With Celtic enquiring about Bojan in the summer and now he is looking first team football, will we be back in?

Personally think he will be a brilliant player in Rodgers formation

gaelicbhoy

1.) 07 Jan 2017 11:58:54
Really? I'd be over the moon if we got him in. The excitement grows!

2.) 07 Jan 2017 12:46:23
Love to get him in the hoops, could be a bit of a lubo type player for us

3.) 07 Jan 2017 14:55:21
He's on £40k a week at Stoke. Not sure if we would pay that would we? As far as I'm aware only Henrik and possibly Roy Keane were ever paid that much here.

4.) 07 Jan 2017 15:11:54
keane said in his book he was only on 15k a week at celtic.

5.) 07 Jan 2017 16:25:24
If we are going to be a bigger club we need to pay the market rate for bigger players

No?

6.) 07 Jan 2017 16:50:07
Is that right Jamesbhoy? That's quite surprising.

7.) 07 Jan 2017 19:53:17
I'm sure we could go to 40, between commons cifti boyata and Bailey there must be about 50 combined. Chop the dead wood and bring in a star or 2

8.) 08 Jan 2017 14:51:17
We could afford it, but the player would need to be something special. I mean really special. Not a gamble, a stick on success like pulling out all the stops to keep Henrik on that kind of money. Not willing to fling 40k wages around for the likes of Bojan, just my opinion tho.

Ronny, JC and Roy Keane pictured at the Everton vs City match last night.

Read into that what you want.

gaelicbhoy

1.) 07 Jan 2016 11:20:15
Where they sitting together? I would have though Keane was watching the Republic players, or just taking in the game! Gibson, McCarthey and Coleman are there along with McGeady, he might have even been having a chat/ getting an update! Bottom line, we won't be signing Lukaku!

2.) 07 Jan 2016 11:33:07
Just seen the picture GB, certainly looks cosy!

3.) 07 Jan 2016 11:59:09
I'd say we had an eye on perhaps McGeady or hoping to watch a fringe player from City perhaps? And Keane just watching the Eire players. Will guests of such a nature not just get plonked on the same rows anyway?

4.) 07 Jan 2016 15:20:00
I read Keanes autobiography recently and in the last chapter he talks about the Celtic job offer.

I get the feeling Ronny was always meant to be his assistant and that if the job offer came now after doing some learning under O'Neill he would step up to the team.

I realise there will be a lot of Roy Keane haters but he seems a different character now after his time with Ireland.

5.) 08 Jan 2016 00:13:29
The truth and the book are not necessary related.

6.) 08 Jan 2016 03:48:22
Ask Mrs E. She will know.

01 Sep 2015 15:32:23
Eoghan O'Connell gone.

I thought in my opinion this boy was ready for first team. Should have been given his chance.

1.) 01 Sep 2015 16:03:06
Islam Feruz loaned to Hibs from Chelsea, karma takes time but it eventually catches up with overhyped, ungrateful plebs

2.) 01 Sep 2015 16:45:03
Permanently or on loan?

3.) 01 Sep 2015 18:29:59
O connelz only gone on loan till january and we've just signed 1 new cb and expecting another so don't kno where u see him fitting in tbh

03 Jul 2015 16:19:50
Paul McMullan away out on loan to St Mirren, can't help but feel we have told St Mirren if you let us use your pitch we will give you a few promising youths for free for a year.

gaelicbhoy

1.) 03 Jul 2015 18:12:50

A website have run a story that Damien Duff is on NL radar. Any truth in this ed?

gaelicbhoy

{Ed007's Note - No. Duff has already said he is moving back to Ireland in the summer when his Fulham contract expires so that his kids are closer to their extended families. He's was injured last month and will miss the rest of the season but says he will look for a League of Ireland side to sign for next season. You do know he is 35 don't you?}

Any idea what dates Celtic are in Dubai in Jan?

gaelicbhoy

25 Aug 2016 12:16:59
Madrid
Dortmund
Spurs
Celtic

That is the dream draw.

We are here for a good time not a long time.

We won't finish this group pointless!

gaelicbhoy

1.) 25 Aug 2016 12:40:29
Disagree. We won't finish 1st or 2nd but the bogey prize Europa league is always my aim if we qualify for the group stages.

2.) 25 Aug 2016 12:58:13
I am happy with whatever the draw gives us but those 3 clubs would be great.
On another note heard a wee whisper that a 3 game package for season ticket holders will be around £160 and £180 for non season ticket holders.
Going on the lower amount and a sold out Celtic Park that would generate the club £9.6m minimum just on ticket sales alone, add in sponsorhsip well the sky's the limit.

3.) 25 Aug 2016 13:25:38
Lol. Pennies in the grand scheme of things. Was reading that last year R. Madrid got 81m for winning CL and that bottom place in the EPL this year will get 94m. Says it all really.

4.) 25 Aug 2016 13:51:09
It's normally about 90 quid for 3 match package. 160 would be too far.

5.) 25 Aug 2016 13:58:14
£53 per ticket? That's not a very good deal for the fans. I'd be hoping for £90/ 95 for a 3 game package.

6.) 25 Aug 2016 14:30:41
No chance of that Ged, I think a fair price would be £120, that's £40 per game. The club makes some money and we see 3 great Champions League games. Hail Hail.

7.) 26 Aug 2016 10:00:23
There's a good chance we would finish pointless gaelicbhoy.
I could think of better combinations that would still be exciting: Real, Napoli, Brugge and Celtic.
Here is my thinking, Real for the glamour, Napoli and Brugge because we would have a chance against them. HH.

Enough is enough.

Efe needs to be paid off. Costs us every time.

As for Bitton he needs to go, slows everything down we need speed and pace in there.

Think Brendan will learn more from this defeat than if we win, he will clear the dead wood.

gaelicbhoy

1.) 12 Jul 2016 21:36:08
If your gona go on about bitton why not brown? 2 of them useless. Brown needs dropped.

2.) 12 Jul 2016 21:59:08
Brown was one of the few that I would give pass marks from a playing sense, but wasn't able to inspire as captain.

3.) 12 Jul 2016 22:48:02
On what basis?

08 Jun 2016 20:40:11
Had a quick count of how many season tickets are available online.

321 is the total.

So if we are allowed to sell 52k

then by my calculations we have sold over 51 1/ 2k season tickets.

gaelicbhoy

06 Jun 2016 08:06:38
Good to see pictures of people queueing for season tickets this morning 2 hours before general sale.

I can't remember the last time we had a queue for general sale.

50k+ this year hopefully!

gaelicbhoy

1.) 06 Jun 2016 08:56:25
Last I heard and this was last wed/ Thursday was 46000 was sold so should be a sell out for the season.

2.) 06 Jun 2016 11:05:36
BR has been saying about getting stadium full on matchdays, good to see the feel good factor is back,

Ed,

I actually believe it :)

Spartak's general director, Roman Askhabadze, admitted the club are willing to let McGeady, whose contract expires at the end of the season, leave for the right price in January.

"The club is willing to discuss a new contract for Aiden at any time," he told a Scottish national newspaper

Doesnt seem like something you would say about someone you want to get rid off.

gaelicbhoy

{Ed007's Note - Well it's a different story than the one I heard coming out his own mouth at a family wedding but hey ho.
Do you really think we should be signing players because they know the expectations and supports the club? That seems more like an Ibrox strategy to me.
If RD has any say in this McGeady won't be a CFC player.}

Cant see past Ronaldo for top scorer 13/ 2

Could score a bucketload in group stages against Iceland and Hungary

France as the home nation will be hard to beat but at 3/ 1 is not good value.

Double up Ronaldo with France for 35/ 1.
