Are we facing numerous fake news about players we are linked to, so that the players we sign will seen to be disappointments .
Surely the transfer window won’t be all joy for Celtic fans and there will have to be blame and criticism of our Board whether it is manufactured by SMSM or lack of proper signings by Board.

English teams (like Southampton) know we are a great source of 'cheap' talent that they can profit on in the long run.
Our location, utter domination of the SPL and very poor European standing doesn't help us get proper valuations.

All just made up rumour, no deal or even discussions had between him and us apparently.
Hopefully next week things will become clearer as to who we are after and which areas we are focusing on improving.
I want a keeper, experienced CB, LB and striker. Not a huge list but a strong spine is essential and support for GT is also essential.
I think we have so much potential on the wings and if we don't get anyone new in those positions, but strengthen as I already mentioned, I'll be happy enough.
I am trying to be realistic, knowing how our recruitment process works but a poor window will effect our CL chances and we also have no idea how their new players will perform.
None of the ones I have seen worry me but like last season it was our performances that was the worry, we lowered our standards to theirs and we cannot do that again.
If we do not improve, CL performances will just get poorer and it will get harder and harder to simply qualify. That is unacceptable for me.
I for one just don't want to continually win the SPFL, I want big CL nights at Celtic Park where big teams come and are intimidated by the crowd and the team.
If we don't move forward, we stand still and eventually we will succumb to negative forces that are the SFA and SPFL and we could, hard to believe I know, see them at some point get their act together.
Having watched some Euros games, there are very good players around Europe at so called smaller leagues. Some very good midfielders in the Slovakian team last night, who wouldn't cost the earth and old improve us, so it is up to BR amd is team to extend the gap.

Hopefully despite the probability that we haven’t had a Head of Recruitment settled into his position so far, it doesn’t stop Celtic having a good transfer window.
I wonder before the window do the relevant parities sit down and go through all the team positions and decide who is responsible for filling each position or is the club in an agreement that we have sufficient strength in certain positions to go with whatever We have. We can buy enough. players with ability to continue ruling roast domestically, but making a marked improvement in Europe is a different story and that is why we must develop our own youth or buy in projects and give them every opportunity to develop into top class young players.
Despite our recent great improvement in Financial Position we are far away from the ability to make a major input in European Football.

To be honest our youth system is fairly poor for producing first team players, surely we should be looking to get the best youth coaches in and not jobs for the boys . Our set up has about 4 ex players running it, they surely aren’t the best we can get .

I would imagine all the clubs that finished above Celtic hadn’t loaned a team or more out all round the UK and beyond to “fatten” them up for for ist team football with Celtic or more likely to help them to find a club other than Celtic to continue their football careers .
I get the impression that loaning out players is very popular with many supporters, however the more young players are loaned out the more difficult or maybe impossible it is for Celtic B team
I welcome Johnny Hayes to a member of our coaching team, although some fans seem to think that ex players or people who are fond of club can’t be any good.

On the matter of the B team, If we have any decent young players at the club then they shouldn't be anywhere near the B team. Any player that we think has even a slight chance of reaching the first team in the next 2 or 3 years should be out on loan to another club in the SPL or the English championship to get them ready for playing regular first team football.
Why would we have good young players playing in the 5th tier of Scottish football where they will get nowhere near the experience they need and could be kicked off the park with some part-time thug.

Don’t know that he won’t be any good, it’s just that there must be better, more experienced out there, but did we look? We are always going on about nepotism and internal appointments that stop us moving forward, this seems a similar Celtic connection type. Wish him well but not exactly forward thinking. Why not just makeJames McCarthy the youth coach, already paying him for heehaw and he probably knows them all.

What Under 18s manager would you have chosen, name another Under 18s manager at ANY club?
The lads on the Discord didn't know who our previous Under 18s manger was either without Googling it.
Talk about a feckin' mountain out a molehill, ffs people wanted Scott Brown to get job in the dugout when he retired, they wanted to replace Stevie Woods with Joe Hart and folk are losing the plot over SJH managing one of our schoolkids team.
How would you go about looking for an Under 18s manager? Do you think any coach worth their salt is going to uproot him and his family to manage Celtic's Under 18s?

One of the things that I notice is that when the Celtic Board have a number of options to fill a position . Some with an unpronounceable foreign name who happens to have back page coverage in Daily Record and another from these islands who is plodding along doing a decent job .
When Celtic give position to local man, , our fans are up in arms skin flint Celtic Board . The fact that the local appointee does a very good job and the foreigner is never heard tell of again, is forgotten and Celtic Board always appoints the cheap flint continues.
Most of the Board if not all want Celtic to succeed, the fact that they don’t make the same choices as some on here, doesn’t mean they don’t want to succeed or that either side is wrong . We can all get it right in hindsight.

To many of us expect the usual rinse and repeat transfer window. We tried to sign so and so, plates spinning, work behind the scenes etc. No excuses this time so the quality required must be for GK, CH, Midfield enforcer, LB,2 strikers for starters. RB needs an upgrade as well.
