All season NL has used the 3 keepers and none of then has cemented their place. We had a young keeper coming through the ranks but he's just signed for Liverpool. 🤔.

1.) 01 Feb 2021 19:33:46
Hardly a loss when he’d never have been given a chance anyway.

02 Jun 2020 20:38:15
During the transfer window do yous think we will get rid of Bolongoli or give him another season to judge him? We still need a RB as Frimpong isn't a RB and is better being a winge. 2 Centre Halfs if Ajer goes as Bitton isn't the answer stepping in at CH. If we can sign FF and Elyounoussi and keep Edouard we will continually dominate Scottish Football.

1.) 02 Jun 2020 20:56:28
bitton in scotland including against that mob could play with his eyes shut at CH and stroll through it, europe on the other hand is a different matter we definitely need to strengthen at CH, also in my opinion 2 full backs both sides and 2 wingers both sides needed and a keeper.

2.) 03 Jun 2020 01:07:59
Bringing in Forster and keeping Edouard should be the priority. Would be happy with a new CB to challenge Ajer and a LB to fight it out with Taylor.

3.) 03 Jun 2020 09:59:13
Boli might kick on having been here a year and getying to know our game and environment so you never know.

4.) 03 Jun 2020 11:26:11
i like boli just needed a bit more belief in the 18 yard box.
im not sure where he is tho has he been put out to sort his head out where is he.
think lenny has told him to take a while away.
ye big foster great goalie but at price,
and as of moi he was coming into a gd game player then out with injury he did not recapture that in the end.
yes i want the ten in a row but not to break the bank to get it we still need to plan after that so its still groom players get them ready for the break through then sell big,
why would we change this its been working magic so far.

5.) 03 Jun 2020 13:17:30
I’d get rid of boli tbh as he’s been crap. The talk is that Forster will sign on loan again but if Gordon goes we would need a back up. I think we need at least one centre half regardless.

6.) 03 Jun 2020 13:57:58
bit harsh, id have him before taylor.
foster gd goalie but not at £40.0000 weekly id rather we started adding youth team in as there are 5/ 6 crackers there.
get them broke in up and running increase there market value.

7.) 03 Jun 2020 15:02:20
A like the thought of us blooding a few youngsters mate
But ad rather they went out on loan first and got games elsewhere this is a massive season for us and will be full of pressure every single game worse than any before. A lot of teams will be struggling financially so might benefit us getting our kids out and playing first team games elsewhere.

8.) 03 Jun 2020 16:11:11
I thought Bain signed a new deal so I don't see us needing to sign a back up.

9.) 03 Jun 2020 16:37:59
Agree with bigbubs, I think signing forster is absolutely paramount this summer he's nothing short of sensational and if we're going to make any sort of impact in Europe he's got to be between the sticks, just look at his performances this season especially against lazio.
I'd like to see us get him for another year on loan and then signing him next summer for a lower fee when he has a year left on his deal with southampton, wages will be the only stumbling block but the way he speaks I reckon he would be willing to take a hit providing he was the top earner, he's easily got at least another good 5 years in him.

I think bolingoli deserves another chance, I think he just needs a bit of guidance and confidence and a bit of work on the defensive side and he could come onto a real game for us, it doesn't click straight away with every signing but it would be harsh to punt him without giving him another chance to prove himself.

I like bitton but he's definelty not the centre half we need he's more of a backup and a good utility man for centre half and defensive mid, with simunovic away I suspect we'll be in the market for a new centre half, would just love us to have an out and out defender to clear the lines who wouldn't break the bank, jullien can't do it by himself and needs somebody with better defensive skills next to him than ajer.

10.) 03 Jun 2020 20:27:13
Ye markm88
Forgot about button.
I was saying earlier just a thought from me tho.
What if
Ajer, bayo rogic ntcham frencheddy IV probly missed a few but if the price is right they leave. This leaves us light in numbers
So trust in scouting system and the youth system
yes gd call put them out on loan then they could be ready plus we get to see them. But they don't trained the same way Celtic would train them hmmmmm I'm done lols.

11.) 03 Jun 2020 21:06:50
Maybe the kids won't feel the pressure as much as the established first team members, and with the boundless enthusiasm of youth will sieze any opportunity they are given, and the team will move forward and upwards onto a much higher level, but that won't happen because of the certain undroppable members of the first team,

12.) 04 Jun 2020 19:36:24
Aindoh, who are these certain undroppable members of the first team .
Who amongst the youth would do better if given the chance .

13.) 06 Jun 2020 14:48:05
I think the undroppables he’s thinking of are the likes of Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Griffiths and Edouard. We’ll never know how good the youngsters are if we don’t play them. Perhaps Connell, Soro, Schved, Henderson and Klimala may turn out to be better or more potent players but we’ll never know unless we play them.

Similarly, some posters on this forum may have a more valid argument but we’ll never know until they’re posted.

17 Apr 2020 22:16:30
Doncaster has came out and said a number of our CLUBS could cease to exist. Hmm I thought they can't Die it's the company that ceased to exist.

1.) 18 Apr 2020 07:43:54
😂😂😂👏👏you know the Rangers they like to start a trend 😂😂.

04 Mar 2020 17:30:06
Are the 8 million per year from Adidas rumours true?

1.) 04 Mar 2020 19:13:16
Given how much chat there has been about Adidas as our next shirt manufacturer it wouldn't surprise me if thatvwas the amount. Obviously there are a lot of people involved in this process and it's hard to keep them all quiet. My biggest question is. Where they going to out the stripes without breaking the hoops?! Looking forward to it though NB have been a bit of a let down for me. I think the move to Adidas might actually realise a bit more potential in our sales. I for one have bought far less of the NB gear.

25 Jan 2019 19:59:53
Ed do you think there's any truth in the Robert Gumny rumours?

{Ed007's Note - All I know is that there has been talks with Lech Poznan.}

1.) 25 Jan 2019 21:14:51
I wouldn't be paying 4.5 million for this guy like, is he any better than Ralston? I read somewhere that he is good going forward but a bit suspect defensively.

2.) 25 Jan 2019 22:18:47
Celtic shouldn't be paying £4.5M for a guy based on the fact that you, personally, don't know how good he is?

3.) 25 Jan 2019 22:56:27
Jesus moaning has been constant on this site about not spending then when there is talk of it we get
I wouldn't be paying 4.5 million for this guy like.

4.) 26 Jan 2019 01:57:30
4.5 million spending too much on gamble. Loan deal not spending enough moaning Minnie's would still find something to complain abouut after winning couple million on lottery. I have a friend just like this. its just their way. Not mine but wouldn't it be merda if we all thought the same way. Sevconians are the exception as most dont/ can't think for themselves,

5.) 26 Jan 2019 03:08:02
Ffs even when Celtic are going for a rb there is moaning spend money or not make your mind up the young lad isn't the answer just yet.

6.) 26 Jan 2019 14:11:27
I'm sure he's a good kid and looks like he can whip in a good ball. But he's not a starting 11 regular so £4.5m is a bit much. Can see us getting him for cheaper. Maybe offer them Gamboa and £2m 😋.

7.) 27 Jan 2019 10:25:29
We need a right back to is defensive minded first and if he can attack as well brilliant.

Well time to be an optimist.4-0 To us😂.

10 Jul 2021 00:53:46
Kennedy and Strachan staying as Ange is impressed with the excellent duo! Sounds like forced on him by the board. Looks like we have another yes man in place. The 2 of them should be long gone.

1.) 10 Jul 2021 07:22:35
Kennedy and Strachan should be long long agree with that but saying Big Ange is a yes man baffles me.
Maybe he is impressed with them and looking at Big Ange career he's never been a yes man. Don't think a month at Celtic is going to change that.

2.) 10 Jul 2021 07:49:59
Can’t believe Kennedy is still there. Yes folk have said he’s a great coach etc etc, and yes last season with 8/ 9 games to go he was dealing with the same players and couldn’t do anything in terms of making signings himself etc but in those 8/ 9 games he done nothing to show me he was any different to lennon. Same players played most weeks despite offering nothing. He could’ve played some youth, could’ve gave the likes of barkas, ajeti, soro etc a right proper run of games and said “ right this is a chance over 8/ 9 games for u guys ( especially ajeti and barkas) to save yer Celtic careers, could’ve played wee dembele etc, anything to change the dross we’d watched all season and yet he continued to play the same players the let themselves and the club down all season. As far as I’m concerned it should’ve been a clean slate. Ange should have his own men in place.

3.) 10 Jul 2021 09:53:53
Pud, I pray what you've posted about Lennedy and the 'eternal etch a sketch' is wrong but unfortunately it fits perfectly with the way last season went and how the 'preparations' for the coming season have gone so far.

4.) 10 Jul 2021 10:03:30
So brendan liked JK lenny liked him and now ange likes him, imagine that, he's not there cause he's a nice guy, maybe just maybe theses managers think he can coach and now Strachan.
Maybe if the players hadn't downed tools we'd be sitting on 10iar, you know like griff staying fit yes fit it's his job, eddy sticking away chances he'd put away in his sleep, Christie keeping tbe baw below the celtic end roof. boli no fecking off ona jolly, ajer staying strong and taking one on the chin, ajeti well just train son that's what we pay you for, barkas well Al leave it there, a need a drink 😉.

5.) 10 Jul 2021 10:07:22
garry, I'm not sure what it is you can't believe. If Celtic can find a way to do it on the cheap they will because they know, even after the disaster of last season when we were horsed in every competition, they still have a waiting list for season tickets.

Why would the Celtic board plan ahead, when they could see last November we were p@sh under NL, to line up a top manager, a D. O F. and draw up a list of players that we knew last Summer would be required as Eddy, Ajer, Christie and Ntcham all wanted to leave then?

Why, when they clearly decided not to do any of the above would they bother their ars@s ejecting the Chuckle bros from CP?

08 Jul 2021 13:31:18
I was reading about an Australian podcast saying that Ange wasn't allowed to bring in his own backroom staff. I hope it's a load of crap but it wouldn't surprise me one bit when it comes to our inept Board.

1.) 08 Jul 2021 13:52:25
Careful Pud you wouldn't want to come across as negative 😌.

2.) 08 Jul 2021 17:24:27
I'm not going to say what these guys are reporting is true but if you believe it is you must believe then that both Dom and Ange are already lying to the supporters.
Both have said in the last few weeks that Ange has a blank canvass in regards of who he can and wants to bring in. Ange has also said that he would take a few weeks to see who was buying into his philosophy before he chose who would stay or go.

3.) 08 Jul 2021 17:37:53
Nothing has changed apart from the manager and Mckay. Same Board. No DOF. The same coaching staff. Money not being spent. Griffiths still a basket case. Players still here that want away. You would think that with this years winners getting straight into the Champions league that big money would be available. No doubt waiting to sell before buying. Bolingolis back🤬. Not long to the Champions league qualifier but we are looking at players and dragging our heels which happens every year.

4.) 08 Jul 2021 19:54:16
In hindsight Bolingoli was hung out to dry. When we look at other clubs who had incidents with their playing staff, none of them were punished as setting my as. Bolingoli was. He was basically sent into exile. He made a mistake, plenty of other players have and thousands of ordinary citizens continue do so. We start this season with a clean slate and everyone gets a chance to prove themselves to the new manager, except griff, he’s had enough chances.

02 Jul 2021 15:48:24
Ed what's with the ads? Slippy G's whoring himself for a betting site😂.

{Ed007's Note - The ads are nothing to do with us, Pud.}

24 Jun 2021 14:26:47
Ed with Kennedy and Strachan still here do you reckon Ange will be another Yes man for the board?

{Ed007's Note - He hasn't been in the past, even taking on the Australian FA and getting his way, so I don't see him changing now.}

1.) 24 Jun 2021 15:15:01
Pud. Australians don’t take s##t from anyone they stand up for themselves, if he doesn’t get his own way he won’t hang around.

2.) 24 Jun 2021 15:47:37
Mark, I agree.
I can only assume that the Celtic board will have known what kind of character Ange is and they'll have been aware of him having a track record of standing up for himself.
They hired him with that knowledge and hopefully because of that quality (among others) it perhaps demonstrates their commitment to backing him and adopting a new approach on football matters going forward. HH.

3.) 24 Jun 2021 16:32:47
No choice but back him, we are at a crossroads if we back him and he gets the players he wants hopefully the next few years are fruitful.

4.) 24 Jun 2021 20:27:00
He's clearly going to want to make an impression with his first proper stint in Europe so I'm hoping he has high demands for the board to meet and doesn't let them force him to work on a shoestring budget.

5.) 24 Jun 2021 21:15:34
I personally know a few Australians and they don't suffer fools.

However, I also know our board and outgoing CEO has in the past said one thing and done the opposite, therfore, I'd assume nothing.

Let's look closely at the calibre of the signings that come in and we'll know how much big Ange is being backed 😉.

6.) 25 Jun 2021 07:56:28
That's like saying all Scotsmen are miserable bassas and wear kilts and eat haggis soaked porridge.

He will get as many as he can sold to bump up his bonuses before he goes.10 million for Frimpong 3.8 million Polish paddy 1.7 million Hendry Around 2million each for Bayo and Shved plus the sales of Ajer Eddy and Corpus will fill Pedros and The Boards pockets. We have a chance of Champions league football if we can win the league this season so you would think that it's a great incentive for the board to go big and get some quality brought in.

It's the usual media story's Celtic lose out. Celtic snubbed. Celtic fail. Now it's we will be lucky to make a 5 million profit for Edouard. They still think the columbian thug will get a higher price than Edouard will leave for. Melts the lot of them.

Ed when you see Barkas Welsh Murray Ralston Taylor on the team sheet you know it's going to go horribly wrong.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly, especially against that level of opposition. Serious questions over Barkas, It's sad but Ralston is nowhere near Celtic class, Welsh needs experience next to him and is a great young player imo, Murray is young and needs protection (and experience) next to him and Taylor can do a job at SPFL and hopefully he can learn and improve under Ange but he'll only ever be a squad player for us.
Was anyone actually surprised that defence was torn apart - in a meaningless friendly - or is it just another excuse to have a moan about the exact same thing they were moaning about yesterday?}

Since the Ferencvaros game last year we all knew what was needed was a defence manager and a keeper. That game we had Barkas Jullien Ajer Frimpong Taylor and Elhamed and they couldn't cut it. Calmac Forrest Ntcham Ajer Christie Ajeti Biton Ntcham and Bolongoli were part of the squad.

I tried to go along with the idea of fast free flowing attacking football and the high press. Its all fecking pointless when you haven't got a defence and a goalkeeper! . Goalkeeper 2 Centre Halfs a LB and a RB needed asap.

Here's hoping. Tomorrows backline will give you the fear. Barkas Biton Welsh Ralston and Taylor. I would love them all to have great performances and prove me wrong. Are the away goals rule now scrapped?
