Perhaps 2 up front is not neccessarily the best way forward.

As and where BR and CD think it fits, sure. It worked last night, not sure there's a better example of playing two strikers in a central area working, actually, with that goal.

2.) 14 Dec 2016 12:53:05
I thought it upset the flow in the midfield to be honest.

3.) 14 Dec 2016 19:35:57
Not disagreeing kev, but the idea is to be more direct. Two central strikers can work, and at times will be a good solution or a plan b, something I hear a lot of people wanting.

4.) 14 Dec 2016 21:06:11
Our problem as fans is that we want what we can't get . Last season nearly every day I got up I read how stupid and useless R D was because he played only one up front . Some even regarded as sacrilege anti Celtic football.
Along came B R and after he strung some victories together he reduced the amount of moans to a whisper . As the season progressed and wingers started missing games through injury, B R seems to be swaying towards two up front and now after more than a year of either demanding two up front, or maybe quietly accepting just one we are now beginning to fault two up front.

Am I missing something. It seems most "pundits" are going for a Rangers win tomorrow. Now I know I'm a bit biased but what's changed sine the last 5-1 humping? Have they suddenly hit a hot streak of form or have we slumped to many a defeat. Confused I am.

It's the Craig Thomson factor lol.

2.) 22 Oct 2016 19:12:19
Steven McLean 4th official. they must REALLY need something from this game. ie takings from the final to stay alive.

3.) 22 Oct 2016 19:27:52
Guys these "reporters" are only pandering to their "loyal" readership who even cares what they think, they are as deluded as the guy on their site today who advocates them splashing out £3m on Defoe they really do live in a parellel universe.
As to the "Thomson factor" I will put up odds tomorrow of an ordering off, penalty etc.

4.) 22 Oct 2016 19:34:10
I don't think anything has changed since the 5-1 drubbing we gave them. The pundits have probably convinced themselves that Joey Barton was the problem all along and that their win at Inverness coupled with our defeat to Borussia means that they are now the leading team in Scotland.
With logic like that, is it any wonder that the Scottish national team is in the state it's in.

5.) 22 Oct 2016 21:44:03
We should always pick the formation and personnel that Brendan Rodgers thinks is best suited to win the match, rather than accommodate any footballer.

6.) 22 Oct 2016 23:01:29
Let the pundits say what they want buddy! This will be the same pundits who actually thought there was a hope in hell they would win the league this year! your spot in mate, there's hee haw changed from last months spankin! I expect a comprehensive victory tomorrow! Maybe not 5 but we'll put this tribute act in there place once again!

After Tuesdays disappointment I'm really looking forward to this weekends game. Hopefully another top performance. Would love to see two up front with Griffiths if fit with Dembele.

Credit where it's due but surely Dundalk would be a dream of a CL play-off tie.

At the moment I'd rather see Jozo and Dedrick as our CH partnership unless we bring an other CH with proven ability. I don't think Ajer is ready for and every game campaign yet. I would though like to see him get a few games under his belt.

Not really sure about Mccarthy at 6.5 million. Not sure we're he'd fit in.

Griffiths was MOTM. Great link up and lead the line superbly.

My only worry is only one CH and one CF going into such a big game.

Has the sound system not been upgraded.

DesH

{Ed007's Note - There was folk moaning about it on Tw@tter at the weekend so I'm just going with that, Des.}

Wasn't at the game last night as im on holiday. Id hoped we would have moved on from the IRA patter but by the sounds of it no! We should all be proud of the Irish connection to our club but we're a Scottish team and the provo patter has got to stop. No good sagging the other mob when we sing songs about glorifying people who were killers.
