If you watch it back, moussa played a few good passes after holding up to lead to goals.

One of our best victories for some time today . Ok let us get the bad bits out of the way first . Toure blundered for first goal& nobody in any sort of position to help him . The M'well player may have been off side but I don't think there was enough in it for assistant to be sure . Gordon standing doing nothing 6/ 8 yds from goal, if he had been on goal line or had dashed towards him the M'well player would had to do more .
2nd goal was a free kick and a booking all the way . The M'well player didn't get near the ball and he kicked Lustig's boot which diverted the ball. Tore was standing day dreaming in no man's land and should have been aware of their player behind him
3rd goal Jozo should have been aware of the player behind him and should have marked him .
Our team nevertheless played brilliantly, first McCallom 's brilliantly taken goal was a real gem, he showed so called better players how calmness and accuracy works .
Armstrong was absolutely brilliant today, when Celtic were going through the motions in the first half Armstrong was throwing himself into numerous tackles and winning the ball all over the park . 2nd half scored great goal and se- up 2-3 more . Rogic proved when he is needed for 90 mins he can play the 90.scoring in the 90th min
What I liked best was that our lest illustrious players this season were our best players in the second half . Roberts also stepped up to the mark . No matter who comes in January I don't see the likes of Armstrong not playing a role.

I doubt unless I beat the medical records and live about 15 more years that crowd from Govan won't trouble us for any league .
If they do the decent thing in this incarnation, pay their debts, stop cheating with referees and don't cheat the tax man, then they won't be able to bridge the 124 year age gap.

Armstrong is looking a very good player, he seems to be everywhere in the games lately and pop's up with a goal or 2.

Jurdie67: I have been saying since we got Armstrong that he was getting played out of position and when he was played where he is now, then we would get the player he really is . A very intelligent player indeed.

Anyone else notice that the boy that scored the 3rd for motherwell didn't get booked for going into fans and rogic did?
He was then booked a few minutes later.

Add to that the almost identical tackle against Lustig that Izzy was yellow carded for. This leading to their second goal. Kevin Clancy is a very, very poor official.

I know Big Rab and Kev 83 post in good faith but I find nothing strange in the way Kevin Clancey handled either situation. Contrary decisions against Celtic didn't start in December 2016, probably closer to December 1916 . So far Brendan Rodgers has been too much of a gentleman to let his feelings be known publicly, but I suggest he will have to before we are robbed of victory . That crooked referee Thompson who show amazing leniency towards Miller on Wednresday disallowed a perfectly good goal in the league cup semi final and because he couldn't disallow our winner there was no talk of his cheating.

What a game, what a manager, Rogic coming up with the winner playing the full 90 mins. Roberts looked better than of late only Toure looked out of sorts but he will be leaving. cannot complain about the first goal absolute cracker maybe offside and Toure and Isagurre could have done better. Second a clear foul on Lustig but again Toure got caught out. Third Armstrong could have done better and where was MacGregor.

Fantastic victory for the hoops, that 2nd half we were outstanding n just went out to win the game. 1st half two soft goals, toure and Gordon at fault for the 1st n toure got caught again for the 2nd.
Other than that we dominated n Roberts n rogic were the driving force, both were excellent and hey old Bhoy wee James continued the good form from last week, could have got a goal if his shot had been better but he was more direct n ran with the ball. Roberts took the header well n the ball for Armstrong was just quality from him. I felt as a whole the team played well as a team n we had some outstanding individual displays, Roberts n rogic and big shout out to big Simo I thought he had a blinder n when fit both him n big Erik must start. I also like Broony n Armstrong in there together n both played well as did McGregor when he came on n a lovely goal.
We've won the league again, fly the flag.
Quality game today n well done Brendan on changing things n getting the result, big result n performance today n I just can't get enough.
Here we go ten in a row.
Hail hail.

There was a definite Cup Final hangover in the first half and they caught us cold with a great early goal, but the positives from that second half far outweigh the negatives.
It's been a long time since I saw a Celtic team coming back TWICE in a second half - needing four goals to win and although there were a few outstanding performers on the pitch - the manager once again tweaks and pulls the strings and changes the whole game.
This fantastic result not only emphasises our intent and sets us up for a great weekend - but it's a pure sickener for the rest and will do a lot of psychological damage to rivals and media detractors.

Motherwell have put in thier game of the season coupled with some of thier best goals of the season. We didn't show up till the second half with 3 form starters out and last year's top scorer ill and we still done it. Big statement today lads.

11 in 67, your spot on bud, we were OK in the 1sthalf in terms of being comfortable n while Motherwell got in about us apart from two mistakes for the goals I wasn't overly worried if u no what I mean? We definitely could play better n go more on the front foot in we did in that 2nd half. That was a Celtic performance the Celtic way, attacking, good play, keeping them hemmed in n playing for the jersey and everybody did that.
We created good angles n passing in the final 3rd n cut them open at the right times. Roberts I have been shouting about for a while, thought he was excellent, the ball through for Armstrong was exquisite, took his header really well n folk on here were giving it he can't go outside, well he did so a number of times today but he also found success when he came inside. Forrest showed good energy n looked more of a threat on the ball, while I have my own thoughts I hope he does kick on n has a storming season, good game again today. Again old Bhoy I've given James more credit as I back every Celtic player n manager.
Said it earlier but big Simo has been a rock for us, specially alongside big Erik, played well again today n at points was a left winger haha which makes me wonder why the hell did we try n sell him to Torino the little I had saw of him under Rd, n Rd rated him n always played him when fit, I knew he was a player n I'm really glad he's fit n getting to show that. Rogic outstanding again n lasted more than 90 minutes, so much for not being able to do a full 90.
Hail hail.

Lustig rolling about holding his ankle and pretending he's hurt then getting straight back up when he never got the free kick really annoyed me at their second goal. Get up and get on with it and moan at the referee once you've cleared the danger! A proper bugbear of mine.

Fatman Gordon was in no man's land again n got lobbed for that error. Toure was mainly at fault, wasn't tight enough n let the flight of the ball n when he is running back should then get across the striker n get goalkeeper to force him wide. Gordon however if he is coming out then he should have been right out n at the striker, whereas for me he should have went back to his line, hat way he can't be lobbed, toure has time to then try n get across the striker to try and put the boy off his shot n Gordon then is in a better position to save at either side of the goal as the boy would be shooting from wide with a smaller target to aim for. So yes you're n Gordon both at fault as both should have made it harder for the striker to score.
2nd goal felt it was a foul on lustig n toure again gets caught under the ball.
But other than that the positives outweigh the negatives n I was delighted with that victory n the 2nd half performance especially.
Hail hail.

{Ed007's Note - It was a great performance today, well the 2nd half but for the first time since MON's days I was confident that we could win it.}

03 Dec 2016 19:16:12
Ed it reminded me of under Mon too, also of celtic of my youth in the era of Aitken, mcstay, mcavennie, miller, i was 8 in our centenary year n my dad always had tapes of celtic n vinyl (wolfetones, n a Celtic LP holy ground I'm sure it was called n i still have both) , the celtic story was a personal favourite of mine, which I still have on video n the centenary side under big billy were a personal favourite of mine in terms of teams we have had at any one time in history. that Joe miller goal in the cup final still puts me back to being a wee kid celebrating with just sheer joy, same as mcavennie against Dundee united, we were never beaten. That was the same type of performance we got today n it was another special day.
Hail hail.

Some good tunes on it although my fave was always the wolfetones, so many beautiful songs as well as quality tunes. Streets of new York I just adored, was over in salou a few years ago in Danny bhoys n a boy was playing it acoustic in there, loved it. They also had an Elvis impersonator who rode in on a motorbike which was hilarious just as well stokesy wasn't there haha

Kevbhoy Instead of sneering at Lustig, Celtic fans prefer to look at the facts . Lustig was kicked on the boot, and his boot clearly deflected the ball . A free kick and yellow card every day of the week . I even think Craig Thompson would have gave it 😄😀.

To be honest 2 players that I would have shifted also playing well, Forrest and Armstrong.
Strengthen all round without really making wholesale changes. Rodgers will keep tweaking. Things can only get better.

Transfer window coming up . We should be looking to leave the window stronger than when we went into it and that should be every window. If Celtic really want to progress in Europe we need a quality player arrive each window. We already have the foundations in place with the management team the stadium the club structure, the best support in the world.

The squad we have can be the building blocks but we need to keep moving forward and that means adding quality player each window, and 10 in a row will follow as well as being a team to hold there own in Europe.

We are coming to that time again of who to buy. Do we need anyone we are going to win the league at a canter, and cover is pretty good all over the park. The question is what do we need to compete next year in the CL and can we wait until the summer. I would like to use the rest of the year to blood the development squad, Ralston, MaCart, Kellacher, Thomson, Lindsey, Miller, Aicthson and others find out if they are going to make the grade or not.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

03 Dec 2016 08:27:45
I'd argue that the way we're playing we shouldn't need anybody this window to get through the qualifiers next summer but it's always good to get players in ASAP to get them bedded in.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Dec 2016 08:42:56
Ideally January but the quality we should be after is probably going to be more available in the summer.

A GK, a proper ball winning CDM, a ST/ WF and maybe a CAM.

I'd be happy if we just signed one of those in January and offloaded a few.

A midfielder big time as there is no replacement for Broon if he gets injured-but why a GK guys? I think CG has been outstanding apart from booting the odd player in the heid.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Dec 2016 10:45:25
Between now and the Summer I'd say we need a partner for Brown, a replacement for Roberts (if anything to keep Forrest on his toes) and a new keeper. Gordon has done well but still can't trust him completely. If Kolo leaves in the summer then I'd like another centre half too to rotate with Erik and Jozo.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2016 10:21:05
I would rather see youth given a chance over new signings would love to see ralston aitchinson Henderson nesbitt and fasan giving a run in the team same as Christie and GMS and hopefully offload ambrose Bailey de vries Boyata Allan commons cifti.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Dec 2016 12:21:18
The January window is only good for emergency cover and panic buys, as the best and sought after players are never available.
We have more than enough for the domestic campaign - now that Europe has gone and we could even offload a few that are not in the managers plans to raise cash to offer improved contracts to top performers.
Roll-on the summer to attract better quality in key position, with the funds at our disposal.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2016 00:48:29
Unfortunately we cannot get rid of the players that are on contract . We cannot take them into the highlands and shoot them
First we have to get another club interested in signing them. Then agree a fee if appropriate . Then player has to agree to sign for that club.

Its not simple or every club would have no players they don't want . Most top senior clubs have numerous players they cannot shift as if they are not wanted by their own club, they are almost certainly receiving more money than other clubs will want to play.
