Is it true? Barry Ferguson is the choice? I know its cruel but i have to go over to the dark side and gloat .

1.) 25 Feb 2017 20:09:34
ha ha an you all mocked me when I told you last week that Barry and Bomber were the "dream team"
Champions League here they come.

2.) 25 Feb 2017 20:26:19
God i wouldn't mock you Tim . I was hoping Bomber was the choice but Baz will do :-)

3.) 25 Feb 2017 20:28:41
It's probably for the best, will make it even more enjoyable when he fails, the old rangers would have been in a much better place if they had got shot of that wee nyaf, and given Paul le Guen then a free hand to modernise the club, the thing I find amazing when I go to their rumours site, there are still a lot of them taking Ferguson's side against le Guen, well I hope this isn't a rumour and Ferguson is the new manager, I could do with being cheered up.

4.) 25 Feb 2017 21:09:07
Now how is this for irony, wee Barry as coach of sevco, and, wait for it, Paul Le Guen as Director of football, well they said they had to have some sort of chemistry lol.

5.) 25 Feb 2017 21:32:31
Need sevco to bring in good manager just to keep our own interested although saying that would love to see ferguson fall flat on his fud face fud.

6.) 25 Feb 2017 21:34:37
When all around are loosing their heads mif 1970 is calm and rational . Calm down boys we are still third and will q for europe . bless him.

12 Feb 2017 14:00:31
Any truth in the rumours young Billy Gilmore was at cp and was taken on a guided tour by our captain marvel .

1.) 12 Feb 2017 14:10:53
Who's Billy Gilmore? (Sorry don't know him)

{Ed007's Note - I think it's spellt Glmour, he's the young TRIFC player they decided to bum up after our youngster Karamoko Dembele hit the headlines. I've personally never seen Gilmour play but know a couple of scouts who speak highly of him although not as highly as TRIFC or the media do.
And the stories are that Gilmour and his family are rumoured to be Celtic supporters.}

2.) 12 Feb 2017 14:52:09
bu the looks of it Gilmour is being lined up to play against Morton today. so what superstar will be benched. lol.

3.) 12 Feb 2017 14:38:32
Speaking of young Dembele, any reports how things are going there .

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything mate.}

4.) 12 Feb 2017 16:06:14
ma mate taught him and ran his school team. says he's a great wee player and his mothers a tim they were guests at Barcelona game.

5.) 13 Feb 2017 13:02:09
So he will be signing then seeing as he is a tim then? Rofl doesn't matter these days what team a player supports. doesn't guarantee they will sign never has. Cringeworthy statement.

6.) 13 Feb 2017 21:07:53
Wasnt a statement ya balloon yee, it was a question and yes if he's good enough try and sign him not because he's a "Tim".

31 Aug 2016 08:55:23
Schweingsteiger spotted in Brendan Rodgers home town. It's though him and Brendan are meeting up away from glaring eyes to thrash out a deal.

1.) 31 Aug 2016 09:24:57
TTTS, that isn't a rumour. It's a fact. My mate's a taxi driver and he picked the 2 of them up at the airport early this morning. HH.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 09:31:59
He is away with the German national side I think.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 09:40:32
He asked Brendan if there was a deal to be done. Brendan winked at him and said we might hear some good news later. Not sure if he meant Schweinsteiger though because the German is on a holiday to Ireland to explore his family ancestry anyway. The O'Schweinsteigers are a well known family in parts of Donegal. HH.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 10:14:31
Just heading to Carnlough now. He's signing wrapping paper in the chippie.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 11:55:16
Funny so funny

Oschwinesteighers.

18 May 2016 15:22:59
Well so it seems DD is taking a hands on approach. Is Lawwell being ushered to the side a bit or even better ushered up the London Road.

1.) 18 May 2016 15:46:10
He seemed very relaxed. I'm sure i saw Joey Barton in the background holding his golf bag.

2.) 18 May 2016 15:59:15
I suppose they need to be careful about what they say. People place bets on what they hear. If any clue slips out the bookies will have an avalanche of bets and would suspend betting.

3.) 18 May 2016 16:15:47
According to the report on sky sports app dd says it won't be a manager with a higher profile than Ronny d? Although no quoted words!

4.) 18 May 2016 16:54:06
This is what DD said for anyone who hasn't seen it.

"I can say we have talked to a lot of managers, all very good, we are excited about the candidates we have, " Desmond said.

"And hopefully the next four or five days, maybe early next week I hope we'll be able to make an announcement if negotiations are concluded. "

"We've spoken to a lot of managers, " Desmond said. "We like to think that Celtic is a very big club and it needs a great manager to manage such a big club, so we're looking for that type of person. "

"Ronny won two leagues, he added a lot to the club, and he found it difficult last year, which he admitted himself. But again, that era's over now.

"Ronny, we thank him for his efforts, and now we're looking forward to the next manager building the club up to Champions League contenders.

"I think we need a good manager. "

5.) 18 May 2016 16:54:46
Then I'd suggest he never said it at all DelBhoy1888.

6.) 18 May 2016 17:16:01
Seen that delbhoy. Was wondering if it was a typo.

7.) 18 May 2016 17:31:14
Thought that myself kevbhoy . Usual mssm spin trying to put us down . Even on Snyde last nite it was a case of why would Rodgers or moyes come to the back waters of Scottish football? Then on the second hand what a coup it would be for Scottish football if " the rangers " pull off the signing of an epl player in the status of Barton! Championship team of the year, Barnsley player of the year . Pep warbuton spelling power of the epl! Total bias towards them.

8.) 18 May 2016 21:30:02
Funny how higher and higher profile managers are being mentioned when season ticket renewals are ongoing. Hopefully this time we do deliver. Said Moyes a long time ago based on heads up and no reason to alter opinion

DM for Celtic.

11 Apr 2016 14:00:22
So Lawwell is on Sunderland's list for coe. What's everyones thoughts, will he stay, will he go, if he goes what are your thoughts on replacement. Most likely like for like with Desmonds shroud business ethics.

1.) 11 Apr 2016 15:04:19
As much as I don't like the way he has run part of the club (The way new players are sourced ) The rest of it I don't think he has done anything wrong If he would give the say back to the manager as in who comes to the club I would say it will be a sad day if he goes.

2.) 11 Apr 2016 15:55:35
Think over all he's done a good job for us, but the past few years with down sizing and penny pinching have soured it for me! Wouldn't be the end of the world if he was to leave! Maybe somebody with some new ideas could be brought in.

3.) 11 Apr 2016 16:00:06
If he solely focused on the money side of things, of course tweaking our policies and caps etc (admittedly that's the board as a whole too) , and got a better DoF in to make the footballing decisions - he's welcome. But that's too big of an 'if', so he can go. Ultimately the sidestepping, mis-spending and failure to capitalise on CL without Rangers falls on HIS door. I don't know what's improved under our chairman's tenure either mind and JP could easily be replaced too.

4.) 11 Apr 2016 18:51:18
i agree with the above poster I think he has done a lot of good for the club business wise however, I think we need someone with good business sense but also a good understanding of the footballing side of things. If Lawell leaves hopefully park gets the boot and Ronny gets a bigger say in transfer dealings.

5.) 11 Apr 2016 21:46:06
Nothing will change with lawwel leaving
He is an employee doing the he's employed to do.
Deliver success on park and off it.
Both of which he has done.

6.) 13 Apr 2016 16:17:11
Hi Ed, Is there any substance to this or is it another ploy by the rags to unsettle the club before the Sevco game as they've already done so with players, RD and now Lawell.

{Ed007's Note - There's been murmurings all season that PL could leave at the end of the season and I don't see why Sunderland wouldn't be interested. Don't you think it would give the support, and the club, a lift it was announced he was leaving rather than unsettle us? }

19 Feb 2017 12:14:48
If we loose our next 10 games and they win theirs we will be pipped for 3 rd place . let's hope we win the cup . European football is a must .

1.) 20 Feb 2017 15:13:54
damn I hate when it comes down to goal difference.

18 Feb 2017 22:14:39
Could be doing with at least 1 old style bone crunching minder in the middle of the park so that some of these dirty bassas thst are allowed to try and break legs will think twice about it . The young lads career could have ended today .

1.) 18 Feb 2017 23:21:49
Potentially eboue?

2.) 18 Feb 2017 23:38:29
You think one of our players would be allowed to be a bone cruncher. If that had been our player today he'd have walked.

3.) 19 Feb 2017 11:14:17
one tackle in Europe, sent off.

4.) 19 Feb 2017 12:49:11
@digibanger saw your post on the ex bears site
"demoted" dear dear.

5.) 19 Feb 2017 18:16:56
I hate the club and all they stand for
But I have an affinity for "honest" rangers fans - most are just blokes like us who love their team and its shocking the way they have been mismanaged.

its akin to the kellys with us. I also firmly believe it was very short sighted to be so hard on them as:
1) they money they have brought into the Scottish game (same as we do - and bugger all anybody else)

2) for the competitive nature of the Scottish game - we are not bottom of Uefa / CL groups and not qualifying for this very reason.

Although I'm living the dominance where will it lead. I don't see the E and WPL ever inviting us in. Why should they.

6.) 19 Feb 2017 18:14:10
no one happier than me to see Dundee win today

I am sure you feel sorry for your ex-bears mates no matter how deluded they are.

7.) 19 Feb 2017 20:38:35
Digibanger i don't think you are far wrong. I detest them but as you say most of the rangers supporters i know are ok guys. Yes if you go on the rangers banter site there are some knuckle draggers but what has been allowed to happen at that club is scandelous.

Having said that they generally have no idea how much trouble they are in. I would not put it past king to go into admin and write off the £17 mill soft loans? They are a new club so its a 10 points deduction.

If you are 6 behind the sheep then its an option. They won't get £17 million from europa. don't count it out and that's the problem. Once again rodgered from behind or in their case looking up Rodgers behind from very far away.

8.) 20 Feb 2017 00:15:29
Nice to see two of our posters know Rangers fans who are ok guys . Lucky for you .
All I see are guys who in the 90's and the 00's were not aware of the cheating and frauds carried out by the old Rangers 1872 . Most if not all of their tax cheating and non paying of debts to both v small businesses and large were out in public knowledge but these ok guys latched themselves on to the new Rangers 2012 who have been run by only men with very poor honest business integrity .
I cannot understand how ok people could support Rangers 2012, surely they must be ashamed of what Rangers 1872 did and should be keeping a low profile so that decent football fans could move on supporting Scottish Football and now an honest game . If they disappeared we might no longer have the Masonic ref's who blight our game.

9.) 19 Feb 2017 23:28:28
Purely for the genuine people who took their hard earned dosh and supported a club who shafted and is continuing to shaft them. They conned the tax man and ticketus - now looking to ask the fans to pay in advance for cup tickets, season tickets, I'm sure there will be a share issue, Wowee we are third dvd.

All some people are doing is supporting their club. I think sfa should have stepped in and helped Gretna too.

I have no love for the bigots - on either side but I have a genuine concern for the blue half of Glasgow. WHat are they supposed to do if gers genuinely go under - support Celtic?

In 2012 they should started their own fans new club.

10.) 20 Feb 2017 11:44:41
Am wae old bhoy, i feel zero sympathy for anyone connected to either the old or new club. As far as am concerned they deserve the pain and I'm loving every minute.

11.) 20 Feb 2017 16:06:47
well said steph.

12.) 20 Feb 2017 15:44:22
@oldbhoy - and yet you and fellow fans are quite prepared to keep on supporting Celtic even though 2 recent players have been guilty of racism ( LG and Tonev ) , Big Kolo has served a drugs ban and who can forget the Prestwick Flasher ( Forrest ) .
Let him without sin etc Show me a fan with 100% morals and I'll say the same fan is a liar.

13.) 20 Feb 2017 20:06:25
It's totally different uj and u know it. Old bhoy is talking about the club lacking morals not individual players. You can't compare decades of discrimination with one or two players disgracing themselves.

Same goes for kolo, that's an individual mistake, the old club financially doped for years, and also walked away from debts, leaving small companies short. It looks as though the new club could possibly go down the same path to try n screw ashley out of his money. There's no comparison, simple as that.

14.) 20 Feb 2017 20:14:47
UJ, we're not talking about a couple of players making mistakes, we all do. we're talking about 40,000 plus joining in to sing the same mince that is your clubs very reason to be. 🍀.

15.) 20 Feb 2017 23:28:54
@stephbhoy - decades of discrimination? Haven't you heard, we were only formed in 2012.😉 And Oldbhoy wasn't talking about the sectarian nonsense ( surprisingly ) , he was asking why fans would keep on supporting after the financial mess that affected normal people.

I was making a valid point that even though you may be disgusted by LG's behavior you would have still cheered everyone of his 40 odd goals last season and you say it was individual mistakes but the club still employed him?

I'm no expert but surely it wouldn't only be Ashley that loses money. Wouldn't all the people who have given the club ' soft ' loans not lose that as well?

16.) 21 Feb 2017 07:11:51
i was talking about the old clubs sectarian policy, you can't compare what a couple of players do to decades of institutional sectarianism. The new club isn't exactly covering itself in glory on that front either with the pictures of loyalist flute bands on the official website. Same flies different jobby. All am saying is you deserve the pain, all of you.

17.) 21 Feb 2017 12:59:55
@stephbhoy - surely that's what being a fan is, taking the good times with the bad? I'm not young enough that I was only brought up in the 9 in a row years so as a fan I've sat through some rubbish on the park.
I'm prepared to take some hurt for a couple of years if improvements are made on and off the park.

18.) 21 Feb 2017 18:09:16
What do you mean take the good times with the bad? Am talking about your club and it's policies. Not performances on the park.

19.) 21 Feb 2017 22:56:16
@stephbhoy - You said ' you deserve the pain '. So I assumed you're talking about off field / on field issues? I can certainly be disappointed and embarrassed at the singing / photos as I commented at the time.

20.) 22 Feb 2017 00:55:43
Ok fair point uj. A can accept that your embarrassed by on field and off field issues, seems plausible. 😀.

I'm one of the guilty 1s that called Ronnie D a nutritionist. It seems BR has that mentality also but has a few more strings to his bow.
