Texts in here last few days of no chances no progression etc of youth. today highlights this for me. surely vata or ben wylie could've been on bench instead of forrest hasbanavic lawall getting 2nd half or 30 mins. ben summers instead of hatate or oriley . give them a chance or what's the point in having a youth system .

Ange said yesterday Vata is facing some time on the sidelines he picked up an injury or I'm sure he'd have had a decent run out today.

If we had made wholesale changes, played a few of the youth and struggled or even got beat then there would have been an uproar.
Ange will be wanting to win every game and after the St Mirren defeat, I don't think he will ever make the mistake of changing the majority of the team for a game again.

{Ed007's Note - I didn't - and I will say now I don't in future - think Ange will ever make wholesale changes for cup games, I remember when he first came in he said something about why would players need a rest, they can rest when they retire or something along those lines.}

Ange said in his interview yesterday, chances have to be earned and not given and that's his mentality. Playing well in the B team doesn't mean if you train with first team you'll get playing time, you still have to train and perform better than the players around you and that is where it gets difficult for the younger players. I feel sorry for them but only they can make the transition happen.

Never read about vata Jonbhoy . do we get to a stage if we're scared of a bad result we then close the acadamy don't have squad players . play the same 11 every week then defeats draws or poor performances won't happen . I know that's extreme but they have to get a chance.
