Any substance to the Zeigler links Ed? Seen that the Scotsman rag have said we are interested.

{Ed007's Note - Last I heard he had agreed to go to Spain mate, Real Betis I think it was.}

1.) 07 Sep 2017 21:35:53
Cheers Ed just seems like they're drumming up old stories then.

{Ed007's Note - Looks like it although LB is probably our weakest position numbers wise.}

2.) 08 Sep 2017 17:13:34
I think that Swiss guy can play CB too.

3.) 09 Sep 2017 00:00:43
Would be ideal cover and would hopefully end the Miller at LB experiment although he's done a good job in there.

Few reports saying Spurs have met Dembeles agent twice in the past week. Isn't that tapping up if true? As they haven't agreed a fee with us or given permission?

1.) 30 Aug 2017 20:23:24
Not unless they meet the player himself.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 22:08:37
does the agent only have 1 player?

07 Jul 2017 23:09:15
Celtic are eyeing up move for Manchester City starlet Olivier Ntcham according to reports.

1.) 07 Jul 2017 23:46:31
Reckon this is on.

2.) 08 Jul 2017 00:31:27
I honestly don't know what to believe anymore lads! Last week Brendan hinted something was close, then we were linked with musonda! Now it's this lad! I'll believe someone is signing when they'r standing with a Celtic top on!

3.) 08 Jul 2017 00:53:08
Ntcham looks like a good prospect. Very strong, powerful as the manager stated he was going for.

Could be usual media 2+2= City player looking for a move, fits with the rumours.

4.) 08 Jul 2017 09:31:59
We seem to be linked with every Chelsea Liverpool and Manchester player that is becoming available.
Will just wait till I see them in the hoops to get excited.

5.) 08 Jul 2017 10:45:25
Agree guys, Getting a bit ridiculous the amount of people we are being linked with. Almost like the media have no clue, Yet there seems to be no movement on this strong, Powerful player as of yet.

6.) 08 Jul 2017 10:49:24
Don't know anything about him but trust the gaffer.

The cynic in me also says we might have someone signed and ready to be paraded but the PR team wanted to hold off until Monday to get maximum impact after the hilarity from across the city this week.

7.) 08 Jul 2017 11:16:51
Ntcham looks like a player. Confident on the ball, deadly final pass, something we lacked in that roll last season I believe. Rogic is still a player I love at Celtic but he needs someone to challenge for that 10 role. Im hoping we see more of Eboue this year, he's obviously well thought of especially paying near enough 4m for a "project player". Benyu will also be a factor eventually.

8.) 08 Jul 2017 19:05:36
I've never heard of him and i've never watched his so called highlights on google either. I'd rather we signed wee John McGinn and bought a decent centre half to play with Jozo.

9.) 08 Jul 2017 18:48:24
Pic doing rounds a somebody on pitch at CP, meant to be him but could be anyone lol.

01 Jul 2017 23:26:57
See we are being linked with Charley Musonda of Chelsea again. Fee of £4.5/ 5m being quoted.

1.) 02 Jul 2017 00:01:26
Was this the boy u said got a tour of the stadium? Not seen him play to be honest, is he any good? Seems likes there's something happening soon by the way Brendan's been talking. didn't get the chance to reply to the last question u answered lol! Was expecting a centre half to be honest.

2.) 02 Jul 2017 11:19:36
He looks the part but where does this leave Rogic?

3.) 02 Jul 2017 11:14:54
thats the very man lh, he sounds a good one.

4.) 02 Jul 2017 12:27:51
Viking, I asked myself same question. Very similar players by all accounts. Musonda is youn though and can play on both wings, wondering if BR may think he can coach him
Into right wing? Him and Rogic could share shifts like Roberts and Forrest did but can't imagine Rogic would be happy with that. Duverne was the signing I was hoping for but this kid sounds like a good move nevertheless.

5.) 02 Jul 2017 14:48:53
Viking i would say it leaves him competing for the number 10 role.
Which in my opinion is good for the team. Every position in the team should have at least 2 good player competing and pushing others for a starting place. Makes them raise their game.

6.) 02 Jul 2017 16:26:46
If we have those 2 competing for no 10 spot and then bring in a centre half and retain our core team, I'd be proper chuffed. Add Paddy to that and I'm putting money on us winning the CL 😂😂😂.

7.) 02 Jul 2017 19:14:55
Pretty much sums some of our thinking . Where does that leave rogic? As much as I admire rogic if the boy we sign is better then I'd say it leaves rogic on the bench . Is that not what big clubs aim to do . If we signed Ronaldo would someone say where does that leave dembele . If rogic is better he'll start, it's as simple as that .

8.) 02 Jul 2017 19:25:59
Why not a front 4 of dembele sinclair rogic and musonda?

9.) 02 Jul 2017 23:54:56
Musonda played on either side in La Liga so not sure Rogic's place is really at threat if we signed him.

10.) 05 Jul 2017 22:45:29
Musonda won't be playing for the home side at Celtic Park next season or any season . Just like McCarthy all talk and no signature.

30 Jun 2017 13:51:36
A few rumours about us signing Lazar Markovic. Surely we can't afford him and didn't think we was looking for loans?

Ntcham needs hooked already he's been gash such a struggle to watch.

1.) 27 Sep 2017 21:42:55
He started very poorly but bhoy did he grow into that. One of the best on the park by the end.

2.) 27 Sep 2017 21:46:15
Totally different player in the 2nd half. fair play to the big man. superb!

3.) 27 Sep 2017 23:29:49
Agree with most of the comments re N'cham. One thing I did like was that even when not going well for him at the start. tbf having a mare. he made himself available and didn't try to hide. Especially in someone so young. so well done Sir🍀🍀🍀.

Hi Ed, Just seen the annual results have been released. Can you help me make sense of it as I'm terrible with that kind of thing. £90.6m in group revenue and with all the other income we only made £6.9m profit? Is that even good? So if we failed to qualify for the group stages we'd be making a loss?

{Ed007's Note - Jamie's your man for this. Now we've got him I don't need to hurt my brain trying to understand it all :)

1.) 20 Sep 2017 22:09:45
Yes it is all good bt share price going in the right direction mate

For me, It's never too good to make such a massive profit even as big as that because bt you are taxed ON your profits mate am surprised at that profit it's certainly well UP on last year and really shows we could have spent a bit more

The club unlike most others has never been in a healthier fiscal position I felt this would happen and indicated to anyone interested they should invest in shares of the club and the share price has jumped 30 % since then

Once the hotel goes up that 180 bedroom hotel will only add to value in my opinion there is nearly £100 million in difference between us and Sevco in value bt now that is what I call a gap mate (y)

2.) 20 Sep 2017 22:13:39
Think this is why accountants were invented, revenue was £90.6 million, expenses are £76.3 million, so the difference is £14.3 million, but the profit before tax is £6.9million, but then the debt to the bank is £ 17.9 million, so that has to be serviced, so that is whatever, but is that not in the expenses?, don't ask me, I am not an accountant, I am a nosy bastard.

3.) 21 Sep 2017 19:17:20
Thanks for explaining it, Thought that didn't seem too much money for how well we've been doing. Be interesting to see the other lots figures no doubt operating at huge losses fielding a team they can't afford to keep pace with us. It is good to know we can be comfortable with the squad we have and still make profit if only everyone followed suit.

4.) 22 Sep 2017 03:32:17
jamie: the one question about our financial results I have is this:
Our Operating expenses increased by 33.3% to £76.3m: That to me is a bit concerning. Now is that players/ managers wages or just overall cost: if that's the case and we don't make it into the group stages of the CL then we are down a lot of money which will impact on our operation/ Profit/ loss:?

5.) 22 Sep 2017 15:59:52
Peter mate, no getting away from the fact BR is on a much bigger wage than RD but you will have player / staff bonuses for reaching the CL plus matchday costs, travel, hotels etc.

Having made the CL we are up circa 75% n turnover mate but profits are up by my reckoning £1,150 % that is stupid IMO our accounts run to the end of June our last profit was £600k mate but TEN days later Ncham arrives through the door that was daft IMO because our profits are subject to TAX! Make a profit by all manner of means but not that at that level I cannot see DD being happy at that PROFIT margin mate for that reason UNLESS he is thinking of moving on and showing any incomers we make that kid of profit ;-/

If we don't make CL we just cut our cloth accordingly and to be fair they have that down to a fine art mate IMO alneit sometimes it is at the expense of the product on the park (Y) Enjoy Portugal BTW.

14 Sep 2017 12:46:16
Hi Ed, what's the updates on the injuries. Dembele, Boyata, Sviatchencko and Kouassi.

{Ed007's Note - Dembele started back full training on Monday so could be in contention for some game time against Ross County at the weekend or Dundee next midweek ahead of visiting Ibrox. Boyata has been back in training for a while and again could make Saturday's match against Ross County while Sviatchenko is maybe a week behind him and still a doubt for the derby. Kouassi was rumoured to be out for 2 months so he's still a good bit away from being back in training.}

1.) 14 Sep 2017 13:54:56

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Moussa Dembele is back in the squad for Ross County game and Dedryck Boyata will be assessed tomorrow.

2.) 14 Sep 2017 15:40:56
Great news Ed they are both needed.

{Ed007's Note - I can't argue with that, Stan. Dembele, LG and Edouard battling for a starting slot should keep the strikers on their toes and hopefully banging in the goals.}

3.) 14 Sep 2017 16:25:44
Definitely, over the last 8 weeks Griffiths could have had an off day and still have been picked the following game due to no competition. With playing 1 striker and now having extra strikers to choose from it will put a bit of pressure on them knowing one bad performance and it's bench time. Boyata can't come in quick enough for me we need to start playing a settled back 4.

{Ed007's Note - At least we know if Boyata isn't playing tomorrow he'll be ready for the midweek game and get some game time under his belt before the trip to Anderlecht.}

4.) 14 Sep 2017 17:59:46
Great news. Think the defence needs to be more settled and be good to have another CB playing back there as Lustig and Biton has looked shaky.

5.) 14 Sep 2017 19:42:35
We'll be a better side with Boyata in, and particularly in Europe, with Dembele in.

09 Sep 2017 13:42:52
Just seen the PSG highlights and they look dodgy at the back. Metz should've went 2-1 up after their keeper done a Gordon. The straight red card was very harsh as Assou Ekotto looked to have got a touch on the ball. A few of their goals was fortunate too against 10 men. If we cut out the mistakes and don't get any controversial decisions then we could get a result against these.

1.) 09 Sep 2017 14:11:01
I'm going for 3-2 Celtic on Tuesday.

2.) 09 Sep 2017 15:08:59
We are shaky at the back too so maybe 6-5 Celtic?

3.) 09 Sep 2017 15:13:47
I know nothing about PSG so can't comment on our chances. But our best form of defence is attack without being cavalier. We're better going forward than at the back and when we took the game to Man City they didn't enjoy it especially in the cauldron that will be Celtic Park on the night. ☘️.

4.) 09 Sep 2017 18:11:01
If we get an early goal and the fans on our side we have a chance but I suspect it will be a very tough night for us.

5.) 09 Sep 2017 21:11:12
I'm personally not holding out much hope for psg, just as long as we don't embarrass ourselfs but I strongly fancy fancy us to get something in Brussels I think Brendan has us set up as a good European side away from home hh.

6.) 09 Sep 2017 23:31:28
We are a far better team than Metz and the atmosphere always gives us an upper hand. Any result would be good as I can't see Anderlecht getting anything from them.

31 Aug 2017 23:21:45
Just speculation but can see it being the usual late Citeh loan for a CB and Adarabioyo was meant to be going on loan to Sunderland which looks like it hasn't materialised so may end up going in for him.

Was thinking that too his distribution is one of the worst I've seenever and I was thinking the same about the penalties. Can anyone name a penalty Gordon has saved for Celtic? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

If the Northern Irish don't qualify I'don't be happy with Michael O'Neill. Gets results out of an average overaged squad of players. Ideally someone that will bring through the next gen of players.

A penalty is a penalty. Athletico got one against Chelsea for less. Not to mention that their defender blocked the ball with his hand too makes it even more of a stonewaller.
