All these stories about big money offers 15m for JJ seem wide of the mark.

Being reported that Monza have offered 7m on a initial loan deal with payment deferred till the summer.

It's got to be acid trip Monday reporting that.

Only reason for us to loan is if we want him gone and we’re struggling to shift him. None of those scenarios seem likely!

Almost all reports are quoting £7-8m which would be a disappointing figure, especially when they got £12m for Patterson. Still be a decent profit and to me he has been poor this season anyway, especially in Europe.

I said on a previous thread I didn't think we'd get much more than £12-15m for him but £7m seems incredibly low.

{Ed007's Note - I'm surprised the fee, if true, is so low but as I said all along anyone thinking a good WC would push his fee up to crazy prices were well wide of the mark. There were posters on here saying £20 million should be the starting point of negotiations! ?

ED007 and guys if you read all the stories and rumours Ange worried Juranovsic and GG could unsettle dressing room so a quick transfer at a lower fee seems way to go, I just hope club have added at least a 15/ 20% sell on fee.

{Ed007's Note - Juranovic turns 28 later this year and Giakoumakis turned 28 last month so I don't see there being much chance of a sell-on fee in the future for either.
It's got nothing to do with Ange how much money Celtic ask for a player, that's for Chris McKay, Michael Nicholson and the players agent to come up with that.}

The fee being reported does sound low to me tbh and the club is a strange one but it all comes down to the players choice I suppose. It's still a profit, and we have already signed a seemingly worthy replacement at the end of the day. I like Juranovic and wish him all the best ?.

Hello Again

There's no doubt in my mind that no matter how high or low we sell JJ or GG for, or any of our assets for then Peter Lawwell (non executive chairman of Celtic PLC) will get some sort of blame.

?.

{Ed007's Note - I think Lawwell's immediate successor Dom McKay's part in the negotiations might be a better bet, Brian.}

Juranovic is worth 8 figures. ( Not £1 Million Gerrard ) ?.

Lawell will get no blame, he has enough for several lifetimes. Failed 9 out of 13 attempts to get us to thecCK due to his let’s wait and see if we qualify p ish. Poor Nir getting out in year after year because Oawell wouldn’t buy a CH who wasn’t a bombscare. Brought players in over the head of managers. Was in charge for the recruitment of endless duds. Trousered more money in bonuses than we earned from winning a treble. Multiple times even when his dithering cheapskatery buckled us. Kept Lennon in a job when he should have been let go after the Feranvaros shambles. Shat himself to call out Sevco. I could go on. I said it when Rogers left, the darling of so many, thst the problem Rogers leaving it was Lawell staying. We get shot of bonus ball and look how far we have come in 18 months. Think where we could have been if he left a decade ago and we had a top guy who went for it. Gave the manager support and had no say in recruitment. I knew he was slinking back the moment the anonymous blazer left. Great businessman? Don’t make me laugh.

£7m is low I thought we'd realistically get between £12-15m for him still especially after such a good world cup. But it's a quick healthy profit, GG will be the same and Johnston and the potential Cho look good replacements without breaking the bank.
