Heard three people this morning saying Clarke is trying call dembele up to scotland squad. If that's true he just trying to get him early over England.

Cory67

1.) 22 May 2019 11:22:14
Hope so, young lads a talent and would love him to wear the Scotland badge for life.

2.) 22 May 2019 11:57:07
I hope so too.

3.) 22 May 2019 12:09:25
Good on him.

4.) 22 May 2019 12:35:51
I'm not convinced he'd accept the invitation. He seems to be enjoying exploring his options and, as a boy who was born in England, he'd have a much better chance of International success if he chooses England.

5.) 22 May 2019 12:49:30
He's seen both set ups id be surprised if he doesn't choose england.

6.) 22 May 2019 14:19:17
It's about how he feels. I'm born in England but support Scotland. I think he will chose England but you never know.

7.) 22 May 2019 14:32:49
Kevbhoy I would suggest he has a much better chance of racking up senior Scotland caps than he would getting capped for England.

8.) 22 May 2019 14:55:42
Ice man if he lives up to his potential and keeps his feet on the ground there's every chance he'll be a great player for whoever he chooses.

9.) 22 May 2019 15:10:28
Agree with everything that has been said here and absolutely Clarke should try to get him for Scotland, in fact I'd love to find some distant Irish relative to sign him up for Ireland.

10.) 22 May 2019 16:33:11
We should keep a lid on this and I am sure SC is astute enough not to make this an issue, I remember all the stick Aiden McGeady got for picking Ireland over Scotland, we don’t want any of that nonsense put onto KD.

11.) 22 May 2019 17:15:38
Doubt he would get the same stick for choosing England over Scotland though since it was a certain section of Scottish Fan's that it came from for mcgeady and it being ROI.

12.) 22 May 2019 20:48:34
As far as i am concerned, McGeady and McCarthy were both traitors, picking Ireland because their grandparents were born there.

13.) 22 May 2019 21:48:18
Sjaldad shows how much you actually know. Both players were ignored by Scotland at youth level for years. Scotland didn't want them until they became 1st team player
They picked ROI because they had played all through youth system with them and had been made to feel wanted.
Was the SFA and their coaching staffs fault we lost out on 2 fantastic players.

21 May 2019 07:52:00
Rakeem Harper from west Brom. We are apparently in for and was at the game at weekend.

Cory67

1.) 22 May 2019 17:07:45
Think he is coming up for the final too.

2.) 22 May 2019 21:33:54
Totally underwhelmed if this is the level of player we are targeting. We need good 1st team players not just young guys with potential all the time.
With no head of recruitment or permanent manager in place this is either paper talk or 1 of the reasons Brendan left. His comments after signing the Ukrainian winger was worrying.

3.) 23 May 2019 07:04:15
Harper is being Targeted by Tottenham. Think everyone seems underwhelmed but Dele Alli signed from MK Dons. Just because he plays for a specific club doesn’t make him a bad player. Think some people don’t understand how football works and are too quick to take a dig at a player. We could pay a minimal compensation fee for a highly talented Footballer with massive potential and everyone starts crying about it. If harper was on a 3 year deal West Brom would probably hold out for 10-15 million in the English market.

15 Apr 2019 07:40:18
Manchester United after moussa dembelle. Anyone know if we had a sell on clause in his deal?

Cory67

1.) 15 Apr 2019 11:10:44
According to The Herald when MD left the fee was £18m up front with further £2.5 m plus sell on clause (no mention of percentage) .

{Ed007's Note - The information the Club gave the Stcok Exchange was that we received a one off payment of 22 million Euros for Dembele and there's no mention of any sell-on clause:

md

2.) 15 Apr 2019 17:22:42
Would they normally include sell %'s when informing the stock exchange of player sales?

3.) 16 Apr 2019 07:27:34
I really hope we weren't silly enough to miss the boat on his future fees, surely we all knew would end up at a massive club. It wouldn't be like pedro to miss a trick.

4.) 17 Apr 2019 22:43:46
If we haven't an add - on deal with Dembele, I think the reason is that Lyons offered something like €15m plus % of next transfer or €22m and no % add on .
We can't make other clubs doneverything we want.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 07:20:01
We can't but we can always say no Deal.

6.) 18 Apr 2019 16:01:59
There wasn't any chance of saying "no deal" as Dembele was after Rodgers who was running for his life.

06 Apr 2019 14:00:47
Boyata going hertha Berlin. What a step down.

Cory67

1.) 06 Apr 2019 15:10:59
Is it a step down, better wages, playing against really good teams each week

Hertha sure are not Celtic but let’s be honest anyone that stays in Scotland too long really lacks ambition to better themselves.

2.) 06 Apr 2019 19:41:53
I met him at Edinburgh Airport yesterday, but I suppose he could’ve been coming back from anywhere. Stopped and quickly got a photo with my bhoys and asked them where they were flying from etc. Fair play.

3.) 06 Apr 2019 20:01:23
Well if you asked him where he was flying from, where did he say?

4.) 06 Apr 2019 23:31:38
Not a criticism keV T but that comment efficitvely means you can't have a man that wants to be a one club man. Even touches on accusing brown of lacking ambition. Bit harsh if you ask me. Especially when wer quick enough to dig up boys who leave for lower level English teams.

5.) 07 Apr 2019 10:32:53
I was taking the photo Jimtim, it was him that was chatting to my boy and asking him where he was flying to/ from. I just thanked him for taking the time and wished him good look.

6.) 07 Apr 2019 11:17:26
Nialdo88

You’ll always get some players that have a comfort zone and believe me i would love Tierney, McGregor and Forrest to be one man clubs

But they should realistically be looking to move to a better league to test themselves.

When I say test themselves I mean moving to a top 5 league not the English championship.

7.) 07 Apr 2019 13:01:49
No probs Stu 👍. Seems to have legs this one.

8.) 07 Apr 2019 13:35:01
Who really cares where boyata goes. I for one couldn't careless he is a scumbag.

9.) 07 Apr 2019 20:57:59
A scumbag?
Complete idiocy; what’s grounds have you got to call anyone that?

10.) 07 Apr 2019 21:08:30
The fact he refused to play for us in a CL qualifier the fact that he stated he or his agent stated he didn't want to be here or play for us so he is a scumbag.

11.) 07 Apr 2019 23:49:09
He can go wherever he likes as long as it's not us.

12.) 08 Apr 2019 06:52:38
Can’t se how that makes him **** Marco
No loyal to Celtic, head turned by transfer talk, he won’t be the last.
I personally think he would be easier replaced as he is prone to frequent lapses in concentration
But to go around calling him **** doesn’t seem right to me.
Have you met him?

13.) 08 Apr 2019 12:07:43
I try to keepmy judging to "facts" and whilst its true that he refused to play in the CL qualifier we took the word of BREXIT rather than the word of Boyata and why shouldn't we have, after all BREXIT is a and always has been a diehard Celtic supporter who was in his dream job and was going to get us the 10. Perhaps facts now show that Boyata is probably the more trustworthy of the two and when he said he was unable to play he actually was unable to play. I think many of us had a knee jerk reaction when he left the field in the last game with rangers and yet again it seems Boyata knows his body and knew whe couldn't play on. It is like seeing someone steal and immediately he is labeled as a thief but perhaps someone is holding his family hostage forcing hi to steal, he is dying of hunger forcing him to steal, he is a klyptomaniac unable to resist the urge to steal etc etc.

14.) 08 Apr 2019 17:36:13
B Rodgers who most of us would check our watches, if he told us the time, told us the story about Boyata and the champions League qualifier . I for one don't believe a word B R says m so I don't believe his Boyata tale.

15.) 08 Apr 2019 23:52:28
Don't really care if Boyata goes good riddance. Personally think he is overated and I would rather get behind the players who want to play for us.

21 Mar 2019 09:40:49
Heard marco rose is the preferred option as manager, and he has hinted he will be leaving in the summer. Thought this was a non starter my self but the rumour seems to be picking up traction.

Cory67

1.) 21 Mar 2019 11:26:49
That would be ideal Cory. Hope we don’t just go with Lennon. I think we could learn a lot from Rose and can clearly spot a player. Plus his links to the Eastern European market would be absolutely ideal.

2.) 21 Mar 2019 13:56:58
100% agree and he is my preferred choice, but I thought this rumour was a non starter but thing seem to be falling in to place and if he does leave then who knows. If we don't get him though I think it's a cert to be Lennon unless the rest of the season is a disaster. We got 9 million for Rodgers that either needs to go on another manager or players. preferably both.

3.) 22 Mar 2019 01:21:10
Lennon would be a huge step backwards imo we need a good European coach to take us to the next level but the board need to back him.

I thought players had to play so many games to get winners medal?

Cory67

1.) 19 May 2019 18:43:50
On the radio, Scott McDonald said the ones today are like kid on ones n they get the real ones in a few weeks and for those you need to have played 10 or more games.

2.) 19 May 2019 19:21:17
There were so many the announcer never knew all their names ha ha.

3.) 19 May 2019 19:39:49
I remember in the EPL minimum 15 games for a full 90 mins!

19 Apr 2019 13:56:36
Do you guys think a manager will be appointed before the end of the season. or will Celtic wait till its finished.

Cory67

1.) 19 Apr 2019 14:20:03
When we win the league I think they will announce Lennon aa new manager.

2.) 19 Apr 2019 14:39:37
My personal guess is that Lenny will be officially confirmed a couple days before the cup final.

3.) 19 Apr 2019 14:43:50
Hopefully the Monday after the Scottish Cup final.

4.) 19 Apr 2019 16:41:19
Can't see them announcing lenny before final. Imagine the back lash if he lost it?

5.) 19 Apr 2019 19:10:34
Positive thinking Kev .

6.) 19 Apr 2019 19:54:51
After the final would be the best time to announce who the next permanent manager is. Naming lennon now would underwhelm most, announcing someone else would undermine lennon. He at least deserves that respect.

7.) 20 Apr 2019 09:42:32
May not be positive OAB. But it's true. Some fans would want to lynch the lot of them if it went down that way.

02 Apr 2019 13:53:40
Riddle me this.

Who is always coming but never arrives?

Cory67

1.) 02 Apr 2019 14:55:26
The morra.

2.) 02 Apr 2019 15:07:26
The rangers.

3.) 02 Apr 2019 16:02:55
A good challenge in the league 😉.

4.) 02 Apr 2019 19:02:54
Fifty-five.

5.) 02 Apr 2019 19:17:46
Santa with a bag of ashes for Morelos.

6.) 02 Apr 2019 21:02:43
It's me at my age Lol.

7.) 02 Apr 2019 21:37:37
Used to be me on the blue pills.

8.) 02 Apr 2019 22:12:06
Ha ha, good edit Ed.

{Ed007's Note - 😉

31 Mar 2019 14:11:06
Brown's interview 😂.

Cory67

1.) 31 Mar 2019 14:31:26
Class brown is our leader and he controlled the game today. And they say he is finished. What's our thoughts on lenonn getting the job. He shows the passion every celtic supporter needs. Running up the sideline when forrest scored. And as an Irish man myself damain duff shows that same passion as us supporters.

2.) 31 Mar 2019 14:42:23
Lennons a no for me. i said that the other day! Love lenny and he’s stepped up to help us again. but I want someone fresh brought in! Great result today and that’s all that matters! But the 2nd half was absolutely woeful! New manager and fresh ideas for me!

3.) 31 Mar 2019 14:45:22
Sorry Lenny is a legend but don't think he is the man to take us forward. So its a no from me all well and good running up sidelines etc. Would just prefer my team doing the business on the park. Team selection and subs questionable imo delighted with 3 points though. Injuries might cost us in treble quest. hopefully not.

22 Feb 2019 12:31:38
My one performance I was disappointed with last night was boyata. For me he would be on the bench the rest of the season with simo and ajer first choice. Need to build a partnership for next season and boyata is no better than either of them for me. But Last night show we can compete in Europe and with a few defensive reinforcements in the summer and we can progress.

Cory67

1.) 22 Feb 2019 12:54:43
Thought boyata was excellent as was the whole back line, couple of times concentrating between the back 3 happened early on with misplaced passes but apart from that they were very strong under pressure.

2.) 22 Feb 2019 17:32:08
Boyata was awful first half and rock solid second half. Jozo and Ajer was rocks too. Brown and Bain also.

3.) 22 Feb 2019 19:24:59
All the nonsense aside I think we need better than Boyata. He done ok second half but really he's not that great a defender.

We can do better. We need 2 quality CBs and Ajer should learn from them.

I'd take him in a heart beat. Don't see it happening but would be some capture. The kind of big name that will get players wanting to come. but again would be a huge shock if he did.

Rb and CB has to be priority. Potentially 2cb and cover at lb to unless Miller or the American boy is being seen as good enough for next season.

I'd have him on the Bench and bring on either if we are winning by a couple or need a goal with 20 to go. I'd also go with Johnston over rogic and have Henderson on the bench. All 3 deserve it off recent form. More than rogic, burke and a couple of others. I thinks it's time we start really giving our youth a chance some very good youngsters with huge potential. I look at ajax this year and think we can do that if we are run properly. We have the players coming g through to do it.

It's not whether the board show ambition. Its whether these names want to come to us. Sutton has said we approached JM but it ain't going to happen. I would have preferred Clarke over Lennon personally, but prefer both to Moyes. I wouldn't mind a bilic, Houghton or bielsa. I think being realistic bielsa is my preferred choice.
