anyone any news on wee Griff for tomorrow night?

JJPD-CSC

{Ed007's Note - LG and Sviatchenko took part in a full training session this morning before the squad fly to Norway this afternoon.}

1.) 01 Aug 2017 12:22:29
Thats good news ed especially griff.

{Ed007's Note - LG being fit could make all the difference tomorrow night. I'm hoping he'll be desperate to make up for missing last week's match and the rest of the team surely can't play as bad as they did last week.}

2.) 01 Aug 2017 12:30:51
As much as he's been off the boil recently, I'd like to have Erik in beside Jozo tomorrow if he's fit enough. No harm at all to Ajer, he was great last week but tomorrow we could do with experience.

3.) 01 Aug 2017 13:26:32
If leigh makes it tomorrow who do u play behind him?

Callum or tom?

4.) 01 Aug 2017 13:26:56
Good stuff Ed. cheers for the info as always mate.

{Ed007's Note - You're welcome buddy.}

5.) 01 Aug 2017 14:12:25
Only thing erik has over young ajer is experience but I would go with ajer he sailed through last week with flying colours.

6.) 01 Aug 2017 14:29:34
Agree mally! Was a massive fan of Erik, especially when he first came in! Something's happened to him but, don't know if he wants to be here or it's just lack of confidence but for me ajer should start! My team would be
Gordon
Lustig jozo ajer KT
Brown mcgregor
Hayes rogic Sinclair
Griff
Really rate ntcham but he's not up to speed yet and wee mcgregor coming off a hat trick all be it in a friendly must start! For me Armstrongs mind ain't In it and looks like a player who doesn't want to be there!

7.) 01 Aug 2017 14:31:48
Kc. drop ntcham play mgregor.

8.) 01 Aug 2017 17:08:03
Wee Griff at the airport HAHAHA "yir clubs deid beat it"!

9.) 01 Aug 2017 18:55:10
The way Rodgers has always worked with players coming back from injury is give them 20/ 30 mins at the end.

I won't be suprised if he starts with Forrest or Sinclair and then brings Griffiths on.

He won't want the nightmare of starting him and then he pulls up after 20 mins and we are snookered.

10.) 01 Aug 2017 19:48:30
I honestly hope he sticks with Ajer, he looks more assured and calm on the ball. Erik has been all over the place the last fw games he played, even when we played Linfield he was grabbing and fouling players.
If he plays and does that against Rosenborg they will end up getting a penalty.

11.) 01 Aug 2017 22:11:15
Hi Ed

Is there any truth to the louis moult links or are they just paper talk?

{Ed007's Note - What links?}

10 Jul 2017 16:23:55
Kyle Jameson, a young chelsea CH is on trail. only signed with chelski 6 months ago.

JJPD-CSC

1.) 10 Jul 2017 17:22:47
Sounds decent but heard its only a season long loan and we have Ajer who can play there, rather give Ajer game time tbh.

2.) 10 Jul 2017 18:19:25
It was a short contract he signed with Chelsea he only has one year left so if he is to come in on a years loan he is free to join at the end of it.

3.) 10 Jul 2017 19:49:29
Stan is 100% correct he signed a 18 month contract in January.

4.) 10 Jul 2017 20:36:51
Strange one really, Would be a kick in the teeth to Ajer if he is behind him in the pecking order. Would this put to bed any hope of us signing Duverne do you think ED?

{Ed007's Note - Nah, he's only a kid with little experience and I think it would take him a season or two to be ready for any chance of first team action.
Ajer is miles ahead of him in his development.}

5.) 10 Jul 2017 21:37:22
On the topic duverne. Is there any news on the progress of the bid?

{Ed007's Note - Lille have tabled a second bid for Duverne but the players not keen on moving there and Lens want him to stay for another year but playing another year in the 2nd division doesn't seem to appeal to him. With Boyata's injury I'm wondering if Celtic are will to wait on what I suspect could be a long drawn out affair because of Lens stance.}

6.) 10 Jul 2017 23:05:17
Cheers Ed. Also any news on KT? Seen he isn't in the original CL squad?

{Ed007's Note - KT will be on the B list of home grown youngsters that doesn't need to be registered until the night before the game.}

7.) 11 Jul 2017 00:07:31
Just a thought ED do u think the new boy if he signs what number will he be given? 7/ 67.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think it'll be 7, he's not the type of player that usually wears that number.}

8.) 11 Jul 2017 14:38:07
7 is for roberts hopefully.

9.) 11 Jul 2017 16:58:46
Does anyone know if ntchams definitely signing?

17 Aug 2016 12:42:47
looks like wee Henderson's not going to Hibs according to NL.

JJPD-CSC

1.) 17 Aug 2016 12:46:45
rotherham i think, hopefully on loan.

2.) 17 Aug 2016 13:42:34
Lennons said he wasnt going to hibs because it wouldn't be a loan deal Bhoywonder.

3.) 17 Aug 2016 14:52:43
Ah ok JJ.

Hi Ed, Have you heard anything about Scott Allan being a bad trainer or unfit? just trying to comprehend why he is always dropped out the squad. think everyone that's watched him would agree he is a proper ball playing center mid.

JJPD-CSC

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't agree with that but according to the Celtic support who bizarrely spent a season watching Hibs in the lower leagues, Scott Allan could possibly be THE best player Scotland has ever produced. Every manager who's worked with him have been wrong, including Stubbs, and if Brendan Rodgers doesn't build his team around him he should be sacked.
Never mind a statue, one day Celtic Park will be called The Scott Allan Arena after the future Nobel Prize winner.
Scott Allan can collect PokemonGo from a land line!!}

1.) 28 Jul 2016 11:12:42
I am a supporter of at least giving him an extended run. Not based on watching Hibs, but what I have seen when I have watched him for Celtic. He looks classy to me. He certainly splits the support. Give him a proper chance and we will all know for sure.

{Ed007's Note - Scott Allan, classy - lmfao that's a belter. And you came to that conclusion watching him play for us? Last season he made 13 apps for us, that's the 3rd highest he's managed in his career for any of his 8 clubs and 2nd highest since 2011, so what did you see in the 380 league minutes you've seen him play in a Celtic strip that makes him classy?
When Allan was being lined up to be TRIFC's big signing the media were talking him up BIG time and the Celtic fans seem to have bought into that too, now I think people want him to succeed just to get one up on TRIFC. We've already got one up on them with Allan, they would havr built their team round him and yet he can't even make our bench.}

2.) 28 Jul 2016 11:23:32
Lord give me strenght. Scott Allan is nowhere near good enough to even sit on the bench. Give me an out of form injured scott brown over him anyday! Only reason some fans ate obsessed by him is because of the manner in which he was signed, ripping carpet from under the feet of sevco.

3.) 28 Jul 2016 12:12:43
The ONLY thing of note scott Allan has done his whole career is sign for us instead of them.
Prodigal Bhoy if Allan is so classy why did hibs have a better season with Liam henderson in the team instead of Allan?
Henderson Christie Mcgregor Armstrong and rogic have all achieved more than him in their career and 4 of them are younger.

4.) 28 Jul 2016 12:00:25
Never mind aw they future accolades Ed. Let's deal with the important stuff

Did he manage to get a shot on Big Isa's bones? :P (y)

{Ed007's Note - As if Scott Allan, peace be upon him, would bother himself with such mundane and normal human stuff like sex, not when there's a whole world out there to save. Accept Scott Allan into your life and thou shall be redeemed with justice, and His converts with righteousness. Let us pray.
We believe in one Scott,
The player, the Almighty,
Maker of passes and goals,
Of all that is seen and unseen...

5.) 28 Jul 2016 12:09:36
Ed, loving the sarcasm there "Scott Allan Arena"!

In my opinion, he's looked ok at best, however players like McGregor, Armstrong, Johansen, Bitton, Rogic, Henderson and Brown deserve more merit and a place in the side than him.

He certainly divides opinion however, as a few of my pals seem to think he could be the next messiah.

Although we have 165 or so players that can play in that position, i'd love another Wanyama/ Lennon type player in there to add a bit of steel, perhaps Ajer will be the answer. If not I wonder if N'Guemo is still kicking a ball about.

{Ed007's Note - I'd rather have someone like Paul Lambert in there, he was a better and more intelligent footballer than either Lennon or Wanyama.}

6.) 28 Jul 2016 12:33:14
I've accepted Scott Allen into my life Ed but don't feel any different am i doing it wrong?

{Ed007's Note - You need to work on it mate, there's people been worshipping him for nearly a year and are still disappointed he hasn't led us to CL glory and world domination yet. Have faith in future Celtic manager, Scott Allan.}

7.) 28 Jul 2016 12:34:07
Hilarious, Ed. My faither is a hibbee, and I watched a good bit of Allen in their colours for the sake of the banter. He stood out easily on many occassions and I can't see how a run in the team isn't meritted (like the OP) . Must be something to it, tho.

{Ed007's Note - Sadly for Scott Allan though, Celtic don't play in the Championship where he looked good. Were there any other players in the lower leagues of Scotland that caught you're eye that you think Celtic should sign? What about Dumbarton or QOTS, do they have a GK or CB we could sign?}

8.) 28 Jul 2016 12:56:00
I heard its the real reason Zlatan never signed, there can be only one god.

{Ed007's Note - Zinedine Zidane has a Scott Allan tattoo.}

9.) 28 Jul 2016 13:13:27
ED, after all that, would I be correct in thinking that you aren't his number one fan? .
I think that if at the age he is now he isn't holding down a regular place in the team, then there has to be a lot of shortcomings to his game, all these managers can't be wrong.

{Ed007's Note - Scott Allan never has been and never will be good enough to be a Celtic player. At nearly 25 years of age he's had one good season in the Scottish Championship and people think we should be building our team round him, it's craziness.}

10.) 28 Jul 2016 13:16:24
Just think what a Paul lambert would be worth in today's market ed 007?
True class.

{Ed007's Note - Lambert is one of the best footballers I've seen in the Hoops, Kev.}

11.) 28 Jul 2016 13:31:36
Okay Ed. you certainly do a belting line in sarcasm. At the risk of repeating myself. when I have seen him in the flesh he looked like he had time and without doubt he can pick a pass. You've got your opinion I have mine. So it was The Championship, well don't we pick up players from lesser teams and 'bring them on' by testing them at a higher level. He hasn't had a fair crack that's all I am saying. Maybe you are wrong. You championed Delia to the end, even when 20,000 fans said 'no more' and the man himself said he had come up short!

{Ed007's Note - Nobody's talking about RD so try to stick to the topic. I'll back any Celtic manager though, even ones I don't want in the job. You're backing a player that a lot more than 20,000 fans know isn't good enough, and what the hell does 'he had time' mean? He certainly didn't have time against Ajax when he was tested at a higher level.
So how many passes has he 'picked', actual numbers mate, the stats are out there so use them to back up your argument or all you are offering is a baseless opinion of he's a good player because you say so. How many assists has he made, what's his pass completion percentage, tackles won etc?
Remember there were people that thought Paddy McCourt should start every game.}

12.) 28 Jul 2016 13:43:58
Thanks Ed I'm not scared of hard work so will worship harder, just out off curiosity where is ZZ'S Allen tattoo 😂😃.

{Ed007's Note - On his chest close to his heart of course.}

13.) 28 Jul 2016 14:02:39
I agree ed007 lambert was a top player before and with celtic
Calvacanti and prodigal can I ask you both do you think did hibs have a better season with scott Allan in the team or with Liam henderson?

14.) 28 Jul 2016 14:06:37
No way Ed bringing out the big guns in paddy mccourt lol.

I don't mind Allen but I think there is better in the squad and at 24 years young when does a player stop having potential and actually become a good player.

Won't be devastated if he goes but wish him well of course.

{Ed007's Note - Of course there's better in the squad and in the youth squad too. The argument of people that want Allan playing is what he could do, in 13 appearances they can't say look at X match where he played well. I have never seen him play well as I never watched him playing against van drivers and part-timers apart from EK Thistle where he had another stinker. I'm convinced people only want him to succeed to get it up their TRIFC supporting mates.
Yet we have fans writing off Dembele who has just turned 20, moved to a new country and is playing catch-up with preseason after only 3 competitive matches, none of which he's been fit enough to play 90 mins in.}

15.) 28 Jul 2016 14:34:51
Prodigal bhoy, appropriate name, i assume it was in honour of the prodigal son Scott Allan. He made 1, count it, 1 fantastic pass against fenerbache and has a couple of decent touches in games however that is it.
If you can't make an impact coming off the bench why risk playing him regularly as any player worth their salt would burst a gut to show the manager he was good enough to be a regular starter, he hasn't done it in any games I've watched and clearly hasn't shown anything in training to warrant a striker start. He was signed as a publicity stunt by pistol Pete and that's all, not Celtic class.
As 4 20,000 shouting no more to Rd etc, don't include me or any of my family as you would never get us givin abuse to any Celtic manager and those who did are an absolute joke.

{Ed007's Note - I'm actually pretty shocked that another Celtic fan would use backing the Celtic manager to try and have a pop at me. #BestFansInTheWorld

16.) 28 Jul 2016 14:58:44
Think we should remember bhoys it is still pre season and it is too early to judge the players but it's also too early to judge performances of the team. I hate these qualifiers at this time of season it puts us at a disadvantage if you ask me but we are still in it.

We can't complain about players leaving as we need players out before they can come in and we need some fresh blood. Too many average players in the squad and Allen is just one of them. Keep the door open when he leaves if you ask me.

17.) 28 Jul 2016 15:46:43
Ed you ok mate?
You sound like your going to cry lol.

{Ed007's Note - I'm watching The Champ but that's some hearing you've got, Plug.}

18.) 28 Jul 2016 16:35:41
I've learned from the best. Scott Allen.

19.) 28 Jul 2016 22:14:41
Scott Allan may or may not have made it as footballer in the modern era.
One thing is certain he really hasn't got the work ethics needed in the modern game
A small group of Celtic fans may want to use S A to illustrate the weakness of the Celtic Manager but BR rates him even lower than R D . Managers plural usually get things right.

who is to say sinky would have done better up front? all his goals come from cutting in. i don't think Aitcheson looks an out and out striker either, is he ready for high pressure football and has he even started a competitive game? what quality strikers is going to want to come and fight it out with LG to play second fiddle to MD? Rogic didn't work as well as hoped. from this stage to last year we have lost 4 games twice to Barcelona and went undefeated domestically. now we are criticizing Rogers for playing a guy who plays of the striker up front. really get a grip folks. we where rusty we will win next week. enjoy the good times and stop looking for snow falling.
