During the transfer window do yous think we will get rid of Bolongoli or give him another season to judge him? We still need a RB as Frimpong isn't a RB and is better being a winge. 2 Centre Halfs if Ajer goes as Bitton isn't the answer stepping in at CH. If we can sign FF and Elyounoussi and keep Edouard we will continually dominate Scottish Football.

1.) 02 Jun 2020 20:56:28
bitton in scotland including against that mob could play with his eyes shut at CH and stroll through it, europe on the other hand is a different matter we definitely need to strengthen at CH, also in my opinion 2 full backs both sides and 2 wingers both sides needed and a keeper.

2.) 03 Jun 2020 01:07:59
Bringing in Forster and keeping Edouard should be the priority. Would be happy with a new CB to challenge Ajer and a LB to fight it out with Taylor.

3.) 03 Jun 2020 09:59:13
Boli might kick on having been here a year and getying to know our game and environment so you never know.

4.) 03 Jun 2020 11:26:11
i like boli just needed a bit more belief in the 18 yard box.
im not sure where he is tho has he been put out to sort his head out where is he.
think lenny has told him to take a while away.
ye big foster great goalie but at price,
and as of moi he was coming into a gd game player then out with injury he did not recapture that in the end.
yes i want the ten in a row but not to break the bank to get it we still need to plan after that so its still groom players get them ready for the break through then sell big,
why would we change this its been working magic so far.

5.) 03 Jun 2020 13:17:30
I’d get rid of boli tbh as he’s been crap. The talk is that Forster will sign on loan again but if Gordon goes we would need a back up. I think we need at least one centre half regardless.

6.) 03 Jun 2020 13:57:58
bit harsh, id have him before taylor.
foster gd goalie but not at £40.0000 weekly id rather we started adding youth team in as there are 5/ 6 crackers there.
get them broke in up and running increase there market value.

7.) 03 Jun 2020 15:02:20
A like the thought of us blooding a few youngsters mate
But ad rather they went out on loan first and got games elsewhere this is a massive season for us and will be full of pressure every single game worse than any before. A lot of teams will be struggling financially so might benefit us getting our kids out and playing first team games elsewhere.

8.) 03 Jun 2020 16:11:11
I thought Bain signed a new deal so I don't see us needing to sign a back up.

9.) 03 Jun 2020 16:37:59
Agree with bigbubs, I think signing forster is absolutely paramount this summer he's nothing short of sensational and if we're going to make any sort of impact in Europe he's got to be between the sticks, just look at his performances this season especially against lazio.
I'd like to see us get him for another year on loan and then signing him next summer for a lower fee when he has a year left on his deal with southampton, wages will be the only stumbling block but the way he speaks I reckon he would be willing to take a hit providing he was the top earner, he's easily got at least another good 5 years in him.

I think bolingoli deserves another chance, I think he just needs a bit of guidance and confidence and a bit of work on the defensive side and he could come onto a real game for us, it doesn't click straight away with every signing but it would be harsh to punt him without giving him another chance to prove himself.

I like bitton but he's definelty not the centre half we need he's more of a backup and a good utility man for centre half and defensive mid, with simunovic away I suspect we'll be in the market for a new centre half, would just love us to have an out and out defender to clear the lines who wouldn't break the bank, jullien can't do it by himself and needs somebody with better defensive skills next to him than ajer.

10.) 03 Jun 2020 20:27:13
Ye markm88
Forgot about button.
I was saying earlier just a thought from me tho.
What if
Ajer, bayo rogic ntcham frencheddy IV probly missed a few but if the price is right they leave. This leaves us light in numbers
So trust in scouting system and the youth system
yes gd call put them out on loan then they could be ready plus we get to see them. But they don't trained the same way Celtic would train them hmmmmm I'm done lols.

11.) 03 Jun 2020 21:06:50
Maybe the kids won't feel the pressure as much as the established first team members, and with the boundless enthusiasm of youth will sieze any opportunity they are given, and the team will move forward and upwards onto a much higher level, but that won't happen because of the certain undroppable members of the first team,

12.) 04 Jun 2020 19:36:24
Aindoh, who are these certain undroppable members of the first team .
Who amongst the youth would do better if given the chance .

13.) 06 Jun 2020 14:48:05
I think the undroppables he’s thinking of are the likes of Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Griffiths and Edouard. We’ll never know how good the youngsters are if we don’t play them. Perhaps Connell, Soro, Schved, Henderson and Klimala may turn out to be better or more potent players but we’ll never know unless we play them.

Similarly, some posters on this forum may have a more valid argument but we’ll never know until they’re posted.

Doncaster has came out and said a number of our CLUBS could cease to exist. Hmm I thought they can't Die it's the company that ceased to exist.

1.) 18 Apr 2020 07:43:54
😂😂😂👏👏you know the Rangers they like to start a trend 😂😂.

04 Mar 2020 17:30:06
Are the 8 million per year from Adidas rumours true?

1.) 04 Mar 2020 19:13:16
Given how much chat there has been about Adidas as our next shirt manufacturer it wouldn't surprise me if thatvwas the amount. Obviously there are a lot of people involved in this process and it's hard to keep them all quiet. My biggest question is. Where they going to out the stripes without breaking the hoops?! Looking forward to it though NB have been a bit of a let down for me. I think the move to Adidas might actually realise a bit more potential in our sales. I for one have bought far less of the NB gear.

25 Jan 2019 19:59:53
Ed do you think there's any truth in the Robert Gumny rumours?

{Ed007's Note - All I know is that there has been talks with Lech Poznan.}

1.) 25 Jan 2019 21:14:51
I wouldn't be paying 4.5 million for this guy like, is he any better than Ralston? I read somewhere that he is good going forward but a bit suspect defensively.

2.) 25 Jan 2019 22:18:47
Celtic shouldn't be paying £4.5M for a guy based on the fact that you, personally, don't know how good he is?

3.) 25 Jan 2019 22:56:27
Jesus moaning has been constant on this site about not spending then when there is talk of it we get
I wouldn't be paying 4.5 million for this guy like.

4.) 26 Jan 2019 01:57:30
4.5 million spending too much on gamble. Loan deal not spending enough moaning Minnie's would still find something to complain abouut after winning couple million on lottery. I have a friend just like this. its just their way. Not mine but wouldn't it be merda if we all thought the same way. Sevconians are the exception as most dont/ can't think for themselves,

5.) 26 Jan 2019 03:08:02
Ffs even when Celtic are going for a rb there is moaning spend money or not make your mind up the young lad isn't the answer just yet.

6.) 26 Jan 2019 14:11:27
I'm sure he's a good kid and looks like he can whip in a good ball. But he's not a starting 11 regular so £4.5m is a bit much. Can see us getting him for cheaper. Maybe offer them Gamboa and £2m 😋.

7.) 27 Jan 2019 10:25:29
We need a right back to is defensive minded first and if he can attack as well brilliant.

18 Jan 2019 22:31:04
The way Brendan is talking we won't be getting any quality signings. Loan after loan and signing guys like Hayes Mulumbu Hendry. I understand getting young players in and nurturing them but it's time to spend on a few quality experienced players. We got 7 million for Armstrong and 7 for the VVD sell on clause.

20 million for Dembele. Talk of 14 million for Ntcham. It cost around 9 million for the 4 of them.39 million is an outstanding peice of business that will earn the board and shareholders plenty along with bonuses.

This will be like the last window will be like the last and the summer - Underwhelming is an understatement!

1.) 19 Jan 2019 10:05:21
See to be honest I can see the the way the club are doing it, we have players like Boyata, Gamboa, lustig, Mulumbu, kouassi, Benkovic all on decent wages at the club plus more that aren’t playing. The numbers need to be cut down then it’s makes more sense to bring players in. With Boyata and Benkovic there until the summer it makes non sense to then pay 2-3million in a centre back until there are both away. I genuinely think we will recruit the quality needed to win the league. Use rangers for a example, they will have a huge wage bill considering there financial circumstances and they have around 10 centre midfield players. We don’t want to be in that position.

2.) 19 Jan 2019 10:53:43
We will hopefully get an experienced right back in and that should be enough for the remainder of the season. Re-build in the summer and unfortunatley risk crashing out of the CL qualifiers.

I also fully expect Ntcham to go on deadline day with no chance of getting another player in. 14mil for the rainy day fund, with no chance of Lawell ever seeing rain.

We are playing russian roulette now guys. If and its a big IF they win the league this year and somehow manage to qualify for the Champions league we will be humiliated. Every chance in the world to put them to the sword once and for all this window. They are paying massive amounts of money trying to stop our bid for 10. Massive amounts of money that will kill them again if we win the league this year. We should be ensuring there demise again. NOT letting them back in.

3.) 19 Jan 2019 11:09:17
Well said Craigwylie. Too many pantywetters on here these days.

4.) 19 Jan 2019 12:28:04
The club has been stock-piling players for too long with very few making the grade or showing any improvement or reliability.
Therefore, we just can't keep adding to a squad that is far too big and expensive to maintain, with little chance of profit or success.
De Vries, Gamboa, Hendry, Compper, Hayes, Eboue, Benyu, Izzaguire, Aitchison, Mulumbu and even Morgan have all failed to displace any of their counterparts for any length of time or establish themselves.

These players apart; Our current squad has cover for every position even allowing for injured and absent players like Griff, Arzani and Rogic. (Allen earmarked for Hibs) .
Gordon/ Bain Lustig/ Ralston Ajer/ Boyata Benkovic/ Simunovic KT/ Miller Forrest/ Johnston Brown/ Ntcham Bitton/ Cal-Mac Christie/ Burke Sinky/ Weah Edouarde/ Bayo

This is why we need to sell, sell, sell - before we buy and there are still nearly two weeks of the window to go.

5.) 19 Jan 2019 16:54:41
Maybe if we bought some first team ready quality, we wouldn’t need all the “potential “ that’s bulking the squad. It could actually save money too.

6.) 19 Jan 2019 17:19:55
I am a romantic and I love stories like 11 bhoys born within spitting distance of paradise lift the european cup or ten men win the league or the invincibles or double treble winners etc. We are living the dream. That said I agree totally that this is not "Wonderland" and hard facts dictate that we need to sell as we have too big a squad and it needs to be reduced above all moving on those who have little or no chance to play for us but of course there is a problem as some prefer to take the wages we give and not play than move on.
It's true we can't stockpile players but neither can we break our pay structure for marquee signings or indeed we risk everything . let's just win the leaggue etc the Celtic way and not be the eternal gamblers like Sevco who are putting all their trust in an old man to score lots of goals so as to overtake our goal difference advantage etc.

7.) 19 Jan 2019 20:39:55
Chasaboy quality costs money and quality don't want to play in Scotland, Cardiff City have just offered £18 million for a Nantes player yes Cardiff how can we compete with that and the wages he will be offered. oldkilly.

8.) 19 Jan 2019 20:50:11
Well said Donjim. I think it’s quite possible that the biggest issue we have is finding players who are willing to sign, who are good enough to make us better. Therefore we need to keep what we’ve got till we can bring them in and if we do, then we start offloading one or two. Alternatively, we may have several players developing who will break through in the next year or two, who look better than the level of player we can realistically attract. The strategy then would be to run down the squad players’ contracts and the development players take their place. I’m confident that BR and Pedro want to invest to improve but they’re not willing to invest in rubbish just to appease the pantywetters and the Scottish media. Ultimately, we will not allow the media, the fans or Sevco to dictate how we plan or how we budget to execute those plans and that’s why we will continue to succeed.

9.) 21 Jan 2019 14:09:31
VVD, Wanyama, Moussa all played here, so we can get them, but not for a ten bob postal order. That’s our problem. When Rogers stated we won’t even go to £4m I think we all knew feck all real quality was coming anywhere near us.

Another window where our gaping wound defence is not even addressed and we are back to square one in the summer. If anybody is trying to push the, we will sort it in the summer rubbish, please don’t. Have we not been here before? Or is it just a panty wetting conspiracy that we never fecking learn? I think the evidence is there that after three years and jack rubbish being done we need a change of strategy that includes spending some of the bonus pot on players.

On Sparta Pragues Twitter they have asked the guy that scored 5 against us to give up being an electrician as your pretty good at football pal! I wish someone would pull the plug on Lennon and the backroom staff ASAP.

26 Nov 2020 17:40:18
With big Julien back the Defence should be more solid alongside Ajer. Elhamed and Laxalt gives s good back 4 Here's hoping for a good performance to put a smile back on our faces. I can't believe there are actual fans out there who want ius to lose hoping Lennon is sacked utterr🤡🤡s.

1.) 26 Nov 2020 17:52:21
Well said Pud. 👍.

2.) 26 Nov 2020 18:00:00
Anybody that wants Celtic to lose should head over to Govan with their season ticket money next year.

3.) 26 Nov 2020 18:43:35
Pud, you would think we would be tighter but unfortunately we are all over the place . Shambolic again.

4.) 26 Nov 2020 18:53:57
Its definitely a coaching issue and has been all season. The only way out this mess is a new manager and coaching team.

Surely he will walk tomorrow.

5.) 26 Nov 2020 18:55:16
It’s at the point now that we know we need to score 3 to have any chance of winning a game. Defending is criminal all over the park.

6.) 26 Nov 2020 19:14:20
Makes you wonder if defence was actually this bad last season and Forster saved us more than we realise.

7.) 26 Nov 2020 19:49:46
I wonder if Lennon will still be spouting the usual pish about the performances being good. I'd rather scratch my eyes out than continue watching this rubbish week in week out under Lennon.

Years ago the family got me a framed photo of Henrik celebrating after scoring and Mike McCurry was in the background with the very same glassy stare of utter contempt. The more things change the more they stay the same - Keep it up Celts.

2.) 18 Nov 2020 15:35:39
The best one was the ref at tannadice that got caught lying can't remember his name.

3.) 18 Nov 2020 16:32:10
Mally it was Dougie McDonald the same ref who booked Boughera after 7or 8 minutes then warned him the same amount of times for worse fouls .

4.) 18 Nov 2020 17:14:51
Who are these two angry officials?

We were all celebrating The Treble Treble and Lawell appointed NL which put many in a downer. Before he came back he lost about 8 out of 10 for Hibs. Lawell has wasted millions with his input into transfers. He shouldn't be anywhere near the footballing side of things. Time for a complete overhaul. Many of us had said "The only thing that will stop 10 in a row is Celtic". Thank god that wasn't a league game and we list more points. If the players get their acts together there is a good team among them who will win us the League. We will get gubbed by Milan on Thursday but hopefully with a bit of fight from them. Then go on an unbeaten run right up till Sevco game.

Along with Lawell. A Director of Football should be brought in but god knows who. The players are at fault but Lennon will take all the Flack alongside Lawell. The young team are outside the stadium going bonkers. Cue all the Daily Rags with C.V. story's blah blah blah. It shows how bad we have become when I'm not even bothered and expect the worst every game.

Radio Snyde has always been pro sevco when you listen and look at the pundits over the years. Fat Johnstone, Alex Rae, Gordon Dalziel, Andy Little, Andy Halliday and the token Tim Wilson. Even the presenter guy proclaims to be a Motherwell fan but the mask slips when it's a free for all against Celtic. The currents even think Ned Flanders is one of us😂.
