Celtic website says manny pèrez and gutman have both signed and gone back to USA to develop. Thought Gutman had gone AWOL?

NT87

1.) 31 Jan 2019 20:27:33
Someone found out he was on a flight to American and never researched it right.

2.) 31 Jan 2019 20:30:17
Something doesn't seem right with this.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 20:40:23
What clubs are they getting loaned too?

4.) 31 Jan 2019 20:43:20
delstarr76, what isn't right is the way some so-called fans react to news when it comes out. Gutman never said he wasn't coming, the club never said he wasn't coming, it was the hit whoring media who spun a story and some people lapped it up. HH.

5.) 31 Jan 2019 21:19:29
What doesn't seem right 2 promising young players sign and we loan them back. not exactly unheard of.

6.) 31 Jan 2019 21:30:50
Bob 2 days ago gutman was AWOL and now all is well weird how a lot reported he was gone and now turns up again.

7.) 31 Jan 2019 21:51:24
delstarr, who said he was AWOL? Did our club say it? Did he say he was going and not returning?
The fact that he was being loaned back to his US club anyway suggests there was no need for him to hang around in Glasgow. And the fact that Celtic chose to wait until today to make the announcement is no big deal. HH.

8.) 31 Jan 2019 22:09:20
The press either getting it wrong or just telling blatant lies seems strange to you delstarr?

9.) 31 Jan 2019 22:37:55
In the papers and on here as well. So this is what we have become, sign 2 Unknown’s and send one to Nashville fc and god knows who. The team needs a boost now not next year or the year after.

10.) 31 Jan 2019 22:40:23
Its an Iran-contra sort of thing. Sell him to us, ship him out to Caracas in a celtic foundation t-shirt. Buy some kitsch Maduro miniatures with the proceeds. Everyone's a winner.

11.) 31 Jan 2019 22:42:23
Kev in Scotland that just doesn’t happen.

12.) 31 Jan 2019 22:48:25
Is this what we've become?
So now you have a problem with Celtic buying up good promising players and loaning them out for experience. Like every big team in the world does?

13.) 31 Jan 2019 22:59:40
Have you seen them play. Or just YouTube what do you know now about them.

14.) 01 Feb 2019 00:13:13
Gutman was not AWOL and the shved deal was done weeks ago

Lawwell told them to leave and return on deadline day.

To make the end of the window look better.

Don't believe me then check my post from days ago. It's exactly what I said he was AWOL for. Ed can confirm if yous look back.

Terrible tactics from Lawwell.

15.) 01 Feb 2019 01:14:06
Seems to be the business model of lots of big clubs, get some promising young players in whilst at a lower value and loan them out for some experience.

Quite happy with this window tbh.

13 Jan 2018 19:34:41
Got a proper rumour page story. My old man met Peter Lawwell in a pub in St Andrews last night, said he was really busy just now with it being the transfer window. Says he's working on a few deals in and out. Obviously no going to disclose stuff to my dad, but said there would be activity! No surprise big Pedro didn't put his hand in his pocket.

NT87

1.) 13 Jan 2018 20:16:12
NT87, aka Hoopy88, aka UJ
Pedro is in Dubai topping up his tan.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 22:12:25
Pedro was in St Andrews buddy. I've not made up that He's said anything major. So why would my old man, make up that he was there. Are you in Dubai with Pedro?

3.) 13 Jan 2018 22:12:53
Doubt Lawwell will be in Dubai Tim not at this time of year.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 22:29:56
Why anyone goes to Dubai is beyond me. Maybe a Sex in the City fan?

5.) 13 Jan 2018 22:42:21
Tim thinks he knows best.

6.) 14 Jan 2018 03:48:12
tim ALWAYS knows best.

7.) 14 Jan 2018 11:59:28
I certainly believe the bit about not buying a drink. That gives the story a persuasive truth element. Hopefully Peter, in between avoiding getting them in, was telling the truth about his schedule.

8.) 14 Jan 2018 18:00:32
Shergar was acting up so he had to get back to his table, jimmy Hoffa couldn't calm him down and lord lucan was useless.

9.) 14 Jan 2018 18:00:33
He did say Henderson was away to Bari. That seems a bizarre move for him. he'd be great for a derby or bristol city.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 19:41:01
Pedro was in my local Masonic Club tonight and said once they sell Sinclair to Wolves, move Dembele to Milan on loan and release Gordon so that he can join Ian Black at Tranent Juniors he will look to bring in a couple of new faces on loan or projects. Mind you he was rat arsed on Snakebites so I would take all of the aforementioned with a pinch of salt!

16 Jan 2016 22:47:12
Heard 2 rumours tonight that actually sounded like they'd be good signings. Sviatchenko and Falk, that means they are probably complete nonsense.

NT87

1.) 18 Jan 2016 00:28:09
Hi ED do you know anything about this Falk guy and what are the chances of him signing? And as the days pass the Fletcher story just won't go away have you heard anything on that? I heard that wages are an issue but you never know.

{Ed007's Note - Odense winger Rasmus Falk could be another possible summer signing on a Bosman, his contract is up and representatives of CFC have held talks with the player's agent. I would be surprised to see a deal done for him moving this window. Just like in every other window I can't see there being anything in the Fletcher link, hasn't the rumour this window just stemmed from some $hite written in the DR?}

2.) 18 Jan 2016 08:03:42
Aye that's where I heard it on the DR live blog they are doing. It was unconfirmed reports and they did mention possible Celtic wanting to be kept upto date with the The situation wae the striker fae St Johnstone but the was speculation.

Looking forward to playing rangers next week. I think their plan will be to kick it long and morelos will look to win free kicks at every opportunity. Really hope the celtic boys rise to the occasion. If abada and christie on either side do what they have been they will run riot, also will nullify their threat from right and left back as they'll be scared to go forward. We had no width against them all last season. Really hope we out a marker down. Loving watching Celtic right now. In Ange we Trust!

How are folk finding these ballots for ST's, now on the fifth (? ) home game with fans and I've still not been picked in the ballot. Getting a bit fed up already, and that just adds to the shocking product on the pitch.

NT87

1.) 30 Jul 2021 07:39:03
Are you saying that the first 5 home games have been allocated? I haven't heard a word from Celtic about balloting. I joined the C.V. scheme and at the very least thought I would receive an email saying I'd been unsuccessful. Nothing. I don't even know if I'm being entered into the ballot.
Yet again, Celtic and customer service are miles apart.

2.) 30 Jul 2021 10:07:01
I think he means the friendlies plus the game against the Danes.

04 Feb 2018 07:57:41
I have a laugh at how OTT some of the posters are after a defeat. In all my years watching, there have been big highs and equally big lows. Celtic are in a great time just now, with a great manager and a team who could win 10 in a row. At the moment we are ravaged by injury and are maybe lacking a bit of spark from last season, so how about the fans see this is a time for just getting behind the bhoys and giving them a lift. They've given me plenty of highs lately. Instead of slagging the team, Rodgers, lawwell, transfers and whatever else you want to blame.

NT87

1.) 04 Feb 2018 10:14:48
Well said NT, some of the fans who are old enough should just remember the 90's and some of the younger ones should just take a look at the league tables of those years, and think how lucky they are now. It was tough being a celt then.

2.) 04 Feb 2018 10:36:43
Some fans are so spoilt and panicking over nothing.
We were never going to hit the same hights as last season. There was always going to be a slump.
We are on course for another treble and in Europe competition after Xmas. Yes we are not playing at our best at the moment but just like all fantastic runs come to an end so does form slumps.

3.) 04 Feb 2018 12:26:29
The 90’s should never be used as a benchmark. That time was the zenith our that self interested cabal ifcan okd boards lacks of ambition.

It was truly grim and I wouldn’t wish it on any supporter.

We have to decide if we really are serious about stepping up. Is anybody convinced we are with how we dealt with the defensive frailties? If you are you really are living in the 99’s when anything was welcomed. We are better than that. Let’s ficus on being better than mons team rather than the utter dross we endured in the 90’s until TB took over.

17 Dec 2017 22:15:01
Today was a horror show, and out of any team I hate losing to Hearts, along with the Rangers*. However it is just a defeat and it'll be forgotten about. A total freak result. A lot of folk talking about changes for Partick, I think Rodgers will keep almost the same 11 against Partick. He won't want to drop players and dent confidence of a group that did the business for a season and a half. Looking forward to seeing a reaction now and no worrying about a defeat. Been saying for 5 or 6 that it looked like it was affecting us.

NT87

1.) 18 Dec 2017 10:04:36
As disappointed as I am about the result and how bad we were all over the pitch, this is the first time since BR's arrival that any Scottish team has out-played and out-fought us in any game.
The unbeaten run is now resigned to history and may never be matched and maybe it will unburden a few of the players?
On saying that, there are a few who are really under-performing and will hopefully recapture the form of last season very soon.
On the other hand, as good as Hearts were yesterday, you can bet your Christmas bonus, they will come back down to earth very soon - like all of our domestic opponents, who play out their skins when it suits, picking and choosing what games to try a leg?
Hibs were another example who fought back to draw with us, only to fall on their backsides in their next two games.

{Ed007's Note - Did Hibs fight back or did we throw away a two goal lead? At 2-0 up we should have had enough in the tank to see the game out, even after Hibs got their first goal we started to look heavy legged and should have shut up shop.}

I'm hoping Griffiths and Ajeti will get punted. Would like to see Ajeti go on loan to see if he can get fitter, and Griffiths just needs to move on.

Foster spoke highly of celtic on a podcast last week, that's enough for the media to make up a story.

I'm just listening to his bit on Sportsound last night, it's all very strange the amount he talks about Celtic, and Scotland. All while we're actively looking for a manager. Celtic should be on the phone to him now, he sounds very impressive. Also weird that he's contracted to Salzburg.

Keane did a great job at Sunderland, who are my English team and my Sunderland supporting family liked him. I actually don't think he would be a disaster and would hope that time with O'Neill may have benefitted him. Whoever comes in, the recruitment needs to be spot on this season.

Another who came at the end of his career, and had his flaws, but Steve Guppy was an unbelievable crosser too. I mind when i was younger thinking Tosh McKinlay was class. Then went to hospitality and he was the rep for our box. He was absolutely marack.
