The latest Gk to be linked is 25year old Mark Travers from Bournmouth. Has played 77 games for them incl 19 in the PL.
Has acted mainly as bournmouths backup keeper last season.
Has also been capped a few times for ireland.
Hes a pretty decent keeper but with bournmouth reportedly wanting 10m i can't see this move happening.

We have apparently bid E8m for Livakovic of fenerbahce. We were in for him 12 months ago but ended up in turkey.

Latest talk is Oh could be off to genk for 3.5m.
If we get that even in installments would be great business. Oh has potential and needs game time. Too much pressure at celtic to give him enough game time. His gpm played is actually very good.

Haksabanovic linked with parma for around 3m also. If we could get that again great business.

Lagerbielke also linked with move to italy with lecce albiet on loan.

Legia are interested in re signing nawrocki. Most likely on loan.

Mikey J has an asking price of 6m which i think is a bit over the top. Although 6m is nothing to english clubs even in the championship. Id bite your hand off for 3m never mind 6.
If all the dead wood is moved on we could get 20-30m back which is incredible really considering the dross we will be trying to flog.

On incomings it still seems quite quiet.
All i have come across is vindahl jensen from sparta prague.
Adamo Nagalo from midjaelland
And Flavius Daniliuc. An austrian CB
I don't know anything about any of them.

Also 8 million for Abada.
About 7 million if Frimpong gets a move. Plenty cash to get in the quality that BR wants not projects!

2.) 13 Jun 2024 18:26:47
4m for oh stick another couple of mill on that and get idah.

3.) 13 Jun 2024 18:55:49
DerryTim. Oh has potential? I musta missed that game.

4.) 13 Jun 2024 19:42:59
Oh is an unusual one. He has never really had a chance or a run of games but in spite of this he has scored a goal every 109 minutes on average. Considering he has only started 7 games it’s not the worst reading. I hope he goes on to have an excellent career.

{Ed007's Note - He'll end up a £20m player in 2 years - I hope Daddy Lawell has included a sell-on clause ??

5.) 13 Jun 2024 20:39:26
lol I think that was another post praising Lawwel for the deal!

{Ed007's Note - Well if he's still running the show he's doing a great job just now, even better than he done when he was CEO. It's still a worry how Pedro will get into the SPFL board meetings to tell Nicholson what to say/do but I'm sure the Controller Emeritus of the Unseen Fenian Hand will have a cunning plan.}

6.) 13 Jun 2024 22:14:49
Am actually upset that Oh is leaving on a permanent tbh.
I have been a fan of his since he arrived. For the amount of game time he's had his goal rate is good. I really believe there is a player there and we will be kicking ourselves in a few years time.

7.) 14 Jun 2024 00:44:02
I really like Oh and personally I think he has the potential to be a better striker/ No.9 than Kyogo, I think once he calms down a bit he will do the business. I wish him all the best when he goes as he give his all in a hoops shirt.

8.) 14 Jun 2024 15:41:35
Oh has been here a year and a half and hasn’t been good enough or he would have started more games . I think we have done well if we get 4m for him as he is nowhere near good enough.

Latest rumour we are after israeli GK peretz from munich.
I think the fact he is israeli shuts this down straight away. I don't think the club are silly enough to target israelis at this moment in time and for that matter i don't think an israeli would come anywhere near us either.

DerryTim

1.) 03 Jun 2024 12:55:40
Derry Tim, Israeli goalkeeper may be as much against the mass murder of innocent Palestinians as you or me . Should over-all goal keeping ability and the ease that he is likely to fit into dressing room, not be more important criteria, rather than his Nationality.

{Ed007's Note - There's pictures of Peretz waving an Israeli flag so I think that lets you know his political stance. The reason this move won't happen is the same reason why Abada left, the pressure from Israel.

2.) 03 Jun 2024 18:01:02
I'll get battered for this but if I was an ordinary Jew, I think I'd give Celtic a miss.

{Ed007's Note - It isn't about religion mate, Zionism isn't a religion it is political ideal akin to Hitler's Nazi party.}

3.) 03 Jun 2024 21:32:49
I agree the killing in Palestine is horrible. It's a football site so I'll limit what I'm about to say to 2 sentences. The root of this horrible conflict is found late in the book of Numbers and 1 Kings of the bible. Basically the infant country Israel mucked up big style what God told them to do and as a result, almost constant conflict in the area has ensued. I appreciate this will not be included in many people's worldview and I respect that but the Old Testament is full of the conflict as a result of the Jews disobedience.

4.) 04 Jun 2024 23:32:56
The Zionists daily treatment of individuals from other faiths, including Christians, is disgusting.

What goes around, comes around.

5.) 05 Jun 2024 00:27:08
I don’t want him at any price.

6.) 09 Jun 2024 19:54:24
Why no mention of angus Gunn.

20 May 2024 00:18:23
Rumours we are interested in matheus saldanha forward from serbia
Arijanet muric gk from burley and darius olaru midfielder from romania.
Dont know much about any of them.

DerryTim

1.) 20 May 2024 10:06:56
Well it is the start of the funny season. a feel your pain ed ??.

{Ed007's Note - ?

2.) 20 May 2024 21:29:22
I feel like we've definitely been linked with the guy Olaru previously. The name seems familiar.

3.) 26 May 2024 09:09:37
It fills me with excitement that Celtic are broadening their horizons in the areas in which we are searching for new players. It’s best way to unearth another Lubo, Boruc and Balde etc.

This is a pretty good read regarding Scottish football struggling to produce players just now and why and why youngsters are not getting game time.

With a lot of talk on here and in the media about ex players returning im just curious to see if anyone would complain if this was our starting 11 on the opening day of the season.
A bit of banter obviously

forster
johnston ccv vvd tierney
wanyama ajer oriley
edouard dembele jota

What a team that would have been if they were all celts together at their peak.
Would cause problems for any team.

DerryTim

1.) 08 Jun 2024 12:52:56
Invincibles Mk II

As for the shirt sales ?

☘️ ? ☘️.

2.) 08 Jun 2024 14:09:43
I'd complain, playing a defender in midfield instead of calmac.

{Ed007's Note - I'd have Ajer alongside VVD before CCV.}

3.) 08 Jun 2024 16:13:21
Is there any truth in the tierney or Jota rumours?

4.) 08 Jun 2024 18:57:59
Ajer was better at RB.

5.) 08 Jun 2024 20:05:27
Ajer is a good player but not in a month of Sundays would I start him before CCV. Him and VVD would barely concede a goal. Both stroll it in scotland.

{Ed007's Note - So who's been playing in the Pub League and who is seen as not good/tall enough to play in that league? You don't blame one of our CB's for the amount of goals we concede from crosses? Celtic are the biggest club CCV will ever play for, he's not really rated outside Scotland, he's poor in the air and is easily outmuscled by physical strikers.

6.) 08 Jun 2024 22:24:51
I’m a fan and personally think he’s been the best CB since VVD. I also like Ajer but think CCV’s reading of the game is excellent. The composure and leadership he brings to the team when playing is sorely missed when he is not available. When McGregor was out injured it didn’t have the same impact on the team. Personally I think CCV is the fulcrum of this current teams success.

7.) 08 Jun 2024 22:58:09
I like CCV as he is a decent player but I'll tell you he is nowhere near as good as some Celtic fans seem to think he is, I've read some Celtic fans saying he is worth 20m some saying 30m. We wouldn't get anywhere near that for him, in my opinion we could get about 10m tops for him if we were lucky.

8.) 08 Jun 2024 23:45:45
I would complain as I don't want Forster back.
He was great when he was here before but we need a younger keeper that we can build the defence around for the next 4 or 5 years and yes we brought Hart in when he was 34 but Forster is 36 and hardly played in 3 years.

9.) 09 Jun 2024 03:08:18
That’s a great debate between CCV and Ajer because they are both brilliant players.

I would probably favour CCV.
I don’t agree he is easily outmuscled by anyone because that’s his main attribute.

10.) 09 Jun 2024 13:24:59
Ajer has far bigger skill set than CCV. Him beside VVD would rip it up.

11.) 09 Jun 2024 19:16:08
Ajer is a big lad but he also wasn't very good in the air. Was good with ball at his feet but he wasn't quick either imo.

I just think CCV reads the game better but I think going forward with the ball at his feet, Ajer is better.

Neither get anywhere near to VVD, he really was a Rolls Royce.

04 Jun 2024 10:22:56
A Celt that's currently out on loan and quietly making progress is Johnny Kenny. As someone who follows LOI football he is still very highly rated in Irish football circles. he's still only 20 and will probably feature for ireland u21s against england tomorrow. 8 goals in 17 apps for shamrock rovers with a goal every 118min. Still a bit off Our 1st team but i think he could be ready for a step up when his loan expires in november. Possibly another loan.

Bosun lawal has been called up to the ireland senior squad. This boy has a big future. Im hoping we sign an experienced dm like ndidi with lawal back up. Very similar style of player to wanyama.

DerryTim

1.) 04 Jun 2024 05:03:29
There is no denying his physical prowess but when he last played for us I didn't rate him.

Saying that he may have developed since then. I know Rodgers intends to assess him in pre season. If I were him I would work my bollocks off, starting now, so I hit the ground running when pre- season starts. The fitter you are, the better you perform.

2.) 04 Jun 2024 08:24:09
He was very raw ang sometimes clumsy at CB . but sinceoving into midfield he seems to have developed.

3.) 04 Jun 2024 08:54:49
Might have a nosy tonight he's definitely a midfielder looked suspect at cb but he got rave reviews at fleetwood playing in the middle and ges a unit. hopefully gets a chance kre season.

4.) 04 Jun 2024 11:56:41
He was a midfielder at Watford before joining us.

5.) 04 Jun 2024 12:57:02
Imagine 60k Celtic fans supporting a Lawal .
We seen him a few years ago on TV, I think it was Glasgow Cup final against them, he was clumsy and awkward but he was just returning from quite a long spell out injured .

6.) 05 Jun 2024 21:11:01
Bosun L wasn’t in in the squad last night against Hungary, he was invited to join Ireland training when another midfielder had cried off injured but wasn’t a member of ROI squad.

30 May 2024 09:52:09
I wouldn't mind keeping an eye on Troy Parrotts situation.
Hes had a stand out season in eredivisie with a struggling Excelsior side. Ajax and some bundesliga clubs are reportedly following him. Postecoglu is apparantly looking to check him out pre season before any decision on his future is made. He has 12months left on his spurs contract.
His case is similar to idahs where they have finally started to build on their early potential. Both played a lot despite their young age. Parrott is 22 with idah 23.
Parrott hit 13 goals and 4 assists averaging a goal every 148min. He missed a decent chunk of the season half way thru with injury but has been on fire since then.
Itd be interesting to see him and idah up front in an all irish attack. Both big, fast, both can score and create. Both young and will get better.
Parrott can also be deployed on the wings.

DerryTim

1.) 30 May 2024 15:47:46
parrot on the wings. love it.

2.) 30 May 2024 23:54:24
I have watched Tony Parrott quite a lot when he is on Ireland duty . He seems to have got worse in recent years as far as I have seen although he seems to have had a better season in Dutch football this season .
I don’t think he will ever match the all round performance that Idah showed in his loan spell with Celtic.

If he was available for the reported 7.5m as mentioned in the press then i would imagine half of europe would be in for him. Because the reported price for an international keeper of his calibre is so low makes me sceptical. I think we obviously hold an interest but i doubt very much we have had a bid accepted for 7.5m.
I personally haven't seen much of him other than the world cup but he must be decent to be croatia No1.

only way id take tierney back would be on loan but with his contract up next season arsenal won't want a loan. I wouldn't pay more than 5 mil. Maybe add some addons like 1m per 50apps or something of the like.

Id take kelleher all day long. Fantastic shot stopper but does need to work with distribution. he's Definetly my top choice from the Gks mentioned.
It probably pie in the sky but if de gea fancied it for maybe 40k a week i wouldn't say no either.

I think transfermarkt valuation for the most part is obviously way off but i think they do a pretty decent job of valuing players in order of how valuable players are in a given squad.
For example
Oriley celtics most valuable followed by ccv, kyogo, hatate.
I don't agree with the valuations but id have them in that order in terms of highest valuations.
They monitor over 1m players so credit where its due as its a very difficult thing to manage accurately. They do a very good job overall.

We also have the young lad Tobi who has been getting good reviews.
