Just seen BR on record as saying the agreement with PSG for Edouard isn't £7m as some people are making out but he isn't saying what it is. Any inside info on what it could be? Be ideal if it is a few million less.

1.) 22 Mar 2018 08:35:07
Probably less, I’d imagine the 7 million fee will be dependant on appearances in champions league etc over s couple over years or something. But the literal fee being less than the 7m, this fee was quoted by media outlets so very few people will really know the details of the contract. No really got a clue but that’s a guess.

2.) 22 Mar 2018 14:07:40
A web site claims the price is half that amount.

3.) 22 Mar 2018 14:30:11
If he was at Chelsea they’d be wanting 25 million.

4.) 22 Mar 2018 19:15:58
Half would be good business especially if there's a decent sell on percentage.

5.) 22 Mar 2018 22:37:13
Let's hope the French media have done a Drecord sevco style spin and we get him for 3.

6.) 23 Mar 2018 12:29:04
Ridiculous if it is only £3m when you consider the money we've blown on Pukki, Blade, Ciftci, Bangura he's better than all of them and still got huge potential to get even better.

7.) 24 Mar 2018 01:27:28
I agree.
It's our biggest problem. Wages wise in Europe we spend bar England. To go that bit further we don't seem to break the 4m bracket that often. Ncham being one example . Not sure of his exact fee but he is first 11 without a project tag attached.

14 Mar 2018 18:49:54
According to reports in the Bundesliga Celtic are interested in signing Hamburg CB Papadopolous. Not sure how legit this is as it says he's 28 whereas on Wikipedia it says he was born in 1992.

1.) 14 Mar 2018 21:38:20
Does he not run the laundry in Eastenders?

2.) 15 Mar 2018 01:00:29
Sounds a bit Greek.

07 Mar 2018 12:49:49
Celtic has supposedly enquired about Red Star Belgrade CB Vujadin Savic valued at £1.5m and also interested in Nick Powell from Wigan too.

15 Jan 2018 23:30:33
Stuart Armstrong out until late February after undergoing a hernia operation.

1.) 15 Jan 2018 23:47:24
If that's true he's going nowhere this month then!

2.) 16 Jan 2018 12:40:40
What's to dislike about this? Clearly not a rumour it's a fact!

3.) 16 Jan 2018 13:16:11
Just read that myself.
(all those extra swimming lessons for his wee mate down the pool has done him in)
He is going no where indeed. Adds another hilarious twist to the false tabloid 10m patter.
Might explain a few things. Used sparingly, off pace and looking uninterested? Playing through pain. I've not done much of it this season on here but I've moaned a bit about his displays. I'll humbly retract, my only resentment lays at the medical teams door if he was made to play till the point the the op was needed. He is our player and if he should of went under the knife in November it should of happened then.
Step up kouassi. Can't see that loan deal happening now.
That injury has cancelled out a signing and definetly the opportunity for top dollar for a departure.

11 Jan 2018 07:59:41
Being linked to Chancel Mbemba from Newcastle.

1.) 11 Jan 2018 08:35:13
BR has already rubbished claims thankfully as he's barking lol.

2.) 11 Jan 2018 09:13:06
I actually think he's a cracking player. He was a regular at anderlecht and is a belgium international, he's certainly better than what we have.

3.) 11 Jan 2018 11:43:29
He was very decent at Anderlecht. Mind him being best CB signing in Fifa lol and seen a couple of games where he stood out which obv led to Newcastle signing him. but has been terrible for Newcastle and is very small for a CB as well so not too upset that it seems we have no interest.

Would much rather go for the Bulgarian mentioned on the Banter page, although that's the only place I've seen of any Celtic interest.

4.) 11 Jan 2018 12:14:33
was a standout last season in efl, which imo is a step up from our league, would be a great signing.

5.) 11 Jan 2018 12:40:47
Mates a Newcastle fan and he uses him. Says he's strong and quick and he'd be gutted if he was to leave.

6.) 11 Jan 2018 12:52:17
You don't necessarily need to be 6ft to be a cb, look at puyol for example, he was even smaller than mbemba.

7.) 11 Jan 2018 20:30:15
Fair play I've not seen a lot of Newcastle this season so the lad must of massively improved.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 00:03:03
Think he says he has only played about 8 games and was meant to say rates him not uses him lol. Seeing reports saying a swap with Simunovic would suit both parties as Rafa wanted him last season. Never really heard of the guy myself is anyone else clued up on it he is he better than the likes of Coetzee or Duverne?

Hi Ed, Just been reading about Simunovics international dilemma what's your views on it? Bit harsh on the young guy imo considering he hasn't even played for Bosnia. But in youth you can chop and change when you feel like it like Karamokos situation.

{Ed007's Note - I've not really got an opinion on it although I did like the part where he told them he wanted to concentrate on playing for Celtic, if only more of our players would do the same.}

1.) 18 Mar 2018 17:53:50
Do you think the KT injury is legit or is that more of a tactical way of getting him out of international duties?

{Ed007's Note - I did think of that myself.}

2.) 18 Mar 2018 19:43:13
He was definitely in the columba club in Coatbridge yesterday at the bar, my cousin sent a picture, maybe he was reeking this morning or maybe he had a couple cos he wasn't playing, who knows.

3.) 19 Mar 2018 22:32:32
He regularly claims he doesn't drink . I suppose that will only encourage some fans to claim they saw him drinking.

4.) 20 Mar 2018 08:40:15
Never said a saw him drinking. My cousin saw him at the bar and sent me a photo to get me to come out drinking with him. The photo is just him standing at the bar waiting to get served. He could've been buying a pint of orange juice or a pint of lager either one is fine by me if he knows he's not playing.

06 Mar 2018 13:04:21
Confirmed that it is Collum to ref Sundays game with Dallas as 4th official! Trying their best to keep this title race alive!

1.) 06 Mar 2018 14:02:32
What title race? Don't believe what the media tell u.

2.) 06 Mar 2018 14:44:16
I actually prefer Collum to guys like beaton Madden or Dallas
Collum is just a poor ref. He's not a cheat.
The other 3 don't even try to hide what they do.

3.) 06 Mar 2018 14:47:17
Gollum.

4.) 06 Mar 2018 14:52:39
It makes no difference what establishment, honest mistake merchant we get as long as the team do the business.
Although things may change when we get VAR in Scotland.
(Vatican Assisted Referee) ha ha ha.

5.) 06 Mar 2018 14:54:46
When was the last time there was a decent referee in Scotland. Will need an answer from you oldies on this one i'm only 39 😁.

6.) 06 Mar 2018 16:23:33
Stan Petrov 19 I’m 69 and remember a good referee called Hugh Phillips, then he gave Celtic two penalties in the 1965-66 league cup final against rangers and that was the end of his career. Maybe it had something to do that he was one of our own some things never change . oldkilly.

7.) 06 Mar 2018 16:57:38
Cheers oldkilly, I'm not surprised by that. Good referees in Scotland are few and far between. Not just with ourselves there has been incidents with other clubs recently they are very poor, they look a level below amateur.

8.) 06 Mar 2018 17:37:58
If you think these guys are bad wait until Craig Napier gets here.

He is one of the young refs coming through just now.

9.) 06 Mar 2018 18:46:50
head soup taker.

10.) 06 Mar 2018 18:50:25
Kev83, I doubt if you could describe Collum as an incompetent referee not a biased ref . Hold your assessment until after Sunday's game .
We will all be sitting near someone who claims to be a Celtic fan but if there is any period of the game we are not over powering them completely, our so called fans will take it out on whatever Celtic player they have taken a dislike too. At a time like this we should politely ask the loud mouths to leave off our players and get at the referee if he is giving decisions against us.

11.) 06 Mar 2018 22:37:08
Agree he isn't biased he is literally hopeless and a bit card happy. Anyone fast tracked through by Hugh can't be trusted though. As always I'm just hoping for a clean referees performance all round amd let the better team on the day win. us. There's no room for passengers in this fixture Chris.

12.) 07 Mar 2018 08:05:17
Old man chris. I have watch Collum for years now and have actually met him on several occasions. The guy isn't a cheat in my opinion he's just end rotten ref.

13.) 08 Mar 2018 01:03:19
Kev83 .
I was always advised to be careful of the company I kept .
I know thank my dead parents for advising me to steer clear of cheats and con men, they have a skill in taking people in who then trust them no matter what .
Gullible Kev83 . How did W Collum use the eyes in the back of his head to give a penalty against Celtic . Had Specsavers new trial package available and why did they not mass produce these back of the head eves.

03 Mar 2018 13:01:29
Has John Beaton been instructed to man mark Ntcham? That's 3 times he's got in his way already!

25 Feb 2018 18:53:40
So McInnes reckons our 2nd goal was a moment of madness from them. Nothing to do with the fact it was a really well crafted counter attack and finish. And apart from the goals we didn't have any other chances? Total discredit to Woodman who kept them in it as well as the woodwork too! That guy is so bitter.

1.) 25 Feb 2018 19:16:35
McInnes decided to commit men forward once we got Lustig sent off. When you do that you always run the risk of a quick counter.

If he did not want to run that risk he should not have committed so many men forward. The blame lies at his door, so he should stop trying to deflect away from his own inadequacies.

2.) 25 Feb 2018 20:17:59
0-1 down and 11v10 if it was madness then I'm not sure what his gameplan was. Wasn't he wanting his team to commit players forward to try get back into the game? Or was he just hoping one of the many freekicks Madden gave then would allow them to launch it in the box and hope a goal will come of it? Just seems to have excuses for his own failings and that his team bottle the big games.

15 Feb 2018 22:03:25
Proud of that performance. Individually so many players back to their best as well as Brendan and his gameplan. Hope big Kouassi has silenced his critics on here too! The only criticism is that we only scored the one. Well done bhoys! HH.

1.) 15 Feb 2018 22:16:23
I still don't think we'll go through but tonight was a performance focused on credibility and I reckon we should be proud of our Bhoys. HH.

2.) 15 Feb 2018 22:24:34
Oh get lost 😂 how can you still be negative after that performance.

3.) 15 Feb 2018 22:41:08
I'm not negative, I'm proud of our Bhoys tonight and I haven't said anything to criticise our performance. It's half time, I don't think we'll go through, but I hope I'm wrong. HH.

4.) 15 Feb 2018 23:10:52
Be tougher over there but hopefully a confidence boost and what the team needed to get back to last seasons form. Maybe a few back from injury can play a part too. Bold to leave Sinky out completely too. Could've been a whole lot better as they should've had 2 red cards.

{Ed007's Note - I'm confident of scoring over there and if we draw first blood Zenit look like they could fall apart and also lose their discipline.}

5.) 16 Feb 2018 00:07:20
Yes Ed, we have a chance and that's more than many of us would have believed before tonight. HAIL HAIL to the Super Celtic! HH.

{Ed007's Note - That result - and more so the actual performance - should hopefully reinvigorate the team/squad AND the fans. There's going to be blips and spells when we're struggling but we've got a young squad that can only get better.
Zenit were the highest scoring team in the EL and we kept them out with Lustig who's supposedly finished, Jozo who's supposedly a bombscare and Ajer who supposedly will never be a CB as our defence oh and a 37-year-old GK who hasn't kicked a ball in anger for eons!
All joking aside I thought DDVs distibution was immense tonight and it shows the difference having a 'keeper that can consistently find a man with his ouu ball.}

Watching videos on YouTube he looked strong and powerful but seeing him walk on the pitch he is built like a 12 year old. Plus whenever he's played he's been kicked all over the park. Needs to bulk up a little in the gym.

Aberdeen can still play a hand in when we win the league. Regardless of our form or Sevcos dipping they could help with us winning the title against Sevco. I'd rather finish with 5 wins. Although the performances haven't been there I always think the 90 point mark is always a good tally to achieve.

I wouldn't mind Swedish Isaac Kiese Thelin currently on loan at Beveren in Belgium. Currently having a good season and looks tidy.

I can see both moving on in the summer. Ntcham has shown he is capable of replacing Armstrong. But Rogic will be tough to replace. Maybe Musonda might get his chance if that's the case but it still isn't a replacement only a stop gap until the following season. But if reports are true that'll be DDV, Boyata, Bitton, Gamboa, Armstrong, Allan, Roberts, Rogic, Dembele, Edouard and potentially Simunovic all going in the summer. First team squad returning would be Morgan, Christie, Ralston, Sviatchenko, Benyu and Ciftci. Can say the 3 latter look like they don't have a future either. So we've bigger problems than replacing just Armstrong and Rogic.

Only way Parker was ever going to win was on the inside. Ref was in every single time splitting it up stealing the limelight. Ruined the fight imo. Povetkin v Price was a better fight.

£3m + Allan should be enough. Gets rid of him as he's clearly not fancied by BR. I would keep Christie as there's still question marks over Rogic especially if he impresses at the World Cup. Think Christie offers a better attacking threat than McGregor in the final third but McGregor is the better rounded player and stronger further back.
