Moose on talksh1t saying his info is that Chelsea are unlikely to do any deals today, is that just smoke and mirrors but Moussa is in London, must be for a knee scan . I hope

08 Sep 2016 13:33:29
Hi Ed : hope you are well . Don't know if you have heard, but apparently the team have trained at CP this week and not at lennoxtown . Also that playing staff only in the grounds all other staff not allowed to see training? HH.

1.) 08 Sep 2016 17:33:33
They were on the sports news training at Lennoxtown yesterday.

2.) 08 Sep 2016 18:18:39
I saw that too. But, That was cardboard cut outs on wheels.

Classic diversionary ploy.

3.) 08 Sep 2016 18:42:20
Haha belter Magicpole. They were training today at Lennoxtown too again it was on the sports news too, Rodgers had his press conference there today also.

4.) 09 Sep 2016 01:35:04
Magic pole, macaulay culkin must have borrowed GMS strip and set it up on the fly.

28 Jun 2016 17:41:56
Well done everyone at Celtic what a great deal. 4 year deal for Dembele .

Hail Hail.

1.) 28 Jun 2016 17:45:11
Let's hope there's more like this to come and we can get back in Europe and hammer these tossers rangers in the league.

{Ed007's Note - Has anyone else noticed when his birthday is? :=D

2.) 28 Jun 2016 17:53:42
Ed: always the small details with you mate: Dob 12 july.

For Moussa:
Laissez les bons temps rouler

Let the good times roll.

hail Hail.

{Ed007's Note - I've just realised that Clint Hill is old enough to be Dembele's dad!}

3.) 28 Jun 2016 18:32:05
Depending what area of the toon you hail from, he could be several of our first teams da's.

25 May 2016 17:00:23
Ed : Our new assistant manager is Chris Davies.
Thoughts anyone?

1.) 25 May 2016 22:52:29
My only thoughts are that he has worked with Brendan Rodgers with two of his previous clubs . That's good enough for me, if we don't trust B R in his appointments of people he has worked with, how can we have any faith in him signing players who presumably haven't played for him .
I trust him entirely.

2.) 26 May 2016 00:24:36
I'm with OldBhoy. He looks to have made quite a quick rise in coaching. Rodgers could have went for experience. But Davies is obviously somebody he trusts, somebody who knows his methods and drills and should make the transition easier. And that's good enough for me.

3.) 26 May 2016 02:03:30
Most of us want Rodgers to have final say on recruitment so whatever he chooses will do me fine. Let him live or die by his own sword. In Rodgers we trust hail hail!

{Ed007's Note - I was reading this earlier:

4.) 26 May 2016 02:26:02
It's late n that's a long article but had a quick look, al read the rest tomorrow. Sounds good ed, it's what everyone was wanting Rd to do, change the system to accommodate the players we have and to counter the opposition. Sounds like he'll do a valuable job

{Ed007's Note - I've not finished it either but he certainly talks the talk from what I have read.}

5.) 26 May 2016 05:19:31
Good article that. I wonder who was doing this previously if at all; I know RD brought over a Head of Performance but that was probably more focused on us than the opposition. CD has come in as assistant manager though hasn't he? With BR being unfamiliar with Scottish football CD might continue this role too.

{Ed001's Note - opposition analysis is the area Rodgers was weakest. Craig Bellamy tells a very good story about Liverpool facing Basel in the Europa League, while he was with the club working on coaching badges. Rodgers and his staff could not figure out how Basel were playing, let alone how to beat them, after doing their analysis and then playing them once, leading to us being embarrassed by them twice in the Europa League. They needed to analyse the games afterwards to figure out what the Swiss side were doing! I can't understand how it took them so long, they could have called me and I could have told them before kick off in the first match. How a bunch of highly paid professionals could not figure it out is beyond me.}

6.) 26 May 2016 05:57:18
Ach Ed you keep coming up with nuggets like this! Lol. That is a bad one.

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, but it is with good reason he fails to convince me. He is very good at talking the talk, but he is so focused on telling everyone how great he is that he seems to forget about actually doing it.}

7.) 26 May 2016 09:51:42
Seem to remember LFC playing a 3-5-2 with Can and Stirling as LWB's? So ITS not a given he will play the formation according to the players and not the other way around. RD did visit Rodgers in his study trips, so the football may not be that different from RD's. Going to be a hell of a ride though. I hope he gets it right even it makes RD look like a failure.

8.) 26 May 2016 13:13:11
Brendan Rodgers will no doubt want want to be a success at Celtic . He has had plenty of time to self analysis what went well at Liverpool and what needed to improve. I would have little doubt that a Professional like Rodgers has also sought professional advice on how to illuminate his weaknesses . There are not too many managers around who don't have weaknesses but most of them become adept at minimising them.

09 May 2016 13:35:15
JC to walk away with RD at the end of the season, that makes my day .

1.) 09 May 2016 16:15:34
Could it be we have spoke to a potential manager and he has said he wants full control of everything

I'm sure the board would of tried forcing JC on to the next man so maybe getting somewhere at last.

2.) 09 May 2016 16:32:02
I really hope your right buddy. I heard Brendan Rodgers will be announced on Monday.

3.) 09 May 2016 17:06:32
I read an article analysing JC words that a "New manager will come in and bring in his own staff" take that as you may but here's hoping. Also mentioned McNallys resignation as Chief Executive of Norwich hopefully PL might be moved on to the board too.

4.) 09 May 2016 17:14:59
Is that a genn dit for Monday?

5.) 09 May 2016 23:50:29
Can't see Brendon Rodgers at Celtic? Pedro is highest paid employee so Rodgers would be working for under £1mill a year? Won't happen!

6.) 10 May 2016 09:31:14
With big changes around the club this summer I'm not sure if Peter lawell will remain

Maybe the way the two years under ronny has went it's caused some people in the boardroom to waken up and call for a change of direction

One things for certain after the new manager is in, ed you'll be very busy. Players coming from here and there I'm sure (good luck)

7.) 10 May 2016 11:19:22
That's what I was told island just a rumour though so who knows except for the powers that be.

8.) 10 May 2016 12:19:26
Let's hope there is an announcement soon whoever the 'chosen one' may be.

After taking in all of the events that happened during the game yesterday, it reminded me the rangers teams from years ago, Thugs in boots with the Ref turning a blind eye to opposition players getting clobbered by the Huns. Mandy it's just as well Garner was not player, he would have broken a players leg, but in his absence Miller tried hard to do a job on SA.

{Ed007's Note - I've said the same on another post, CP about it being like a Walter Smith side - a complicit referee and just take turns at being the hatchet man until you get booked.}

1.) 13 Mar 2017 19:47:07
I remember long, long ago referees like Davidson, Wharton, Valentine, Gordon, Waddell, McCluskey and McGinley and you can add a string of reprobates since then to this day and it will go on and on.
Maybe managers and players have to take advice from big jock and make sure they ALL do their jobs to the very best of their ability on the day and take the initiative and opportunity away from the officials.

12 Mar 2017 16:39:13
******** TEXT DELETED *********

{Ed007's Note - No worries mate lol.}

1.) 12 Mar 2017 17:21:48
Wouldn't say no to a few grand ed for a bop in the nose stick it on the celts to do the treble lol.

{Ed007's Note - If we play like we did today you'd be better off betting that your namesake's going to turn up!}

06 Mar 2017 13:51:12
To all Celtic fans, I am starting to get a bit concerned with the "influence " Peter Lawell has in Scottish Football . How on earth did he manage to get Celtic a Bye into the Scottish Cup final. Wonders will never cease. 😉

1.) 06 Mar 2017 17:12:44
just heard the ref is ian paisley junior lol.

12 Feb 2017 09:43:04
We had to put up with the " you spend £5 we will spend £10 " for years . well now its a case of . WE will spend what we want when we want and the rest can spend whatever.
Only a few tweaks to the team for the upcoming CL Qualifiers.

1.) 12 Feb 2017 10:12:03
We will need to spend 36m mate because according to King they have spent 18m 😉!

No idea what on tho they have a duff team and a crumbling stadium.

12 Feb 2017 09:22:53
I see BR wants us to get fifty 50 points ahead, very tall order and not outwith our reach, however I will be happy with 40 points. when can the play the

As per other posters, have said the team spirit and Confidence is sky high, its been a while since we have seen our Team play.

Just a matter of queriosity, how many loans can 1 team have per season?

Terry must be the latest player lined up for the tribute act for next season, remember they can sell 8 players and get enough money to pay Terry his weekly wage, the same idea they have for Wayne Rooney . Lol.

I Think Hyndman is a decent player, according to a few of my workmates who are Rangers fans and watch him every week, he is a very good player.

StuartAC : any chance you could bottle some of whatever you are on and sent it to the Refs room or did that happen before the game.

Just had a look at how much he earns, he was on £7k a week but was asking for £50k for a new deal . The report said he would take £25k per week so it's about our price range.

I am sure I have posted this a few weeks ago but heard that Roberts had taken out another years lease on the flat he rents so hopefully that's a sign he is happy to stay?

{Ed007's Note - Was that you? I was going to mention that but wasn't sure if I had dreamt it or not! I hope everything's OK with the family btw buddy.}

Island Celt: if you take Roberts and tie him to Jinkys left leg as Jinky had the ball tied to his right leg and no defrender could take the ball of him . that's how good jinky was, an absolute joy to watch, standing watching him from the Jungle he just ran about Paradise like a kid in a candy shop.
Rip jinky and thanks for wearing the hoops.

LeedsCelt: The fee for Roberts is about £5-6m it's the possible add ons that could take it to the £12m mark . However as you say will PR be happy to sit in the reserves or worse the under 21s . We need to test the waters they can only say no .

{Ed007's Note - Roberts has no future at City and I don't see City playing silly buggers over a couple of million quid, they're not exactly counting the pennies and they know the market we work in. I think it'll come down to Paddy himself, I don't see any top EPL teams coming in for him and he is enjoying his time up here so hopefully he fancies hanging about for a few more years winning trophies and playing in the CL.
Considering we've paid a loan fee for him I'd slap in a cheeky £4million bid and we won't be far away from City getting their initial outlay back on the player.}
