Weah looks class in a glass.

Sinclair as a player totally mystifies me .
His off the ball runs and timing is top class he always sniffs out a chance . if he had the physique he would be a really good striker .
He is built like a winger, quick like a winger but seems lacking in ideas .
So he's like half winger half a striker . Hard to argue with his goals and assists but somehow manages to frustrate me .

He also fustrates me also.
The amount of sitters he has missed, you could make a video.
I have mentioned before I do sympathise with him because most of his chance land on his weaker foot.
I know he is a professional footballer and he should have buried that sitter tonight.
But normally like tonight if the ball lands to you at the back post, you would let the ball come across your body and side foot it in with your natural left foot, it is impossible to miss.
Not for Sinclair because he is not left footed, so there is that possibility that he will miss.
Time and time again he is being made to look silly with all these sitters.
Not many players get asked to play a position where they are not at their strongest and that is how I feel about Sinclair.
I don't think he is good enough to play on the left for Celtic.
I would rather have a left footer who can get to the bye line and cross a good ball especially if Bayo is in the team with his aerial threat.
I would give Sinclair some game time on the right wing when Forrest is rested.
Although it didn't work out away to Hibs I would give it another chance because the whole team were poor that day.

Sinclair got a brace btwšŸ˜‚.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 04:21:57
Iā€™ve slaughtered Sinclair at times on here and yes he misses some chances but today he couldā€™ve and shouldā€™ve had at least 4/ 5 goals himself. His pen I thought was poor and the offside goal for me was as shocking an offside decision as your ever likely to see, not even close to being offside. He is frustrating at times I get that, what I would say is he gets himself into those positions to have the chance in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 09:25:53
"Weaker foot? " He is a professional footballer being paid good money. He should be working on his "weaknesses" on the training ground.
He gets some goals and he assists but he has the potential to be so much better.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 10:09:30
He would have taken the ball home yesterday if the linesman was able to look along a line because there was nothing wrong with his 3rd goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 11:05:55
I agree he get himself into those positions but I would also say if he converted all those opportunities he wouldn't be a celtic player anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 22:55:13
5 goals last 3 games could have been more.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 22:56:26
I took critiscm on here for suggesting Sinclair is a poor finisher who lacks composure. He's especially frustrating when one on one with the keeper. That being said you may have a point with regards to chances falling on his weaker foot. BR does seem to prefer to play him as an inverted winger though so he can cut inside to take a shot on goal.

Anyone know if there's an option to extend weah contract after this season a heard there's another year there if he diz well the bhoy looks absolutely dynamite, ed any idea what sort of money we are talking to buy him out right? Cheers.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

20 Jan 2019 00:11:52
Nothing remotely close to what we could afford.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 02:53:33
Probably 20m upwards, and that's just for the brand name.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 04:24:06
Best we can hope is to extend his loan deal. Iā€™d have loved his loan to be in the same mould as the paddy Roberts loan, an 18 month loan minimum that gives him a right taste of Celtic and gives us a chance to see what he can really do over the course of a full season plus.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 20:03:01
Enjoyed the game, slow start and got better as game went on, Celtic have a very quick forward line and now with more choice, Burke will improve with games and what a Weah to start, he knows the Weah to goal.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 20:52:59
Oh no, are weah going to continue talking like this for the rest of the season?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:07:35
At least Weah all on the same Hymn sheet. Weah bound to win another Treble now, no Weah they zombies catchin us now, not Weah team like theirs. Weah the Champions and that's how itl stay. BOOMšŸ†BOOMšŸ†BOOMšŸ†.

Another honest mistake from the linesman tonight to chop off Sinclair's third goal for offside.

His positioning was excellent and was looking right across the line and Sinclair was a yard behind the defenders when the shot was struck, so how me managed to call that wrong I have no idea.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 21:00:22
That decision was shocking and embarrassing for the linesman. As you say looking back on the replay the linesman could not be better placed and still got it horribly wrong.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:01:45
It's in their genetic make-up and no matter who the opponent or the scoreline, the establishment just cannot contain their big chance to show their brothers how easy it is to cheat and get away with it.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:54:26
I used to be in favour of var, but I was listening to an English game on the radio, the other night, and Bryson scored a well worked, exelenty executed peach of a goal, well according to the commentators, but then VAR was called for, turns out Waghorns right foot was in an offside position when he passed to the scorer, so it went from being a great goalto an offside decision, never saw or heard the game today, because my radios broke, and I didn't start watching it on YouTube untill after the Sinclair offside, so it sounds like VAR could have been used in today's offside, when reading the stuff on here, there was an obvious mistake, but it will really slow the game down and break up play if situations like the Waghorn one are used to call on VAR, even if technically Waghorn was in an offside position, the linesmen couldn't really be blamed for missing it, if it was such a close call.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:56:25
It was a shocking mistake. Not bias but totally unfit for the job. VAR in Scotland would just elevate the problem big time under the Powers that be.

Ah daftabit after I pointed out last week that Seamus Coleman was a right back and therefore wouldn't be coming to take KT's place you must have info that he is in fact coming to take Ralston and Lustig's place. hahahahahah Have you started baking that humble pie you want me to eat?

19 Jan 2019 19:45:53
Agree lawman, Ralston looks very poor defensively.

Donjim, what has Kt got to do with the RB position? Stick to watching Aberdeen SON.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 21:07:05
Both Ralston and Bain deserve a chance. Not purely on todayā€™s performance but anytime Bain has played heā€™s never let us down and looks so composed with the ball at his feet, distribution compared to Gordon is night and day. For dafabet to slaughter Ralston is laughable. Thought the boy done well today, and in my opinion in hindsight should have started at Ibrox instead of lustig who has been poor for long enough although Iā€™d still like a more experienced RB brought in.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 21:54:02
Ralston was good tonight and has been since he came it. Bain is a must.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:49:18

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:57:26
Gerry the boy Ralston done nothing whilst out on loan last year. Going forward he looks ok, defensively he is poor and will cost us points in the SPL. Nowhere near good enough for the first 11.

He played up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 19:12:35
He clearly needs games/ fitness/ confidence and the team tried their best to lay on a goal for him, but it wasn't to be.
Got to be happy though with all the players that took part in a very good, dominant performance that on another day would have seen nine or ten goals if we had been up to speed. Well played Bhoys.

19 Jan 2019 19:28:29
I thought he played well. Created space for himself and team mates and some nice link up play to bring other into the match.

Brown what a servant, time to go to pasture.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

19 Jan 2019 22:53:18
Why is it time for him to go to pasture as you say dafabet, he played well tonight . I for one am glad heā€™s with us, still need him around . Everyone knows what he gives us on and off the pitch, in fact Iā€™d be surprised if he went to Australia as it will be burning away at him, his and the teams performance at their dome.

Does anyone on here think that he will want that picture of the people giving it to him to be an iconic moment for them in the season. Heā€™s too much of a competitor for that. He wonā€™t be happy til heā€™s pictured standing over them, probably with another league medal in his hands. Too many people want to write him off too early.

What do people think of Bitton taking Browns place as CDM should Brown move on at the end of the season?
Frees up around Ā£25k per week towards wages for new players for positions we actually need cover for, we have good options in centre mid and will be stronger with a fully fit Bitton. I think Bitton has been unlucky not to get a run of games in midfield since Brendan Rodgers arrived mainly due to how good Brown was the last 2 season's.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 17:22:13
I'd be all for giving him a chance, is he fit yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 17:54:11
Bitton has been non existant for a reason. You would get 1 good game in 10 from him and we already have too many of them stealing a wage.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 20:15:54
Bittons been out injured since end of last season having had surgery on a knee just back from recuperation. oldkilly.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 20:20:18
He's actually been non-existent as he's been injured for 14 months.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:15:41
Look how other players have flourished under Rodgers. I think Bitton could do the same. The main reason he didn't get a game in midfield was due to Browns form the previous 2 season's. Rodgers has publicly stated that when speaking about Bitton and Kouassi. I think if Brown signs a pre contract elsewhere then Bitton should be phased in between now and the end of the season to see how he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:55:00
Bittons no use in midfield, he looked much better when playing as a centre back, before he got injured.

Watching Leicester today- astonished Benkovic is not being recalled. We look rock solid compared to them. If they get a new manager before the window closes we can say goodbye to him I reckon.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 15:21:15
Im not buying that. Leicester City have reassured club and benkovic that he will be here till end of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 15:30:20
philtim88, Claude Puel said he has no plans to recall him but he could change his mind. Also if he gets the boot then a new manager may want him back right away. To the best of my knowledge Leicester CAN recall him if they wish and they are perfectly entitled to do so as he's their player. We all hope they won't but we'll be in a bit of a spot if they do. HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 13:13:45
I think broony will go at the end of season, I also think it's already been arranged if it hasn't it will be and I think the club need to keep it stumm until season end, all it will create is a media frenzy and number one talking point in games which will filter to the dressing room and could cause a poor response from team "what will celtic do without there captain? " or "do celtic have anyone to replace him? ". It's just another baxkpage headline that the media will use against us, when he leaves he need a heroes exit, I do not care, he could have been a dud all these years but that celebration to diouf was legendary he should be remembered for that and many more magic broony moments.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 22:54:33
It give him options to play a false 9 but a big false nine if itā€™s not working he can switch Burke and Forrest or even Sinclair and Burke during the game or bring on Weah and keep the defence Questing as to who is playing in the 9 roll.

I'm quite happy with business so far tbh, not what we could do with the money we have but I'm sure we will all agree we needed new faces and the faces brought in loan's or not are still going to strengthen the squad, I've never seen a transfer window when we have ever actually spent in my 31 years supporting the club, 2 weeks to go I expect 2 new players and at least 4 departures.
