A know we have all heard this but 110% we will sign someone for the deadline tonight we have 2/ 3 bids accepted and deals to be confirmed 1 will be confirmed before deadline I'm hoping its Paddy but not sure if I'm wrong I will come back on and take my medicine but this has came from someone very close to Celtic management.

Sorry guys typed that walking home from chapel didn't realise Sutton had already stated it would be Roberts a was so excited when told a typed in before reading the messages! Here's hoping but the guy that's said it will know and said the paperworks been sorted and there's nothing at all that can hold up paperwork for atleast 1 of the players.

2.) 15 Aug 2017 20:52:09
Hope u r right Campsie bhoy. Even Chris Sutton said he is going to sign tonight.

3.) 15 Aug 2017 20:53:46
Lots of stories flying about. Just need one in before 11. That's all we're asking for today.

Could've been done a little sooner right enough, it's a bit tiring.

4.) 15 Aug 2017 21:00:33
Well campsie u won't have to wait long to take your medicine! lol. hope your rite but mate 😉😉👍🏻👍🏻.

5.) 15 Aug 2017 21:21:31
What is the point in getting anybody in unless it's wee patrick7 no one else will know our system movement or there team mates so unless it is paddy 💚 Bhoy I. Not really bothering cause a total newbie will b a bombscare hh 3-0 tomorrow 💚💚💚.

{Ed007's Note - Even if Roberts - or anyone else - signs tonight don't expect him to be included in the squad for tomorrow mate.}

6.) 15 Aug 2017 21:38:52
Point is whoever will be available for second leg.

7.) 15 Aug 2017 21:57:18
Was thinking that Ed cause after tactics and movement against this lot the only Bhoy in the acendancy will b current squad but like yourself I'm expecting a 2 or 3 nil heavy pounding heart and sweaty to get it but that's what it's all about HH 💚.

8.) 15 Aug 2017 22:21:56
We are going with what we have. Just hope next Tuesday night we don't regret it.

9.) 15 Aug 2017 22:23:58
If It's Roberts he will play I'd wager. He's fit and he improves us.

10.) 15 Aug 2017 21:57:18

11.) 15 Aug 2017 22:33:17
Roberts could walk into the team - anyone else, wouldn't be included.

{Ed007's Note - As far as I know Roberts is still in Spain, you'd expect him to fly in early morning and play tomorrow - no chance.}

12.) 15 Aug 2017 22:34:35
Heard Rivaldo Coetzee has signed.

13.) 15 Aug 2017 23:24:24
I should have known it was a load of Pish when I read 110%. Not being possible to be 110% certain shoukd have tipped me of to the lack of voracity.

what lead you to this untenable level of certainty anyway? It never happened so you can grass up your 110% crap source. :)

14.) 15 Aug 2017 23:28:48
110% campsie bhoy, papers have been sorted! I definitely smell Shoite 💩💩👃🏻👃🏻🙈🙈😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

15.) 15 Aug 2017 23:45:07
I'll back Campsie up here! He's heard off some one worth posting about that we were in the mix for someone, by probably someone employed by Celtic as he stays literally a stones throw away from Lennoxtown! Unfortunately it hasn't come off. So he AND Chris Sutton for that matter aren't bullshitting. It just hasn't come off. So thank you Campsie for putting your rumour up on the Celtic Rumours page! I'm sure your prediction shall materialise in the next day or so but we have missed the deadline (and not for the first time)

16.) 15 Aug 2017 23:49:15
Great to see all the quality signing we were told by all at celtic that we were going to sign and have in for the champions league qualifies! Typical celtic with a number cheap average at best players ( city lad exception ) before anyone says anything. Russian roulette by the board again to all the celtic support. Be it on there head if this goes badly wrong for us. So annoyed with all this!

17.) 16 Aug 2017 00:54:33
I reckon we've been between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Roberts and we have had to wait to this point due to Roberts and not the Board. I'm with Ed on the fact CB wise we are short at the moment exactly the same with ST. But we've been unlucky with injuries! In a perfect world Sviatchenko wouldn't of got injured a most likely been sold then new CB would be sweet. During qualifying is a bitch but signing another CB now would leave us bloated in that position when Sviatchenko and Boyata return which is exactly what BR was brought in to trim (and trim he has) I also think folk forget how hard it was keeping LG and Moussa happy last season so I think think the chat of a 3rd ST is not wise. I mean Cifti is rank and Aitchison is young but who you going to get better for 3rd ST (if top 2 are fit there ain't even a bench position for this 3rd ST)

18.) 16 Aug 2017 04:51:49

1.) 23 Feb 2017 09:38:44
Who really cares who the new mob appoint. We just have to worry about what we do.

2.) 23 Feb 2017 10:09:10
No matter who goes in it won't matter. They need a new team, no manager is going to get them competing with us. The best manager they could get is McInness but he won't go. They need to cut costs not increase them. Warburton and co will get a deal, maybe not £1mill but they will get a deal with an undisclosed sum probably £500k, so where is the money for a decent manager?

They need to go back to basics, young team but to get players they need a scouting system. They have got 1 scout so they are so far behind they may never get close again. The main players are mostly 30 years plus, so they all need replaced so it's more players leaving so goodness knows what team they are going to field next season. Can't wait for the next game at Celtic Park.

3.) 25 Feb 2017 08:37:59
MW Dw FMCP will get everything they are owed not a penny less, the courts will see to that.

31 Aug 2016 19:02:04
A know it counts for nothing but Rodgers has left the training ground and going home for the night we did ask if there was anyone else coming in and he laughed so make of it what you want guys.

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 31 Aug 2016 19:26:18
Don't think they need Rodgers to sign just Lolly aka Chairman, but nothing has appeared on any Newspapers pages or Sky Sports News so looks like an empty Wednesday transfer for us.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 19:29:53
If no matter me else comes in after bankin that money it's a disgrace.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 19:35:05
Can you see if PL's car is still there?

4.) 31 Aug 2016 19:51:27
Banking it now to spend it later may be the way to go.

Summer deadlines are always mental.

And although I'd love to compete with £10-15m signings - that just ain't our club.

Bank £30M now, concentrate on winning league, enjoy champs league nights as much as we can, qualify next year - with a warchest of £50-60m and hopefully a more favourable draw.

Surely we have enough about us now to win the league.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 19:54:12
i think he, s got the team to win the league but he needs more strengthen the team to even get 3rd place in champions league so I hope he don, t let the door close on us as we have waited long enough to get back in .

6.) 31 Aug 2016 20:21:14
just read on celtic news br saying buisness closed.

7.) 31 Aug 2016 22:00:47
Have to laugh at 'warchest' next year comment. We've been here many times in the past, post Wanyama, hooper sale n CL last 16 cash we spent hee haw n the chat then was 'warchests' for next year, we work season to season n have for past 5-6 seasons. Toure will go next year as will Roberts n it's back to square one there, dembele for me is still raw n who knows if he'll come good, bit of a gamble. Sinclair is a class act and the type of business I expected more of. Still looking fwd to the season ahead but a few more of the pedigree of sinclair is what I was hoping for.

8.) 31 Aug 2016 23:23:26
Terrible we didn't even get Henriquez for £1m what a steal that would've been! I'm sure Ciftci will fire us to the treble if Griffiths picks up an injury. I'm probably more disappointed with the dross that is going to be picking up a wage until January when they won't be kicking a ball. Ambrose, Boyata, Bailly, and to a lesser extent Ciftci Armstrong. I'd hope Ajer gets a run in the team and see what he can do.

Great to be in the draw again for tomorrow but on other matters what about La Liga rejecting the payment for Neymar as they' feel it's against F. F. P! Pot kettle black springs to mind!

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 03 Aug 2017 13:03:48
Heard psg can get round it by paying it I instalments. So much every season that will keep them under the limit.

{Ed007's Note -

{Ed002's Note - The transfer fee would not be an FFP issue in any one year for a number of clubs but it would be an issue for any club looking to do any other significant business over forthcoming years. As an example, in the past Messi has turned down a transfer to one side who had agreed to meet Barcelona's then €250M price tag, and Barcelona and a commercial partner resisted an approach by a commercial organisation on behalf of an English side with an offer to buy, or at least part fund, the purchase of the player. I am aware that in Spain there has been speculation about an offer being made during the summer 2014 transfer window, but it is "largely" incorrect. This all started in 2012 when in mid December Anzhi made an offer to Barcelona that matched the €250M euro release clause that existed in his contract, and put up what I am told was a "very" significant personal package. However, Messi was not interested in a move to Russia and Barcelona did not want and had no obligation to sell - so Messi, in early February 2013, extended his contract with Barcelona. In the early summer of 2013 efforts were being made by Adidas to broker a deal that would get Messi away from Nike and to one of their three high-profile clubs that they were invovled with at the time. Very quickly Real Madrid were ruled out and with Pep Guardiola moving to Bayern Munich that pretty much saw the end of any chance of a move there (given the strained relationship) at the time. This left Chelsea, and I can confirm that discussions were held about making a firm bid - at this point we are in late 2013 and early 2014 and Messi was in a verbal spat with Barcelona about getting a further extension - which the club were against. Ultimately, the player was (at least in his eyes) available during the Spring of 2014 and at that point Chelsea and Adidas made his management representatives and Barcelona aware of what they would be willing to do to make a transfer happen. Since then he has again extended his contract with Barcelona and Chelsea and Adidas have parted company. A number of questions were asked of representatives of UEFA in December 2014 regarding the transfer of the financially very high-end players (Messi, Neymar etc.) and the impact on FFP. It is clear that exceptions would need to be put in place as the alternative could be lawsuits from players regarding restrictions on trade.

In the case of Neymar PSG still need to stay with FFP but there will be a little flexibility. The fee itself is less of an issue than the wages and other costs are. PSG has spent very little this summer and know that they can raise additional funds through various sponsorship deals, some image rights and of course through player sales to balance the books. PSG are actively trying to move on a number of players whilst they also remain interested in Sanchez. Those players include some who have very high wages and a decent value - so that will take a serious bite out of the costs. From a marketing perspective Neymar can bring in a great deal via endorsements and we may eventually see as part of the deal some of that transferred to PSG. They also have a relatively low income kit deal - expect a significant jump in that.

Regardless of all of this, by the end of June 2018 they need to be back on track FFP wise. UEFA already monitor all clubs previously banned or subject to prior sanctions. It is a long list and PSG are on it, so UEFA will be monitoring the situation.}

2.) 03 Aug 2017 13:10:32
They were talking about him paying it himself to get round FFP and then him making the money back through some kind of Qatar backed "sponsorship".

3.) 03 Aug 2017 14:42:35
Think it's a bit rich Ed considering the doping that Barcelona have done and the amount of dept Spanish teams have.

{Ed007's Note - It's going to get very messy, no pun intended lol. It's not my money and obviously somebody somewhere can afford to finance the deal there's just something about the figures mentioned that morally doesn't sit right with me.}

4.) 03 Aug 2017 15:21:09
Ed, If it had been your money mate the deal would have got done yesterday

They big notes in your wallet are beginning to weigh you down :-P.

{Ed007's Note - Aye right you!}

5.) 03 Aug 2017 15:38:16
I agree mate and that was the same as the people I watched the game with last night. PSG will make a lot of that money back through shirt sales sponsorships and image rights but it's frightening and I hope the bum falls out it all.

{Ed007's Note - I couldn't agree more mate, I'd love to see one of those type of clubs to go bust.}

6.) 03 Aug 2017 16:52:25
But the whole thing is mad! Jurgen Klopp on bumping his gums about the Neymar deal saying only two clubs could afford Neymar and what about FFP etc. and yet isVVD now worth £60 mill nearly two year after Celtic and he is top drawer

A said before on here this Siggurdsson @ Swansea £45 million not being enough he is MINCE!

£30 MILL for a 18yr old keeper

Where does it stop? Somebody needs to get some sort of transfer scale sorted, crikey what could you do in the world with these amounts of money?

{Ed007's Note - Would you be 'moaning' if someone had paid Celtic £60 million for VVD though? That's where my thoughts are split mate, I know in my heart it's morally wrong when you see what's going on on our own doorsteps with foodbanks etc but would I throw my morals out the window if say Man City bid £100 million for Tierney & Dembele?
What I'm saying is and I'm including myself in this apart from the EPL part lol, are we genuinely complaining about it or, like the EPL, is just jealousy that we're not getting that kind of money?}

7.) 03 Aug 2017 17:20:15
I hear you Ed, Is it jealousy thing? I don't think it is for me anyway VVD was worth more than what Southampton paid for him big time!

My thoughts were charities mate Cancer get about £35 mill a year somebody was saying RSPCA and cat and dogs get about £28 mill and a neuro one close to my heart only gets £5! I know you have a couple of charities close to you but Ed the money getting banded about in Transfer fees is shocking mate

OK Let's say Neymar is a star well index link to X amount of new hospitals or schools or charities and suddenly he ain't that big a star in my eyes

Am looking for the beaks to get a grip here

Some sort of Barometer MUST be implemented Klopp spouting FFP that is a laugh because there is fawk aw fair about that IMO (Y)

{Ed007's Note - Spot on, I totally agree with all of that. What about the fans that were raging we aren't part of any break away Euro league! Do we really want to be associated with this kind of stuff? Sometimes it's better just being a huge fish in a wee pond.}

8.) 03 Aug 2017 17:27:47
So on a much smaller scale ed, if a team has needed a number of soft loans to just keep the lights on then go on a spending spree and spend 7-8 million on new players and wages , why are uefa not interested ?

{Ed007's Note - It's the Mason's mate - it's ALWAYS the Masons.}

9.) 03 Aug 2017 18:22:14
No a don't want affiliated to all of that Ed.

But I was listening to the radio the other night and it was talking about Forest Green offering better wages £than Partick Thistle bit of a shock to be honest

We are spending what £6 mill in fees per season? (maybe more this season) looking at all these prospects rough diamonds etc with sale on value our income is not going to increase unless PPV is introduced somewhere

In five years time domestic wise could be shocking or most teams made up of three or four ex Celtic youths ( not far away from that now)

If you were a Fulham fan you would be mad seeing whatever money MD goes for eventually but someone within the powers of the game must do something this Neymar might be the camel that breaks the straws back mate because there is real repulsion at it we kind of knew that the £100 mill player was coming but this is just nuts! (Y)

10.) 03 Aug 2017 19:12:23
No instalments the fee was paid in full as Barcelona demanded that and were not willing to negotiate with psg
Psg offered a list of players to Barcelona but they declined and went down this route to hopefully deter psg
The big thing I get though is how they get a loyalty bonus off Barcelona as he was still there 1/ 8
When you think that Barcelona stood up in court over tax evasion and for them to decided in early summer to move and agree a deal but wait til after this bonus
In regards to Qatar state did they not have a fall out with Barcelona over shirt sponsorship now they have bankrolled another toy to buy their 2nd best player seems like there could be a hidden agenda there.

Kev Sevilla have won the Europa league a few times in the last 10 years without spending millions upon millions spending fortunes doesn't always guarantee success if we could keep the main players in our team and add 3/ 4 quality players we should be aiming for the last 16 of the Champs League.

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 04 Jun 2017 16:11:26
Last 16 isn't challenging.

2.) 04 Jun 2017 16:33:57
Well dropping into the Europa league from the champs league is still a step down so what's more challenging?

3.) 04 Jun 2017 17:14:55
To challenge for something is to try and win it.

4.) 04 Jun 2017 17:37:34
A decent European challenge?! I'm hoping we are too good to be involved in the Europa League mate last 16 should be our aim.

5.) 04 Jun 2017 19:41:52
Don't give a toss about the champions league the super rich clubs have made it all but impossible to win for any club not turning over at least 500 million pounds annually and continue to strive to make it even harder on a yearly basis, don't kid yourself they don't even want to play against us, we don't create enough tv income. I want to win 10 in a row and as many cups as we can, would rather drop into the Europa league where a lot of the teams have the same problems we have .

6.) 04 Jun 2017 19:56:32
10 in a row im with u reign supreme domestically and ill be a happy bhoy.

7.) 04 Jun 2017 21:43:06
I love celtic in the champions league but I also know that we will always be also rans.
The last 16 this year had
4 teams from Spain
3 teams from Germany
3 teams from England
2 teams from Italy
2 teams from France
2 teams from Portugal
All league that have a spending power way beyond ours.
Teams like ours and say ajax with never be regulars in the 16 ever.
We might do it now and again ye.
We just can't compete with that sort of spending power.

8.) 05 Jun 2017 00:05:50
Sevilla have an aweful going for them, that Celtic haven't .
Work permits for footballers from very poor South American Countries are a lot easier obtained than in Uk .
Climate in Seville is a lot more hospitable than wet dreary Scotland . Not only for players but wives and girlfriends who like to expose as much of their assets that are legal and Spain have climate to suit .

We should always target the last 16 and beyond but we have to be realistic enough to realise it is very difficult to attain and won't be an annual achievement.

9.) 04 Jun 2017 23:35:22
Maybe when Jeremy becomes prime minister he can put a 95% tax on earnings over £20,000 a week, and that would even things up a bit football wise, and pay for more nurses, teachers and policemen.

Great stuff Could you ever see RD returning Ed? Was told by someone in the know that Rodgers really rates him and thought a lot of the work he done set good foundations for him and that the sports science stuff was first class.

Campsie Bhoy

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers has been full of praise for the foundations RD put down behind the scenes and he was surprised the sports science department was as advanced as it was. Even though I'd love us to hire him in some capacity I just can't see it. It would need to be replacing someone like McCart as Head of Youth Development and I can't see him going anywhere soon.}

Aye his work rates still first class he's just not as direct as last season Bitton is a worry for me playing at CH he looses sight of his man to easy and a decent striker will punish that. Think if we signed PR for the game on wed it would certainly lift the team/ club.
