Well, it looks like Idah is the target. I'm always optimistic that Celtic have done their homework correctly and we will have a fan's favourite. However, I also respect Chris Sutton as a man in the know and a good judge of players. Chris is underwhelmed by the news.

I'd tend to agree, given big Sutton played that role and Norwich was his first club, he'll know more than most.
I just hope that when called upon, this lad does the business, whether goes scored or created.

We have seen some really good goalkeepers so far in the Euros, don't know if we could afford or entice any of the best, perhaps we'll do some business yet?

regarding Rocco Vata, I do not recall ever reading or hearing anything positive about his future with us.
Always seems to be reluctant to commit to contract with Celtic. I wonder why?

Hes got heaps of potential but seems like he thinks he's better than he is. Maybe bad advisors in his ear. His contract has never been close to being agreed as he expects 1st team football.

Barcelona give a platform to their youth players, we as fans would panic at the gamble but if they have the potential give them a chance or lose them, but surely these lads should be fast tracked on loans to other spl clubs not playing celtic b team football.

I imagine Celtic transfer gurus were relieved they had not jumped in early on a Tierney deal. The lad has been unlucky at times, but also I think his body has taken a load of punishment as an Arsenal defender.

I would be very disappointed if Celtic were guilty of selling damaged goods, even more so if we tried to camouflage goods damaged by deliberate over use of best asset result In him not able to play in the EPL .
I have no doubt Arsenal would have put him the most strenuous of pre-signing medical and it beggars believe that Celtic could repair a damaged body well enough to fool the medical .
We have to accept K Tierney was of sound body when he left Celtic.
Whether he was of sound mind is something we can leave until another time.

I still fancy that Dons striker Miovski would do well with us. We always seem reluctant to pay SPL teams their players worth. We know he makes a bee line for the opposition goal and we know he can score.

There are bound to be plenty of fish in the sea, the most important thing is to sign a striker that settles down well and scores regularly from the chances he gets . It’s extremely difficult to know whether a striker from a foreign league is able to, adapt and kept up his scoring rate when he plays for Celtic against packed defences, for that reason it is difficult to look beyond Idah who we have had a good luck at . He also processes what Billie Mc Neil regularly spoke about, , he is Celtic minded.

DontLookBack- I'm not sure why he's more "accomplished" option the Idah. He has played well against us and them. But the game against killie, added to cup final goal, last minute winners, last minute pens, I don't see what he's done to be more accomplished than that. Million miles better than Oh for def.

Idah has scored on 2 glasgow derby's one being the winner in a cup final. how anybody thinks miovski is more accomplished playing in a less pressurised environment is beyond me.

Billie McNeill was highly thought not only as a centre half and captain and twice as a Manager . One thing that Billie said often was that he always looked for Celtic minded players. I think he mean’t players with a love for Celtic . Idah certainly looked a different player, a player playing with more hunger playing for Celtic compared to Norwich .

Wee Joe - Agree 100%, kids, young want to bees have never had it better. They get professional coaching, best of equipment, and they can watch how the best in the world do it on their phones. Yet when we watch grass roots Scottish football it can be cringeworthy. A huge determined effort by the SFA is required to get our youngsters on the right path.

Mally, I just made that very remark to my mates, I've also watched every game and all the defeated teams at least competed. We were so unbelievably abysmal. What is the point of being there if we just look like chumps. Half the world tunes in to watch a German practice session.
