Evening Ed, Don't post much rumours me but hearing that the Rangers game is likely to be the Fourth fixture of the five

Just wondering if anyone else hear anything or the same πŸ‘πŸ€.

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I've not been online much today mate so I don't know what's being said but I'm sure the 4th fixture is a night time K.O.}

1.) 10 Apr 2018 19:28:17
I heard the rangers game is the 2nd game but what would happen if Celtic lose the 1st game they win theirs it means our game v them is still a decider! Whole thing is a shambles and Celtic just need a win on sunday and then get this league done and dusted asap.

2.) 10 Apr 2018 22:38:51
Aberdeen can still play a hand in when we win the league. Regardless of our form or Sevcos dipping they could help with us winning the title against Sevco. I'd rather finish with 5 wins. Although the performances haven't been there I always think the 90 point mark is always a good tally to achieve.

Morning Ed,

Looks like Celtic updated there team squad pics for the forthcoming season already Ed

Ajer + McCart promoted to first team

Bailly + Fasan not there?

Any thoughts (Y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - Have they been fully updated, Jamie, there's players that's left the Club still listed on the Development Squad page? Bailly has been told to find another club and as far as I know Fasan's contract hasn't been renewed.}

1.) 30 Jun 2017 18:51:02
Just looked like it had an overhaul

Shame about Fasan, think he is top drawer saved two of his three pens at Port Vale but as soon as BR spoke about a ball playing goalie he would never fit that is his weakness.

07 Apr 2017 14:54:41
It's a new four year deal for BR folks that's the big news.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 07 Apr 2017 15:05:13
Is that to cover our backs when he does go?

2.) 07 Apr 2017 15:07:49
Well done celtic. what a statement! . you have made your supporters happy! .10 in a row bhoys HH.

3.) 07 Apr 2017 15:19:46
Rich T, are you one from the other side. Your negativity is bringing me down on this fine Friday. The man has signed a 4 year contract, how do you know he won't stay for 4 more years? Cheer up big man.

4.) 07 Apr 2017 15:22:52
HOW GOOD IS THAT.

5.) 07 Apr 2017 15:26:56
Here we go 10 in a row πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ† πŸ†.

6.) 07 Apr 2017 15:58:09
jamie hows the back? is it sorted yet?

7.) 07 Apr 2017 18:19:01
No jb67 getting a physio at home and talk of hydrotherapy got a medicated patch on it buddy but sore as hell getting in out the car pain is unbelievable mate πŸ‘.

{Ed007's Note - That's what happens when you try and lift your wallet yourself.}

8.) 07 Apr 2017 19:53:18
a bit of spanish sun on it should help jamie (if you can handle the flight) jamie doesn't have a wallet.

9.) 07 Apr 2017 20:04:20
Have to look on the bright side Ed, Back could have been so much worse in that case had I lifted YOUR wallet :-p.

{Ed007's Note - Away you and chip shite at the moon! :-D

20 Apr 2016 19:01:36
Chic Young just said om radio he believes the deal to make Moyes the new Celtic manager!

Said the deal is more or less done no other candidate's in the pipeline (y)

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 21 Apr 2016 09:32:47
i wouldn't believe chic young if he said ronny deila was thew current celtic manager.

2.) 21 Apr 2016 13:10:27
I honestly think the board will go all out to get a manager that will excite the fans and can attract decent players.

With the Orcs back in the league next year they cannot afford to make another mistake.

3.) 22 Apr 2016 19:25:59
We can only wait and see. Hopefully you're right.

4.) 23 Apr 2016 11:32:51
I very much doubt it unless DD has the say and not PL. Sadly Celtic only seems like a wee toy to DD.

5.) 24 Apr 2016 22:28:27
jonbhoy, the orcs are not back, next year will be their debut season. there is still an awful lot to come out in the wash,as for manager i think it will be safe option ie: lenny , or the fella baxter , wherever he is these days and is always linked. steve clarke is a good coach, not a great manager though.

01 Feb 2016 18:13:22
Just confirmed CK-R Signs a two year deal, cannot still believe that.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 01 Feb 2016 18:37:36
How does a guy like this meet our criteria in any shape or form?

2.) 01 Feb 2016 18:47:52
I took a days holiday for this transfer run in!

In all seriousness I wasn't expecting much but I would rather we signed nobody than CKR. Give the bhoy a chance though and all that. Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim Richards in our ranks. It's obvious why we aren't a CL club.

3.) 01 Feb 2016 19:05:33
Same old same old on this site everyone saying ckr isn't that good, give the guy a chance we got him on a free if I'm not mistaken and he has over 30 caps for turkey let's wait 6 months and judge him then if he is no good all we have lost is wages and a signing on fee which we would probes recup in selling him so it's a no lose imo, and let's be honest he can't be any worse than cifti can he?

4.) 01 Feb 2016 19:39:23
You took a days holiday for transfer deadline day. Have a word with yourself!
PS- Welcome to Celtic Colin. Please stay clear of any Celtic fans web pages.

5.) 01 Feb 2016 20:24:31
-Tamc1888

That statement, more than any I've ever read, shows how low our club has sunk. Disgraceful comment.

6.) 01 Feb 2016 20:53:26
@TAMC1888. CKR is another dud and a desperate sign of the chasm that develop between us and the rest of competitive European teams. He isn't free, what a ridiculous statement. He will be paid a 5 figure sum each week which drains our coffers for potentially 30 months .

Raging.

7.) 01 feb 2016 21:06:34
great signing.

8.) 01 Feb 2016 21:22:08
Thought it was pretty evident from the tone i wasn't being serious joeshmo. Stay away from fan pages? He'd be better of staying away from Glasgow.

9.) 01 Feb 2016 22:00:32
I'm more than willing to give the boy a chance but I just don't understand why we singed Carlton Cole, these 2 are very similar and I can't see Cole playing much unless CKR is total crap.

We now have Griffith, Cole, CKR with Stokes, Cifti and Scepovic on Loan

6 Strikers! Can't speak about CKR but his goals to game ratio is very good. You have to wonder who is responsible for these signings.

10.) 01 Feb 2016 23:30:50
Hey Tam he's played 37 times for Turkey and
Failed to score in 36 of them.

11.) 01 Feb 2016 23:43:01
Tamc I agree with you on This one. When did anyone last watch CKR in a run of games that can confidently comment on how good or not he is? As u said he has over 30 caps for turkey who are a good international team and he was free so pretty low risk if u ask me. Or we could spend 1.5m on ciftci. chow many caps does he have for the same country? Not that I'm saying CKR is any good but for a free transfer it's less of a risk. Maybe that's the new signing policy!

{Ed007's Note - He's had two caps since 2011, Marty, 37 caps in 9 years. We're not getting one of Turkey's better players here mate, not by a long shot. This is probably worse than Steven Fletcher.}

12.) 02 Feb 2016 01:29:48
Hmmm fair enough ed! Wasn't aware of that. I know you aren't expecting much from him with what you hve been saying, I haven't seen much of the guy at all so have no idea if he will do well or not. We can look at it two ways, club showing no ambition by signing free transfer or club being sensible by minimising risk from, previous strikers by getting a free transfer in! Hope the guy comes good as we were all wary when we signed lee griffiths so might be another?

{Ed007's Note - The only time I can remember hearing his name was for the wrong reasons. Why sign him 6 months after signing Ciftci and put Ciftci out on loan. We all know RD is meticulous in his planning so where are these bizarre short term deals coming from?
Without major investment in the squad during the summer I'm afraid the CL demanders are going to be very disappointed. Instead of losing deadwood we seem to be collecting more and more.}

13.) 02 Feb 2016 01:34:02
Just glad aberdeen didn't get him or carlton Cole they would probably win the league if they did we seem to be the only team unable to set up right ie Ross county must have been a joy for there fans.

14.) 02 Feb 2016 01:38:33
He played right back in most turkey games.

15.) 03 Feb 2016 18:29:29
I am glad so many of our posters are welcoming Richards and encouraging and hopefully build his confidence . A confident player is so much better than a player down in his confidence .

16.) 05 Feb 2016 01:07:02
Sorry but this was a dreadful signing. A crap scoring record, he will be even worse than Cifti : (

Here my Team for Hibs

Peterbhoy in goals as sorting officer he is rubbish with his hands 😝

Old man Chris, Jim Tim, Jungle Jim and Malika ( no pace between them

Jb67, Welshy, magic pole and Johnnymac in the middle (sometimes rat arsed and crabbit) so no comms between them

And me and Ed up front because the two of us could never score

If we are getting trounced bring on Kev83 because he can play a bit

Come on the Hibees, catch the zombies and we get to turn them over the following week for the party πŸ’ƒ they never wanted πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€πŸ€πŸ˜.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 16 Apr 2018 13:47:23
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

How old you got me down as big man? Those three are all 60+ aren't they?

2.) 16 Apr 2018 14:14:15
I was going to put Timalloy JT but am happy to get trounced not HORSEd lol.

3.) 16 Apr 2018 14:42:10
Would 'Walk' the League and never lie-doon to anybody - 5 mins each way with an hour break at HT and a massage from big Hayley.

4.) 16 Apr 2018 15:04:57
I can make my way to centre circle and literally lie doon! πŸ‘πŸ˜‚β˜˜οΈ.

5.) 16 Apr 2018 15:47:18
Don’t put me in Jamie, I would feck everything up by driving us in to a win helped in no small part by my own astonishing hat trick.

Put me on the bench, it’s too risky otherwise. :)

6.) 16 Apr 2018 16:13:48
Yes Jim Tim we are all over 60 but we need some legs in the middle of the park and that's you. Being serious, the way Brown played yesterday he could play for another 5 years. Super player. I honestly thought he was gone 3 seasons ago. Better than ever now. N'tcham is benefiting from being alongside him. What will we do when Brown goes? Dread to think.

{Ed007's Note - Remember I've only got one leg - and no Winston jokes!}

7.) 16 Apr 2018 16:23:06
@Jamiebhoy I will lay odds on your team, oh and by the way, any jokes on here must be approved by myself. "Horsed" do you want a "Turf War" or me "nagging" you ( NAGGING I said jamiebhoy lol) or I may have to put you "out to grass" ha ha.

8.) 16 Apr 2018 17:22:01
I've got a FURLONG to go to catch up with you Timbo :-P.

9.) 16 Apr 2018 18:33:49
I’m totally gutted at not to be picked for the banter page Sellick select just because I’ve been too pished to text properly on the live chat once or twice disnae mean ah should be drapped! ☘️.

10.) 16 Apr 2018 18:38:29
Football brain makes up for the lack of speed and stamina, but I would be worried that in the back four the brin like the legs would be over worked particularly down the right flank, could well need substituted during the warm up.

11.) 16 Apr 2018 19:07:56
Try your luck asking to play a half time game of 5s at broonys testimonial 😁.

12.) 16 Apr 2018 20:58:51
Jamie: that is Class mate: HOWEVER:

You forgot to add this stat that the player position should be based on WAIST SIZE.

so the formation would now be
11-0-0 .

03 Apr 2018 18:37:11
So CG plays tomorrow night because SB can't play against parent club, well I hope Bain gets the gloves back for the weekend

The boy has not put a foot wrong in my eyes.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 03 Apr 2018 19:21:27
Bain is also Cup Tied for the Semi. IMO Gordon will be in Goal for the next few games.
As Henry is also Cup Tied I can see Ajer and Jozo playing as the Central Defence pairing. I don't think we'll play a back 3 against Sevco.
Then again I'm not the Manager, any thoughts folks?

{Ed007's Note - Bain isn't cup-tied. I thought that too until the other week but I'm certain it was reported he was when we signed him. He was on the bench for Hibs tie with Hearts - the current rules state a player has to take the field in a game to become cup-tied - and our bench for the Partick and Morton ties.}

2.) 03 Apr 2018 20:05:07
J7 give him the gloves back he’s not put a foot wrong! I love a wee mixed metaphor brother. I remember reading an article 20 odd years ago it might have been in the Daily Rager which I wouldn’t wipe my proverbial with now that said β€˜Somewhere down the road Celtic’s ship went off the rails’. πŸ˜‚ Agree totally and I’m a minority CG fan SB has been excellent as has the young laddie Hendry. πŸ‘β˜˜οΈ.

3.) 03 Apr 2018 20:06:56
Ed, that’s great news about Bain. I’ve been impressed with his performances so far. Let’s hope we’ve found a gem but he’ll need to play a lot more games before we’ll really know if this is the case.

{Ed007's Note - Bain's proven that he's at least a capable No.2 for us. I'll be happy if we can get him on a free but I'd still like a new No.1 to come in.}

4.) 03 Apr 2018 21:12:33
I like what I've seen of him so far but I would like to see a bit more of him before deciding if he is good enough to be the number 1.
I don't know what his situation was but if he wasn't holding down a first team spot at Dundee or Hibs then he must have some weaknesses in his game.

{Ed007's Note - Bain had a major falling out with Neil McCann and was suspended by Dundee, up until then he was their No.1 and he only joined Hibs on the 1st of January basically to get away from McCann. I've said for a few years that he was a good 'keeper but like you I'm not convinced he's ready to be our No.1, especially when it comes to Europe.}

5.) 03 Apr 2018 21:32:42
Could be wrong but I think I remember reading it was a contract dispute. Dundee wanted Bain to sign a extension but he intended to let his contract run down so McCann decided to let him rot on the bench.

{Ed007's Note - He never even made their bench, Kev, he was officially suspended by Dundee. He was fined for something that happened after Dundee's 3-1 loss to Accies and refused to pay it and as far as I know the PFA are still appealing the fine.}

6.) 03 Apr 2018 22:15:07
Let’s not get carried away with Bain as a number 1 or as second choice. I am no CG fan or De Vries fan but Bain for me is not the solution. No better than CG, so don’t mind what one of them is number 2, just need a much better first choice keeper. Neither are that.

7.) 04 Apr 2018 10:09:08
I think BR would not have any of the those keepers in the team if he did not rate them and it give's him an the option to rotate and learn from each other.

I think we should give the keepers more credit than we do, as they where involved in the teams unbeaten run/ titles/ cups as well, they kept goal through the CL/ CL.

Bain and the young keeper out on loan are the future if they can cut it. IMO i would like to buy a keeper and i know they are not cheap.

Anyone got stats on goals conceded while the 2 main keepers have been at Celtic. I don't know if that means they are good or the team was good protecting them. hai hail.

8.) 04 Apr 2018 13:52:01
correct jamie.

9.) 04 Apr 2018 13:55:13
he was on the bench against morton.

04 Mar 2018 18:57:07
Evening Ed,

When do they normally do the post split fixtures?

In early estimation with league positions as is that probably be two games against the Sevco in the one week?

Probably to hard to get away from that to avoid that game being a decider πŸ‘πŸ€πŸ€.

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I can't see any official date of when they announce the post-split fixture mate. Last season it was the 13th of April they were announced and we played Ross County in our final game before the split on April 16th and this year we play Dundee midweek, the 4th, and Accies on the 8th and the first game after the split - that'll be against TRIFC as usual - is the weekend of the 21st so you're right, there will be two games against them in the space of a week.}

1.) 04 Mar 2018 20:50:39
ED007 and Jamiebhoy, you must remember the time under Lennon when we played them 3 times in a month twice in league and once in cup, we won all 3 games, if I remember right the cup win was the one where fat Sally "whispered" in Lennon;s ear and a big fracas ensued.
So I say bring them on hail hail.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly, Tim. It's just another couple of games against another mediocre Scottish team. They're relying on our poor form simply because they know if we turn up they don't have a chance, even with our so called dodgy defence we're still keeping a lot of clean sheets whereas they're shipping goals in nearly every game.}

2.) 04 Mar 2018 22:39:21
It doesn't matter when or how often we meet them . If we play as well as we did yesterday, and that was only fair or average we will have too much for the referee backed Rangers . Remember it is Rangers 2012 we are playing who are at the disadvantage of not been able to raise enough money to cheat . There are no EBT's in the Rangers 2012 outfit, rather waifs and strays gathered from clubs like Accrington Stanley .

3.) 04 Mar 2018 22:58:31
Still cheating now Chris by fielding a team they can't afford and financing it with Wonga loans. Surely no FFP regulations apply in the SPL. If they really are on the brink of Administration surely they will look in to this if we beat them next Sunday as a points deduction next season loses them the league straight away.

4.) 05 Mar 2018 22:47:17
Yes bravetart86, Rangers 1872 and Rangers 2012 have been allowed to break the laws and rules of football by the Police, judiciary &SFA that they are continuously breaking some rule or other.

16 Feb 2018 19:31:49
So craggy face is the new Scotland manager Ed

How forward thinking is that?

The temporary chairman says he has known him since 1887 pmsfl

But the thing is N Lennon was mooted for the post and encouraged it why would he want to lead a country that never did anything to support him in his hour of need on more than one occasion

Wait to the checks getting done to see if Windass was born on Scotland or has enough time in to represent Scotland

Can you imagine that they had appointed Lennon god I almost wish they had to hear and see the fallout (Y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - It's a shocking decision to appoint McLeish but he does need the money to pay his EBT tax bill. Hopefully Broony decides he doesn't fancy playing for a footballing dinosaur and a few more of our players pick up 'knocks' before any Scotland games. They should think about putting McLeish's forehead in goal, wtf is that all about, has he had botox all over his face?}

1.) 16 Feb 2018 20:49:31
I know what's over his face and it ain't BOTOX lol.

2.) 16 Feb 2018 20:58:48
Lol aye he ended up with a brown nose from at BOTOX.

3.) 16 Feb 2018 21:16:12
He got a bigger forehead than PARKHEAD πŸ˜‚πŸ€.

{Ed007's Note - I used to run about with a guy and we called him '8-heed' because his was twice the size of a forehead, you could have shown your home movies on that bad boy!}

04 Feb 2018 16:54:26
Afternoon Ed,

So here is one for a lazy Sunday

A said to a good friend of mine last night everyone fit does BR Know his best eleven and the layout he wants?

I thought I would have a go

3 4 2 1

CG

Hendry Commper, KT
Roberts kouassi brown Sinclair
Ntcham Musonda
Dembele

Am sure everyone will have their own thoughts / shape and have a go but there is still a massive amount of talent getting left out when ALL is well.

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - If he's going with that formation I'd agree except I'd go for Bain in goal, Jamie, Gordon's finished for me now, and I'd go for Simunovic or Boyata over Hendry just now too. Compper is an unknown quantity but I reckon Rodgers would have put him straight in when he's fit regardless of yesterday's injuries. I think that formation is more a reflection of what's available though and Rodgers will go back to 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 when everyone's fit and available.

--------------------Bain---------
Lustig---Simunovic---Compper---Tierney--
-------------Brown-----Ntcham---
Roberts--------Musonda-----Sinclair---
-----------------Dembele--------

1.) 04 Feb 2018 19:19:39
That would be my team too ed although av got doubts with bain long term, surely we can get a better keeper in the summer. He'll get my support while he's in the hoops as will anyone else and a hope he proves me wrong but the doubt is there.

{Ed007's Note - He's the best 'keeper at the Club just now for me, Steph and I wouldn't be surprised to see him being offered a contract in the summer as he'll be available o a free and would probably be happy and settled to be Celtic's No.2.
I still think a No.1 should be our priority this summer but knowing Lawwell and remembering what happened with Gordon's signing I reckon Peter will be trying to talk Rodgers into Bain becoming the No.1. Danny Ward wants to leave Liverpool and I'd be delighted to see us make a move for him or Sondre Rossbach that I may have mentioned in the past :)

2.) 04 Feb 2018 19:25:31
Ed do you think we’re likely to take Bain permanently at the end of his loan or go out and buy a keeper? For me he’s not a bad keeper at all but I’d like ya to set our sights higher.

{Ed007's Note - Steph just beat you there, Kev lol.}

3.) 04 Feb 2018 19:36:56
By the way av been sent a picture of the pitch at killie and it looks like they've made it narrower and shorter, got no idea if that was done at the start of the season or if they're altering it game by game, is it not the case that u need to name your dimensions at the start and stick to it. If it's allowed fair play to them a was just unsure.

{Ed007's Note - Ed033 deals with pictures, Steph but I did see it yesterday. The SPFL Regs (H20*) state that clubs can apply to change pitch dimensions at any time, and more than once a season but they must secure written consent from the SPFL board.

*H20 - Clubs must register their pitch dimensions with the Secretary not less than one month prior to the start of each Season. No Club shall alter its pitch dimensions for any League Match or Play-Off Match during a Season unless with the prior written consent of the Board. The Board may at any time require a Club to submit a report from a qualified independent source certifying the pitch dimensions.

4.) 04 Feb 2018 21:43:55
Of course they can always put in their written changes well in advance, by knowing who they are playing, and alter their dimensions to suit their strengths, or rather to minimise the strengths of their opponents.

5.) 04 Feb 2018 23:13:30
I remember Big Jock doing a bit of changing the pitch size in the old European Cup. (cant remember opposition) The away team had the set time to practice on the pitch and Jock had the size reduced slightly for their session. For the actual game the next night he had it put wider again (remember, we had Jinky and the Lions who loved wing/ attacking play)

6.) 04 Feb 2018 23:20:55
Bain might be good but I bet he won't win POTY lol.

It's a no brainer me JT any big game player / big goalscorer stays IMO again if the boy was " problem free " he would easily command bigger wages than he does now elsewhere

I will say this for him every time he returns home he waxes lyrical about Celtic (Y)

Sparkling personality and superstar Ed. I only joined the sites about 6 years ago not 7 or 8 :-D

But anyone that followed my tips the day would have had a "skinfull" so they would.

I agree about the paypal button mate and said so a while ago just imagine the money 001 would make if he put copies up of his DVD collection too

This time next year Rodney . (Y)

{Ed007's Note - That was some day at the office you had mate, I've said it before but if you fell out a window you'd go up the way! :-D

Counting my dosh jb67 lol, fook me Stan was kind enough to give me another go and I only managed TEN players lol I meant to put Elliot in beside Aitken

It's all Ed's fault every time of late he has been putting the team sheet up and missing out a player . I am only following his lead :-P (Y)
