Brendan Chris Davies and kolo all going to Leicester now, niel Lennon to take charge till end of season. Gutted. no loyalty in football,

Wulie10

1.) 26 Feb 2019 10:55:45
Gutted definitely. Makes sense about Lenny being interim manager until the end of the season if true. One man for the job in my opinion and that is Steve Clarke.

2.) 26 Feb 2019 11:17:50
I wonder if any celtic players will be playing for Leicester city next season?

3.) 26 Feb 2019 12:46:35
Aye, benkovic 😂.

4.) 26 Feb 2019 12:51:54
Neilbhoy hopefully Johnny Hayes lol.

5.) 26 Feb 2019 13:04:55
Comper if he fits in the boot of his car. Take a medical kit haha.

6.) 26 Feb 2019 14:10:29
It tells you everything, Rodgers taking Davies and Kolo but leaves us Kennedy why not do us a big favour and take him also.

7.) 26 Feb 2019 14:20:41
LMAO gedceltic. If Fergus McCann was still here he would dealt with commper by now lol bottle of lucozade and bunch of grapes feck off! Lol

I like brendans timing, just after we exit Europe he is away. I reckon deal was done last summer to be honest. Bring benkovic on loan and I will sign minute we are out of of Europe. Coincidence?

8.) 26 Feb 2019 15:18:37
I am truly gutted with the news and I hope NL IS ONLY to the summer wonder if it was the lack of ambition from the board more so in the summer that pushed Brendan away? Words fail me must be getting a lot of money from Leicester to let him go at this time of the year more to sit in the bank and admire.

9.) 28 Feb 2019 11:30:11
If Celtic wanted Clarke they'd have gone out this morning and got him. He'd have walked to Celtic Park in his bare feet, backwards, with a blindfold on while juggling his granny's best china. There would have been no issue sorting out a deal with Kilmarnock. HH.

12 Jan 2019 00:12:09
McKenna starting to do the rounds again. Apparently Hayes and hendry loans to them in some sort of deal. Really hope this is rubbish. But apparently coming from someone close to the Aberdeen club. in my opinion he's no better than any of the two of them.

Wulie10

1.) 12 Jan 2019 10:14:43
Mckenna is quality in my opinion.

2.) 12 Jan 2019 10:51:33
I'd hate to think how bad a player must have to be before you think him a bad player if you think he's quality.

3.) 12 Jan 2019 11:39:13
I'd have McKenna in my defence before Hendry every single day of the week.

{Ed007's Note - That's not really saying much though is it, Kev?}

4.) 12 Jan 2019 12:03:34
I would have hoped we had learned our lesson about buying SPL defenders as on our day we have put 4,5 and 6 goals past every top six side (and others) ; Jeezo, even Sevco score against them easily.

5.) 12 Jan 2019 12:39:08
People go mental on here because boyata can't pass a ball and we play a system that means we need a player in there that can.
McKenna is a worse passer than boyata and is about 10 times slower than him.

6.) 13 Jan 2019 11:22:13
I think McKenna is decent, better than Hendry of course and similar standard to Ajer. Good enough as 3rd choice CB for me but not worth upwards of £3m. I’d happily have him in our squad as back up to Ajer and Benkovic but think his value is closer to £2m.

11 Jan 2019 10:33:43
Bid of 3 million been offered for Norwegian lad, Everton have matched that. Player has worked under Marco Silva before. Maybe wee can tempt him with the prospect of cl. would be fantastic signing.

Wulie10

1.) 11 Jan 2019 11:09:12
Why would Everton want him they've got 2 decent rbs.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 11:32:05
Was reported down south both everton and Southampton were interested last week supposedly mally.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 11:56:50
Didn't know that kev but Coleman struggling to get a game so another one wouldn't make sense unless they're getting rid of one.

4.) 11 Jan 2019 13:04:23
Coleman for us would be fantastic even just for rest of season.

5.) 11 Jan 2019 13:34:17
Sometimes managers just want their own players mally and you know what it's like down there buy buy buy.

6.) 11 Jan 2019 16:40:42
Seems team wants 8 million.

7.) 11 Jan 2019 17:43:40
If there’s premiership teams sniffing around wheve no chance they just blow us out the water now lol total farce.

8.) 11 Jan 2019 17:59:24
Next target.

9.) 11 Jan 2019 18:56:38
I like how quick we are moving on if there is any indication that a target won't be coming. That has been one of the problems lately, no plan B.

10.) 11 Jan 2019 19:35:09
Player wee probs could have got a good few years ago few steps back in the market or markets took a few steps forward.

That's Lenny got the job on an interim basis.

Wulie10

12 Feb 2019 19:28:45
What's everyone's take on the accounts that have been released? Wasn't expecting that we would have made that amount after not reaching cl.

Wulie10

1.) 12 Feb 2019 20:41:13
Basically we would have lost money if we hadn't sold dembele.

2.) 12 Feb 2019 20:48:12
A club run well Servco take head.

3.) 12 Feb 2019 23:12:48
I am a Lawwell fan.
We done enough when sevco were not in the league.
We have done enough with sevco in the league.
Pedro has a 10 in a row plan.
If a sugar daddy comes in to try and stop us, at least we have a nice we sum of money to make sure our dreams become a reality.

4.) 12 Feb 2019 23:57:23
Will be sold as a success story but really if we acted in the summer transfer window the way we did in January

We would be in CL groups and earned £40 mil

We lost £40 mil as we were too scared to spend

As a result we sold Dembele to compensate.

5.) 13 Feb 2019 07:12:02
We did not sell dembele to compensate. He was sold because he wanted away and was causing trouble.

6.) 13 Feb 2019 07:44:34
The numbers don't lie. We have extended ourselves as far as possible. We'll need to shed considerable amounts of payroll before we can invest again in players. From a business point of view the club is being managed diligently. Unfortunately football is a dribbling basket case of a sport that laughs maniacally in the face of reason.

7.) 13 Feb 2019 08:08:27
As Kev pointed out we would have lost money if we hadn’t sold Dembele. Not a huge amount amidst the profits that we’ve made in recent years but it may be a warning that we need to reduce costs as CL qualification is becoming more difficult every year and we’ll probably be excluded from it soon.

8.) 13 Feb 2019 11:54:57
Nonsense. We need to increase the quality of the squad and earn £40 mil from the group stages

If we done so we would have closer to £60mil in bank.

Decreasing cost = decreasing quality which will only see us losing out on qualification regularly and literally losing us hundreds of millions over the years.

Qualification isn't getting harder either we go in the champions route and we lost to AEK who are garbage.

We had Hendry at the back cos we went cheap as oppose to getting proper players in.

9.) 13 Feb 2019 16:12:58
We had Hendry at the back because boyata went on strike. You seem to forget a few facts when you start your board bashing telsa.

10.) 13 Feb 2019 17:36:28
Kev, he only posts controversial statements to get a reaction. Don’t rise to the bait.

11.) 13 Feb 2019 18:14:04
Nothing controversial about it. If we spend less our quality will go down. That's just a fact.

We needed CBs last summer nevermind this one. Boyata isn't even good enough anyway in my opinion.

The board should have been recruiting better than Boyata and Instead went for hendry

We actually have a better revenue recently than Valencia. Yet look at their side compared to ours and the wages we pay.

We undercut ourselves.

You people trying to be overly positive about Celtic are doing more damage than good

You think you are defending the club but actually you are justifying the downsizing of a large club into a pub team.

12.) 13 Feb 2019 21:27:15
Reducing costs by punting Allan koassi benyu comper de vries and a few others wouldn't even impact the quality of the team
Our ideal squad size should be about 22 with players like biton McGregor Christie lustig capable of playing a few positions.
Even with out horrendous injury list this season the players mentioned n3ver got a look in koassi excluded.

13.) 13 Feb 2019 22:24:18
Yes get rid of the deadwood but we also need to add quality.

As much as it would be amazing to never spend it's football and to get results you need to.

To get champions League qualification regularly we will need to spend.

If fans are happy to not be at that level (despite it being more than achieveable) then fair enough

But I don't see the point in aiming for lower than our potential.

14.) 13 Feb 2019 23:08:43
So is that lawell on track for another £1m bonus this year again. We will fall even further behind the European team by not investing in the actual football team, the talk of hotels and and I personally would prefer a quality football team than £40m in the bank.

15.) 14 Feb 2019 00:36:21
We would have been close to breaking even if we had not sold Dembele. Our club operate within their means and don't over extend themselves.

As was pointed out we did not need to sell him and he was only sold as he forced through a move himself and we didn't want to keep an unhappy player.

16.) 14 Feb 2019 01:49:03
Rodgers at work. If we qualify for the UCL then we will be way ahead of breaking even.

So why do we sign guys like Hendry who won't get us there?

We only got Burke and Weah in a panic as our injuries became ridiculous

Why not make these moves in summer or similar moves? Then get £40 mil from the champions League?

In the champions route we should be blowing away teams given our revenue.

17.) 14 Feb 2019 16:49:15
Tesla, the only person posting nonsense is yourself . Spending money may help to get success but spending money doesn't guarantee success . It may help you to find fault with Board but doesn't guarantee success in the pitch.

12 Feb 2019 13:06:49
Will it be lustig rb and toijan lb on Thursday then?

Wulie10

1.) 12 Feb 2019 14:13:20
Hayes? What's the update on izzy?

2.) 12 Feb 2019 14:13:31
Or tierney for that matter.

3.) 12 Feb 2019 14:50:47
Well obviously assuming kt doesn't make it, will the gaffer trust Hayes or Izzy defensively?

4.) 12 Feb 2019 17:12:56
Toljan and Hayes for me👍.

5.) 12 Feb 2019 20:41:33
I wouldn't play Tierney unless he is 100% as would prefer having him for business end of season.

01 Feb 2019 14:02:48
There has to be a review of the sports scientists or fitness people at the club, that's rogic out for 6 weeks anaw noo, should never have went away when he was getting injections in the first place. These injury's are not normal, whether it's the training pitches or the actual training no one knows but there is clearly something wrong. Arsenal had the same problem for a long time under venger.

Wulie10

1.) 01 Feb 2019 15:32:30
Wulie10, the fact that you mention Wenger as being the manager at Arsenal when they had injuries is interesting. Are you saying it's all Brendan Rodgers' fault? HH.

2.) 01 Feb 2019 16:14:05
Or maybe it's to do with the fact our players are playing an extreme amount of games couple with the abuse they are taking with no protection from refs.
If these injuries were happening in training all the time you could blame that but they are not.

3.) 01 Feb 2019 18:54:15
Good point Kev, last season Kieran Tierney played more top flight competitive games than any other player in the world. Add plastic pitches to that and you’ve maybe got your answer.

30 Jan 2019 23:27:36
Calmac has to be player of the season for me been superb, also thought broony was very good tonight.

Wasn't the board's fault, Brendan left because he wanted to, and he was feckin backed. Stats prove that. man's a total rat, and people give Kennedy a hard time, he's more a Celtic man than Rodgers will ever be. He can have his leister fans with there wee plastic Clapper's.

24 shots at goal the day, 14 on target. Only thing I would say young timo isn't a 9, oli looks the part through, against better teams timo more of impact player just now.
