Hearing billy sharp is a strong possibility for a 6 month loan. I prefer that to a permanent deal then go get someone in permanent in the summer. But still not sure how I feel about it.

If he given the ball in and around the area he will score. He is a poacher. wouldn't have him permanently but a 6 month loan will be a good stop gap and give us the extra time to get someone in permanent. Just not sure if the way we play suits him.

So a six month loan deal then face the qualifiers without any inform strikers if Griff or bayo don't step up cause we'll sell Eddie in the summer sharp would head off back down south and we're all crossing our fingers we can get someone in early like that ever happens to us and they hit the ground running. possibly the worst outcome I can imagine.

Think in January you have to be pragmatic. We need help upfront n looks like sporar is going to Lisbon so we need quality backup for the run in. If celtic can't get their no1 choice now ud bring in a loan with pedigree n get the signings we actually want in Sumner. can't just blast £6-7mill on players for sake of it.

Bravetart, I think everyone on here would. Griff on form is the best back up we could get as far as I'm concerned, but he doesn't look like he's confident or fit so we need to look elsewhere, I would try to get a striker or two in and loan griff to hibs. I think it would benefit everyone involved. Griff would be getting games at a place where he would be loved, he could score against the Rangers but not us and we would get a happy fit griff back in the summer. Well that's the best outcome if he ain't going to score for us anyway.

Probably the best move for him at the moment Stephbhoy to be honest. He loves Hibs so maybe playing regularly there where he's loved will get him his mojo back plus they might take points off Sevco along the way too.

@Mally he has been great when he's played for us, calm and composed and a wee bit of trickery up his sleeve, unfortunate to get another injury but wee jezza is doing his thing and will be good to see what lenny does when ElHamed is 100%. i would try jeeza infront of Elhamed if jamesy keeps hiding in games, maybe then jamesy will pull his finger out and do what we know he can.

It's becoming clear why we were able to snap up a player of his quality for such a reasonable fee. It's a shame because he's been terrific whenever he's played.

@Kev i was talking about the last couple of games mate. (i should have stated) lol i know he's a class player but he was never involved at parkhead last Sunday in his natural position. He just needs that extra gear now till the end of the season, this break will hopefully get them firing on all cylinders again

Chris he played poorly but to say he was hiding is just untrue. Not one of the front 4 players should have collected their wage because johnstone, christie and eddy were just as bad but only forrest is getting accused of hiding.

Have to agree with Chris here, I'm not having a go at forrest because the last few seasons including this one so far his numbers have been exceptional.
However, being one of the more senior players whose been in this first team for nearly ten years he definetely hides when the going gets tough, he's absolutely diabolical when we play rangers and yes the past 2 games against them most of them were bad but I just think with his experience he should be taking control and getting a grip instead of looking like a lost little schoolboy, even the 2-0 game at ibrox he was substituted and we were far better after that.
It's ok to say that he's been involved in X amount of chances etc but barring a few big games he very rarely turns up, I honestly think it's just complacency because he's been that used to very little competition down that right side but changing the system and putting frimpong further up would definetely improve us.

Agree with that Mally would like to see Elhamed (if we can get him fit) getting a shot beside Jullian and pushing Big Ajer into the midfield to rotate with Broony and Calmac. It would give us a much needed bit of muscle in there.

Ajer for the height and build of him should be better in the air especially at set pieces, something we are needing.
Benkovik although a good plater may have issues with injuries however waynamas injuries record over the past few years has been pretty dire as well.

Great player but his fitness is the biggest concern. Already got one Croat sick note on the books who can't be depended on, Although his knee injury against Wigan didn't last long as he was back on the bench against Villa a few days later.
