Rumours has it

Paddy Roberts will be on his way back £7m + £3m add-ons.

Jean-Kevin Duverne to be signed after Linfield games for around £5m.

Also two players to be signed from Chelsea Mario Pasalic and Charly Musonda for a combined fee of £8m.

Must admit if we pull off these signings what an exciting young squad we are going to have.

I would also think some players may be on the move hopefully more deadwoodbit part players.

kinghenrik

{Ed007's Note - Just a wee update on Duverne, Lille have put in a second bid for him after the first was rejected. I don't know the figures involved.}

1.) 09 Jul 2017 22:14:58
As much as id love the above to happen. I can't see it. Its a potential outlay of 30mil including ntcham. Also. Signing a total of 6 midfielders? Hayes benyu ntcham pasalic musonda Robert's. Id gyess rogic and Armstrong both would be sold then.

2.) 09 Jul 2017 22:24:03
I want some of what you are smoking!

I think I would be happy with 1 or 2 of them but ALL of them, no danger. We are already fairly well covered in midfield and we are going to sign another 4?

3.) 09 Jul 2017 22:38:38
We can dream

Dont think we will get Pasalic or Musonda now but Duverne and Roberts plus Ntcham will be a brilliant window for us.

4.) 09 Jul 2017 22:46:10
No chance are we signing ntcham then 2 midfielders from Chelsea! We've enough in midfield as it is! Would love the paddy rumours to be true but! And as I've said before, we definitely need a new centre back. and that was even before boyata got injured!

5.) 09 Jul 2017 22:51:15
Duverne has ruled out moving this window has he not?

6.) 09 Jul 2017 22:54:31
I'd love Roberts but I think durvene is probably a necessity now with boyatta gubbed for a while, I bet Roberts will be a deadline day move.

7.) 10 Jul 2017 06:37:57
Not a chance, id be happy with roberts back permanent.

8.) 10 Jul 2017 09:50:51
King come on this isny fifa 17 there will b a couple of decent signings butnot to that extent.

9.) 10 Jul 2017 11:25:24
I never said we'll sign all of them just rumours going about, I would be happy with Roberts and Duverne.

10.) 10 Jul 2017 14:32:59
That's a fair whack of players. Who goes though?

03 Jul 2017 13:14:44
Ed. Have you heard anything about us after a guy called Gonzalo Escalante of Eibar?

kinghenrik

{Ed007's Note - There's no interest from Celtic in Escalante.}

01 Jul 2017 10:45:26
See we are linked with Joe Gomez from Liverpool again £3.5m.

Also linked with Lazar Markovic (Liverpool) and Gonzalo Escalante (Eibar) .

kinghenrik

21 Jun 2017 02:27:38
Reports in Holland suggesting we are interested in PSV right back Joshua Brenet.

kinghenrik

18 May 2017 08:31:53
I've heard that Brendan has 5 main targets for the summer and prepered to spend round £15m mark.

Joe Gomez - Liverpool (£3.5m)
James McCarthy - Everton (£6.5m)
Henry Onyekuru - Eupen (£4m)
Patrick Roberts - Man City (500k Loan)
Dominic Solanke - Chelsea (500k)

If a deal can't be done for Roberts then there's a winger who plays for Partizan Belgrade who would be our next option.

kinghenrik

1.) 18 May 2017 09:27:05
No chance one or two will come in depending on who goes CB and a number 10 and maybe if we are lucky Wee paddy Roberts.

2.) 18 May 2017 10:32:22
cant see us getting Gomez or McCarthy that cheap tbh, not with the overinflated prices down there, onyekuru will go to mid table EPL team, id be happy wi paddy on a new deal atm, armstrong also, don't think we will be shopping for EPL players, wages would scupper most for a start.

3.) 18 May 2017 10:57:25
If we didn't lose any key players, shipped out those who aren't needed, and brought in those five, I'd be a happy tim.

4.) 18 May 2017 11:33:32
Spot on JimTim, I'm n agreement with u mate n even getting rid of a few n bringing in Roberts solanke n onyekuru etc I'd be happy, it's just the right quality in certain positions. I would be over the moon however if we brought in a top goalkeeper Roberts n even solanke or onyekuru or another forward type, the keeper position is one i think needs addressed asap, specially for champions league.
We have a good squad so far n we will only improve, with a good bit of investment we could see progression in Europe n Being there regularly as well as racking up trophies, glasgows green and white the futures green and white.

5.) 18 May 2017 13:27:42
Bigshaw, I've been banging on about how I think we've regressed from Forster to Gordon since it happened. I've warmed to Gordon a bit more, but has he really been tested? At European level I would like to give him a chance and hope the big mistakes are behind him, but I fear there might just be a blunder there waiting to happen.

6.) 18 May 2017 13:39:22
Actually, what am I saying. I'd like a new keeper.

7.) 18 May 2017 13:50:30
JimTim, in my opinion Gordon has stepped up and made some amazing and crucial saves. He is a quality keeper but we do need something new, I was hoping the Costil rumour would be floating around for a bit longer but I really think Gordon is for Rodgers, can't see anyone new coming in sadly.

8.) 18 May 2017 14:34:59
Would love us to go for someone like Sigurdsson from Swansea but I feel he is out of range now with Swansea staying up.

9.) 18 May 2017 15:52:43
CG has went up in my estimations Ken, the overriding feeling though is it's a position we've went backwards in.

Let's not forget mind, BR did try to replace CG. I think most of us on here said at the time De Vries wasn't the answer. Thankfully BR wasn't stubborn and showed good management by going back on a decision. Sometimes managers show too much loyalty to a signing.

I'd love us to stump up for a younger bit of quality. Timo Horn I've mentioned on here for quite a while. Alban Lafont looks the dog's but he's probably out of our reach. Or Karius at Liverpool. He looked really promising in Germany but has found it hard for games. Worth a cheeky bid.

10.) 18 May 2017 17:25:30
Ed007 said it best he's a great number 1 just not for Celtic. He has made some decent saves n kept us in games here n there but there have been too many karate kick moments, blinder saves etc that i feel while comfortable at spfl level i feel we need a better goalkeeper for Europe. I look at a goalkeeper n dontjudge them solely on the but allow me to throw this out there, when looking at a goalkeeper i think is he going to save a last minute penalty or a big moment penalty when the pressures really on n i just don't see that with Gordon. Boruc n Forrester i always had faith in in that situation.
Don't get me wrong JimTim i agree mate with u and the others he has improved under Brendan but i just feel we need someone of top quality in that position.
We r not far away from a really good side with a couple leaving n the right quality coming in we have a bright future. So so hope we get Paddy signed up permanently or for at least another year with a view to permanent as he is absolute class n will go on to be a top player. He is that lubo, Nakamura, type player n delivers in Scotland as well as Europe.
As always great to be a Tim.
Hail hail.

11.) 18 May 2017 20:16:44
Not really sure about Mccarthy at 6.5 million. Not sure we're he'd fit in.

12.) 19 May 2017 01:16:50
Mat Ryan - Valencia would have to be considered should we need a new keeper. Out on loan and would be a great pick up, fits the bill perfectly for us.

13.) 19 May 2017 10:19:40
Sure I read that Bournemouth were interested in 10million rated joe Gomez.

14.) 26 May 2017 12:40:57
McCarthy would fit in to our team like a glove, be an amazing signing. He would be my number 1 signing, love this guy n he's a tim from glasgow n would run through brick walls for us, and he is pure class. hh.

Really looking forward to see what happens in this transfer window once the management get back from there holidays, liking the look of some of the players we have been linked with so far.

Obviously Patrick Roberts

Martin Caceres
Jean-Kevin Duverne
Fabian Delph
Luca Leiva
Henry Onyekuru
Johnny Hayes
Sadar Azmoun.

kinghenrik

1.) 07 Jun 2017 13:37:11
Caceres - he was a good player. Worth breaking the bank for? Not sure.

Duverne - can't comment as to whether he'd even make the first team but some top sides are watching him. Could we loan him out? And what about Ajer though, got high hopes for him.

Delph - never understood any hype.

Lucas - not for me. It'll have to be a special CM to break Broony and Armstrong up.

Onyekuru - very exciting. Too much of a risk though with his antics at 7m.

Hayes - squad player.

Azmoun - looks a classy forward. Would be disappointed if he was Dembele's replacement though.

Paddy Roberts - Yes, Yes, Yes. He's capable of unlocking defences at any level. He's got the skillset and bravery to take anybody on, he's added to the defensive/ pressing side of things and will only get better. Pay the 8m.

2.) 07 Jun 2017 14:16:51
Average PL players have the potential to be stars in our league, sinclair being the example, i wouldn't mind lucas on a free tbh, sell bitton, tbh its roberts back in some capacity that excites me the most on that list, delph is a merc imo, onyekuru had his chance but looks like a dosh chaser, if we get hayes which im still not convinced of he will be cover for sinclair, dunno much about the CB and ST.

3.) 07 Jun 2017 14:29:21
Do you think we will sign onyekeru. hayes . and Roberts.? . liked the look of the boy cyle larin worth a punt? . if moussa to chelski deal in van ginkel and christianson as part of deal. as you say jimTim Lucas and delph? As we still have to see what kouassi can do (possibly ajer in there also) guy I work with supports killie and says he's class.

4.) 07 Jun 2017 14:42:57
Brendans training ajer as a CB mate, think that's where he played when he was on loan bud.

5.) 07 Jun 2017 15:41:33
Onyekuru never had a chance Wonderbhoy, his club knocked back our offer and now have agreed a £6.8M fee with Arsenal. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a decent amount of game time there tbh.

6.) 07 Jun 2017 16:51:11
Fair doos Kev, didn't know that.

7.) 07 Jun 2017 18:44:51
I imagine most of those listed are not real targets of Brendan Rodgers . Our media never concern themselves with the truth.

8.) 07 Jun 2017 21:36:00
Meant to say Bhoywonder before not wonderbhoy lol.

9.) 08 Jun 2017 08:03:06
@ DRB; I'd have Van Ginkel over both of those players. Christensen is class but we'd do incredibly well to sign him. Tbh, I'm trying not to think about what I'd do with the 'Dembele Dollars'. And as for Kouassi we were told he's a talent so let's just wait until he settles in and gets a run 👍.

10.) 08 Jun 2017 08:12:33
@Wonderbhoy; Would you split Armstrong and Brown up for Lucas? Push Armstrong forward? Or just get him in as competition? He's a good player Lucas, I'm just not sure what he's really good at if that makes sense and it would all depend on the price.

11.) 08 Jun 2017 14:34:12
I don't rate bitton jim, so to get a player like lucas on a free, and a fee for bitton makes sense to me.

12.) 08 Jun 2017 15:56:51
i think the silence is a good thing, it says to me that we are just going about our business quietly behind the scenes.

13.) 08 Jun 2017 16:49:38
If we got Lucas in for the money we'd get from the sale of Bitton and his freed wages, It wouldn't be a step backwards I'll say that much. My guess would be he's on a good 60k a week though. He doesn't improve the first team for me, simply, but in terms of consistency and experience he would raise the squad. I like the idea of the player I think Bitton could be, rather than what he's shown at a consistent level and I think it's time we tried to improve his slot if we're being ruthless. I guess I'm just hoping for somebody else.

26 Jan 2017 21:31:16
So with 5 days of the transfer window left. who would we all like to see come in and leave?

IN -
Henry Onyekuru
Number 10

OUT-
Permanent - Bailly, Ambrose, Bitton, Commons, GMS, Ciftci
LOAN - Henderson

I think with a few youth players added, this would be a very good squad to work with.

GK - Gordon, De Vries, Fasan
RB - Lustig, Gamboa
LB - Tierney, Izaguirre
CB - Sviatchenko, Simunovic, Boyata, Toure
CM - Brown, Armstrong, Eboue, McGregor
AM - Rogic, NEW
RLAM - Sinclair, Forrest, Roberts, Onyekuru
ST - Dembele, Griffiths

Obviously come the summer we will need to bring another few players in to replace Izaguirre, Toure, Roberts (unless they sign new deals, or we some how manage to keep Roberts) and another Striker.

All in All "WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE"

Jerry St Juste will be signing either today or tomorrow.
Third bid for Sinclair been knocked back so our attention will now turn to Bartosz Kapustka.

Will be delighted with these 2 young players.

kinghenrik

1.) 20 Jul 2016 11:37:50
Would love it if true but will have to wait and see.

1.) 03 Jun 2016 10:57:44
A good source?

2.) 03 Jun 2016 11:01:05
U should stick the lottery on tomorrow mate, with your ability to read the future u could be a rich man by tomorrow nite! Lol. i'd love to know where you come up with all that by the way! There's been a few mystic megs on here lately! Lol.

3.) 03 Jun 2016 11:27:48
The player in the Swedish league I'd go for is pawel cibiki can play wide right left and cf. and why no mgregor who was probably our best midfielder last season. I also think there is too much anticipation of the bhoy ajer if he isn't a world beater in his first few appearances the hype could turn on him.

4.) 03 Jun 2016 11:45:22
I think one of the papers has us battling Sevilla for Sam Johnson lol.

5.) 03 Jun 2016 13:17:56
The bulk of this squad have been poor in Europe in the past three seasons and even assuming the new manager can get a wee bit extra out of them, I still think we are three players short of the experience and quality we require.
It's encouraging that we are gradually off-loading fringe, flopand surplus players and I hope we can make a couple of decent signings through the spine of the team when the transfer window is open.

6.) 03 Jun 2016 17:05:54
Izzy is going to MLS.

7.) 03 Jun 2016 19:13:57
Kinghenrik your almost bang on except formation will be 3-4-3.

8.) 04 Jun 2016 09:53:59
Hope so dn30

So this Mystery Striker.
I'm not saying it's going to be him but what about Michu from Swansea

kinghenrik

1.) 12 Aug 2015 09:47:06
Great on his day but he's been injured for the best part of 2 seasons

2.) 12 Aug 2015 09:53:19
Been reading the papers mate? Seriously, it seems there is a bit of traction to this.Having said that I don't believe a word from the press.ED. over to you ,any sniff?

{Ed007's Note - It looks like somone has put 2 and 2 together and came up with this story. Michu's agent held talks with Sevilla over the weekend.}

£30m + McCarthy. Rodgers could do some damage with that sort of money without even dipping into his own budget/ champions league or potential VVD money.

That sort of money could pay for the likes of

Jean-Kevin Duverne
Paddy Roberts
Henry Onyekuru
Sardar Azmoun.

Ideally I would like to see the following come in

Filip Benkovic - Dinamo Zagreb (big, big fee tho)
Leander Dendoncker - Anderlect (big, big fee tho)
Henry Onyekuru - K. A. S. Eupen
Aron Jóhannsson - Werder Bremen
HOPEFULLY KEEP ROBERTS

OUT
Ve Vries, Fasan, Janko, Izaguirre, Ambrose, Bitton, Commons, Allan, GMS, Ciftci

GK - Gordon, Bain, Bailly
