Just really frustrating Malika! I thought when we signed Eddy early doors in the window we meant business. but what’s happened since and the names we’ve been linked with, apart for Mcginn don’t exactly fill me with confidence! Hope I’m way off and things step up after Thursday! Just worrying for me.

4.) 07 Aug 2018 18:08:55
What worries me is it is now clear Lawell is dragging his feet. He was obviously given a list of targets and has done absolutely feck all as per usual close season. I hope this puts a fire under his ponderous, unambiguous arse and he gets the players required to take us to the next level. The STV. Site and KDS have the lunchtime press conferences and a journalist said he was even more scathing to the written press guys. Not a surprise in the slightest but still a worry that Lawell puts our CL participation in jepordy to penny pinch. No change there then even with BRENDAN at the helm. Get the finger out Lawell and support our manager. And no we weren’t diverted by the Defabet deal. The prize is the CL and so far Rogers has confirmed you are doing feck all to help him. If we fail to get in it he should resign. That will be a monumental balks up and he is to blame after Rogers comments.

17 Jun 2018 22:11:06
Just reading there about the Wee guy James Maddison that was on loan at the sheep a while back, apparently Southampton and Leicester have bid in the region of 22 million pound for this lad! Unbelievable honestly! A decent season in the English championship and now worth over 20 million! Yet dembele who’s scored goals for fun for the French under 21s, scored in the champions league and helped us to back to back treble supposedly isn’t worth much according to some! Aww and scored in double figures in the English championship when he was 18 to by the way! Bonkers down there!

Lh86

1.) 17 Jun 2018 22:48:45
Lh. Just read that myself. World has gone crazy.

2.) 17 Jun 2018 23:18:30
Remember Dembele isn’t English so is automatically worth about £6m less than Maddison lol.

3.) 18 Jun 2018 00:27:31
Aye your rite there kev! Lol. niall it’s bonkers mate! This boy has had one decent season and he’s worth 22 million! No doubt the boys got to have something about him but for gods sake! English football is ruining the game by the way. i know these other big countries spend money to, but u wouldn’t find any team battling relegation in these countries spending that money and throwing round 100 grand a week as If it’s nothing! It’s rite through English football and it makes me sick! Sorry for the rant lads, just pisses me off! Lol.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 14:55:15
I always compare players to our own squad. Not seen enough of Maddison but in the games against us he didn’t stand out.

Reading today about Jack Wiltshire. Options are move to West Ham or sign a £116k a week contract at Arsenal where he knows he won’t be first choice and has been told that by the manager. £116k a week to sit on the bench?

Taylor is a left back so he won’t be back up to Elhamed! Call me cynical but selling KT for 25 million and bringing in Greg Taylor from Kilmarnock won't make our team stronger! If this is lennons ‘contingency plan’ then we’re short changed big time!

Video was cringeworthy! Why mention us! And the club have said they done everything they could to keep him, but he very much wanted to go! So let’s not be having anymore of the club forced him crap! He wanted to leave and now he has his wish. we move on and hopefully spend a chunk of the money buying some players! We’ve lost bigger and better and came through it!

Way over the top! Is that u Peter or is it Neil! If u think the reaction to what got served up on Thursday is over the top then I’m actually stunned! Short term memory loss! No my memory is just fine! I remember getting pumped at home by a bang average Romanian team and failing miserably against a poor poor aek Athens! And how have cluj got a higher co efficient than us?

Lewis Morgan isn’t good enough for us and never will be! And certainly shouldn’t be a starter! He’s a squad filler at best! Shved has come off a storming season in Ukraine and scored a barrel load of goals, he’s left footed to! If u don’t fancy Sinclair give this lad a try there! But to have Morgan and wee Johnston, who has talent but isn’t ready being our 2 first choice wingers says everything we need to know about where our team is right now!

Whoever shells out money for the EL qualifier and subsequent group matches IF we make it needs there head examined! Give them nothing and let them see an empty stadium with the disco lights on! For far to long they’ve took the fans for granted but even the most patient fans must make a stand! To lose 4 goals at home to cluj is unforgivable and something stinks from top to bottom at our club! From boardroom to recruitment to management it all got laid bare last nite with that dross! Like I said if anyone shells out money to lawell and his cronies for the EL they will never ever learn! There comes a point when enough is enough and action is needed over words!

For Lennon to come out and say his tactics weren’t to blame is truly staggering! They constantly targeted McGregor and he lost his man a few times before eventually losing him for the first goal! To get to the stage were your bringing on Lewis Morgan as your first substitute is quite frankly an utter embarrassment! He defends boli after the Motherwell game then drops him 3 days later and replaces him with our best midfielder, Scot brown was chasing shadows over in Romania and again tonite, u got 3-2 up with 10 min to go yet 10 million pounds worth of defenders still sit on the bench when you should have shut up shop!

Now Lennon says our exit might stop him bringing quality in! Is he having a laugh! This season will quickly spiral out of control if we don’t make the EL groups and lose a few days later at the asbestos dome! This was on the cards have no doubt that! As soon as they offered lennon the job without even trying to see who else was available I knew then it reeked of lawell getting hiself involved again! Hence why lustig is away, Sinclair frozen out and KT off! Drive out the big earners and replace them with inferior players! Utter shambles from top to bottom and i for one have had it with incompetence from the lawell and his lackies!
