Any credible rumours ??.

A lot of the rumours are of explayers coming back. Let's hope they are all just rumours.
As it stands with the right investment and the right recruitment we have the chance to put the foundations down for another decade and dominance and chip away at making some sort of progression in Europe.
However I haven't really got confidence that that will happen. Hopefully the club will prove me wrong.

Wab1 . I, am also bored stiff by this nonsense, transfer window after transfer window . We are fed the same baseless rumours time and time again. Is it to try and make Celtic fans think we are interested in a better class of footballer than before . I would rather watch a new player who I may have seen glimpses of playing elsewhere, playing in the hoops than those who had the chance and thought £30k - £40k per week was beneath him and couldn’t wait until he got away to another “wonderful “ club of his child- hood dreams only to rot away on bench.

Alex Palmer has played in all 28 league games for West Brom this season and he still has 2.5 years left on his contract.

With the money that’s involved in the English Championship,
I would be surprised if any 1st choice goalkeeper would be allowed to leave for under £3 Million,
Especially when he’s only 27 years old.

It’s been reported that West Brom could be interested in Mikey Johnstone.
Maybe he could be used as part of any deal.

I heard that miovski's agent has met with Rodgers and Celtic Representatives and it's just about a done deal ??- just passed this on from a WhatsApp rumour but think big striker will be a good signing.

id prefer shankland but would be happy enough with miovski, id expect him to do a job in scotland but don't think he will keep kyogo out of the team. Good backup and should be able to bag 15 a season as a backup to kyogo.

I’d like us to hijack the Batshuayi deal as surely we can afford him and it would be a kick in the teeth for that mob. He’s a proper penalty box striker that would guarantee us goals while sending a statement out to that mob. Especially if it’s just an initial loan then if he produces like he should we can offer him Champions league football he’s miles better than Shankland or Miovski and would be great competition for Kyogo getting the best out of both.

The transfer window does not need to be open to sign anyone.

With regards to our squad we have only 1 striker if oh leaves and 1 gk if siegreist leaves. However we have, maeda, Kuhn, Forrest, Palma, Yang, Tillio and Johnston. If we want a new winger we need to start offloading who we don't want.

{Ed007's Note - Unless it's a player from Scotland or a free agent (Bosman) Celtic can't sign anyone and even a free agent can't be officially registered until July 1st.
We go through this every year but what transfers have been announced, even Mbappe was on a free so what big multi million pound transfers have been completed never mind the market we're in?

Sevco signed jefte for 400k but I agree about not being able to register players.

From my understanding we can agree deals with clubs, contracts can be signed but the move can't go through until the window opens. Is that not the case?

Yes that's the case but it's not common practice to announce deals before they are finalised.

Why announce that you are going to sign someone weeks before you officially can, unless it's a player no one else wants, like the ones sevco are signing.

We always do it quietly, without the fanfare that comes when they sign their war hardened 300-400k galacticos.

If Kt wanted to come back he’s back to finish his career here can’t see it right now tbh as much as I’d love to sign him. He can play a few positions and is a class act wherever he plays Injury's apart he’d be a phenomenal signing and a real statement of intent by us.
