Is it true that James Mac Carthy and Celtic have had a parting of the ways and James is no longer a Celtic player? We can hardly say we are weaker as James, just never made any impression on his return to Scottish football.

Damn them old Celtic nerves . Every night before a Celtic game they click in . I am convinced that every season, no matter how bad the rest of the SPL are the nerves get worse and worse . It's particularly cruel this season to have to wait until 4.30pm for match to start.

It's not often that I change my mind completely on the Celtic Board and their recruitment policy, However I have made a 360 degree take on board's policy .
I use to read that our Board were guilty of providing manager with players just capable of domestic success.
I thought that was a terrible negative opinion that no decent Celtic supporter could hold .
However whilst studying the Board's Primary responsibility, to make money for investors by increase share price and paying dividends. This has altered my thinking and I now realise that the Board have a responsibility to make sure manager and coaches are forced to push their players to the limit to get the very best out of players to be victorious domestically. It isn't fair on the players in the first team squad, if they can stroll through year and win their domestic league at ease and even a double or treble without been pushed completely.
No surer way of creating player unrest amongst players and supporters than having players who think they are too good for league they are playing in .
We can't have European standard players if they aren't pushed to limit week- in week out in their own league . It's very difficult to pick SPL level footballers to be capable of starring in Europe.

Ridiculous post. No one was complaining in '94 when Fergus and John Keane saved us. Since then we have splashed money a few times. most notably to find the MON era. We are a great club run properly. Lots of money being spent on infrastructure. I have no doubt we will spend big this window (By our/ Scottish standards) . Lawwell has to go. Not going to bore people but the man should just go!

The fixtures are out for SPL 2024/ 2025 and I am sure the Scottish Masons are delighted that without any unusual Programming the computer has done a brilliant bigoted job, creating Celtic fixtures at times that are unsuitable, Opening Flag Day, usually first fixture of News season, pushed back until 4.30 pm Sunday. Celtic, currently, only SPL team playing in Champions League, have almost all post C L matches away .
Of Course W Collum is still busily working his balls off, trying to make a difference . His predecessor Crawford Allan, had all elite refs either Sevco supporters or making their decisions like Sevco supporters., Willie is trying to end. all this . Won't it be great to have a season of W Collum's impartiality.

It's the same every year Des no ones even surprised anymore. It'll be the usual Killie, Hearts, Rangers, Aberdeen or Hibs games that are the selected away games for potential European hangovers. With tjat being said, It hasn't worked in Sevcos favour much before but it at least keeps the title race tight for them.

How long does this bloody Covid last? I thought I was doing brilliantly not having a dose of at all and I thought I had beat it off, but it hit me 7/ 8 days ago and to be honest I wouldn't wish it on Clements or any one of them . It's a really harsh, you think it's lifting and it comes back and downs u again .

We are almost there, just like Christmas Eve, but this time it's the older children and adults who can't sleep tonight with the excitement tomorrow, the opening of the transfer window brings . Tomorrow morning we will have people keeping an eye on Ross Hall, checking to see what times Celtic have booked medicals .
We need to locate Dermot Desmond's Private Jet and watch for any movement.
Nothing wrong on keeping an eye on Lennoxtown but more important Celtic Park . Hopefully one person isn't seen and that is Peter L.

Dc7591, it was rumoured his wage demands were such Celtic felt that if it was spread over 4 yrs and not 3, then if it didn’t work out another team might match the smaller 4 year wage and take him away.

Mallythetally to miss over one third of your schedule, isn’t necessary down to bad luck, it’s more likely a weakness in some part of body . Many other players who missed less were regarded as sick - notes etc . What worried me most was last nigh, he was nowhere near fit and ready for new season . Heaneyinglasgow u could be right but CCV missed more than one third of our games last season and thus contributed nothing . Can we rely on him to play 90-95% and thus regard him as defensive rock this season . Celtic mad . I resent your comment and think maybe it should apply to yourself as obviously, u don’t understand my short post kept as simple as possible, so u could understand . Not many think a player in the stand is worth more than a player on the pitch . Wab1 . I don’t think it requires much defence to regard a player actually playing is better than a player sitting in the stand and that was the story in 13 SPl games 2 E C . The one LC cup game 2 S c games . If Scales wasn’t better than CCV in the many games CCV didn’t play . It’s. time we got rid of manager and coaches and more important to me time I give up watching football.

Derry Tim . I am seriously worried about CCV .
Is he another Mickey Johnson . . CCV missed most of our Champions Leagues a couple of yrs ago . He missed a third this season and even bigger percentage in SPL. It always takes him a couple of games getting back on form . Scales was available practically every game and that adds to his importance.
We can’t afford to play 2 games per week from start of August until end of year with a worry about a cb for every game . CCV was so much off his game last night, ok ist game since May, but obviously CCV has not done much ball work as his touch was terrible . You just can’t be a good team player if u are regularly unfit.

I am neither a negotiator nor a spokesman for B R, but I think haven’t spoken on Wednesday about his long meeting with M Nicholson, he is saying on Saturday night that he has nothing to add .
I can’t understand how he would, first of all have another meeting, as that would indicate panic and 2 nd what does anyone expect BR to say . He is not going to announce new signing (s) . Somewhere in the midst of USA is hardly venue to announce new signings for European club . What is the point in him saying they have started talking to a specific club about a specific player, as that only puts pressure on himself and club .
So, really BR had only a no comment, comment to make.

There is an argument for putting scales ahead of CCV as Scales has played 10/ 12 SPL games more than CCV . No team can afford to have, a so called top player missing about one third of the games any season . Scales on the other hand was virtually a starter in nearly every game.

Bhoys, don’t be too worried . B R is no fool and he is certainly confident of the season ahead . He isn’t too worried about the rate of our new signings actually becoming Celtic players . We should be worried but not over worried .
Our season won’t be defined by August results or form.

Not just thinking of Quinn1888, but u start wit a story u think is true that the Celtic Board are stopping JF articles on x .
But it could be anyone even me . However I didn’t read J f ‘KDS article and can definitely. say it has nothin to do with me.
Quinn goes from placing responsibility On Celtic, to not knowing who it is as he assumes it is Celtic. Obviously I don’t know who these posters, but I know for a fact most Celtic people I meet with from time to time are very nice people and if they are negative or positive. It not doesn’t change them in any way .
I would appreciate if this post was printed, for some reason, recent posts haven’t seen light of day.

The £37k a week looks like nonsense . From what I seen of him half the £37 k per week would be plenty £18-£19k per week

I am not sure players who are ambitious enough to win trophies will come to Celtic, as we have had such almost total success recently, it is seen by outsiders as the expected achievement. 11/ 12 SPL and 5 trebles show a club with outstanding achievements and. A non Scottish Celtic player considering joining is going to find it difficult to sell to his fellow professionals from what ever Country he is playing in the success of winning SpL . U yourself regard our European performances as embarrassing, so we are unlikely to have CL success . We even advise players to go to other leagues as Celtic are said to have a moral duty not to hold our players back financially, so naturally we shouldn’t be preventing people from earning top dollar.
