Seen a Celtic page on twitter said we've made a £1.8m bid for Korean striker Oh Hyun-kyu and not Cho Gue-Sung. Seems they got the translation messed up a bit so probably made up nonsense tbf.

I know it’s unfair to make a total judgement on a single layer on his YouTube clips, but I have to say the Korean striker we are supposed to be in for looks mediocre in the extreme. I was hoping for a player. If this is his best stuff he won’t be challenging for anything. What’s the point of buying anyone who isn’t an improvement. On his clips he looks s hit.
I obviously hope he proves me wrong but his touch and movement aren’t great. I hope he says no. We have had literally dozens of dud striker punts and this guy looks right out of that mould. Not impressed at all.

Once again more negative comments from you regarding our team and potential signing targets.
Your kinda confusing yourself saying it's unfair to judge a player based on watching a You Tube clip then you go onto suggest that the Korean striker looks S. T and won't be challenging for anything.
I maybe wrong but don't recall Ange or anyone from Celtic FC being quoted as noting any interest in this Korean striker.
Based on your current and past comments I'm assuming your not very happy with Ange's recruitment to date?
Most of us had never heard of Kyogo, Hatate, O'Reily, Abada, etc, etc.
Many fair minded Celtic fan would probably say that the above named players have done quite well or better since being recruited by Ange.
I won't hold my breath for you to say something positive and constructive about our team and football club.

Brian what’s negative about saying I don’t think he looks good in those clips? , I don’t think he looks good that’s an opinion. This negative rubbish I s just that, rubbish. I am entitled to my opinion and if it doesn’t suit the feckin happy clappers then I don’t give a feck. I sad what I said because in those clips he looked feck all. His movement has a rubbish, his touch isn’t great, his shooting did nothing for me. If you do, you probably welcomed Mo bahgheera and those other duds we brought in with open arms. He may be really good but he certainly doesn’t look it. No one I know thinks he looked good. Maybe we don’t suffer from happy feckin clapper syndrome. And thank feck for that or we would accept going back to the p ish Lawell used bring in.

I am more than happy to be a happy clapping Celtic supporter through thick and thin.
I am equally happy to give any player we sign a chance to prove there worth to our football club.
Some signings work out and some don't that's the reality of any football club.
I will definitely not give any assessment on any potential signing based on viewing a You Tube clip.
Also of course your entitled to your opinion, however many of your posts on this forum I find are very negative regarding our football club, current, past or potential Celtic players.
You said you are happy with Ange's recruitment but not this one.
Correct me if I'm wrong but have we signed a Korean striker in the last few days?

Brian, in fairness to MP I looked at clips of him and thought I was looking at the wrong guy. He didn't look up to much however I thought the same of clips of Hatate I saw and look at the player he is. The clips of Kyogo and Maeda reflected how good they actually are, so it's difficult to measure someone when its not in the flesh, I could refer to a Brazilian defender we once bought. Hopefully if he comes he's better than he looks. Trust in Ange.

A loan to buy would be worth a shot Pedro. Not sure how that all works Brum and if we was to buy him would we only be buying 40% of the player if CFG feel there is value in retaining their 60% in him? Can they overrule a transfer as they own 60% if they feel the players value will diminish if he's playing in the Scottish league as opposed to a more glamorous league? I haven't got a clue how it all works.

With all the dodgy VAR pish that happened between the big two it is still 2 points gained. They'll be raging at that. As big Jock once said "if your good enough the referee don't matter" and today just highlights how good we need to be to rise above controversy.

Sadly that has been our lot forever. We need to do more than we should have to because the Sevco fan in the black will do all they can to help their team. It’s a feckin scandal but it’s a reality we need to factor in. Yesterday even with VAR we had two decisions against us that were shocking. What we cannot do is just bend over a desk. We need to call it out if it continues. We haven’t had a penalty yet do the most attacking of any team, our problem we don’t play in blue. As I’ve said many times to my bluenose mates, they haven’t a single trophy in their cabinet that one of their brethren hasn’t gave a dodgy decision for them to win. They get a penalty we never would. They get fouls we never would . Opposition get players sent off we never would. We are all sick of it, but we need to ensure that we score enough that even cheating refs and Var cannot stop us. A disgrace, but that’s what happens when the vast majority of refs leave the game to celebrate in Rangers pubs. On the bright side Sevco are utter p ish. Are like watching paint dry. And hopefully Napoli take them to the feckin pizza shop and cut them into about 16 slices.

Levels to this game. Thought most did themselves proud and played some nice stuff and ran themselves in the ground. Mooy and Haska looked good when they came on but ultimately the missed chances left it a mountain to climb. The games against Real won't define our season the business starts now.

£7m is low I thought we'd realistically get between £12-15m for him still especially after such a good world cup. But it's a quick healthy profit, GG will be the same and Johnston and the potential Cho look good replacements without breaking the bank.

They'll use that as ammunition next time Ange complains about VAR. How we got one against Morton in a nothing game we would've always run away with. The 2nd handball wasn't a penalty either imo, both fall into the Bernabei/ O'Riley category. It's frustrating as more will be said about that penalty all week than the performance itself. Usual SMSM putting a negative spin on a good Celtic result.
{Ed007's Note - Let's be brutally honest, some of the decisions that have went Celtic's way are just other examples of how it isn't working and as I keep "preaching" on the podcast we have to call out dodgy decisions that do go for us whether we win or lose or it just looks like sour grapes or excuses.
Like everything else in Scottish football it's getting dragged into a Celtic v SFA/SPFL fight or a Celtic v OFFC fight with the rest of the clubs sitting waiting to see who blinks first and then nobody blinks and the initial point gets lost.
If we - as in Ange and the Club - are unhappy about VAR and the way it's being ran in general - and I'm looking at the bigger picture here - and OFFC feel the same, and Aberdeen feel the same, and Dundee Utd feel the same (Joonas has said VAR has cost them a few times this season) then why can't the clubs as a whole team up and get it sorted.
Things like VAR, refereeing standards and the people running our game etc should never be allowed to become a Celtic v X,Y,Z situation, the only way things will improve overall in our game is when there is footballing AND financial people looking after the interests of EVERY club as a whole. I don't want Celtic to get dodgy decisions as much as I don't want OFFC or Hibs/Hearts getting dodgy decisions.
In the upcoming World Club Cup thing they are trialling the refs being miked up during games so that the crowd and folk at home hear their discussions, how do you see that working if the IFAB make that a part of VAR?}

His role seems to have changed this season. He seems more a traditional winger and we ain't seeing him chase down absolutely everything like we did last season. He has a knack of being in the right place at the right time and he's even putting in tackles near our corner flag. You can't fault his workrate.
