In the words of The who Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

whats difference were you looking for in the line up kev.

Lets see what they produce before slating them lads.

27 Feb 2021 14:28:45
Well I think we can all see that there won't be any different from what we have watched over the last 5 months.

27 Feb 2021 14:30:02
Soro for start. Maybe give wee Henderson a run out on the right instead of christie.
Though I am glad to see rogic bombed out altogether.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 14:34:01
I would have LG where Klimala is, and Soro where Brown is, but Kennedy doesn't want to pick a team that shows how Lenny was picking the wrong team all season.

Underwhelming.

27 Feb 2021 14:36:37
UI was my thinking aswell, got the 2 strikers up top everyone has been wanting, no Rogic who we know kev doesn't rate (not the only one mate) apart from changing the goalkeeper and dropping Broony there isn't much else that can be done, unless fans are now wanting JK to gamble and play different players just for the sake of it and risk dropping more points and potentially get dragged into a battle for 2nd. I'm happy with that line up, no Rogic that will do for me, one less snail pace player on the field of play.

Klinala is a strange one . abybody know what Montgomery is like.

27 Feb 2021 14:47:50
Bet Aberdeen are sxxting themselves!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 14:49:39
Kev, there is no guarantee he was dropped, wouldn’t surprise me if he’s picked up a knock . Not too many changes to the squad or team.

27 Feb 2021 14:51:10
Wee Hendo came on and was great in that position during the season, what are we going to learn continually playing the exact same players that have been poor all season? Especially ones we know are jumping ship in the summer!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 14:58:53
Glad Klimala has a start. Eddy and Ajeti both drop deep and Klimala has pace to burn. Playing with Eddy will help his development too.

Is anyone else's Celtic TV playing up?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 15:04:35
Just watched the first few minutes of the match and I have seen enough. As expected Kennedy style is a carbon copy of the style Rodgers was using before he abandoned Celtic. Utter garbage, side to side and back with no penetration.

Time for new manager, this week or heaven help us.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 16:21:55
BR style worked mate look the success it brought us and look how well he is doing with Leicester he left in a poor way but can't deny the success got us into champions league back to back seasons but don't like how he gave us some very embarrassing results in it for refusing to change but overall he was very successful.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 16:53:29
Yep rebel treble really was terrible wasnt it?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 16:54:14
It worked at the start but teams worked out how to counter it.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 17:09:47
I honestly think some fans don't actually watch the games and they certainly don't go to any. Ask a fan who goes to the games, what it was like watching Rodgers teams after the first 1 and a bit seasons and they will tell you it was a hard watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 17:38:21
what cause don't agree with you we don't watch games or go to them hahaha it was a hard watch but you celebrated the rewards at the end when trophy's were being lifted.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 20:12:34
I know some may say he needs a run but klimala looks nothing like a 3 million pound player . They kept on today that he works, I know a few of our players didn’t seem bothered this season but the least we should expect from one of our players is that he runs around a bit. He doesn’t look a great finisher, his touch isn’t great, not great at holding up the play etc, like bayo it looks like we are going to take a heavy hit on sales if we can find anyone to take them.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 20:44:50
Of the two of them, I think Bayo looks the more natural striker.

I mentioned a while back about our next DOF being Fergal Harkin, I have since been informed we have held talks with 4 different candidates who have also let the club know there preferred head coach as part of this new setup.

TBH i was quite shocked with number one, but i would be happy with any of the choices.

1. Ralf Rangnick - Free
(Jesse Marsch - Salzburg)

2. Fergal Harkin - Man City
(Enzo Maresca - Man City u23's)

3. Matteo Tognozzi - Juve
(Jindřich Tripišovský - Slavia Prague)

4. David Webb - Free
(Eddie Howe - Previously Bouremonth)

That sounds great Number 1 for me then Number 3 if not but that would be great but I think a lot of money would have to go with those pairings.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 11:10:54
Just to add Tripišovský was brought to Tognozzi's attention by no other than Pavel Nedved.

Nedved rates his fellow country man very very highly and see's him doing big things in the game.

Just incase anyone is wondering why this would be his choice.

27 Feb 2021 11:25:53
As much as I would love this all to be true, it is not backed up by evidence, other than you claiming to be in the know, which I strongly doubt.

Whatever discussions are happening behind the scenes will remain secret. We won't know until someone slips up or we make an announcement.

I just hope LaW the appointments will be made sooner rather than later.

27 Feb 2021 11:45:43
Yeah heard this type of chat the last time and we ended up with Lennon. I hope it's true but will believe it when I see it.

27 Feb 2021 11:49:49
Agree with LAW here. But 1 would be the move every fan would want given the choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 12:41:17
Kinghenrik, can you give us an insight into how reliable your information source is?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 12:50:20
IF kinghenriks info is accuarate which is highly unlikely but I'll play along anyway;-

* Man Itd are said to be interested in Tognozzi therefore, that's a non starter
* Ralf may be out of our reach and our imagination but he'd be my No.1 choice by a country mile
* David Webb would be No.2 along with Howe
* Fergal - No.3 (last) unsure of him and not keen on an U23 coach

I'm not convinced we should go for an untried Manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 13:12:31
@Tony, I think we all want the decision to be made ASAP, so fingers crossed we hear something soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 13:52:13
So we will end up with Jock Brown and Jack Ross then.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 14:41:37
Pedro I'm the same, i feel a proven manager needs to be brought in, all this Lampard talk is nonsense. yeah it worked for sevco but they had time on their side to build and that gave slippy a couples of years to play with, Lampard or any other unproven manager won't be given that amount of time, no manager will, so needs to be someone that can hit the ground running and get the team firing as early as possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 14:52:36
You forgot strachan, with Kennedy as the coach .
Wouldn’t be surprised to see the cheaper option out of the other four, although I’d prefer any of them to the cheap option .

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2021 19:44:18
I can’t see it being that easy but I think all off them look good but most off the chat is they want a experience coach and team, in my eyes that’s number 2 out, a undertaker 21s coach and a loan manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:07:54
@Pedro, my source just passes on information with the view of not 100%, some which spot on but also some of which doesn’t happen one way or another.

I see that some people are not to keen on Harkin and Maresca.

This guy has been at Man City for over 10 years and a DoF role would be the next step in his career so I wouldn't just write him off because it's not what he has done before.

As for Maresca basically the same as Harkin, he's been assistant manager to Pelligerini for years, then moved to the Man City (EDS) as head coach.
In the grand scheme of things that is still a big job and his playing style has seen them hammer some English LG1 and LG2 teams.
A first team head coach job would be his next move.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 17:29:58
Accepted, fair points kinghenrik.
Like the rest of the lads on here, we can only hope and pray DD takes on the job of appointing a D. O. F. and then a manager as he hasn't failed us yet and oh, I want the title back!

We are now going from waiting an age for our board to make the right decision. Now we are waiting for them to make any decision in time. I think waiting until the summer, with the overhaul we need, will be too late for the CL, no change there. The opportunity to compete in the CL is a major plus, not to give us a hope as has been our way for years, won't wash with a good manager and it shouldn't. 75% failure rate is horrendously inept management. Time for a change.
