It's a new four year deal for BR folks that's the big news.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 07 Apr 2017 15:05:13
Is that to cover our backs when he does go?

2.) 07 Apr 2017 15:07:49
Well done celtic. what a statement! . you have made your supporters happy! .10 in a row bhoys HH.

3.) 07 Apr 2017 15:19:46
Rich T, are you one from the other side. Your negativity is bringing me down on this fine Friday. The man has signed a 4 year contract, how do you know he won't stay for 4 more years? Cheer up big man.

4.) 07 Apr 2017 15:22:52
HOW GOOD IS THAT.

5.) 07 Apr 2017 15:26:56
Here we go 10 in a row 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆.

6.) 07 Apr 2017 15:58:09
jamie hows the back? is it sorted yet?

7.) 07 Apr 2017 18:19:01
No jb67 getting a physio at home and talk of hydrotherapy got a medicated patch on it buddy but sore as hell getting in out the car pain is unbelievable mate 👍.

{Ed007's Note - That's what happens when you try and lift your wallet yourself.}

8.) 07 Apr 2017 19:53:18
a bit of spanish sun on it should help jamie (if you can handle the flight) jamie doesn't have a wallet.

9.) 07 Apr 2017 20:04:20
Have to look on the bright side Ed, Back could have been so much worse in that case had I lifted YOUR wallet :-p.

{Ed007's Note - Away you and chip shite at the moon! :-D

Chic Young just said om radio he believes the deal to make Moyes the new Celtic manager!

Said the deal is more or less done no other candidate's in the pipeline (y)

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 21 Apr 2016 09:32:47
i wouldn't believe chic young if he said ronny deila was thew current celtic manager.

2.) 21 Apr 2016 13:10:27
I honestly think the board will go all out to get a manager that will excite the fans and can attract decent players.

With the Orcs back in the league next year they cannot afford to make another mistake.

3.) 22 Apr 2016 19:25:59
We can only wait and see. Hopefully you're right.

4.) 23 Apr 2016 11:32:51
I very much doubt it unless DD has the say and not PL. Sadly Celtic only seems like a wee toy to DD.

5.) 24 Apr 2016 22:28:27
jonbhoy, the orcs are not back, next year will be their debut season. there is still an awful lot to come out in the wash,as for manager i think it will be safe option ie: lenny , or the fella baxter , wherever he is these days and is always linked. steve clarke is a good coach, not a great manager though.

01 Feb 2016 18:13:22
Just confirmed CK-R Signs a two year deal, cannot still believe that.

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 01 Feb 2016 18:37:36
How does a guy like this meet our criteria in any shape or form?

2.) 01 Feb 2016 18:47:52
I took a days holiday for this transfer run in!

In all seriousness I wasn't expecting much but I would rather we signed nobody than CKR. Give the bhoy a chance though and all that. Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim Richards in our ranks. It's obvious why we aren't a CL club.

3.) 01 Feb 2016 19:05:33
Same old same old on this site everyone saying ckr isn't that good, give the guy a chance we got him on a free if I'm not mistaken and he has over 30 caps for turkey let's wait 6 months and judge him then if he is no good all we have lost is wages and a signing on fee which we would probes recup in selling him so it's a no lose imo, and let's be honest he can't be any worse than cifti can he?

4.) 01 Feb 2016 19:39:23
You took a days holiday for transfer deadline day. Have a word with yourself!
PS- Welcome to Celtic Colin. Please stay clear of any Celtic fans web pages.

5.) 01 Feb 2016 20:24:31
-Tamc1888

That statement, more than any I've ever read, shows how low our club has sunk. Disgraceful comment.

6.) 01 Feb 2016 20:53:26
@TAMC1888. CKR is another dud and a desperate sign of the chasm that develop between us and the rest of competitive European teams. He isn't free, what a ridiculous statement. He will be paid a 5 figure sum each week which drains our coffers for potentially 30 months .

Raging.

7.) 01 feb 2016 21:06:34
great signing.

8.) 01 Feb 2016 21:22:08
Thought it was pretty evident from the tone i wasn't being serious joeshmo. Stay away from fan pages? He'd be better of staying away from Glasgow.

9.) 01 Feb 2016 22:00:32
I'm more than willing to give the boy a chance but I just don't understand why we singed Carlton Cole, these 2 are very similar and I can't see Cole playing much unless CKR is total crap.

We now have Griffith, Cole, CKR with Stokes, Cifti and Scepovic on Loan

6 Strikers! Can't speak about CKR but his goals to game ratio is very good. You have to wonder who is responsible for these signings.

10.) 01 Feb 2016 23:30:50
Hey Tam he's played 37 times for Turkey and
Failed to score in 36 of them.

11.) 01 Feb 2016 23:43:01
Tamc I agree with you on This one. When did anyone last watch CKR in a run of games that can confidently comment on how good or not he is? As u said he has over 30 caps for turkey who are a good international team and he was free so pretty low risk if u ask me. Or we could spend 1.5m on ciftci. chow many caps does he have for the same country? Not that I'm saying CKR is any good but for a free transfer it's less of a risk. Maybe that's the new signing policy!

{Ed007's Note - He's had two caps since 2011, Marty, 37 caps in 9 years. We're not getting one of Turkey's better players here mate, not by a long shot. This is probably worse than Steven Fletcher.}

12.) 02 Feb 2016 01:29:48
Hmmm fair enough ed! Wasn't aware of that. I know you aren't expecting much from him with what you hve been saying, I haven't seen much of the guy at all so have no idea if he will do well or not. We can look at it two ways, club showing no ambition by signing free transfer or club being sensible by minimising risk from, previous strikers by getting a free transfer in! Hope the guy comes good as we were all wary when we signed lee griffiths so might be another?

{Ed007's Note - The only time I can remember hearing his name was for the wrong reasons. Why sign him 6 months after signing Ciftci and put Ciftci out on loan. We all know RD is meticulous in his planning so where are these bizarre short term deals coming from?
Without major investment in the squad during the summer I'm afraid the CL demanders are going to be very disappointed. Instead of losing deadwood we seem to be collecting more and more.}

13.) 02 Feb 2016 01:34:02
Just glad aberdeen didn't get him or carlton Cole they would probably win the league if they did we seem to be the only team unable to set up right ie Ross county must have been a joy for there fans.

14.) 02 Feb 2016 01:38:33
He played right back in most turkey games.

15.) 03 Feb 2016 18:29:29
I am glad so many of our posters are welcoming Richards and encouraging and hopefully build his confidence . A confident player is so much better than a player down in his confidence .

16.) 05 Feb 2016 01:07:02
Sorry but this was a dreadful signing. A crap scoring record, he will be even worse than Cifti : (

06 Aug 2015 20:21:03
Evening Ed, Talk again tonight mate about this striker who plays in Europe coming to us and IF he signs we will be delighted

Any idea who it is?

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I don't have a clue mate, sorry.}

1.) 06 Aug 2015 21:46:59
Heard this on the radio on sat! And again tonite.says whoever it is we'll be happy! Believe it when I see it!

2.) 06 Aug 2015 22:07:52
rumours about javier hernandez coming in on loan, can't see it personally. wages would be too high and I think Manchester United looking to sell.

3.) 06 Aug 2015 22:24:24
Heard the same, and also last night when they said we've also agreed a deal in principle for big Virgils replacement!
Just tell us who they are? Or is it egg on face time with assumptions?

4.) 06 Aug 2015 22:56:46
Really can't see Hernandez coming but we need rid of scepovic he's too lazy! So I hope we bring in a quality target man or just CF! And I'd like to think we will have VVD's replacement lined up its critical if we don't replace him!

5.) 06 Aug 2015 23:05:09
I thought the rumours were that he hasn't played in the UK?

6.) 06 Aug 2015 23:14:40
Pure total rubbish .

7.) 07 Aug 2015 00:50:30
Stephen fletcher £1.5 million on his way HH

8.) 07 Aug 2015 00:55:48
This will be balls . It will just be the media mixing it so you tune in the next night to see if the give a name . Please don't buy into there hype.

9.) 07 Aug 2015 10:57:02
I can't wait until the window closes. We need a left back and CB. As we all know VVD is off.

10.) 07 Aug 2015 16:18:31
see if this rumour had any legs in it, I'm sure it will have had a bit more coverage than a radio show, haven't heard anything about it. Also SOS BHOY, I thought Celtic signed the big man from Dundee Utd to be a target man? No? Personally I will be very surprised if we bring any1 else in. I hope I'm wrong though

11.) 07 Aug 2015 21:30:22
I think if they knew who it was IF anyone they would have said so I think that IF and when we do sign some one they will say we knew that was who Celtic were in talks with

12.) 09 Aug 2015 09:33:23
It's like Hansel and Gretel with a trail of breadcrumbs. Rumours fill space in a paper, or get people talking on air.

The bottom line, probably, is that if they just commented in what was actually happening the papers would simply say, football still rubbish, we can't compete and no can't if ability will come here due to the league, the money and the weather .

Probably be the same the Morra.

What they exploit is hope and self delusion. Both
Plentiful and ripe.

So, here we go again with a mystery man. Nobody's says his name, because he is a figment or someone's
Imagination.

It's like taking sweeties aff a wean. If football fans
were fish they would be makeral, they swallow any old line.

Let's wait and see who the biggest mackerel are in here.

26 Jul 2015 21:51:54
Evening Ed, any idea mate who we are supposed to be watching that plays in Germany? Thanks

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - Marcel Halstenberg or Kevin Grosskreutz?}

1.) 26 Jul 2015 22:06:03
Thanks Ed, a never even thought of that St Pauli player and been talking about him for few weeks now but a did hear it was a defender (y)

{Ed007's Note - Although our bid for Halstenberg was accepted by St Pauli last month the player himself would rather wait until January and see his options but I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal finalised before the window closes.
I can't see there being anything in the Grosskreutz link but I know some people are talking about it on social media.}

Evening Ed,

Just curious any idea roughly what we have raked in for Kerr, Archibald, O' Connell and Kellhellar (who I thought had a chance) and what five youths have we let go?

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - Aidan McIlduff, Shaun Bowers, Brandon Payne, Connor McManus and Luke Donnelly have all left the Club. As for O’Connell, Archibald, Kerr and Kelleher we'll have only got training compensation for them as they were all out of contract, we'll be lucky to have brought in £200k for them.}

18 Jun 2017 14:42:40
Afternoon Ed's, Something in the football world needs to be done about transfer fees!

That young keeper that has went from Sunderland and bow there is talk today about Siguurdsson going for the same money (£30 million) who are we kidding? What average player is worth that a mean seriously you look at LG's goals at Hampden last week and if they would have been taken by an English foot we would have been told that was the difference in the leagues!

We need to get a bit of parity to here with the big fan base clubs, the forward thinking clubs all get a chance to do that

What dross are we going to be served up this season when half the EPL teams are mince with circa 20k in attendance eh count them fur fox sake! Crystal Palace, Watford, Burnley, Huddersfield, Brighton, Bournemouth, Swansea, Leicester and Stoke

Southampton have finished 8th because they have two of our best players playing for in recent seasons!

Somebody needs to give the game a right good shake IMO.

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - The money in the EPL is slowly killing the game and the sooner the big teams all piss off to their European Super League the better as nothing will change until they do. The teams involved in that will still be buying at the same level - probably even higher - but they'll have taken the major TV and advertising revenue with them which will give a better balance to the rest of us. There's no way Sly or BT will pump billions into an English league that doesn't have the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea involved, as yoi same Jamie, there's some amount of dross in that league. I said on the West Ham page the other day when someone took a pop at Leigh Griffiths that LG would score 10-15 goals in the EPL simply because outwith the top 6 teams the league is made up of dross for the money they spend.
Someone sent me this the other week, I don't know how accurate it is but it won't be too far away:

tvmoney

1.) 19 Jun 2017 13:53:20
Good reading that Ed, Just goes to show why we would never get in the EPL. Would be looking at in excess of £200m easily!

{Ed007's Note - The commercial side of things would explode for Celtic if they were in that league as well as getting the TV money and there would be a significant rise in matchday revenue with the increase of season tickets and corporate income.
It's never going to happen though and I'm glad of that, most of people who moan about the money in the EPL are only upset because their club isn't involved and getting that money. If Celtic joined the EPL, would Celtic fans suddenly stop moaning about the extortionate fees and wages clubs down there pay if we had the finances to spend the same?}

2.) 19 Jun 2017 15:13:36
That looks fair and right to me Ed, Do you know it's cheaper for a private box @ Arsenal than it is @ Celtic!

And with Arsenal you get a 10 box @ Celtic you only get 8! so yeah if the TV money was fairer we would excel am happy here but it's the injustice that gets on my goat mate in terms of wtf wants to watch Burnley v Watford or Huddersfield v Brighton and a mean how do you sell that when you see that type of game being pitched it's a laugh!

10 mill for that boy that was @ St Mirren (Mooy? ) It's going crazy mate and at the level we shop @ within 5 yr that will probably dry up scouting will just get harder IMO (y)

{Ed007's Note - The bigger clubs down south are stockpiling youth players, especially Chelsea and City, with the intention that if they don't make it there they will get a decent fee for them which I think helps them to meet the FFP Regs.
Over the last couple of years the only EPL games I go out of my way to watch are the Utd games and I'll watch the big games on my laptop as I edit the sites and watch the live chats going on but I'm with you, there are some amount of fixtures in that league that only really fans of the club will watch, I really can't see the American, Chinese or Middle East customers getting too worked up over the games you mentioned.}

3.) 19 Jun 2017 15:35:49
No Ed in between menstrual cramping i reckon they would moan about paying to much lol, Seems like there's just an element of our support that like a good whinge mate.

{Ed007's Note - It's not just Celtic fans though, that English Championship is a cesspit of fans with ideas above their station that as soon as they get into the EPL they think they're Real Madrid after spending season after season decrying everything the EPL represents for years.}

4.) 19 Jun 2017 23:11:38
Fans of nearly all EPL clubs continuously sneer at the clubs in the SPL . This is unusual among clubs of other bigger leagues in Europe . Spanish German or Italian club's fans don't sneer and ridicule clubs of much inferior leagues around them . Scottish clubs fan don't sneer at Welsh or Irish clubs on a regular basis .

5.) 21 Jun 2017 01:53:37
Just look at Watford earning 100 million a year more than us in tv money. Absolutely taking the piss! Shocking.

16 Jun 2017 13:32:42
Afternoon Ed,

Any idea the length of Johny Hayes deal mate? (Y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea mate but it'll probably be at least 4 years.}

1.) 16 Jun 2017 18:14:07
Hi ED stv reporting JH having medical in London any truth in this do u know.

{Ed007's Note - Yes he is.}

2.) 16 Jun 2017 22:12:56
3 year deal jamie.

28 May 2017 12:06:30
You having a Live chat the day Ed for the legends game?

Wee platform to gloat too nervous yesterday lol (y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - No mate I never gave it a thought and I don't think Ed033 would have enough time to do it at such sort notice. Sorry about that, my fault.}

1.) 28 May 2017 13:08:44
No need for sorry's Ed (y) , Just a thought to have one last hoot :-P.

{Ed007's Note - It would have been a good laugh too.}

2.) 28 May 2017 16:25:41
the king of kings with a hatrick, some things never change lol.

3.) 28 May 2017 17:53:20
James you up at the legends game mate, I was with my 2 bhoys, felt a bit strange as 2 Celtic teams on the park but still wanted the team wearing the hoops to win, also thought they could have had songs playing throughout the match as it was a friendly. ( except from Bobo )

4.) 28 May 2017 20:21:23
no mate i wasnt there, i just kept up to date on the game by checking celtic's official twitter, my brother was there and he was texting me too, i bet you were telling your bhoys that henrik is what a real striker looks like and that was him in his 40s too lol.

26 May 2017 15:31:38
BR Declares MD fit to start cup final having trained all week (y)

Jamiebhoy7

1.) 26 May 2017 17:02:46
Leigh' Grifiths has earned his place for me with a belter against them Huns and with the opener last week. Moussa Ten Bellys would be on the bench for me! ☘️.

2.) 26 May 2017 18:57:59
Moussa will definitely be on bench he's not played from semi against sevco.

3.) 26 May 2017 23:07:41
MD earned his place with LG on bench. However, the situation is reversed and LG now should start with MD on the bench.

I never took the Hayes transfer serious Ed I took it as paper talk but it seems to be happening is that the case mate?

Also Borini, now gathering momentum too is he next? (Y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I'm still not believing the Hayes story. There was all sorts of rumours yesterday about him having talks with Lawwell and/or Rodgers, he was seen at CP and Lennoxtown etc etc even though he's back over in Ireland.
Borini isn't going to happen, it's just made up.}

Walter Smith advising them Ed? Why because Martin Bain is at Sunderland if so that's another joke? fur fox sake they must be some knitting needles to make a cardigan to cover here to the north of England!

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - I'd imagine there's an earner in it for Smith as a consultancy fee from his old partner in EBT tax crimes Bain.}

That's my point Bob, Aberdeen have indicated they will not parade in that angle and is Aberdeen a target?

I fully accept that in the grand scheme/ scale London is a more of a target so what is happening there?

Is it a "scaleback" or other aspect? (y)

I don't honestly know Ed, On some aspects it's "not to put a further drain on resources" others it's to "dumb down" the celebrations like out of respect that appears to be the two takes on it

When you tackle the first one what is in place for the FA Cup final? Surely, they must follow suit?

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - Are the OO walks not draining resources though so that doesn't really wash does it? They're talking about deploying the army at Wembley. Now I'm not a cowardly murdering scumbag but I'd think Wembley would be a much higher risk target than a bus parade in Glasgow or a few thousand folk at CP.
Man Utd and their fans didn't mind celebrating winning the EL last night but we can't celebrate in Glasgow out of respect? That's a bollocks excuse too. Then there's the thousands of supporters going to a party with Rod Stewart and the Bay City Rollers for a piss up and a sing song - awfy respectful that is!
I wonder if they would have been cancelled if they were paid ticket events?}

Well seen there no fitba on WB an result your sober to post something spot on mate

I don't think we need much any young hungry striker looking to play and make headlines must be looking at us with a view to perform not only play

As I said I would be happy to take the monies for differing s for MD and CG

BR is on record of saying he is looking for "quality" additions let's let them enjoy a holiday a well deserved holiday at that (y)

Don't think they ever replaced Stephen Frail did they?

This guy Moss that has just left is he a big loss Ed? Seemed to want away? Or are we clearing out JP's team? (Y)

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - It's clearing out JP's team as Lee Congerton puts his own plans in place. David Moss was a cracking head scout for us and it would have been good if a place could have been found for him but moving to an EPL side as DOF is a great opportunity for him and I hope he's successful down there.}

Danny Ward is a fantastic keeper IMO mentioned on here before, Jurgen Klopp did us a massive favour taking him back from Aberdeen he saved them umpteen points Ed and kept Aberdeen close to us

Am a big CG fan but at £4 mill I would take it all day long if we get two good seasons out of him with his history I will be surprised.

Jamiebhoy7

{Ed007's Note - Gordon turns 35 this year so surely Rodgers is looking at bringing someone else in? Bailly will be off and I don't think De Vries will hang about if he can get a move, is the manager going to bring in another of his old pals to sit on the bench or is he going to bring in a quality younger GK to challenge Gordon's spot? Gordon is now getting to the stage of his career where he should be No.2 at a club like Celtic and if there isn't a new GK this summer then it'll be an absolute must next year.}
