I see we are being touted as being interested in Lewis Gibson, I hope we are also looking at Adarabioyo, Renie-Adelade and Dominic Solanki. We could get these players for ery little as their contracts are up.

17 Apr 2017 21:49:49
Onyekuru is not going to the EPL; he dos not meet the work permit standards so the only people who have a chance of signing him are the Europeans. I still don't believe he will come to us as we don't get involved with auctions.

{Ed007's Note - There's no reason why Henry Onyekuru wouldn't qualify for a work-permit as an exceptional talent the same as Wanyama and Eboue Kouassi.}

1.) 18 Apr 2017 04:51:30
I said the EPL would not grant him a work permit as he does not meet their qualifing standards. The SPL and scotland would grant a work permit.

{Ed007's Note - I think you need to read up on tne changes that were made to the FA regs in 2015.}

2.) 18 Apr 2017 13:28:31
Would love us to sign this kid.

14 Feb 2017 17:18:46
There are seven players leaving this summer, I believe their combined wages ammount to £100,000 per week this would equate to 4 players at £25,000 per week these would improve the team considerably.

1.) 14 Feb 2017 20:14:31
Why not 2 players? B. R has already stated he could break the current transfer record, I personally would rather have 2 players of a higher calibre on 50 grand. Obv a player that would command 100 grand a week would be to hard to attract to scotland and the transfer fee would be ridiculous but I feel 50grand should be within our budget.

2.) 15 Feb 2017 09:01:06
£50k for one or two players may be within our budget Augustus but then when our other top performers start asking for the same it becomes an issue.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 00:08:36
I'd be very surprised if we spent the whole 100k. We have trimmed the wage budget year on year near enough since the mon era. If as you said 7 going and 100k is there, say a few still under contract go we should have a bit to play with. If we can trim by 10 and add 2 with pedigree and 3 more ready for the 1st team we are in a great place for having a proper go at Europe. Just hope the skelper stays regardless. His sale would result in a better squad if his fee was invested but it doesn't mean a thing if your can't get em goals!

4.) 18 Feb 2017 09:41:42
We will probably need to replace Izzy, would be good to get an attacker who can play LW/ CAM who can push Rogic and Sinclair and provide cover (Onyekuru) sign up Roberts too but we still have him on loan for the time being. Get rid of both Bailly and De Vries and get a good commanding keeper in.

De Vries
Still need to lose a CB.

05 Dec 2016 16:43:29
See RB Leipzjg have joined the bidding for Moussa. This could be good news 25 mill + Oliver Burke or 30 Mill from Real Madrid with a loan back for a year would be good news.

1.) 06 Dec 2016 15:43:45
I can honestly see him getting shot of the wee man hope I'm wrong he's done nothing wrong to be put out of the team one injury and that's it. Think Rodgers won't stand for the rotten attitude but hopefully he works with him gets him back in the team there is no doubt LG is 100% committed to us he gives his all on the pitch and he'd definitely have something plenty to offer to a team in the BPL don't want to loose him.

2.) 06 Dec 2016 17:05:40
How the hell could the unsubstantiated rumour about any bid for a top player like Dembele be good news . Dembele has repeated time and time again that he has no interest in leaving .
I thought it was bad enough the MSSM doing their best to unsettle him., without people who claim to be Celtic supporters doing the same.

3.) 06 Dec 2016 22:48:45
Guys, just by repeating these unsubstantiated rumours you're all adding fuel to the fire. Until BR and CFC make it clear otherwise then neither Griff nor Moussa are going anywhere. Can't we just leave it like that instead of listening to every feckin granny and her dog? HH.

10 Jul 2015 11:26:40
See Denayer wants to leave city we should push the boat out and get this guy in asap Then if VVD leaves he would be no great loss

1.) 10 Jul 2015 13:21:03
Not sure bout the truth of this story in the press. Says he wants to leave City if not guaranteed first team football. He'd be very lucky to get into the first team never mind be guaranteed a place!

2.) 10 Jul 2015 13:23:48
No chance mate! He's in the Belgium national team now! He'll have plenty of offers in EPL or abroad! We done well for him and he done well for us,but he won't come back to the shitty league we play in! And it just proves how shite it is with that result from tommy(mourinho)wrights diddy team last nite! Embarssing!

3.) 10 Jul 2015 14:07:38
We should through a 5m bid in to test the water! It's as safe an investment as we could get!

4.) 10 Jul 2015 16:29:30
That was obviously a joke there mate wasn't it? 5 million!! On one player! A can hear Lawells heart racing from here lol

5.) 10 Jul 2015 19:27:14
5m probably wouldn't buy him but now joke if he wants to leave I'd be happy to Ity us spending that sort of cash on a known quality like denayer!

6.) 10 Jul 2015 22:34:26
He already said he did'nt want to come back here on loan as he wanted to try a stronger league,he hardly going to come here full time,or did I read that quote wrong

7.) 11 Jul 2015 09:00:00
Maybe so but if we qualify for the CL it might be different story but I don't expect us to sign him! At least he would be wanted here and he seems more interested in football than money!

8.) 11 Jul 2015 12:35:57
A £5m fee will render Lawell a gibbering, troubled wreck.

More chance of my cat developing a love for the works of Solzhenitsyn than us spending that kind of cash.

I hope that the talking points tomorrow are all football and not about officals. Last night again Scottish officals on the park cannot not when everyone else cleaarly does.
I am sure this has to be the poorest selection of referees and linesman in the history of scottish football. They will undoubtably quote the number of tv cameras and the speed of the game today, But their payment, training and ability to access modern media systems should prepare them for exactly that.
Spain has all of these pressures and more and is still producing high class officals. Germany has always had quality refs and linemen.

We should be doing better.

1.) 26 May 2017 13:01:18
Stephen McLean is one of a growing band of dodgy or incompetent officials that regularly make high profile errors - or honest mistakes. Madden, the referee for Saturday has already shown weakness in big games, however with all the talent on show in the final let's hope it's the players who make all the headlines and limelight.

2.) 26 May 2017 17:37:47
When are they going to bring in some kind of CCTV or whatever to assist is in close decisions, they could have a couple of guys watching the monitors, and if the ref asks for help the CCTV decision is final, something like what they do in rugby.

20 May 2017 15:03:32
I have been thinking of an invincible season, and what could stop this happening.
No team in Scotland can live with us, therefore it will take extreme circumstanses for us to fail.
What circumstances you ask, an early sending off for either a defender or goalkeeper. A rash challenge, a dive by Hayes or McGinn. A nervous or anti Celtic referee. All of these are entirely possible it has happen before.

1.) 20 May 2017 16:48:46
That is a new name for the type of bias referees who have been partial against us for years . Nervous referee, that is a joke.

2.) 20 May 2017 20:42:09
We debated this months ago about an unbeaten season and there was quite a few on here of the opinion they couldn't care less as long as we won trophies which was quite right. but we are now on the cusp of greatness and i think opinion has changed now that we are almost there HH.

3.) 20 May 2017 22:47:33
Ffs enjoy the moment guy's and don't worry about thing's we can't control or might never happen , we stand on the brink of history once again.

4.) 20 May 2017 23:39:52
Or just a bad day at the office?

5.) 21 May 2017 09:39:57
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I was a young boy and my uncle took me to the 1976 League Cup Final. I remember before the game seeing a paper headline that said 'Nothing can stop the Green Machine'.
We lost 2-1. Who beat us? Aberdeen :- (.

6.) 21 May 2017 12:45:12
I should add that I'm not being pessimistic. I believe we'll do the treble and remain unbeaten all along the way but experiences like the one I mentioned can be a leveller. HH #COYBIG.

19 May 2017 20:54:20
No wonder we are paranoid when we see comments like those by Mcleish and others in the media. Trying to sell our best players and change the rules to handicap us.
Other countries would celebrate having a club playing such skillful and beautiful football. They would be questioning the coaching and commitment of the other clubs for not producing similar skills and style. There have been 7 scots playing in most of our games this year so you can work with players and make them better.

1.) 19 May 2017 21:45:04
Look at the Scotland game against Canada with no Celtic players in it to the next game they returned says it all really.

2.) 19 May 2017 22:45:31
The full establishment and media are hurting badly as Celtic will dominate for decades!

07 May 2017 15:13:10
I am watching the EPL and i believe that should we be drawn against either of Lierpool, Man Utd, Aresnal or Man City ( Their are 1 yr older we are 1 yr better) We could be confident of winning overall with the current players. Chelsea and Tottenham would be harder. I am confident that with a coupleof quality signing we would be able to gie any team in Europe a difficult game especially at home.

1.) 07 May 2017 17:48:44
Agree mate, you can't buy squad mentality or cohesion.

2.) 07 May 2017 18:03:15
Hmm, not sure about that. Think we need to calm down a wee bit. Things are shaping up nicely though, couple of quality signings in the Summer and we should have a nice squad. Transfer market this year is the key in terms of recruitments and outgoings!

3.) 07 May 2017 19:25:18
Transfer market is key to recruitments and outgoings, you don't say, u one of them miko.

4.) 08 May 2017 03:46:55
Yea he's an accountant . Lol.

5.) 08 May 2017 09:42:32
Get real, ya donks! Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool will spend big next season, how can you be confident we'll beat them "overall". Get a grip. get real!

6.) 08 May 2017 11:59:01
Last time we played any of them we more than held our own, and probably have a better squad now, with a good pre season and a few quality signings i wouldn't fear anyone from england especially at home, a big price tag doesn't necessarily mean a top player in their market, your admitting defeat before we even get to group stages miko.

7.) 08 May 2017 14:15:15
To be fair miko is just being realistic, yes we're on a great run and playing great football. but it's a whole different level taking on your Chelsea's and the rest! It's not being negative just a bit realism.

8.) 08 May 2017 15:06:20
Correct LH, thank you! Our objective should be to qualify for the CL proper and qualify for knockout stages. I'm a season ticket holder and just renewed at more than a 10% increase, so don't question my commitment to the team! Man City will be one of the favourites to win the CL next season. get real and support the team with realistic expectations! That's all.

9.) 08 May 2017 18:41:54
I'm not trying to question your commitment mate chill, just saying with the team we've got right now I'd be hopeful going into a big game like that, if you didn't have anything supportive to say on the guys comment u would have been better saying nothing, or go on their page and tell them how wer not near that level yet.

27 Apr 2017 05:12:38
I love watching young players develop and really enjoyed the youth cup game last night. Lots of good players on show throughout the team and some could get a squad chance before the end of the season.
For me the stand out player was the captain Sam Wardrop, him and Kerr reminded me of Macneil and Clark. He is not the tallest central defender but his reading of the game + his speed to close down he danger meant we never looked like losing a goal. That and the fact he scored the opener to calm any nerves showed true leadership, I look forward to seeing some of these players in the future.

I watched Kerr and Wardrop on wednesday and they too looked very good and are the same age as Ajer and Adarabioyo, we aslo have MacCart and Kellacher to return in the summer. If we buy someone like St Juste that means we would have 7 players all 19-20 and you cannot play them all. Some would be disallusioned and leave it is a problem that needs careful handling as i think we should be produceing our own players where possible. They are cheaper and stay longer. Shame O'Connell did not work out liked the lad and his attitude hopes he does well whereever he goes.

This is being hyped by the English press and Arsenal as they want Tierney on the cheap. By offering Willock at an over inflated price.

I have to agreed their supporters are nasty. They are horrible people always trying to attack decent players and fans. Why did the police not intervene when Luztig was being abused is a disgrace. I was proud when he did not react and instead we did our talking on the park by putting 5 in the net sorry 7 wasnt it.

Thank god for someone else who has seen that Sviatchenko is to slow for defence, yes he has good points but in todays game pace is vital. I too think he has cost us goals in big games, and that means Europe where we will face real tests.
Check my previous posts i suggested months ago moving him into midfield in place of Biton where his strength, tackling will gives us a powerful midfield and he can stide forward to provide hieght in the penalty area. I know we have bought Kouassi but he is young and raw. Why does he not get selected for his country.

Agree completely have you just seen the disgrcefull tackle by Garner and only a yellow card, I wonder what Smith and McCann will say that he got the ball and did not touch the man. The hamilton man obviously dived.
