It will be either Chirivella or McGinn and it will be either Arzani or Roberts not both IMO

If we have moved our attention to Chirivella maybe we have already given up on McGinn? (Y)

1.) 07 Aug 2018 16:07:43
I'd rather have Mcginn than Chirivella tbh.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 16:12:29
Who's the other guy never heard of him pardon my ignorance.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 16:19:28
Spanish boy fae Liverpool that was out on loan is Holland last season mally.
Rosenberg had a bid of around 3.5 million accepted but he knocked them back.

4.) 07 Aug 2018 16:20:24
Join the club Mally. A diehard Tim for less than a Spanish guy who hasn’t played for two years for more money? I don’t actually believe this is a goer though. Hopefully.

5.) 07 Aug 2018 16:21:39
Kevbhoy a lot of fans said that kind of thing when we brought ntcham in.
They also demanded Griffiths play before Edouard tae.

6.) 07 Aug 2018 16:33:22
What has die hard Tim got to do with it?
Who cares what team any player supports as long as they are good players?

7.) 07 Aug 2018 16:49:09
Chirivella looks like a class act as much as I’d like Mcginn if we can get chirevella would be a good signing also was quoted as being 2.5 million with add ins surecthats what Celtic bid for Mcginn and got knocked back.

8.) 07 Aug 2018 16:50:27
Not played football for the last 2 years? So did the 35 he played in the Eredivisie in Holland last year not count magicpole?

9.) 07 Aug 2018 16:58:59
He’s a class player. Or like estimating true cost, are you unable to tell a class player either Kev? A class player who loves us is always a good thing. A diehard who isn’t good enough like Ralston, that’s different, but class Mcginn possesses.

10.) 07 Aug 2018 17:07:52
Mcginn has done nothing to be called a class act. He wouldn't even get in our starting 11 if everyone fit.
He's no where near as good as ntcham never mind almost the same value.
McGregor by far a better player.
Mcginn would be squad player at best.

11.) 07 Aug 2018 17:27:32
@Magicpole don’t take the huff with me because you were corrected after including wages in your valuation without telling anybody. I’ve seen enough of John McGinn to see that he’s more of the Armstrong replacement BR spoke about earlier in the window.

12.) 07 Aug 2018 18:14:25
I don’t take the huff Kev. You failing to recognise what duds actually cost is a worry. We will need to agree to differ on John as we will be going round in circles, a bit like Lawells signing strategy. Nowhere fast.

Evening Ed, Don't post much rumours me but hearing that the Rangers game is likely to be the Fourth fixture of the five

Just wondering if anyone else hear anything or the same 👍🍀.

{Ed007's Note - I've not been online much today mate so I don't know what's being said but I'm sure the 4th fixture is a night time K.O.}

1.) 10 Apr 2018 19:28:17
I heard the rangers game is the 2nd game but what would happen if Celtic lose the 1st game they win theirs it means our game v them is still a decider! Whole thing is a shambles and Celtic just need a win on sunday and then get this league done and dusted asap.

2.) 10 Apr 2018 22:38:51
Aberdeen can still play a hand in when we win the league. Regardless of our form or Sevcos dipping they could help with us winning the title against Sevco. I'd rather finish with 5 wins. Although the performances haven't been there I always think the 90 point mark is always a good tally to achieve.

29 Jun 2017 11:51:50
Morning Ed,

Looks like Celtic updated there team squad pics for the forthcoming season already Ed

Ajer + McCart promoted to first team

Bailly + Fasan not there?

Any thoughts (Y)

{Ed007's Note - Have they been fully updated, Jamie, there's players that's left the Club still listed on the Development Squad page? Bailly has been told to find another club and as far as I know Fasan's contract hasn't been renewed.}

1.) 30 Jun 2017 18:51:02
Just looked like it had an overhaul

Shame about Fasan, think he is top drawer saved two of his three pens at Port Vale but as soon as BR spoke about a ball playing goalie he would never fit that is his weakness.

07 Apr 2017 14:54:41
It's a new four year deal for BR folks that's the big news.

1.) 07 Apr 2017 15:05:13
Is that to cover our backs when he does go?

2.) 07 Apr 2017 15:07:49
Well done celtic. what a statement! . you have made your supporters happy! .10 in a row bhoys HH.

3.) 07 Apr 2017 15:19:46
Rich T, are you one from the other side. Your negativity is bringing me down on this fine Friday. The man has signed a 4 year contract, how do you know he won't stay for 4 more years? Cheer up big man.

4.) 07 Apr 2017 15:22:52

5.) 07 Apr 2017 15:26:56
Here we go 10 in a row 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆.

6.) 07 Apr 2017 15:58:09
jamie hows the back? is it sorted yet?

7.) 07 Apr 2017 18:19:01
No jb67 getting a physio at home and talk of hydrotherapy got a medicated patch on it buddy but sore as hell getting in out the car pain is unbelievable mate 👍.

{Ed007's Note - That's what happens when you try and lift your wallet yourself.}

8.) 07 Apr 2017 19:53:18
a bit of spanish sun on it should help jamie (if you can handle the flight) jamie doesn't have a wallet.

9.) 07 Apr 2017 20:04:20
Have to look on the bright side Ed, Back could have been so much worse in that case had I lifted YOUR wallet :-p.

{Ed007's Note - Away you and chip shite at the moon! :-D

20 Apr 2016 19:01:36
Chic Young just said om radio he believes the deal to make Moyes the new Celtic manager!

Said the deal is more or less done no other candidate's in the pipeline (y)

1.) 21 Apr 2016 09:32:47
i wouldn't believe chic young if he said ronny deila was thew current celtic manager.

2.) 21 Apr 2016 13:10:27
I honestly think the board will go all out to get a manager that will excite the fans and can attract decent players.

With the Orcs back in the league next year they cannot afford to make another mistake.

3.) 22 Apr 2016 19:25:59
We can only wait and see. Hopefully you're right.

4.) 23 Apr 2016 11:32:51
I very much doubt it unless DD has the say and not PL. Sadly Celtic only seems like a wee toy to DD.

5.) 24 Apr 2016 22:28:27
jonbhoy, the orcs are not back, next year will be their debut season. there is still an awful lot to come out in the wash,as for manager i think it will be safe option ie: lenny , or the fella baxter , wherever he is these days and is always linked. steve clarke is a good coach, not a great manager though.

Evening Ed,

Look at the figures posted today by the chairman

Turnover breaks the 100million mark!

Pre Tax profit up £17.3 million from £6.9mill the previous seasons that is fantastic considering the backwater that we ply our trade in crikey another Glasgow club had to give away shares a bit less than our profit margin just to balance there books :-O (Y)

{Ed007's Note - I had a wee glance through them earlier, they do seem to be a lot better than a lot of people were expecting or predicting.}

1.) 20 Sep 2018 00:11:38
Very good figures over £100m turnover, a Scottish record .
Worried at the amount paid on player acquisition. Two things wrong, not enough spent and not enough quality of player signed for the money we actually spent . To me the Board, probably D D needs to sort out how much we should be spending and the Manager must cut down the wastage . I am of the opinion that we possibly need two joint head scouts, one who knows everything about Scottish Football and another who is an expert on European Football.
I am of the opinion that we have people recruiting who have spent most of their professional working life working in England, along side English people and they hear that often that Scottish Football is shoite, that they believe it and when they come to work for Celtic they think any old shoite will do.

2.) 19 Sep 2018 22:10:12
Fans are going to be raging we made a profit at all ed.

{Ed007's Note - There'll be more people raging we never properly strengthened the squad.}

3.) 19 Sep 2018 22:14:21
Here ed my wee mate was right the total wage bill has jumped to almost 60 million. Mind we were talking about it few weeks ago.
Both of us thought it sounded a bit high.

{Ed007's Note - There's still Roberts, Musonda, Armstrong and Dembele's wages to come off that (with players on less coming in) and there'll be no CL qualification bonus to be paid this year so I expect the wage bill to reduce in the coming year -and rightly so, even better if we can move on more players who offer nothing.}

31 Aug 2018 22:35:40
What a bit of business Celtic!

Plays 94 times for us, great find unfortunate that it is the cycle it is as BR states a " two year cylcle" Virgil, Wanyama, Hooper, Big FF, Now Moos the biggest of them all

Now if the scouting department could go and do there job right please and find us a couple of stars in the making

Hamstring's were always an issue with MD and that could plague him forever good luck to him all the same (Y)

1.) 31 Aug 2018 22:46:06
Well put Jaimie we need to accept the cycle but the hard part is to keep finding them. We have found undoubtedly the best defender in the world. kt 😏 and the 2nd in Virgil. Big Wanyama is still a force in the pub league. Forster made the England squad and hopefully in a few years we see Moussa pick up 2nd place in the ballon dor behind eddy. Celtic 1st Celtic last Celtic overall seen so many come and go but it’s us fans who are still here. Here we go 10iar.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 23:01:41
It makes a mockery of the Boyata situation especially if we don’t have a player come in.

3.) 31 Aug 2018 23:04:52
Got to agree, great bit of business if only we had another striker in.

4.) 31 Aug 2018 23:07:05
Haha. Damn, WB. That some mojo workin.

5.) 31 Aug 2018 23:07:57
19.7m bah. Should have held out for 20m.

6.) 31 Aug 2018 23:38:28
Shug Haha.

31 Aug 2018 19:49:37
Punt Moussa! Anybody that seen the STV pictures at training could see the disgruntlement it was written all over his face how pissed off he was

Let him go and am glad BR took control of it and hunted him inside its only a six year old club we are playing at the week! No problem 800 in that corner and umpteen new seasons they have NO CLUE what they are walking into HH COYBIG.

1.) 31 Aug 2018 20:43:58
Oh I think they have Jamiebhoy, i think they know exactly what they are up against and they are up for it. I am glad Moussa is gone as holding onto him would be negative for club and player. We don't need that going into Sunday. By the way i think a striker is coming in before 11pm.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 21:01:18
NOTHING prepares them for that Johnny NOTHING! Even Subtitles G isn't prepared for it and I don't care what anyone says and EVERYONE experienced says the same NOTHING PREPARES YOU

You are right in one respect they are coming. for to be put in there place! HH.

3.) 31 Aug 2018 21:06:50
Any idea who Johnny?

4.) 31 Aug 2018 21:52:34
Told he is an SPL player?

5.) 31 Aug 2018 20:55:37
I hope so but doubt it
Hail hail.

29 Aug 2018 13:57:46
Afternoon Ed,

I wondered if I could offer up a different take on things?

The share price spiked again this morning nearly another 5% first thing and I wondered your overview on this and others?

BR has been dubbed the "best british manager" and was recently down at the Man City game now I doubt he was looking to recruit one of the first team players. So with this in mind and the activity of late given the fact that we have exited the CL and still gaining in the markets do you think BR was possibly down meeting his new bosses?

A good friend of mine pointed out how well the City owners loved the atmosphere of the CL fixture we had with them, They have purchased a number of feeder clubs are we next? It would make sense in terms of anything they purchased player wise would gain a work permit here more than the would in England and in terms of FFP I think you are allowed to spend £5 mill more than you generate? So would give us a bigger transfer kitty each season.

PL and DD cannot go on forever giving there age. Last year we had a record profit of £5.9 million and PL's boy already works at City

Just wondered your take and others of becoming a part of the Man City set up? (Y)

{Ed007's Note - If we were to become part of City Football Group one of us or City wouldn't be allowed to play in the CL under UEFA Article 5.01 and if City come second and we win the league we would take the spot as we are champions and they get priority. I can't see the City owners risking that mate.
And before people come on and mention RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg being allowed to, Red Bull no longer has a controlling interest in RB Salzburg and are merely a sponsor now.}

1.) 29 Aug 2018 14:29:33
Fair play Ed, I would agree that they would not endanger that but am just trying to make sense of it but somethings happening. In the last ten mins that is them up nearly 10% and they shares are normally stagnate and solid TY.

{Ed007's Note - It's crazy when you think about us going out the CL, talk of players unrest, fans moaning about no signings and about our performances..... there's not much of a feel good factor round the Club right now.
Maybe Peter's going to put on his wee Masonic peenie and crack the soil on the hotel - that'll go down well 🤣🤣🤣

2.) 29 Aug 2018 15:58:40
Hi Ed

Do u think it's a case that Celtic are waiting as mad as it sounds to see what happens tomorrow night before any transfer business is done. Seems so strange at the minute it is the only thing l can think why nothing has happened so far.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know what's going on mate, I thought they had been waiting to see about CL qualification but waiting on EL qualification would be taking the pi$$.}

3.) 29 Aug 2018 18:12:23
Cheers Ed. To be honest l was thinking the same. By it seems to be going that way. Sooner all this is over the better.

{Ed007's Note - I know mate, I'm looking forward to just concentrating on the football.}

28 Aug 2018 17:47:19
Afternoon Ed,

Someone hovering up the Celtic shares again today (Y)

That is an all time high £1.46 it jumped again in the last couple of mins and up over 5% on the day

Someone knows what we will be doing incomings / outgoings wise this week and keeps purchasing into a new high

EL entry will only see it tick up again (Y)

{Ed007's Note - Sounds like there's something brewing, Jamie..... Thanks for the update 👍

1.) 28 Aug 2018 18:07:31
New teapot in the Board . Serving Green tea on Sunday.

2.) 28 Aug 2018 18:08:42
Thanks for 'sharing' Jamie - see you on live chat mate.

Hi Ed, Mulumbu not featured since the killie game even on the bench just wondering if that is another Commper in the making again?

Very strange he isn't featuring at all with Brown out 👍.

Probably because of the logistics of Aberdeen getting there and away

If it was the late ko they would be up the road at way into the night plus you run the risk of them leaving early

Not a fan of the beaks but have to say in all honesty I think they have got this one right to the best extent that they could 👍.

My Granda used to use an auld photograph negative in the side of the meter and it slowed the cycle of the wheel in the meter right down 😝 if the leccy man ever chapped the door the dug would go tonto and tell him he needed to put the dug away for his protection gave him plenty of time to get the negative out from the side of the meter 😂😂👍.

{Ed007's Note - My dad would have been all over anything like that and probably knew all the dodges but there's no way my mum would ever have let him do anything dodgy in the house. I've heard stories of people using a lollipop stick as well, and a magnet.}

If it is that type of system Henrik I would imagine that it airs/ serves the entire block? If there is no gas cooker in your kitchen you would need to check the property itself is served with gas or can be

As a Landlord your options could and will be limited if it serves more than one property mate.

Not a chance Johnny will BR leave then

We have the best British manager so who do you replace him with?
