Do you know anything about this meeting Lawwell had with the UEFA guys yesterday? I wonder what that was all about?

TheBhoyWander

1.) 16 Feb 2019 08:54:23
Probably a lot less sinister than you would like it to be.
We were beaten.
End of. HH.

2.) 16 Feb 2019 13:55:07
I'm not sure I get what you mean by "as sinister as I would hope". I haven't thought anything sinister about it. More hopeful that they may have been discussing some sort of new European competition, with us being involved, or something similar. Nothing sinister.

3.) 16 Feb 2019 18:33:43
Maybe about hosting a final.

4.) 16 Feb 2019 23:30:57
Ah yeah, that's a possibility I hadn't thought about. That'd be great for the club if it was that.

Good to see Simunovic, Arazani, Elhamed and Elyounoussi all back training. Along with Shved that's a fair talented bunch to add to the quality of the squad. Couple of quality sigings or loans to push us on and we'll be fine. Here's a question though, does anyone think Arzani and/ or Shved might be about to surprise us and push for a place? I liked the look of Shved when we signed him anyway, and was he not the Ukrainian teams player of the year or something? He's got something to offer, surely.

TheBhoyWander

{Ed007's Note - Shved's problems seem to be his attitude & work-rate in training are not impressing the manager or coaches.}

1.) 06 Jan 2020 15:19:59
Disappointing to hear that. I was looking forward to him settling in and getting up and running.

{Ed007's Note - A stiff talking to - the proverbial boot up the backside - would probably help Shved a lot more than the mollycoddling, arm round the shoulder approach that he's been getting so far.}

2.) 06 Jan 2020 17:03:51
If that's the case then I agree Ed. Likewise with Mally down the page. It's a step up for him. Roll your sleeves up and make it. I'm sure his wage will be a step up too. Start earning it.

3.) 06 Jan 2020 17:28:13
Aw that is sad to hear Ed. I wasn't aware of that. Hopefully he straightens himself out and uses his talent to it's potential, and doesn't go wasting it like so many other young players we could mention.

{Ed007's Note - When he first came in the feeling was that Shved was just a bit homesick and taking his time to settle in Scotland - the same thing that happened when he joined Sevilla at 18 - but he's 22 coming up on 23 and needs to start acting more professionally in his approach to training.}

4.) 06 Jan 2020 20:30:52
Aye I suppose this is a real turning point for him then at this stage of his career. he's not a kid so time to step up or fall flat. I do hope he can find som of the form he was showing in Ukraine though. For our sake and his.

Does anyone know where I can see highlights and goals from last night's game? All I can find is fans view camera phone stuff and post match interviews.

TheBhoyWander

1.) 26 Sep 2019 11:03:54
Yeah I'm the same mate if I find a link I'll post it. Best one I found was some kid on you tube who done pretty good quality for full highlights but obviously went for a pie at half time and missed the Tom rogic goal.

2.) 26 Sep 2019 14:50:32
If your on twitter mate ul get the goals on there, not exactly hd but decent. Ed can I post a link or is it only u who can do that? Ntchams first is an absolute peach.

{Ed007's Note - You should be able to post one, Steph but take the http bit out of it.}

3.) 26 Sep 2019 15:13:48
I don't have Twitter Steph, so could you please post a link? Thanks and thanks Ed too.

{Ed007's Note - I'll embed them all on the "Match Posts" section, Steph πŸ‘

5.) 26 Sep 2019 17:08:43
Sent all 5 or at least tried to πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Cheers ed.

Not a rumour but I've got a feeling that Celtic are about to pull a marquee signing out of nowhere and steal tomorrow's headlines. Call it wishful thinking if you like, but I think there's something going on and it'll be announced at just the right time.

TheBhoyWander

1.) 30 Aug 2019 13:50:33
That’s a bold statement hope your ready for a big disappointment The Bhoywander.

2.) 30 Aug 2019 13:52:08
Bhoy wonder if they done it at the start of the window it would pay for itself because wee would make the cl every year wee gamble with cl qualification by not getting the right players in early wee make a rod for our own back.

3.) 30 Aug 2019 14:08:40
And to be fair julien is a bit of a marquee signing 7 million is a lot of wonga the big mans going from strength to strength and at just the right time wee need 11 lions 🦁 out there on Sunday πŸ€.

4.) 30 Aug 2019 14:09:47
Unless we are having our next AGM on Celtic park. There will be no headlines with the word Marquee involving Celtic.

5.) 30 Aug 2019 14:44:32
I'm a wee bit concerned we actually lose a player as well as European clubs may chance their arm in the closing days?

6.) 30 Aug 2019 14:53:59
Mate no one will leave this window.

7.) 30 Aug 2019 15:05:39
Well, we will find out if my feeling is right very soon gentlemen. I live in hope. I always try to be a glass half full kinda guy.

8.) 30 Aug 2019 15:28:49
Wee already lost the crown they can’t now kick us in the duels.

Does anyone know why Scott Sinclair was going tonto at the Motherwell linesman yesterday? He obviously said something to upset him. Reading about it there and it would seem it's not the first time the pair have had a run in. Perhaps just sour grapes at a sound pumping?

TheBhoyWander

1.) 11 Aug 2019 12:09:00
I meant to say groundsman, not linesman.

2.) 11 Aug 2019 13:57:19
Apparently the groundsman was baiting him cos Morgan is getting a game before himπŸ˜†.

3.) 11 Aug 2019 14:58:07
I can't see that being the case malkybhoy. Surely a seasoned pro like Sinclair wouldn't rise to that sort of thing. He looked furious!

4.) 11 Aug 2019 15:23:24
He was angry because he was told to get off the pitch whilst on his phone from the Motherwell groundsman .

5.) 11 Aug 2019 18:56:53
I read the account of the lady involved on Twitter. He had just finished a warm down on the pitch with the rest of the team amd took time to have his photo taken with her son and was walking away to leave. Why would he then be told to get off the pitch, and why react like that? Weird.

Surely we'll get good money for him from a pub league team like them though? If it's reinvested in the team then I'd be happy to see him go. His shooting is terrible and his decision making is just as bad sometimes. I've never understood the hype with him. Totally overated, imo. Couple of decent games maybe, but I would have bitten Porto's hand of last year for the Β£14m on offer.

Aye I just read that there Kev. That sure is an interesting one that. Big club, big money being spoken about and we've just signed Klimala with time to sign another if needed. Β£10m-12m? Would anyone be tempted to cash in on him?

@Dander, yes his form may have dipped a little but the man's stats over the last few seasons speak for themselves. If a guy with his stats and ability can't even make our bench ahead of untried and inconsistent youngsters then something stinks, in my opinion. He's not out the team because he isn't good enough. There's more too this.

There's no way that will happen. We'd have to pay his remaining salary if we released him. Scott's not going to walk away from that money, and why should he? He's being treated terribly and I wouldn't expect him to do us any favours.

Jinky mate, are you related to saint Brendan or something? You're fairly fighting his corner anyway. But the facts remain. No one can argue with his achievements, but the way he conducted himself when he left was appalling, and for that he'll never be held in the same regard as the greats. because he's nothing but a rat. A rat who won trophies, but a rat none the less. Good riddance.
