Got a proper rumour page story. My old man met Peter Lawwell in a pub in St Andrews last night, said he was really busy just now with it being the transfer window. Says he's working on a few deals in and out. Obviously no going to disclose stuff to my dad, but said there would be activity! No surprise big Pedro didn't put his hand in his pocket.

NT87, aka Hoopy88, aka UJ
Pedro is in Dubai topping up his tan.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 22:12:25
Pedro was in St Andrews buddy. I've not made up that He's said anything major. So why would my old man, make up that he was there. Are you in Dubai with Pedro?

3.) 13 Jan 2018 22:12:53
Doubt Lawwell will be in Dubai Tim not at this time of year.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 22:29:56
Why anyone goes to Dubai is beyond me. Maybe a Sex in the City fan?

5.) 13 Jan 2018 22:42:21
Tim thinks he knows best.

6.) 14 Jan 2018 03:48:12
tim ALWAYS knows best.

7.) 14 Jan 2018 11:59:28
I certainly believe the bit about not buying a drink. That gives the story a persuasive truth element. Hopefully Peter, in between avoiding getting them in, was telling the truth about his schedule.

8.) 14 Jan 2018 18:00:32
Shergar was acting up so he had to get back to his table, jimmy Hoffa couldn't calm him down and lord lucan was useless.

9.) 14 Jan 2018 18:00:33
He did say Henderson was away to Bari. That seems a bizarre move for him. he'd be great for a derby or bristol city.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 19:41:01
Pedro was in my local Masonic Club tonight and said once they sell Sinclair to Wolves, move Dembele to Milan on loan and release Gordon so that he can join Ian Black at Tranent Juniors he will look to bring in a couple of new faces on loan or projects. Mind you he was rat arsed on Snakebites so I would take all of the aforementioned with a pinch of salt!

16 Jan 2016 22:47:12
Heard 2 rumours tonight that actually sounded like they'd be good signings. Sviatchenko and Falk, that means they are probably complete nonsense.

1.) 18 Jan 2016 00:28:09
Hi ED do you know anything about this Falk guy and what are the chances of him signing? And as the days pass the Fletcher story just won't go away have you heard anything on that? I heard that wages are an issue but you never know.

{Ed007's Note - Odense winger Rasmus Falk could be another possible summer signing on a Bosman, his contract is up and representatives of CFC have held talks with the player's agent. I would be surprised to see a deal done for him moving this window. Just like in every other window I can't see there being anything in the Fletcher link, hasn't the rumour this window just stemmed from some $hite written in the DR?}

2.) 18 Jan 2016 08:03:42
Aye that's where I heard it on the DR live blog they are doing. It was unconfirmed reports and they did mention possible Celtic wanting to be kept upto date with the The situation wae the striker fae St Johnstone but the was speculation.

I have a laugh at how OTT some of the posters are after a defeat. In all my years watching, there have been big highs and equally big lows. Celtic are in a great time just now, with a great manager and a team who could win 10 in a row. At the moment we are ravaged by injury and are maybe lacking a bit of spark from last season, so how about the fans see this is a time for just getting behind the bhoys and giving them a lift. They've given me plenty of highs lately. Instead of slagging the team, Rodgers, lawwell, transfers and whatever else you want to blame.

1.) 04 Feb 2018 10:14:48
Well said NT, some of the fans who are old enough should just remember the 90's and some of the younger ones should just take a look at the league tables of those years, and think how lucky they are now. It was tough being a celt then.

2.) 04 Feb 2018 10:36:43
Some fans are so spoilt and panicking over nothing.
We were never going to hit the same hights as last season. There was always going to be a slump.
We are on course for another treble and in Europe competition after Xmas. Yes we are not playing at our best at the moment but just like all fantastic runs come to an end so does form slumps.

3.) 04 Feb 2018 12:26:29
The 90’s should never be used as a benchmark. That time was the zenith our that self interested cabal ifcan okd boards lacks of ambition.

It was truly grim and I wouldn’t wish it on any supporter.

We have to decide if we really are serious about stepping up. Is anybody convinced we are with how we dealt with the defensive frailties? If you are you really are living in the 99’s when anything was welcomed. We are better than that. Let’s ficus on being better than mons team rather than the utter dross we endured in the 90’s until TB took over.

Today was a horror show, and out of any team I hate losing to Hearts, along with the Rangers*. However it is just a defeat and it'll be forgotten about. A total freak result. A lot of folk talking about changes for Partick, I think Rodgers will keep almost the same 11 against Partick. He won't want to drop players and dent confidence of a group that did the business for a season and a half. Looking forward to seeing a reaction now and no worrying about a defeat. Been saying for 5 or 6 that it looked like it was affecting us.

1.) 18 Dec 2017 10:04:36
As disappointed as I am about the result and how bad we were all over the pitch, this is the first time since BR's arrival that any Scottish team has out-played and out-fought us in any game.
The unbeaten run is now resigned to history and may never be matched and maybe it will unburden a few of the players?
On saying that, there are a few who are really under-performing and will hopefully recapture the form of last season very soon.
On the other hand, as good as Hearts were yesterday, you can bet your Christmas bonus, they will come back down to earth very soon - like all of our domestic opponents, who play out their skins when it suits, picking and choosing what games to try a leg?
Hibs were another example who fought back to draw with us, only to fall on their backsides in their next two games.

{Ed007's Note - Did Hibs fight back or did we throw away a two goal lead? At 2-0 up we should have had enough in the tank to see the game out, even after Hibs got their first goal we started to look heavy legged and should have shut up shop.}

I think its time McGregor gets a run in the team and actually keeps his place. He's been our best midfielder when he's played this season, but gets dropped for big games. I think ntcham needs dropped and should fight to get back into the team. He started very well this season but his level has really dropped. Especially on big CL nights. Gets caught on the ball and struggles with the basics. Dunno if it's going to take him a while to adjust from playing at Man City development level. Lots complaining that McGregor should be starting for Scotland, yet he rarely starts for us!

1.) 19 Oct 2017 08:32:00
He's better than ntcham that's for sure but think the bhoy needs time. think January might be a busy month right back and cb a necessity if we want to compete in europa.

2.) 19 Oct 2017 10:06:55
Aye I think he'll be good. Just needs to sharpen up a bit. I'd like to see Ajer get game time, given no reason not to trust him.

3.) 19 Oct 2017 10:23:28
Too right. January needs to be a busy month. Crying out for a right back and someone to play along side Dedryk.

4.) 19 Oct 2017 10:41:57
I could understand BR playing Ntcham and Brown to protect our fragile defence but once again in Europe there was a nervousness and fear (not only from the young guys) that contributed to our poor performance and defeat.
All three goals were from static defending and basic errors and the inability to keep the ball at this level is lethal.
Ntcham does seem to struggle at this level but he is still learning, while guys like Gordon Lustig and Sinclair have little or no excuse and have all been under par all season.
Broony looked off the pace as he recovers from injury and for all LG's quality - the lone striker role is not his forte in tough CL away games where support is well nigh zero.

Not able to go the game today, is there any websites that its likely I could get a decent stream on does anyone know?

1.) 30 Sep 2017 15:51:54
Hesgoal. com.

2.) 30 Sep 2017 16:54:04
Used that Hesgoal. com on my mobile, just now, very impressed with it.

I would like to see a 4-3-3, with Sinclair getting a run as a left wing forward, and agree I'd like a good penalty box striker, who can header the ball, maybe not Rodgers style (and although I'm not comparing us to Barcelona, but it's sometimes a bit pass pass pass like they were at times) , a ball into a big man could give us something different. Not sure what free agents would be about and don't want another Carlton Cole, but a big rough em up type guy would often help. Is John Hartson not up for a return?

Lacina Traore is also unattached and guiseppe Rossi but he was always injured.

Highly doubt it. He's highly rated. Swiss international who has had injury troubles. Very similar to Dembele and Edouard in style.

I think McGinn will be a great signing. I think every game against us last season he stood out, and went toe to toe with Brown. He's a bit raw, but seems to raise it for big games. So will do well against Aberdeen and Hibs.

Where's the rumour come from. Absolutely the type of player I'd like us to bring in. During the window I'm hoping we go under the radar and bring players in.

I don't know why Griffith's even hits the pen. Christie and Ntcham both scored penalties recently, so Griffiths shouldn't be near it. Knew he was going to miss, he and Sinclair hurried their pens in the last 2 games. Christie is the player in form, he should take it.

It adds a lot in an attacking sense that he goes beyond the right winger. Gets into better crossing positions than big Mika as he just can't get up and down. Gamboa has mistakes in him, but he's the in form right back so. in my opinion should continue to start.
